Today was the day that Anubis, Silverfeather and Eclipse were departing for the griffon empire, Celestia was a little sad but relieved that Anubis would be out of Equestria let alone Canterlot.”

She guessed the only upside to it was that she could get all the paperwork and documentation for all of Anubis’s projects as he called them ready for his return.

This also meant that she could also monitor his projects, she loved him but Anubis was beyond secretive.

That was one of the things she liked about him, no matter how much she thought she understood him. There was always more to discover like a book that never ends and hates to reveal its contents.

whilst she looks into helping her love run his companies that she basically gave him, she would have to leave that information out of official documents.

Meanwhile in the griffon Royal airship.

“Ouch! Bloody hell, that’s the fifth time I’ve done that already. Grrrrrrrrah blasted thing!”

“Oh Nubie get over it or under it, it’s your own fault for being so tall.”

“Daddy’s hight is perfect mommy, it’s the ship that’s too small.”

“Don’t act like you haven’t the foggiest Anubis, I wouldn’t be surprised if you get voted Canterlot’s most eligible Bachelor.”

“How? Our marriage has been announced to the City, so I can’t be.” She cut him off with an envious tone.

“You think that will stop them!? Don’t be stupid Nubie, to ponies marriage only makes you hotter. Not only that but you’re now thought to be a murderer too.

“Ooh does it now~ interesting….”

“Ahh I’m under siege, help Silver!”

“No.”

They eventually got to the royal quarters of the airship, Anubis immediately began to pack everything away for the four week long journey.

“So Anubis, are you going to be able to survive the trip. I know how bored you get when you can’t do any of your experiments or me~ but I need you to hold out. Smooch*”

“I’m sure I’ll manage….”

Eclipse just shot her mom a knowing look that went unnoticed.

“But I must inquire, how does being a murderer make me more enticing to the opposite sex?”

“Sigh* you know how, I mean Celestia is a prime example. It’s your danger, mysterious and secretive nature that interests her but above all it’s the fact that you’re a predator.”

“Fair point but that’s just her, I hardly see how the majority of mares find that attractive?”

“Oh really? You find it hard to believe that in a society where the male population is timid, a large extremely dominant predator isn’t attractive?”

“I know but I just wanted to hear it out of you, my lovely hen.”

“And your only hen, I care not what you do with Celestia and Cloudy or any other pony…. But I will not tolerate any other hens Anubis.”

“If I recall, you and Celestia not only agreed to share me but you two also invited Cloudy into our room.”

“Okay I see where you’re coming from but we shouldn’t have this conversation in front of our daughter.”

They looked over to Eclipse to find her happily doodling in an empty book.

“Why not? We’re not disturbing her.”

“Shut up.”

“I’m not the one who gets extraordinarily turned on by watching me mount another and before you try to lie, I can read your biometrics at all hours my dear.”

She went so red Anubis believed that this was the most embarrassed she had ever been. Silver couldn’t even formulate a sentence, she was just a mess of flustered stuttering.

“Y-y-you jerk! You weren’t s-supposed to know I like that! But don’t you dare mount any other hens!!!”

Anubis didn’t flinch but he knew that he had pushed her a little too far, so he brought her into a feathery hug.

“No Anubis let go.”

“Shut up now, you have nothing to be embarrassed about. You like what you like and I respect that, you also don’t have to worry about me sleeping with any hens.”

“Really?”

“Really my dear, I care not for other hens for you are mine and mine alone.”

“Thanks Anubis….”

“My pretty little bird, but judging by your body heat, are you going to survive this trip without being ridden?”

“Anubis!!! You prick, our daughter is right there!”

Whilst Silver berated her husband to be for reading her biometrics, Eclipse was giggling at her father’s situation.

But that didn’t help put her fears to rest regarding if her mom could go without satisfying her needs for a whole four weeks.

Eclipse would be lying if she wasn’t curious about how it would work between her extremely large father and significantly smaller mother. Now that she thought about it, she didn’t know what boy griffons had between their legs.

She vigorously shook the thought from her head and tried to get back to doodling.

Then out of nowhere she was lifted up into the air and met her dad’s crimson eyes, although up close she now noticed that he had a thin blue line around his eyes.

