Kingdom Hearts: The World's Reluctant Heroes

With their time in Arendelle complete, and the group was sure that Elsa and Anna didn't need them around anymore, the group returned to the space between worlds without wasting time and returned to flying around, taking down anything that might be disastrous for their Gummi Ship. It was basically the same as before as Vanitas watched his brother fly through the space between worlds, as all he did was fly around, blast stuff out of their way, collect more resources for either the ship or for Radiant to use in her accessory crafting, and destroy enemy Gummies so Sombra could collect their hearts. Sombra found that Vanitas went into the training chamber to hone his skills, like some of the others did while they waited for Sora to find the next world they needed to visit before the final showdown with Tenebris and his dark army. An interesting thing all of them discovered was that there seemed to be no guardian Heartless Gummi blocking the way to the next world, which was just weird since they knew that the Heartless had all sorts of ships at their disposal, but it just made things easier for the group.

As it turned out their destination was another familiar world, as when Sora brought them to a stop the group discovered that the world in front of them happened to be a skull with a ship, the Black Pearl, on top of it with a pirate cap near it, and it had tentacles, like an octopus, coming out of it.

"Looks like we're heading back to the Caribbean." Seras commented, as the pirate hat looked a lot like Jack Sparrow's, one she and the others knew well from their time in Port Royal, and the change to the world's icon meant that more had to be available to them this time around.

Sora nodded as everyone noticed that the indicator for the world forms was active, meaning they would have new forms this time around, to which everyone braced themselves as he warped them down into the world in question, where it looked like they appeared on a decent sized wooden raft that was like the one Sora made a lifetime ago. Sora found that his attire was a lot like Jack's, in fact he was now wearing a tricorne on his head that concealed his spiked hair, before he discovered that Vanitas' attire was more akin to Barbossa' own, who seemed to approve of it. Donald looked more like a crewman, wearing a white shirt with a flayed blue vest over it, and he had a blue bandanna on his head, and Goofy was also dressed in a similar manner, but with beige pants, leather boots, a pale green ascot and a matching bandanna. Radiant, Fluttershy, and Seras were also dressed like members of the crew, with dirty white shirts with a vest of their personal color on it, such as an arctic blue for Radiant, pink for Fluttershy, and blood red for Seras, and each had beige pants with a bandanna colored to match their vests.

Sombra wore a faded grey shirt and matching pair of pants, though her gloves looked like a mix of leather and metal, likely a jab at her former life, with the skirt section of a gown open in front and reaching her knees, one that was also a faded grey with golden designs on it, as she found that it didn't get in the way of her movements.

"Wait... are we pirates?!" Vanitas inquired, as this was his first time in such a world, especially in a new set of attire that was different from his usual armor, though that moment was when he found that Sora was excited by this discovery and just so happened to be in the middle of humming a pirate tune, or what he guessed was one, "You're oddly happy about this."

"That's because this is one of the worlds Sora likes, far more than the others." Goofy replied, as he remembered the time the group visited Port Royal and how his friend had reacted when they encountered Jack and Barbossa, and it was fair to say that Sora loved this world because of how free it made him feel, in addition to the pirates that were around the world, but as he said that Seras tapped on his shoulder and he noticed that was in front of them.

Everyone else noticed it a few moments later, it was the literal edge of the world, a massive waterfall that seemed to head into the unknown, and Sombra discovered that there was some sort of magic in the air that was preventing them from using their powers, so their raft fell into the unknown. When they came to everyone found themselves in what appeared to be a flat white sandy place that seemed to stretch on forever in each direction, though Sombra knew exactly what this was the moment everyone was up, this was a place of punishment. This place seemed designed to drive people mad, or maybe there was no real purpose other than to make people hallucinate and drive themselves mad, it was hard to tell sometimes, but for the most part the group remained together and just glanced out at the area. This was due to the fact that they had no idea where they were and didn't want to run the risk of it separating them at the wrong moment, before Fluttershy paused as she found a white crab, which looked like a smooth oval rock when it was fully contained within it's shell, waving at her like it was trying to lead her somewhere.

It turned out that there was a reason that the crab wanted them to follow it, because it brought them to an area that had the Black Pearl in it, which happened to be on the move thanks to a massive amount of white crabs forcing it to move along the flat surface that was below them.

