My Little Pony - Jar of The Eyes
Discord
Previous ChapterNext ChapterChapter 2 - Discord
Twilight awoke from sleep.
"ugh,"
"probably should lay down a little while longer," another pony said.
Twilight looked over to see it was the orange pony with the yellow mane.
"ah know you probably have a lot of questions right now, but just wait,"
Twilight just once again groaned and flipped her head over.
"I can't," Twilight stops.
"Can I at least get some answers from you all?" Twilight asked.
"Ah'll see what I can do," Applejack said softly.
Twilight waited.
Twilight felt a familiar presence in the room.
"Discord?" Twilight said flatly.
"..."
"It really has been a long time, hasn't it Twilight?" Discord says in a softer tone.
"I know,"
"What has happened to you since then?" Discord asked curiously.
"I-" Twilight closes her eyes.
"Can't talk about that right now," She said.
Discord looked to Twilight with a concerned face.
"Twilight, I know it's been like 3 years but I know when something's eating at you," he said.
Twilight looks away.
"I thought you would have died by now, seeing you is such a relief to me," he said.
"But why come here, what is it that you are not telling me?" Discord asked in an increasingly desperate tone.
Discord lowered himself.
Twilight looked up.
"When you left I was in a very weird place" Twilight started.
"...Twilight, if you don't want to do this, you don't have to," He said.
"I-" Twilight once again stuttered uncertain of her next course of action.
"What have you been up to Discord?" Twilight asked.
"Lots of things... Like... Screwball," He said in a wacky tone.
"Screwball?" Twilight said with a scrunched-up face
"My daughter," he said happily.
"What the HAY," Twilight said in complete shock.
"Well not really my daughter, but one that I took in," he said.
"Why give her the name Screwball?" Twilight asked, saying the name with a scrunched-up face once again.
"Don't worry about this right now," he said in such a calming voice that Twilight shuddered out a breath.
"I wish we could of-"
"No" Discord cut her off with a serious tone, causing Twilight's blood and the room's energy to run cold around him.
Discord then relaxed a bit.
"S-sorry, just... I gonna leave, okay?" Discord finished as he left the room.
When Discord left the room, Twilight shakily sighed, and a soft whimper escaped her.
She sniffed a few times and closed her eyes.
Twilight awoke once again to be greeted by Applejack... Once again...
Twilight yawned.
"Finally awoke ah see," She said looking forward at something.
"I think I have waited long enough, can anypony tell me what is happening?!" Twilight said frustrated.
"ah'm sorry, but not until Discord says we can," She said.
"Why are you even listening to him?!"
"It's just somethin' we all owe to him,"
Twilight once again whimpered in discomfort.
Twilight got up.
"I don't know why I can't be in bed though," Twilight said.
The moment she got up she felt immediate pain.
"When you passed out, you hit your head pretty bad,"
Twilight was gasping, holding the bed for support
"Also, probably a good time for you to get up right now. The headache is probably just the blood rushing everywhere, haven't moved in almost a whole day," she said.
"Ok, I get it," Twilight said in a frustrated tone.
"Just thought you would want to know,"
"Why can't I just talk to everyone?" She said.
"Well, we have the advantage on you now, so we say what goes," Applejack said.
Twilight knew of Discord's power and ability, so she knew she wouldn't be doing anything anytime soon.
"Can I talk to Discord?" Twilight asked.
"Not until he's ready," Applejack said, her tone having a venom behind it now.
"Please, wait where is Spike?" she asked.
"You mean the dragon? He's with us, been waiting for you to wake up,"
"Haven't you told him?"
"Of course not, waiting for leader's approval,"
Twilight wanted to scream into her pillow.
"What are you doing with him?" Twilight asked.
"Playing cards with the others last time ah checked"
Twilight just looked at the ground.
Twilight tried to get back up but slowly and gradually.
She fell again.
"Can I have a drink?" Twilight asked.
Applejack yelled for somepony to get up.
Rarity came up.
"What is it, I don't want the other ponies waiting for me-" She stopped as she looked at Twilight.
"Go get Twilight a drink," Applejack ordered.
As Rarity left, Twilight tried to get back onto the bed.
Rarity came back with a glass of water.
Twilight winced at the water as it was brought to her.
She grabbed it and looked at it suspiciously.
She gulped and brought the glass to her mouth and took a sip.
Her throat ached and burned from the new sensation on her dry throat.
She continued to drink from the glass and started taking bigger sips until it was all gone.
Twilight let out a yawn as she placed the glass on the desk next to the bed's side.
Twilight finally felt some strength coming back to her and slowly stood up.
This time Twilight fully got up and leaned her weight down.
She started walking and felt fine.
Twilight took a few breaths.
"You can go now Rarity," Applejack said.
Rarity swiftly left, and Twilight started hearing downstairs get louder with voices.
Twilight felt like she needed to escape.
But before that, she needed Spike.
She didn't know why Celestia brought her here.
She knew to probably just wait because Celestia would meet her here.
That's what Celestia said.
Twilight moved to the door only for Applejack's hoof to now be blocking her path.
"Can I leave?!" Twilight said with a raised tone.
"Not until Discord says so,"
Twilight almost punched her in the face.
Twilight walked back to the bed.
When Applejack relaxed, Twilight sprinted to the door and opened it.
She heard Applejack yell.
Twilight looked to both sides of the hallway, she realized the stairs and ran for them.
Applejack was right behind her, and she kicked Applejack.
Applejack screamed out.
Ponies were now coming up the stairway and she saw spike holding some cards at the bottom of the stairs.
"Twiligh-" Spike said, only cut off by the new ringing in Twilight's ears.
She was surrounded.
She knew this would be risky, but she needed to do it.
She teleported to the end of the stairs, right behind Spike.
Spike gasped in shock.
She grabbed spike and ran towards the door.
Discord was in front of the door.
Twilight looked up, terrified.
"Twilight what are you doing?" Discord asked.
Spike looked confused while on Twilight's back.
She tightly held spike and teleported outside the house.
She was right outside the door gasping for air.
Twilight wondered why Discord didn't use any of his powers, but the thought slipped her mind as ponies opened the door to the outside and Twilight ran and hid.
Twilight was gasping for air.
"What was that?" Spike asked, demanding answers.
"They wouldn't let me leave," Twilight said.
Spike looked at Twilight confused.
"Well, it's obvious that Celestia would have come here already, so I don't think she is coming, or we missed her because we got caught up in that house," Spike said.
"Then why would she send me here if she didn't plan on coming herself, or for me to gather anything?" Twilight asked.
Spike looked at the ground.
"No Spike," Twilight said angrily.
"Maybe it's cause-"
"NO, Spike!"
"Look around you, she banished Discord and now he's here, maybe she banished yo-"
Twilight started to yell at Spike.
"I didn't. I-I," Tears started to brim Twilight's eyes.
"Please," Twilight begged.
"I know you don't want to admit it, but it's here," Spike said.
"We didn't even know this town existed, and it's right outside Canterlot for Pony's sake," Spike said.
"She hid from us," Spike finished.
"I-"
