Kingdom Hearts: The World's Reluctant Heroes

After dealing with the dangers of Woody and Buzz's world, and Sombra made sure they knew that once they had free time she'd be back to help them with their dilemma, the group returned to the Gummi Ship and set off again, to see what else the World had to offer before focusing on the upcoming Keyblade War.

"Are you sure you can fix the mess that Young Xehanort left that world in?" Fluttershy asked, because while she didn't doubt Sombra's powers, especially since they had no idea what her limits were since it had been a long time since she brought her full power to bare against their enemies, she wanted to make sure she hadn't lied to Woody's group.

"I'm positive that I can... and even if I can't, there is someone who seems to be linked to time magic following us, though I am unsure if she is an ally or an enemy." Sombra replied, where she noted that everyone else seemed confused by what she was saying, to which she raised her hand and summoned an image of the odd dragon figure she had seen, someone all of them had missed, just as Young Xehanort had missed her sudden arrivals and departures, "I noticed that she was linked to time magic, so I'm assuming that someone is checking on Tenebris' damages to the World... but like I said, I have no idea if this is a good thing or a bad thing. For now, let's keep it between ourselves, at least until I'm sure which side our visitor is rooting for, because I don't want my brother learning of her presence."

Sora nodded his understanding, he trusted Sombra and if the figure said they needed to keep this between them, until she was sure of what was going on with the World, he was going to do just that, hence why he focused on piloting the ship while Sombra tracked down the next source of dark energy. While he did that Sora found that the area of space he moved them through had more challenges for him to deal with, more materials to acquire, and what appeared to be an asteroid that had a Heartless Gummi Ship, in the form of a large worm that was eating away at the rock, who attacked them. As he did that Sombra calibrated some of the machines in the ship and formed a scanner that would allow Sora to track down the far more difficult enemies that were flying around space, because the Heartless Gummies were strong and claiming their hearts just meant depriving Tenebris of their power. That was Sombra's hope on the matter, that everything they were doing meant her brother had less to use against them when the Keyblade War started, so he didn't summon in a force of ships to attack them or something, before focusing on tracking down the dark signatures coming from the various worlds.

Eventually they tracked down the next world on their list, which appeared to be one with a tower based on what they were seeing right now, and it, too, was guarded by a space guardian, a Heartless Gummi Ship that seemed to be shaped like a flower that bloomed and sealed itself while they fought. It, like the space warrior, fired blasts at them and found ways to fire missiles as well, though at the same time Sora didn't seem at all worried about their chances, as he navigated around each of it's attacks and fired his weapons in return, harming the enemy ship since it was the only one taking damage. Radiant and the others knew that it was due to his skills in piloting their ship, because Sora had the skill to avoid attacks, deal damage on his own, and utilize the various systems that were installed in their vessel to their advantage, so they simply relaxed while he downed another powerful Heartless Gummi. With that done the barrier that was blocking the next world disappeared as the enemy ship's heart was captured by Sombra, adding another one to the collection, where Sora remained at the ready, just in case there were any new enemies for them to worry about.

Once he was sure that the coast was clear, and the others were in agreement, he got close to the world and brought the ship in again, where Sora repeated what he did whenever they visited the other worlds before warping all of them down to the new world, which was a pristine and lush world, with a kingdom far in the distance.

"This is such a pretty day." Fluttershy remarked, which was the truth, this world was far different from what they had been suspecting, in fact she was hoping that this would be one of their more peaceful worlds, where they didn't have to fight and could just go about their business like usual, before she sighed, "Sombra, someone's here on this world, aren't they?"

"Yeah, I can feel one of Tenebris' dark allies on this world, watching us." Sombra replied, not that she was surprised, for this was why the World had sent them here in the first place, to stop whoever had been sent here from doing whatever they were supposed to do, just like how Young Xehanort wanted to study the bonds between hearts, "And there are a number of Heartless coming our way."

Sure enough they found that it was a number of Bizarre Archers and a new type, a black puff ball with flower heads, which was why Fluttershy went with 'Puffball', and they were chasing a guy who seemed like a coward, he just didn't seem like the warrior type, though the group clashed with the Heartless as he ran by them. Of course the man asked them if they could handle the creatures and Sora confirmed it, allowing him to depart while they clashed with the Heartless, but he did leave a name for them to call him by if they saw him again, 'Flynn Rider'. In addition to those enemies they found that there were a number of green Nocturnes, not that anyone was surprised by their presence since the Nocturnes were some of the more common Heartless they had discovered over the years. Once the Heartless were dealt with, and they were sure that no more were coming their way, Sora and the others investigated the area that was behind them, the area that Flynn had run off in as they fought the various Heartless, and found that it was definitely a dead end, at first glance anyway.

Sombra moved some moss and vines out of the way and they discovered a secret passage leading into a hidden caldera, an area that was nice, pristine, nearly untouched, and had a tall tower that was like what they had seen before warping down to this world, meaning it had to be important.

"Okay, I have to admit that this looks impressive." Sora remarked, though at the same time it was easy for them to see that two figures were emerging from the tower, Flynn was climbing down the exterior of the tower while a teenage girl with very long hair, far longer than any that the group had seen in the past, threw her hair out of the highest window of the tower and used it to slide all the way down to the ground.

Based on what Sombra saw it sure looked like this was the first time she had visited the outside world, in fact she was afraid to touch the ground and had to gently touch her feet, her bare feet since she didn't have shoes to wear for some reason, in the span of a few drawn out moments. Flynn, after climbing down the outside of the tower, informed them that this girl was called Rapunzel, and they had made a deal with each other: he was going to escort her to the city to see the light show they were going to be putting on soon, and she would give him something he needed. He did tell them about the snag, he knew of the Heartless and knew he wouldn't be able to stand against their might, so he had added a requirement to the deal and that was that his 'sidekicks' had to come along with them, where Sombra shrugged it off. It was for the best, since this meant they didn't have to explain why they were here to the group, Flynn had provided them with the perfect cover, and based on how Rapunzel was acting it was clear that this was her first time outside the tower, since she was fascinated by the water that was gathering in a small area near her tower.

