Author's Note

I'm gonna start this story with the modern short that inspired me to write this. The original concept was Fluttershy (Mickey) and Discord (Goofy/Ghouly) but after i thought of the cast i had to change it to Twilight (Mickey) and Pinkie Pie (Goofy/Ghouly)

Ghoul Friend

Twilight Sparkle was simply taking a joy drive whistling a tune it was a pretty perfect day for her. It was sunny, the sky was clear, only interrupted by the occasional cumulus humilis or cirrus cloud, and to add to that there was also a rainbow across the sky.

She had also dropped off both her pets, her pet alligator Gummy and her one of a kind pet fish Nova with her marefriend Fluttershy making it a pretty care free day for Twilight and was pretty much the reason why she's taking this joyride in the first place.

The unicorn then drove past an arrow shaped sign that said Peach Garden This Way pointing backwards the opposite direction Twilight was driving.

"I could go for some peaches!" Twilight thought, looking down but still focusing on the road and driving forward, she debated for a few feet but eventually decided to go to that Peach Garden. As she went to turn her car around out of nowhere, suddenly, abruptly etc her car started sputtering and eventually broke down.

"Well there goes my perfect day" Twilight muttered while getting out of her car to find the problem and see what's wrong with her car. When she lifted the hood she found the problem, turns out that the radiator cap in her car was open which caused it to start steaming.

"This should be a pretty easy fix!" the unicorn commented before gripping the radiator cap and turning counter clockwise careful not to push down. When the cap didn't seem to budge, she tried again this time dusting her hands off to make sure she had a good grip, when it didn't work she realized that this was a serious problem.

After that failed Twilight finally took notice of her surroundings, she seemed to be in a cemetery it was very misty and cloudy, there was also a bunch of dead trees and plants and it wouldn't be a cemetery without tombstones. When she looked back all she saw was fog she honestly had no idea how she managed to drive so deep into this cemetery.

"Hello anypony here my car broke down!" Twilight called out hoping to at least get the attention of this cemetery's groundskeeper. After a few seconds of waiting the unicorn finally realized she was on her own, she then walked over to her trunk and pulled out an very oversized toolbox.

"What do i have in this thing!" Twilight frustratingly said while stumbling around trying to put her toolbox down. She eventually managed to get the hang of it and placed it down with a loud clang. She undid both the latches and opened the toolbox only to find a tiny wrench the size of a cracker inside which also revealed that all the box's weight came from the container itself.

She picked it up and examined it "Welp better work with what i have" Twilight thought, she then heard thunder causing her to get scared and rush over to her radiator cap.

The tiny wrench just clanked against the cap each time Twilight tried to use it, she then heard rustling nearby which creeped her out and made her hand shiver a lot and drop the wrench. She reached down to pick up as she did so she looked under her legs and saw a figure hiding in the bushes.

Twilight ended up diving behind her car and when she raised her head to look the figure came out of its hiding spot and revealed itself to just be a bunny. Seeing this the unicorn just laughed this off, the bunny on the other hand saw a figure appear from the mist and as a result he somehow screamed like a filly before hopping away.

When Twilight turned around herself she saw the figure right as the mist cleared. The figure revealed itself to be a ghoul but seemed to resemble a zombie better. The zombie resembled her friend Pinkie Pie zombiefied most of her body had exposed bone, her torso was the only part that didn't have exposed bone but instead rotten flesh.

Moving onto her head, most of her puffy mane was dirty and some of it was missing, finally as a strange addition she also had rainbow paint smeared around her mouth and chin there was even a few stains of rainbow paint on different parts of her body.

Twilight yelled in terror before running away leaving her horseshoes behind, she quickly ran back to put them back on before running away again. She runs into a tree branch but instead of hitting her face on it she manages to turn the tree around causing her to almost run into the Pinkie Zombie.

The unicorn stopped herself in time and ran away from the Pinkie Zombie and saw that it tried to grab her. Twilight ran away, ducking under branches and occasionally looking back even though the Pinkie Ghoul was just standing there completely still.

