Red dead redemption: the Legends

The sun begins to rises as our two surviving human and pony walk down the path, now in grass plans Red let his coat off to feel the nice summer breeze flow past his skin before he then looks over to Rubyway.

“So, what’s your story?” She asked, Red says nothing while he hands his coat on his back before spitting on the dirt. The mare snorts and trots up ahead “not much of a talker Harlow?” She said feeling his eyes on her as she soon looks back at him.

“My story is not for you to hear” he said and she chuckled slowing down at the same past as the human. Red continues looking but then sees Ruby adjusted her mane before looking back up at the man.

“Maybe I can cut you a deal?” She asked getting him to look at her, feeling rather annoyed Red grunts and looks forward again.

“If you show me about your hand being covered in cloth, I’ll tell you my story” she sets out as Red rubs his chin before sighing he shows off his hand and moves his cloth off the Rubyway the burned scare covering his hand.

“My Weapon was in a fire… and I shot a man with it leaving the scar” he said before covering it up again as the mare then pouts wanting to know more. She then sighed as she trots pass by an unexpected rock nearly tripping on it, Red frowns as he then gets the mare to look up at him.

“What’s your story then?” He asked keeping the look as the mare sighed looking at the dirt she nods to herself and then tells her story.

“I’ve not been a… mercenary for a year and yet… I suck at it, my parents are dead and have no pony to look for guides for me” she says as then looked up at Red as he hums to himself, taking as the cue to continue she looks ahead “I ditched school, lost my house and then became a broke mare! And now I nearly almost died if you didn't save and-“ she stops, blinks before she narrowed her eyes up to the human as they soon turn to the left.

“Hey… why did you save me?” She said

Red slaps a hand to his face as he then frowns down at the mare, this might go bad if he thinks on what would happen. He simple adjusts his belt and muttered “your alive due to knowing information on my target” he said truthful as the mare soon regretted to ask.

“Oh… wait if I said no you-“

“Would have left you… or shot you” he said making the mare stop glaring at the cowboy as he rests a hand on his revolver, she stops and takes a breath “you… your going to have me locked up?” She said and he nods at her but then lifts a finger up as he then walks past her

“If you give me the information” he said

“And what if I just run away?” She said making Red stop, slowly putting a hand in his revolver again as he frowns looking back at the mare.

“Then the deal is off…” he says as Rubyway gulps the lump in her throat before trotting up to Red. She snorts a bit but then sighed nodding to herself, she Is alive thanks to him, but now pays the price of being locked up or waiting to be locked up.

“But if you do help, maybe even try and prove yourself… maybe… just maybe you can have your jail time shorter” he reassured making Ruby nod again. Not much was said after that, the two decided to save the energy and continue onwards on the trail. But not too later the sight of canterlot was in sights. Red soon stops as he then turns around to look at the mare, he pulls out a rope making Ruby step back a bit.

“You aren’t expected… I’ll need your weapons and have you tied, the princess rules” he said

“Why? Canterlot is good hours away” she said frowning a bit looking at the rope, Red rolled his eyes as he taps a foot on the dirt waiting for the mare to make her move. She scoffed and drops her crossbow and bolts and gets her hooves tied.

“This is stupid! What? Are you going to carry me all the way-“ she stops as Red then pulls a flair out and drops it, he then sits down on a rock next to Rubyway. He adjusted his hat as soon a minute later a chariot arrived In front of him.

“Mr Harlow? Your back! And you found… a mare?” The guard asked

Red snorts picking Ruby up and placed the mare in the chariot and soon sits in. He taps the roof and no sooner later the chariot takes off, Ruby gasped trying to stay still but freaks out as she was moved to one side and the other.

“You didn’t do this because of this did you?” She said making Red smirk a bit as he sits back and catches his breath. Ruby just frowns but then squeaked as she was moved again. Red soon slowly falls rest, relaxing his shoulders and legs from both fighting and running. But once then he opens his eye to see Luna there, knowing that he is in a dream he rubs his eyes as he then looks at the princess of the night.

“Progress?” She said

“I’m on my way… target had escaped, get Celestia” he says simply and the princess nods soon disappears making him slowly wake up again form Ruby still shouting. He smiles lightly as he looks outside seeing the castle in sights.

Red now walks along with guards as he was entering the castle, Ruby was kept close but had the rope gone and had shackles on her hooves. She grunted but stop to see the two big doors leading to the thrown room, Red opens it and sees the two rulers look down at him. He takes a bow along with the guards before Ruby was then pushed forward and stands next to the cowboy.

“Mr Harlow, good to see you back my friend” Celestia greets smiling warmly as the cowboy nods up to her. She soon eyes Ruby as she tries to keep her cool not trying to panic, looking back she shows a quizzical brow “Luna said that the target escaped, is this true?” She asked

Red nods as he looks over to Rubyway “we did learn his name, from this mare who was working with him” he said

Ruby can feels the eyes gaze into her soul as Celestia brows then lowered as she frown at the mare “uh… Rubyway your majesty” she said with a quick bow before she was then greeted by the ruler up closer now, she flinched but stop as Celestia looks over to Red

“She worked with Crusher?” She asked, Red nods as he then pulls his revolver out and starts to clean it, Celestia shifted her gaze to Ruby now “tell me Ms Way… why are you here?” She said her voice still keeping its clam.

“I well… Ive been working with Crusher for about a year… but there more of us, and I believe I’m a dead mare if I even leave this castle” she said looking down at the floor, Celestia nods and smiles lightly but then fades as Harlow give her a look of how dangerous.

“Ma’am… this Crusher had been capturing ponies and killed them… he is working with some kind of cult” Red said as he pulls the blueprint.

“When I was captured I was-“

“What!” Luna then shouted as she then trots over to the human “how long?” She asked giving a stern look as he rubs a chin “day maybe… but that’s not the problem” he says handing the blueprint to the night princess. She looks at the page and then glairs daggers at it before handing it to Celestia.

“Harlow… what is this?” Celestia asked

“Blueprints, to building weapons… my weapons” he says hearing some of the guards murmur as Celestia then frown again looking over to Ruby “tell me Ms Way…” she said making her flinched

“Who is your boss working with?” She asked

Rubyway shives as she steps back a bit but was stopped by Red as he also frowns at the mare “I… I don’t know, Crusher… he had only me work with him one day and started capturing ponies, that’s all I know” she said as Red then frowns more.

“BUT! I- I can take you to Crusher’s location base!” She says as she now was on the floor trying not to cry, but was felt a hand touch her back making her look back and see Red who give her a small smile “remember…” he said looking back at Celestia “your majesty, I wish to have Ruby have to my care… she know Crusher, so I wish to have her escort me to him” he said

Celestia looks at the mare and then back at Red, she smiles now and nods her head slowly before turning away “very well bounty hunter, but she will be in the dungeons until then” she said as Luna was handed back the blueprints and instantly trots out the room with them.

“For now, Harlow?”

“Yes?”

“Mr Morgan and Mr Marston are in there way here in two day… I wish for you to stay, Twilight has told me something about your interaction with the other humans. Rest and relax until then my friend” she said in her regular voice. Red nodded but then looks over to Ruby, she smiles a little bit then was pushed aside and was taken to the cells.

“Thank you your highness… I’ll be here” he said turning around and makes his way to the spare chambers for a good long rest.

Well now… Red and Ruby are alive and now have returned to canterlot, what happens next with the human reunion? And how will Red explain the situation right now?