The colour contrast was beautiful but barely noticeable without further inspection. but separating the two colours was a light purple at the precipice of the mixing of reds and blues.

She found herself getting lost in those cosmic coloured orbs her father used to see, then Anubis began scratching behind her ears which snapped Eclipse from her trance.

“Okay Eclipse, let’s see what they have for food on board this ship.”

“Eh um oh yes…. I’m a little hungry.”

“Nubie, please grab me some eggs on toast.”

“Of course.”

“Thank you.”

Anubis placed Eclipse on his back and went to leave the royal quarters but the little cub slid down her dad’s tail and climbed off.

The griff continued walking whilst his daughter happily trailed behind him, she found the airship amazing.

Eclipse watched as the ship crew all gazed at her and her father as they passed through, but upon entering the airship’s on board dining room.

She watch as Anubis was immediately met by the griffon maids.

“You’re lord ship, would you and your lovely daughter like to try the finest in the Empire’s dining?”

“Or would his lord ship and the young lady like to try some of the Empire’s best coffee?”

“I’d like to try some breakfasts from Silver’s homeland and tea please, what about you sweetie?”

“I’d love to daddy but mommy?”

“Yes I know, my wife to be wants eggs on toast if you please. We’ll be waiting in our room.”

“Oh of course my lord.” And the eldest and most professional maid went off to take care of the morning breakfast for her highness and her mate, she knew that the youngest and cutest family member would need something to help her grow up strong.

So she would handle it appropriately, like a royal maid of the Empire should.

When she brought princess Silverfeather her breakfast, she made a note to congratulate her on choosing such a suitable choice in a griff and future husband.

Meanwhile Anubis was being pestered by the younger and less proper maids that were to Infatuated with Eclipse’s dad.

This was infuriating to her, the audacity of these hens…. No these animals, trying desperately to make a good impression on her dad.

They finally escaped from the hoard of maids and Eclipse didn’t know if she should tell her mother about all the hens trying to flag down her dad but to her surprise.

She didn’t have to.

“Bloody hell dear, you wouldn’t believe what we just been through all for some breakfast. It was fucking funny.”

“Funny?!? Daddy you were under attack!”

Silver immediately dropped her tea that was handed to her by the head maid, who also had breakfast all laid out for them.

Silverfeather looked horrified but the elderly maid just rolled her eyes.

“I wasn’t actually under attack, but I think it best if you make the requests from now on…. Partly because of the maids on board the airship.”

Silver just looked at him and turned to her daughter.

“Mommy they were trying to steal daddy from us.”

Then the head maid spoke. “How disgraceful, to think we allow such hopeless hens to become maids…. Apologies for speaking up your highness.”

“I agree Greta, but I assume you’re going to train that habit out of them.”

“Of course.”

“Good, I don’t want the same problem my mother had. But Anubis come here please.”

“Um sure dear?” He complied and sat down next to her.

Silverfeather began to thoroughly inspect her mate’s body, checking for any signs of scent marking.

She immediately found sure signs of scent marking, fury boiling up but she quickly composed herself and turned to take Anubis’s cup of tea.

“Angry are we?”

“Huff* and what if I am?”

“Don’t be, you told me what you would tolerate from me. So don’t believe that I would ever indulge in another hen without your permission.”

Eclipse watched her mom visibly relax against her dad’s side.

“Good to know I get the say.”

“If I may speak freely your highness?”

“You may.”

“Consider the current state of the Empire and the clearly superior genetics of your mate, it wouldn’t be unusual for you to stud him off to the daughters of noble families.”

Anubis went to add his own opinion but Silver silenced him.

“I know it’s happened in the past but Anubis isn’t going to be used to help add funds to the treasury or to gain favour with them….”

“It’s funny, for a royal you hate the nobles, oh the irony my love but I could help the empire generate income in other ways.”

“Remember what I said, no hens.”

“Greta, does the Empire have a similar issue to Equestria?”

“And what issue is that?”

“A lack of males.”

“No but there is a lack of males capable of have cubs, it’s been a growing problem and with no end in sight. I believe it will eventually become the down fall of the Empire.”

“Mhmmm seems like an easily fixable problem, I’ll look into it, I’m sure you agree that it’s a better solution then having me sleep around Silver?”

“It’s far more preferable….”