"Hail, Sora!" a familiar voice said, where they found that Jack Sparrow himself was running by them, running after his ship no less, to which the group followed after him without delay, as Sora and his friends knew that something was up and that this was their best chance to help get to the bottom of what was going on, "Help me catch the Pearl before she gets away!"

The group agreed and discovered that there were Heartless aboard the ship, which appeared to be bulky pirate Heartless with anchor for their right hand and a blade in their left hand, along with some Earth Cores that attacked everyone without warning, something they weren't even surprised by. Sombra found that she could use her power in this place and so did the rest of the group, to which Fluttershy used her barrier power to protect the group from the incoming fire from the ship, all while Radiant used her bow to take down the Nocturnes that were coming at them. Sora and the others retaliated with their Keyblades, hacking and slashing at the Heartless as Goofy used his shield to block attacks and Donald loosed a few spells at their various foes, while Jack, despite what was going on, joined them in dealing with these enemies. Once the last couple of Anchor Raiders, their newest enemies, were taken out, and Sombra claimed all of their hearts, the group found that the sea of crabs stopped and allowed them to climb aboard the Black Pearl, which they did so without delay.

Following that the crabs moved the ship through the wasteland and brought them to a hill that they coasted down, which just so happened to be where Will, Elizabeth, Barbossa, a magical woman who seemed more than what they were seeing at the moment, and a number of other people they didn't recognize at all, while the ship moved right into the water.

A bunch of stuff happened when they hit the water and approached the group, where Sora's group learned that they were in what was known as 'Davy Jones' Locker', which explained why Jack thought everyone was a hallucination before taking a few seconds to look at Elizabeth. This came after him revealing that 'four of them' had tried to kill him before and that 'one of them' had succeeded, causing Sombra to file that away for later since it seemed like there was a story there, plus they found that Jack and Barbossa, or 'Hector' as Jack called him, seemed friendlier than the last time they were on this world. They also found that Elizabeth was decked out in pirate attire as well, meaning a lot had happened since the last time they had come to the Caribbean, while Will informed them that Jack neglected to pay a debt to Davy Jones, so he sent the Kraken to eat Jack and the Pearl. This all but confirmed Sombra's suspicions that they had gone beyond the grave, this was a place to punish those who broke their deals with Davy Jones, and the pirate group was here to wrest Jack from his fate, as the Brethren Court had been called and Jack, one of the nine Pirate Lords, was required a council to happen, as Jack hadn't passed on his 'Piece of Eight' to his successor before he died.

"Something is afoot... I suspect a war." Sombra commented, because normally people like Barbossa, who had been brought back to life by the female soothsayer that was with the group, a figure called Tia Dalma they learned while Jack talked, would eliminate their rivals to expand their territory, but if the 'Brethren Court' had been called this meant that something major was happening, and that something was usually war.

"You aren't wrong. Cutler Beckett and the East India Trading Company want to exterminate piracy, and the Court has been called to discuss what to do about them." Barbossa stated, though what they discovered was that he had a special map that forced Jack to accept that they were here to help him, and what was interesting was that he was willing to overlook the fact that Sora and the others had brought him down the last time they saw him, "He also holds the heart of Davy Jones, thus he controls the Flying Dutchman, the deadliest ship in the vast seas."

"So we're facing impossible odds. What else is new?" Sora remarked, as this seemed to be the norm for them, they always had these strange odds to overcome and usually overcame them, so he wasn't even remotely surprised by this discovery, to which they climbed on the Black Pearl and helped everyone else climb aboard the vessel.

Jack, despite being the main captain and having someone to place at the helm of the ship, allowed Sora to do it, almost like he knew of the boy's dream and was willing to make it a reality, where Sora got them underway and followed Jack's lesson on how to move the ship as he sailed towards the pair of rocks that were pointed out to him. As it turned out there were more Heartless for them to worry about, ships that materialized out of the fog and seemed to get in their way, where Jack allowed Sora's group to move around the Pearl for a few moments, preparing the cannons and their magic for battle. Vanitas stood by for a moment and noticed something odd, the enemy pirate ships had exposed weaknesses, and when he pointed this out to Sora his brother nodded and had the others fire on those points, blasting the ships out of the water with ease, which was a mistake on the part of the Heartless. Of course Sombra captured the hearts of the Phantom Ships, they had them so it made sense to remove more potential allies for Tenebris' cause, though once that was done they continued to sail towards the peaks that Jack had mentioned.