"Zombies are slow!" Twilight reminded herself both in her mind and out loud as she scrambled to climb a large rock, eventually making her way over it, despite this the Pinkie Zom-Ghoul didn't even move a muscle or bone in this case standing completely still.

The next thing Twilight did was jump across some lilly pads each one sinking once the unicorn jumped off them,

"Zombies can't swim!" Twilight reminded herself in her mind, despite how far the unicorn had ran away, Zombie Pie still didn't move an inch.

Twilight climbed over a log before turning around to go inside it to both hide from Ghoul Pie and to catch her breath.

"Phew!" she said wiping sweating from her brow, she poked her head out of the log to check if the coast was clear and when she looked to the left she found Zom-Pie in the log with her.

"AHHH!" Twilight yelled trying to run away only for Skele-Pie to stand up and due to her being 2 feet taller than her at 6 feet the unicorn's running just caused the log to spin around the earth pony's neck.

The unicorn calmed down after realizing she wasn't moving she then looked at the zombiefied earth pony who reacted by screaming and running away. Both ponies started screaming as they ran across a field of small hills which ended after the log they were in crashed into a rock and got stuck in between a pit which poured the 2 ponies out into the river below.

Twilight resurfaced after a few seconds of being underwater, she then saw the end of the river indicating a waterfall she tried to swim away but the river current was too strong so as a result she ended up going down the waterfall.

The purple unicorn washed up on shore a few moments later leaving a mark in the wet sand, she quickly brushed herself off before letting out a sigh of relief "Well at least it's finally over."

A few seconds later Zombie Pie came out of the pond the rainbow paint still on her body and her torso completely filled with water, to Twilight it looked like she was gonna pop like a balloon but instead ended up springing leaks which make the unicorn a little uncomfortable.

Twilight didn't waste a second cause right as soon as all the water was gone from Ghoul Pie's body she scrambled to get up and ran away. When she looked back she saw the zombified earth pony actually moving, chasing her grunting madly which looked absolutely terrifying, the zombie was failing both her arms and legs around while dashing after her.

When Twilight looked forward she just barely managed to slide under a tree branch. Zom-Pie ended up crashing straight into the branch and go to pieces but instead of stopping in its tracks the pieces just came back together as a mangled creation that resembled a spider with 2 heads.

The unicorn found herself at a cliff side that had a pretty foggy and deep drop, she looked back and saw ZomGhoul-Pie rushing at her, in response Twilight covered her face and hoped for the best. Zombie-Pie crashed right through Twilight and off the cliff revealing that it was a decoy made out of pine cones and other natural materials.

The real Twilight came out from behind a rock and walked over to the cliff to double check. She ended up seeing the zombified earth pony grabbing onto a very loose branch, getting worried Twilight reached a hand down hoping the zombie will be flexible enough to reach.

The branch eventually broke off which sent Zom-Pie into the pit below letting out a hollar which echoed through the pit.

"Welp at least it's finally over." Twilight said half sad, half relieved as she started walking away. Pinkie Zombie's body parts end rolling up the other side of the pit going up and then launched backwards.

The feet and legs land in front of Twilight first making her freeze, shortly followed by the upper part of her body and finally as a finishing touch the rainbow paint which as far as the unicorn could tell landed in the exact same spots on her mouth, chin and body.

"You wouldn't hit a mare with glasses?" Twilight asked nervously using her finger to make circles around her eyes hoping that Pinkie Zom-Pie isn't the type of pony to hit someone with glasses and that she won't have to resort to jumping off the cliff.

Twilight covered her face waiting to either get her brain eaten or getting bit and turning into a zombie herself. That moment never came though cause when she looked Pinkie Ghoul-Pie was handing her an arm bone to use was a tool "Huh thanks." Twilight simply responded

Getting back to her broken down car Twilight uses Pinkie Zombie's bone as a wrench to twist her radiator cap counterclockwise which stopped the steaming.

Twilight handed the ghoul back her arm bone before starting up her car and driving out of the creepy cemetery with Pinkie Ghouly Pie in the passenger seat. The earth pony turns on the radio and Twilight continues to whistle a tune as they both head to that Peach Garden