The two looked to each other and went to eat their breakfast but Anubis found that his was already being eaten.

“Oh my, Eclipse that was your dad’s breakfast dear.”

“It’s fine, I’m sure the maid will be happy to get more for me please?”

“Right away, but would you like me to get the young lady more?”

“Of course.”

“Would you like some pork ribs little one?”

“Yes please Miss.”

“Can I have some too as well.”

“I don’t know, she’s eating a lot already.”

“Oh but your highness, it’s good that she has such an hearty appetite, it means she’ll grow up big and strong like her father.”

“But.”

“I agree, our daughter is a long-eared griffon, therefore she will eat like one.”

And with that the maid was gone leaving Anubis and Silver to watch Eclipse happily finish her daddy’s plate.

“So mommy, why is it wrong for daddy to make loads of siblings for me?”

The little cub watched as her mother struggled to find the right words.

“B-b-because he-we um I am his and he is mine…. And it’s just wrong.”

“That’s right dear.” The griff in question glanced at his grinning cub.

“But you said that daddy isn’t allowed to mount any other hens? But ponies he can? I don’t understand mommy?”

“Okay young lady that’s enough, your mother doesn’t have to explain why. She has every reason to not want me doing such acts with other hens.”

“Huff* I just want to know why….”

“But why?”

“Because mommy, if daddy is a rare type of griffon. Then isn’t it like super important that he has lots of children?”

Silver looked at her mate before hanging her head. “I see…. It’s also hypocritical of me to demand that I’m your only hen Anubis.”

“What? Why dear?”

“I’ll explain later when we’re alone….”

“I don’t like the sound of that…. But enough of that, your mother has the right to make such demands of me as do I…. And I expect that when you grow up, you make the same demands of whoever you choose to marry.”

“i guess that’s the human part of you talking….”

“I heard that.”

“Sorry…. But daddy how do I look for a husband?”

“You use me as your standard, nothing less than me will do.”

“But if you are one of the last floppy ears griffons alive, I’m never gonna get married?!”

“Oh what a shame.”

Eclipse trying to think of a way to flip this around on her dad but she couldn’t, her mother just giggled at the visible frustration on her daughter’s beak.

“That’s not fair!”

“Life’s not fair.”

“Okay enough, Anubis stop teasing her now.”

“Oh look it’s Greta’s back.”

“Here you are my lord, pork ribs.”

“Oh thank you kindly, here you go sweetheart but wait. Daddy tax demand that you give me one rib.”

“What?!? No dad please!”

“Sorry but I must.”

He took one small rib and deboned it before devouring the meat in one gulp.

“Mommy, he stole my food.” She tried to put on the puppy dog eyes but her mother just shook her head.

“Sorry but she’s on my side.”

They finished their meal and Greta took the empty plates and left, with Anubis on his back and Silver laying across him.

Little Eclipse decided to inspect her father's wings, they were magnificent and her curiosity lead her down to his tail feathers.

When she was human, the internet was one of her only means of see the world. But it was a double edged sword for it also meant that she had been exposed to content that she really shouldn’t have been exposed to.

She was still thinking like a human, when she needed to think like a griffon but that was easier said than done.

It also helps that when she was human, she found mythical creatures hot but she’d never admit that.

But now that she thought about it really hard, her own body doesn’t make sense. If she was born this year, then she should be incapable of speaking, right?

“Daddy?” She began to walk up his tail.

“Yes?”

“I have a question about my body?”

“Go on ASSSSSKKK!!!! Ouch fuuuuck….”

“Ep whoops daddy, I’m so so sorry!!”

“Ooh Anubis are you okay?”

“Yeah.” His strained voice didn’t convince Eclipse or Silver. “Let me just turn off the pain receptors,”

“Sorry daddy, is it okay?”

“Yeah I’m fine….”

The large griff curled up into the Fetal position cupping his family jewels.

“Anubis dear, can I have a look please?”

“Fuck no, I can heal but it’s a pretty bad cut honey, you don’t want to see.”

“Oh okay Nubie, do you need anything?”

“N-no….”

“Sorry daddy.”

“You didn’t mean to, just be careful with your claws and what you’re stepping on sweetheart.”

“Yes mom…. Is daddy going to be okay?”

