Kingdom Hearts: The World's Reluctant Heroes

After making sure that things had settled down in Hercules' world, which wasn't hard to do after Hades backed off and the Titans were disposed of, the group found one of the warp points and returned to their ship, allowing Sora to move them into space once more so they could find another world to visit. Such a thing meant that he could practice his skills and tackle the dangers that were lurking in the depths of space, which meant more flying around as he blasted asteroids apart, tracked down more of the crystals to empower the Gummi Ship, and opened more treasure spheres. It allowed Sombra and the rest of the group to rest and train, to prepare themselves for whatever the next world had to offer them, though this time she just decided to relax for the majority of the trip, observing the space that was around the ship while Sora focused on carefully navigating the rocks and asteroids around them. The other only thing Sombra did was make snacks for everyone, as well as a meal when it was time for Sora to take an actual break, even though she was focused on tracking down any new signatures of her brother's tampering with the other worlds that were out there.

One thing they passed by happened to be a multi ringed structure made out of metal, which held the power of a warp point for them to use in the future, which their ship registered as Sora flew by it, before a large Heartless Gummi Ship, in the form of a warrior's upper body, flew by and a dark barrier surrounded the area they were in.

"Looks like Tenebris isn't going to make this easy... you'll need to destroy it to move forward." Sombra remarked, though at the same time she knew this would be a minor inconvenience, the Heartless Gummi wouldn't do more than stall them for a few moments, causing her to focus on the world that was beyond the barrier, and the power that was coming off of it, "I hope I'm wrong, but it sure feels like someone was messing with time magic on that world."

"Sounds like your brother, and if it was him there's no telling what he's done." Sora commented, because Tenebris seemed to have a habit of messing with time, based on what they had seen so far, before he focused on the foe that was in front of them as he engaged the ship's systems again.

What they discovered was that the shoulder pieces of the Heartless Gummi could open near the top and fire shots at them, it's right hand, a claw device, could be fired at them and Sora had to dodge it before it collided with the ship, and the weapon on it's left hand fired a volley of blasts in the span of a few moments. It was an interesting machine, though it couldn't stand up to the might of their Gummi Ship since all of the various materials went into empowering it during their previous space explorations, allowing Sora to bring it down and blew it up, while Sombra snatched the heart that was freed from it. Once that was done they watched as the barrier came down and revealed a world that looked like a toy, that was exactly what it looked like based on what everyone was seeing right now, with toys scattered all around the place for some reason, which told Sombra they were likely going to be turned into toys. Other than that it didn't appear like there was anything else for them to worry about, to which Sora started to search for an area to land in, letting the ship's systems do the work like their visits to the other worlds, while everyone else got ready to warp down to a new world.

In the next moment the screen in front of them came to life with what appeared to be a show or video of some kind, a group of people fighting what appeared to be mechs while trying to save a damsel in distress, all while reality seemed to be in the middle of breaking around them... and yet Sombra focused on the leader, a serious boy that was Sora's age, in black clothing that almost looked like Sora's, who had a red eye and a blue eye, while carrying an energy sword and a crossbow.

"Woah... what was that?" Fluttershy asked, because this was the first time they had seen something like this when the ship got close to a world, like a warning or something so they could be ready for whatever was happening down on the world, to which she glanced at Sombra for a moment, "What do you think?"

"I'm not sensing any disturbances that would do what we just saw... but I get the feeling that this boy is real." Sombra said, as there was something about the figure that lead her to believe that he, and that meant his friends and his world, were real as well, but she couldn't place her finger on what that something was, causing her to raise her hand to her chin, "Interesting. I'll have to think about this some more. For now, let's head down and see what's going on."

Sora nodded as he stopped the ship and engaged the systems, allowing them to warp down to the world that was in front of them, though when they appeared in the area it warped them to the group found that they were, in fact, toys now, though all of them appeared to be dressed up as action figures. It was actually quite interesting when Sombra looked over herself and tapped her arm, finding that it felt different from what she and the others were used to, while she noticed that her gear looked more like a black knight, Fluttershy was dressed as a druid, Radiant as an archer, and Seras, as usual, was a vampire in regal clothing. Of course they found that there were a number of Heartless in the area as well, what appeared to be either troopers or scuba divers, though everyone agreed on 'Toy Troopers' since they also looked like toys, and that all of them had been shrunk down to the size of actual action figures, which was also very interesting. Since they knew that there were foes to deal with the group rushed out from under the bed they had appeared under, Sombra wasn't even questioning it as she found that they were in someone's bedroom, only to discover that there were Shadows and two Nocturne types, the red and yellow ones.

Even with that information in mind it didn't take them long to bring down the Heartless that were in front of them, just like before, though Sombra knew that there would be far more as they explored this world, but there was a source of temporal magic somewhere in the world, just as she felt from space. As she thought about that, however, a group of toys approached them, one appeared to be a piggy bank given life, one appeared to be a green dinosaur, maybe a t-rex, and the other two were far more interesting than anything else they had seen so far. One happened to be a cowboy, maybe even a sheriff, but it seemed like he didn't have a weapon on hand and that meant he was either fighting the Heartless with his fists or was just letting the others do the heavy lifting. The second was what Sombra would call a space explorer, he was dressed in what had to be a space suit, she could even see the glass helmet that would come up if he tapped something, and it seemed like he might have a pack on his back, but while the cowboy was happy to see them, and the t-rex was overly excited, the spaceman was more cautious.

