Chapters It was a peaceful day in the quaint town of Ponyville. I looked out on the balcony of the temporary housing unit I was staying in and sighed.
Crazy that only a week and a half ago I was in Canterlot being questioned for my sudden appearance through some sort of weird non-destructive explosion.
I gotta say , It was particularly difficult explaining to the royalty and the nobles of Equestria that I was from a completely different realm and I was a completely different species before ending up there.
Yes, you heard that right. Now I'm not exactly sure what kind of sorcery it happened through, but when I was thrown into this world head-first , I had to get not only used to a new place, but a new body.
I must have been the laughing stock of literally everywhere in Canterlot and Ponyville because I literally couldn't figure out how to do anything for the first few days. Hooves and being 4-legged were the least of my problems, I had to learn how to eat properly, do my business properly , and even all the while having to pick up a job to sustain myself in the meantime.
The only being I recall being empathetic and curious towards me was the ruler (Princess Celestia)’s younger sister, Princess Luna.
When I stayed in Canterlot those first few days I was very lost , I didn't know how to answer a majority of their questions and I felt completely out of place, probably because I was for the most part. Princess Luna, However, surprisingly took it upon herself to help me with adjusting even the slightest to the lifestyle and normality's of this strange new world.
Her voice was very stoic-like , sometimes it sounded like she was speaking in a Victorian-sounding Dialect or she was from medieval England. I decided not to think too much of it .
She gave me books to read , she lectured me multiple times on different things about Equestria , such as its history, which is funny because she lived through a decent portion of it . Yeah, she is old , really old , like older than old , and as she explained to me , it probably didn't help that she was banished to the moon for 1000 years, however that is supposed to work. But this came to my benefit when she told me stories of an Equestria from long ago and how they had to deal with things.
I often was intrigued by our conversations , she had too many tales to tell and enough of a mental backlog of information to fill up multiple large rooms of books.
When I was eventually sent back to Ponyville by the royalty, I definitely started to feel a bit more adjourned with the pony society. I was told to apply to a local store called the “Ponyville corner store” which was ironic because I worked somewhere very similar On earth. The job however was much more laid back. It was almost boring I dare say, but I can't complain. It definitely sustains me enough to be able to at the least afford a comfortable apartment unit until I get sorted out further .
I was also eventually introduced to the 6 ponies that have on the frequent saved Equestria from complete chaos, terror and collapse. Something seemed somewhat familiar about them , But I couldn't seem to think of exactly what it was.
I was kind of thrust into an impromptu friendship with all of these mares , thanks to Pinkie pie’s over-insistence that she throw me a welcome party. I wouldn't have it any other way though.
It was 6:30 PM and the store was closing in 30 minutes. I started to finish up restocking everything and sweeping the floors . Then I heard some gasps coming from the outside and then what sounded to me like a bunch of ponies dropping to the floor. I looked outside the window and saw a bunch of mares and stallions , a few fillies too bowing down as I tried to make out what was happening . Princess Luna was descending down close to the door of the store, and I quickly opened it and stepped outside.
“Princess Luna… lovely to see you, Do you need something from me?” I calmly said, trying to keep some sort of professionalism.
“ I think we are far past that point my subject, you can just call me Luna” she said with a kind smile and a bit of nervousness on her face
“O.. okay your highness” I said still confused as what was happening
She left out a soft chuckle and directed me to go inside and sit down at a table , I quickly turned the open sign over to make sure no one else would come in
“So what was it that you wanted to talk about ?” I asked curiously
“Oh, not much, I just wanted to see how you were doing and what you have been up to” she said
“Yes, I definitely do understand the feeling , when something gets too repetitive its almost depressing. Being royalty isn't all being posh and fancy you know.” she says in a more direct manner, definitely trying to relate to me
“Oh I'm sure that's very true, not surprising , being a princess doesn't seem like it necessarily calls out “Fun! In the job title” I say a little more casually
“You are very right” she says with more of a surprised look
We sort-of just unintentionally stared at each other for what felt like a few minutes
“That doesn't seem like that’s all you had to say , doesn't it ?”