“Yeah, he’s just in pain…. Sniff* sniff* sniff* gulp* wow…. That’s blood, okay Eclipse let’s give your daddy some space now.”

“Um mom? There’s blood on my claws!”

“It okay baby, let’s go and wash it off.”

“B-but daddy is hurt?

“That’s why we’re giving him some space dear, come on.” Silver picked up the shocked cub who had her bloody claw out as far as she could.

Eclipse looked back to her father who was still in pain, she didn't think she’d slip and loose her balance but she did and now she feels awful.

Anubis felt as if his stomach was about to turn inside out and the near endless pain from his balls didn’t help, he pondered how such a small and light thing could do so much damage by accident.

“Anubis honey, are you okay?”

“Y-yeah….”

“Ooh you don’t sound like it.”

“Shut up Silver.”

“Sorry…. D-do you want me to kiss them better?” She let out a little giggle.

“Heheheh…. Nah, the pain is starting to go now but it’s odd that I could still feel the pain after cutting off the pain receptors.”

“Don’t ask me, I don’t know.”

“I know you don’t know. Nebula any leading theories?”

“Nebula?” Silver was visibly confused but then an unsettling digital voice spoke up from Anubis’s luggage.

“Sir, I believe that what you are experiencing is a phenomenon known as phantom pain, I’m surprised you didn’t think of that yourself sir.”

“Mhmmmmm now that I think about it, makes sense.”

A tiny mechanical dragon like thing emerged from his suitcase and Silver jumped back.

“W-what is that?”

“That is Nebula Bloodmoon…. Or a fragment of his soul, I’ve been dabbling in the art of splitting the soul.”

“Why?”

“So that I might find a way to repair the soul, so far there is no known way to repair, fix or heal any major damage to one’s soul but plenty of ways to damage it…. It’s honestly been extremely frustrating for me.”

“But Eclipse?”

“She’s an exception, hell I don’t know if I can make souls but she’s still our daughter. Anyway this is a prototype sentinel core that is a bio-machine that needs blood to sustain itself.”

“Sigh* I have no idea what that is.”

“Sorry dear.” He scratched the back of his neck sheepishly. “It just means that he’s a core that can be placed into a larger bio-mec Exo suit that resembles a pony that needs to drink blood.”

“And what’s bio-thingy vampony?”

“A Bio-mec Exo suit, is similar to the core but very different. It’s a combination of flesh and machine.”

“But why?”

“Sigh* I love you dear but I’m getting tired of explaining myself here, let’s just forget about it for now.”

“So it was Nebula, right?”

“Yes, I am a small fragmented part of the original.”

“Okay so why do you have to drink blood?”

“I don’t know.”

“The reason as to why is because blood provides valuable nutrients and biomass to replenish the dying cells, granted, I have slowed the metabolic rate down considerably to help reduce the amount of blood needed to sustain him.”

“Huff* again I’m lost here?!”

“Well it’s not my fault you’re so bloody dumb.”

“I’m dumb?!”

“Yes! Or do you need me to explain how you’re dumb?”

“Well you might as well you jerk!!!”

“Fine then!! The reason you’re stupid is because I’ve explained how our bodies work! It’s not as if you haven’t been told before, like surely you remember how a simple cell works dear!”

“Well sorry sir! I didn’t mean to forget sniffle* it’s not easy trying to study economics and leadership you know!! Not everycreature is as talented as you…. you ass!!”

Silverfeather was weakly crying, she had broken like an old dam overpowered by the water it blocked.

“Did you just call me a donkey?”

“Sniff* wha? No! Heh why would I call you that?”

A small smile adorned her beak and Anubis wiped away her tears before bringing her into his warm claws.

“I can’t believe you called me a donkey, what will Celestia have to say about this…. And I’m sorry for calling you dumb.”

“Heheheh, wow are you’re actually apologising?”

“Oh shut up you dumb hen.”

“And whose dumb hen am i’s?”

“Mine, smoooch* love you.”

“I love me too.”

Anubis was pleasantly impressed by her stealing his own words.

“Guess you’re can learn.”

“Thanks honey.”

“Mommy, daddy are you two done or do you want some alone time?”

“Eeep! Eclipse!!! Sweetie I um we ahh no, yes! We’re done…. Come on Anubis say something!”

“I don’t know, if I’m reading your body language correctly, this could go either way.”