As it turned out Rapunzel was split between how to take her sudden act of rebellion against her mother, since that seemed to be what she was talking about, because one moment she was overjoyed to be outside and the next she'd switch to being terrified of what her mother would think if she discovered her disobedience. This appeared to be something she needed to work through, as she moved to the nearby body of water and talked to one of the flowers about it, seemingly okay with this act of disobedience before becoming worried about what might happen once her mother found out. Following that she went into a cave to mope for a few moments, worried that this could kill her mother, before rushing through a field like this was the best day of her life, and then she climbed into a tree and placed her head against the bark while telling them that she was a terrible daughter. To Sombra and the other Equestrians this seemed like the madness Discord could create, though at the same time Sombra remembered doing this to someone that had annoyed him greatly, something that caused her to take a moment and wonder if she should break the madness herself.

In the end it turned out that she didn't need to do anything, the mental war seemed to end when Rapunzel noticed them, all seven of them, at long last and pulled out a frying pan of all things to use against them, where Flynn explained things to her, that these were his 'sidekicks', allowing them to introduce themselves to her at long last.

As Flynn lead the way Sora and the others discovered that Rapunzel wanted to stop every now and then, something caught her eye or she had some fun in a way that was unique to her, and there were wanted posters of Flynn that the man tore down as soon as he saw them, while ensuring that Rapunzel didn't see them. Further along the path they discovered what seemed to be a large white fluff ball, which ended up being an even larger Puffball that had leaf shaped arms and a set of attire that made it look like a chief, the 'Chief Puff'. What was hilarious was that Rapunzel was actually able to help them, as she used her hair like a whip, since she was carrying most of her hair, and she could also latch onto a tall tree and swing all over the place, which seemed to damage their enemies. Sombra realized that Rapunzel had some sort of power inside her, a power that was similar to the Princesses of Heart, causing her to figure out what was going on, they were here to save one of the new bearers of the pure Light, as the previous generation had lost their Light after Maleficent's schemes, though Kairi was still one of the new seven bearers.

That told her that there were six more Princesses of Heart out there and that the World likely wanted them to know who all of them were before the big battle started, though that didn't stop them from wiping out the Heartless and capturing their hearts, allowing the group to continue on their way towards the kingdom of Corona, according to Flynn.

As they pressed forward the group found yet another new type of Heartless, which was the trend for a new world, to just add more to the growing list of enemies for them to fight, and this one was a more feminine type with a dress and a parasol, so 'Parasol Beauty', though while this type seemed to be a defensive type it was still easy to take down. Of course they were backed by a number of Bizarre Archers and Puffballs, though this just gave them a lot more Heartless to take down and all the more hearts for Sombra to snatch, since all of them were Emblem Heartless and that produced a lot of hearts when they took down their enemies. After that Rapunzel stopped at an area that had a lot of dandelions and seemed to want to see more of them fly in the air, to which Donald used Aero for a moment and knocked the flowers into the air, spreading their bits around like the girl wanted, which put a smile on her face. She also wanted them to save some rabbits from a number of Nocturne Heartless, the rabbits leading them to a treasure chest when the coast was clear, Rapunzel splashed around in a decent sized puddle of water, and she asked them to get some birds so she could hear their chirping up close, which was easy for Fluttershy to do with her natural ability.

What eventually stopped them in their tracks was a flower that had yet to bloom, a large one at that, and it happened to be made out of the same material that a Nobody was made from, which was understandable since it turned out to be one of the Reaper Nobodies when it emerged from the ground.

"Sorry guys, you won't be able to harm these foes... they're different from the Heartless." Sombra remarked, where she just gestured to the path ahead of them and Flynn took the opportunity to get himself, and Rapunzel, out of there before a fight was started, and she found that the Reaper just stared at them, it's body darker than the Nobodies they were used to seeing, to which she glanced at the area, "Okay, follower of Tenebris, you can come out now."

"So, you knew." a familiar voice said, where they found Marluxia standing there in the dark robes of Tenebris' Organization, his eyes tainted with darkness, meaning he had either been 'Norted', possessing a fragment of Xehanort's heart, or he had fallen into the darkness of his own free will, "You may refer to me as 'Dark Marluxia', if you wish... anything with 'nort' in it is unacceptable."

"And let me guess, you're either here to fulfill some personal goal before the war starts, or your interested in the Princess of Heart that's here." Sora stated, though Sombra had to smile a little as she heard that, because it seemed like working with her for as long as they had must have rubbed off on the young warrior, in fact she was sure that Sora's time with Kairi was also part of this, since she was still a Princess of Heart.

"The latter, actually. We could not find the Princesses of Heart in my timeline, so I wanted to see if I could find them in this timeline, or at least a few before the war started." Dark Marluxia confirmed, which was interesting to see, that he was willing to just tell them what he was doing here and what he was interested in, though at the same time he turned to the side for a moment as a Dark Corridor appeared nearby, "Do keep her safe... I know she's not needed in this timeline, but I would like her to remain safe all the same."

Seras and the others didn't have to say anything as Dark Marluxia stepped through the Dark Corridor and disappeared, but this did mean they would have to pay attention to Rapunzel until they dealt with whatever darkness was chasing her, and Sombra had a feeling that this world was going to be more eventful in the hours to come and was looking forward to the challenges that were no doubt coming their way.