The most interesting thing was that the t-rex and the piggy bank addressed Sora as 'Yozora', confirming Sombra's thoughts that the boy on the video had looked a lot like Sora, where the latter seemed to think they had been bought by 'Andy's mom' and that seemed to pacify most of them, long enough for Sora to introduce themselves to the group.

"It seems like something happened recently. Can you tell us what happened?" Sora asked, because the t-rex, called Rex by the others while the piggy bank was Hamm, seemed to mention that their friends were missing, which meant that they might be able to help them in some manner.

"One day we just woke up and most of our friends, and Andy, were just gone... those intruders also showed up, Buzz's laser started working, and we found one other toy." the sheriff, who called himself Woody, replied, while the other figure called himself 'Buzz Lightyear', though he did it with a pause when he was addressing himself, like he was nervous or wanted to be dramatic for some reason, "We haven't seen their face, but they're wearing a black robe and the intruders seem to be under their command."

"A black robe? You mean like this?" Sombra inquired, where she used her magic to make an image of the Organization, or at least those who followed Tenebris since everyone who turned to their side had switched to the gray colored version to show that they were no longer following Xehanort's path, something that caused the group of toys to nod, "That's an enemy for sure, working with someone who is seeking to do harm to the World. Where are they?"

As Woody started to respond the group found that there were little green soldier guys with them, along with three short light green skinned figures that were likely aliens, the latter each having three eyes each, who acted quite strange, almost like all three of them believed that they were aliens. After that the leader of the green soldiers, Sarge as he was called, reported that the figure they had seen was at the nearby toy store, Galaxy Toys, and when they climbed onto the nearby desk, allowing all of them to see out into the city, they discovered that it was quite far away, too far for toys to get in any significant amount of time. With that in mind Sombra formed a circular platform with her magic and made sure it was large enough for everyone to stand on, even made sure the edge was secured so no one fell off, before lifting them into the air and pushed them in the direction of the massive toy store, as it seemed to have three stories and who knew how many shops. As they did that their new friends were surprised by her magic, or at least everyone but Rex and Hamm, but she didn't let them distract her from ensuring that they reached their destination safely, and she found that in their toy forms that this place did seem to be like a colossus when compared to their new tiny sizes.

Once they reached the outside of the shop Sombra set them down and they headed inside, finding that there was no one here as well, in fact it was like the entire world was devoid of life, while all of the toys that were inside the structure weren't like Woody and his friends, they were still, before Sombra held a hand out to stop everyone.

"Come on out, ally of Tenebris! I know you're there, hiding in the shadows." Sombra stated, where she was proven right not a few seconds later as a Dark Corridor opened and Young Xehanort stepped out of it, wearing the black robe that was linked to her brother's side in the conflict that was threatening to consume the rest of the World, "Young Xehanort, the root cause of Xehanort's dark deeds... what are you doing here?"

"Though this is our first time meeting, I'm honored that you view me as a threat worth remembering." Young Xehanort said, where he snapped his fingers and some of the Toy Troopers emerged from the darkness, climbing into the motionless mech toys that were around them, like they were actually pilots, causing them to get up and jump down into the area that Sombra and the others were standing in, much to the horror of Woody and Buzz since they were forcing the toys to move against their will, "As for what I'm doing here... well, I am studying the way the hearts of this world are bonded together, so I made a copy of this world and then pulled those hearts apart."

"You're a moron. You can't copy a world... and now I understand what I felt earlier." Sombra remarked, though at the same time the mech attacked them and Fluttershy raised a barrier in front of them to stop the attack, while Radiant and the rest of the group brought down the other mechs, allowing her to focus on the figure that was looking down at them, "What you did was bind one timeline to another... you pulled Woody and his friends out of their world and dropped them in a world that is like their own, but plays by different rules. It's the freaking multiverse theory in action: the main world was one where none of these guys could use their weapons like actual weapons, and this one is one where toys have the power to fight with lasers, blasts, and everything else. You and Tenebris have no idea what sort of game you are playing: time isn't a toy for you to screw around with, and the more stress you put on it the more dire the consequences will be."

Of course Sombra knew that one could, in fact, copy a world if they made a datascape version, but this was a real world, not a simulation, meaning her thoughts had to be correct, her brother was screwing with the natural order of things and was just threatening the fabric of reality with every dumb decision he made.

"I do have to disagree with your brother on one thing: you are quite smart... far more than Tenebris gives you credit for, all things considered." Young Xehanort commented, though as he said that Sombra noticed that there was someone watching, a bronze scaled dragon humanoid who seemed to be female, who vanished once she realized Sombra had noticed her, all while the young villain didn't seem to notice the strange figure while he talked, "You are correct: we took the strands of time for two versions of this world and mixed them together, pulling and displacing people among them so I can learn about the connections a heart can make. We don't need any additional forces for when the war starts, so I am sating my curiosity before the war finally starts."

As the others brought down the mechs and the Toy Troopers, with Sombra catching their hearts, Young Xehanort left before he was caught, causing Sombra to sigh as she wondered what else they were going to discover in this world, and how much danger her brother was bringing to the World, all while hoping they could stop him before he did something incredibly stupid.