“Aghhhh shut up!!!”

She began to punch Anubis in the chest as he let out a loud laugh.

Then Eclipse saw the sentinel core and let out a flurry of adorable chirps and ran towards Nebula who tried to get away but failed.

“Aaaaaaahhh!”

“Eeeeeeeeeee it’s a robot dragon!!!! Daddy i want him!!! Can I keep him please?? Please daddy?”

“Mhmmmmm it would be a good opportunity to test him out, so the Sentinel core is all yours for now Eclipse.”

A new objective appeared on Nebula’s system and it was a protection mission, his cybernetic brain processed the data and began identifying potential threats and escape routes.

The rest of the journey was smooth, it mainly consisted of Anubis hiding from any hens that wasn’t his beloved Silver.

There was one incident where little Eclipse have grown a bit too curious for her own good, it was the dead of night and both her parents were completely out cold even though there was a thunderstorm right outside the airship.

She was surprised to find her dad didn’t snore but as to the reason she was up was her own guilt from the accident a few weeks ago. She was going to check if she left any lasting damage to her dad’s undercarriage from where she caught him with her claw.

But she had one issue, she felt really weird about what she was going to do. Anubis was her dad, her biological father but in her mind it was blurred.

She couldn’t fully see him as her dad but she knew he was at the same time. Shaking her head of that thought she got up and sneaked around her mother's peaceful form.

Now she had to get around her dad’s leg which was kicking the air, this wasn’t going to be easy but she came up with a plan, a risky plan.

Eclipse entertained the idea of going back to bed but she knew that she’d be up all night.

So the tiny cub dug her claws into the bed and hung off the edge, crawling under her father’s leg.

Pulling herself back up onto the bed, she ended up getting swept up by Anubis when he rolled over in his sleep.

Her heart froze and she went wide eyed but when her dad settled she took in a deep breath and sighed softly, then the cub was hit by her dad’s scent.

She expected it to be revolting to her but it wasn’t, he smelled good, so she took another breath.

Then she realised what she was doing and her cheeks began to heat up, Eclipse squeezed out from under her dad’s leg and climbed off the bed.

Tiptoeing to the bathroom, she climbed up and looked at herself in the mirror.

“huff* okay now Ra-I mean Eclipse. He is your dad, get your mind out of the gutter, he is your flesh and blood father.”

She looked herself up and down and began to tell herself that she is his daughter mentally but it didn’t help.

“Huff* what is wrong with me….”

After washing her beak, Eclipse went back to the bed but she noticed that her dad was gone. Then she saw green eyes staring back at her from the corner of the room.

A flash of lightning illuminated the room briefly and Eclipse thought she saw a grinning monster that had tendrils sprouting from its back and on the end of each wormy appendage was sharp scythe like blades that were as white as snow. This only enhanced the rotten red flesh of the tendrils.

CRACK!!!*

“Aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!”

Its psychotic grin with hundreds of Sharpened razor blades was burned into her mind and she ran back into the bathroom, slamming the door and locking herself in.

Immediately the bathroom door was ripped off its hinges and Eclipse curled up in the bathtub crying.

“Eclipse! Sweetie are you okay?!”

“D-Daddy!!! Save me!!! There’s a monster!!!”

“Where sweetie? Where? I’ve got you, it’s okay baby, daddy’s got you.”

“Sniffle* daddy…. Sniffle* it was so scary.”

“Was it, please tell me exactly what happened.”

She wiped her tears of fear and nodded weakly.

“Okay let’s get a midnight snack.”

Just as they were about to leave the bathroom, Silver bursted in and crashed into Anubis.

“ Squawk* Eclipse!!!! Are you okay…. Oh thank goodness Anubis what happened?”

“She says she saw a monster dear, I think we should have the guards search the room. We’re going to make some hot chocolate, care to join us honey?”

Silverfeather went to leave but she called back. “Yes but I’ll get the guards first!”

“Good. Now let’s hear about this horrible monster Eclipse.”

The family of griffons sat in the ship’s canteen and waited for their daughter to settle her nerves but they didn’t know if she was going to calm down.

She could barely hold the mug of hot chocolate, Eclipse was still terrified and didn’t want to go back to sleep in fear of it getting her whilst she slumbers.