Luna stared down for a second and looked back up at me
“No, Anon, actually I meant to ask you…”
She hesitated for a moment then sighed
“The Grand galloping Gala is coming up , my sister told me I could invite anypony I wished and I guess… I could only really think of you as an option. Would you like to attend and be with me for the night?” she said holding in a small but noticeable blush
“Of course I would, just give me the time and place and I will be there” I said smiling at her
Dear Mr.Anon
The Gala will be taking place this December 10th at the main halls of the Canterlot castle. We hope to see you there .
As soon as I looked up from the parchment , I noticed that Luna has departed and is raising the moon for the beginning of the nighttime .
Still trying the process the situation in my head. I yawned and entered the store one last time to turn off all the lights and locked the door behind me. I finally thought to myself “Well, guess I'm someone's special guest now”

Why are you even surprised.
It was maybe a day or two after I got the invitation to the gala . I noticed that all of my friends were holding similar pieces of parchment, they noticed me from across the town center and all 6 of them trotted over and started talking to me.
“We’re sorry,Anon , If it would've been possible we would have gotten you a invitation as well, but the committee ensured us that all of the spots were already filled” Twilight said with a slightly sad face
“Oh! You don't have to worry about that , I will be attending the gala anyways” I said holding out the piece of parchment I received.
“That’s Amazing!” all 6 of them exclaimed , but then the curiosity set in
They read it further and asked “Why have you been requested to tag-along with Princess Luna?”
“Anon, I don't know why you would even be surprised at this , considering the way she talks about you in the castle” she said with a giggle
Everyone including me looked at her in shock as she explained further
“Ever since you got here and I have visited the castle, she frequently brings you up in conversation , it's like she is obsessed with you and cant admit it to herself” “She is also definitely in a much better mood than before, which is a plus if you ask me” Twilight finished off as everyone looked at me and I paused
“Im not exactly sure at what you are getting, Twilight” I said with a confused look
she giggled again "I wouldn't think too much of it Anon, just be respectful to her and show her a good time "
“Yeah, That shouldn't be too hard considering she's a princess" I sarcastically said while I rolled my eyes
“Sweetheart, I'm sure you will find a way through it, and I'm sure she would appreciate it if you show her the same compassion that she showed you” Rarity added
“Yeah I guess Ill take into account what Twilight said and not think about it too much”
"Good Plan" they all said in syncrosin as they all trotted away

It was finally December and it was time to get in serious business, I had to pick up my order of fancy attire for the event from Rarity. I helped Applejack prepare her goods for the stand she was setting up, all that was left was just to wait for the day to finally arrive. And it did , faster than I thought. I was planning on just departing Ponyville via train with my friends, until I looked up into the sky and saw an open hatch carriage that was decorated with art of different stars and constellations. I then direct My attention to the mare that was inside the carriage , it was Luna… I stood there in awe for a second until I regained my senses and cracked a smile.
“Hello Anon!” she spoke out as the carriage descended onto the ground and the stallions carrying it regained their footing .
I waved to her as she stepped out and she greeted me with a gentle hoof wrap around my neck, I obligatorily bowed down and she giggled a bit.
“Care to take a ride with me back to Canterlot?” She asked
She steps back into the carriage and directs me to go inside as well. As we start the ascent , I notice my friends waving me goodbye while all trying to hold in their giggles, I smile and wave back as I direct my attention to the mare that is right across from me.