Following that everyone settled in for a time as Jack used his compass to navigate the waters, and he looked at the map that Barbossa had brought with them, while Tia Dalma came by to talk with the group, since she was surprised that they were even friends with Jack. Sombra noticed that she instantly knew that they weren't from this world, especially when Sora tried to explain that they were from a 'different sea', in fact she was sure that Tia Dalma was a goddess in her own right, it was the only thing that made sense given that they knew nothing about her. She did give them a lot of information on Davy Jones, so they knew who they might be dealing with in the future, that Jones had raised the Pearl for Jack and made him Captain for thirteen years, with the payment being his very soul as a member of the crew that served aboard the Flying Dutchman for an undetermined amount of years. This was where the Kraken entered the picture, sent to devour Jack and bring the Pearl back to the depths, and Tia Dalma knew that if Jones learned that Jack was cheating his fate he was going to punish him, and all those who helped him, with something worse than the locker.

In order to escape his fate Jack needed the box that was now being used to control Jones, the box that contained the heart of Davy Jones, which was why the pirate was planning on going after the box once the Brethren Court was done with their little meeting, but for now they needed to escape the Locker.

Jack eventually came up with a plan, one that involved making a noise to attract attention to himself before he rushed over to one side of the ship, acting as if there was something off in the distance, and once people were near him Jack rushed over to the other side. Sombra and the others realized what was going on immediately, he was rocking the Pearl for some reason, and when she looked at the map she noticed that the center read 'up is down', where Barbossa fell into his role as Jack's second within seconds as he understood what was going on. Together they were able to force the ship to capsize, one side hitting the water and forcing everyone to hold their breath for a time, where Sombra made sure to provide air bubbles with her magic, though while one would deem Jack insane she had a feeling that this was the key to leaving this place. Not even a few moments later she felt a light happen above the water and they watched as they came rushing towards the surface of another body of water, where she realized they had passed into the land of the living and burst out of the water, returning to the Caribbean like it was nothing.

"And, to the surprise of no one, we've got more Heartless." Vanitas remarked, as he was starting to understand how Sora and his friends took to the various worlds, and how their enemies seemed to react to their presence, where he pointed out a large vulture-like Heartless that seemed to be made of wood and metal with a bone head, with a cannon coming out of a joint on each wing, and there were a bunch of small bug-like Heartless with vapor coming out of them.

"So the 'Vaporflies' and the 'Raging Vulture', I guess." Radiant stated, though at the same time she switched to her bow for a moment and gathered her magic in one of her special arrows, because it appeared that they were on a schedule now and getting into a fight with a powerful Heartless seemed like a bad idea, "Allow me to deal with them."

Sombra found that Radiant wasn't kidding, the arrow that rushed into the air separated into a volley of arrows that slammed into the various Vaporflies, releasing a series of hearts for her to capture, and the main arrow struck the Raging Vulture right in it's chest, the sheer power tearing through it's defenses and releasing it's heart, which she also captured.

"There's also a Nobody ship off in the distance... bet it's our enemies, likely 'Dark' Luxord." Seras commented, pointing at the odd blue ship she had noticed, which was definitely sailing away from them right now, as she was sure that she had guessed who their foe was, since he was the most familiar with the Caribbean, out of Tenebris' allies anyway.

As Sora opened his mouth, however, he and the others stumbled for a moment as time lurched forward again, this time all of them hit what appeared to be a small beach on an island of some kind, and from what he could tell Jack's group was just gone, causing him and the others to groan as they sat up.

"Okay, so we lost a few more minutes, maybe more... I'm actually getting sick of this." Sora remarked, as it ruined the flow of their time in the various worlds, just slipping through time like this and missing out on what was going on, before he sighed as he glanced at the rest of the island, which might have an underwater passage for them to explore, "I guess we'll have to explore the island and hope we find a ship."

Sombra nodded, even though she agreed with Sora, this slipping through time was getting old real fast, despite the fact that she was worried about what it might mean for the World as a whole, and knew that they would have to press onward to see what else the Caribbean had to offer them.