“Okay now, let’s just get her to bed, I’m sure there’s another room we can take dear. I’ll stay up and keep watch.”

“Okay sweetie but if you get tired, wake me and I’ll keep you company.”

Upon hearing Eclipse went into a panic but Anubis sprung into action and poked her with his claw, releasing a sleep agent into her blood stream.

Rendering her unconscious and he took her into his forelegs.

“So Anubis, tell me about this monster.”

“Sigh* Zodiac was just borrowing my body, it seems Eclipse went to the bathroom. She saw me with green eyes which probably made her imagination run wild, that and the thunderstorm outside didn’t help.”

“Poor thing…. But please stop letting Zodiacrdanals take control of you Anubis, it’s not right.”

“Why? Zodiac is trust worthy my dear.”

“Yeah sure, look clearly he scared our daughter half to death.”

Anubis winced and looked into his mate’s eyes, before letting them go green.

“Mortal, I apologise for scaring her but I assure you I’m the only thing keeping your mate somewhat sane…. She saw a little too much but I didn’t mean to scare her.” His eyes returned back to Anubis’s blood red and before the griff could react.

Silverfeather smacked him.

Smack!*

“Stop doing that, I don’t want to talk with Zodiacrdanals.”

“Sorry but our souls are one dear, get over it because there is nothing I can do to separate them.”

“Sigh* I just worry about you Anubis, me and Celestia can’t loose you.”

He hissed out in a sharp tone which took Silver by surprise. “And you won’t, I’ll admit I’m not sane by any means and I might have a slight megalomaniac complex but Zodiac isn’t a problem.”

“Huff* well fix those stupid little issues because one day Celestia will find out about the killings and what then?”

“Sigh* she won’t, I won’t let her Silver…. Plus I don’t think she could bring herself to live without me.”

“Don’t assume, she live just fine before you.”

“But could she live without me now? I’d imagine right now she’s struggling with separation anxiety at this moment.”

“That’s fucking evil Anubis.”

“Sure and yet you and Celestia were both still interested in me, why?”

“How am I supposed to know?”

“Oh but you do, you told me why I’m attractive.”

Silver thought for a second and then all the pieces fell together, Anubis has always been what they need, she liked him because he wasn’t just hot. No was spontaneous and dangerous. She liked the security to be herself and his ability to help her at the same time.

“A-Anubis…. This is the real you?” Her voice was shaky from the fear of hearing his response.

The larger griff opened his beak with no hesitation and spoke softly. “Yes, what you have seen is the true me dear. I kill, create, experiment and love you and Celestia with all my heart that is the truth but that is because deep down inside. You two knew I was nothing more than damaged goods and yet you both gave me something I can only imagine as a chemical concept. Love.”

“What?”

“I-I don’t know how to love, so I use your biometrics to tell me if I’m doing something right. You fell in love with a monster…. And that big monster fell for you and Celestia.”

“Nubie, that’s the most vulnerable and beautiful but fucked up thing you’ve ever said.”

“That is my specialty….”

“Well now that I know…. It doesn’t make any difference to me and it won’t to Celestia either, she saw you kill and I’m sure she’ll understand to a degree. Just let us help you, we could help you to stop killing?”

Anubis’s next words stabbed into Silver’s heart.

“Why?”

“B-because it’s wrong?”

“And that’s where we think differently, because is it really wrong.”

“Sigh* I’m not having this conversation with you right now, let’s just go to bed.”

“You go to bed, I’ll stay up.”

“Why? We know there isn’t a monster?”

“Because if Eclipse wakes up and I’m asleep, she’ll feel betrayed.”

“Fine then, good night honey.”

“Sweet dreams my love.”

Silver felt frustrated but also sorry, she couldn’t believe that Anubis couldn’t understand what love felt like. He can’t feel such a magical thing and that was horrible for her to imagine.

She mumbled to herself as she walked into the spare bedroom. “you’re still my psychotic gentlegriff….”

“Sorry dear, what was that?”

“I’d rather have you in bed with me.”

“Well apologies but you’ll just have to snuggle with Eclipse.”

“Huff* but there is no threat….”

“I know but like a mention before, if.” He was cut off by a kiss.

“If Eclipse wakes up and you’re asleep, she will feel betrayed. I know.”