Her dress perfectly parallels her mane and fur colors, it is almost just as ethereal with its different shades of purple , and it perfectly matches her greenish-blue eyes as well. I sit there In silent awe .
we both sit in silence for a few minutes until Luna decides to break it
“You look very handsome today, Anon” She says in a more casual manner
“And you look very very beautiful ,Luna, I am glad I am getting to spend the Gala with you this evening” I say trying not to show how confused I was and awkward I felt at the moment
She perks up at this remark, then calms down then smiles
“I wouldn't want it any other way” she says while looking you straight in the eyes with a deep hearty expression
The carriage Descends onto an amazingly lit Canterlot , where you are both dropped off on a balcony of the castle . Its almost humorous, you can legitimately hear from down the hall the rush the ponies are making into finishing off the last few details of the event planning.
You and Luna look at each other and both smile,
This is gonna be the best night ever .

At the Gala- The Best Night Ever
As we both enter the main hall , we are quickly rushed into a whim of things that are happening, ponies are scrambling around talking to one another , Luna for the most part ignores any attempt from another pony to interact with her besides myself and of course her sister. We are both directed to the throne room where Luna walks up to her place in the front and signals for me to stand next to her . Apparently , every gala there is a part of it that lets ponies from everywhere and any background sort-of have a short lasting audience with the Princesses. I look over and see that Celestia's line expands past the castle doors, meanwhile Luna’s consists of no more than 15.
I noticed Luna’s sad expression when she realized how long her line was. I at first thought it would be necessary to try to comfort her , but then I had another plan that would cheer her up.
Once she was done with her line, I tapped her on her shoulder and she turned and smiled
I held out my hoof and asked “Would you like to dance with me ,Luna?”
This obviously did the trick, as she happily placed her hoof in mine and we both trotted down to the dance hall.
When we got to the center , Everypony looked amazed and stopped dancing , until I said “Nopony said the dance was over , Keep it up!” Then the dancing continued as I took Luna’s hoof and started to dance the night away.
She looked at me with the biggest smile I have ever received from her, you started to get real groovy, trying to stray away from more of the classical movement , as the song got more intense and “fun” I twirled her around and caught her on her back, she was giggling and squirming so hard in my hooves at that moment I almost forgot she was a princess and saw her as more of just a girl that wanted to be loved and… danced with.
As the night went on , Luna and I got more and more tired and worn out, until after Everypony left, She was almost clinging to my side and she tiredly said “Thank you, I needed that…”
Unexpectedly and suddenly , She started to stumble. I asked if she was okay , but it was too late. The Alicorn princess fell onto my back , being lucky I was an earth pony and I could take a decent amount of weight , I adjusted her more comfortably onto myself and carried her until I saw a guard
He stood there shocked while he looked at me and the sleeping princess on my back
“Mr.Anon, we can take it from here if its too much trouble” the guard said in a worried voice
“Oh thats fine, just lead the way please” I said confidently
The guard led me down the halls and stairs , my back being strained more and more every step I took.
We finally reached Luna’s chambers where the guard unlocked it and I trotted inside
Her room was big, like insanely big . It was essentially a large atrium , it included a large bed , a study, loads of themed storage and knick-knacks and a huge vanity
I got over to the bed and plopped Luna on her bed fit for a princess, I gently tucked her in and folded her dress as neatly as I could considering I didn't really know proper Equestrian Laundry etiquette. I placed it on a fitting shelf that was lined with other dresses for other occasions.
I looked around once more to see if there was anything I missed , then I, what at least thought , quietly tried to depart the room when I heard a soft voice
“A… Anon?”
I paused for a second and trotted back to Luna
She was still trying to wake up and she was staring right at me
“Yes , Luna? What can I do for you?” I asked with a sweet tone
“You don't have to leave, you know… You can stay…” she muttered with tears starting to form in her tired eyes
“Oh Luna, I wouldn't want to bother you, besides, I'm not royalty and I should probably get going” I said trying to show some restraint
“Well… maybe tonight you can be my prince,” She said with a deep ,sweet feminine voice .
After realizing what she said , I started getting really nervous all of a sudden
She realized this and said “Anon, relax for me , you can take off your attire and place it next to mine”
I obeyed her almost instantaneously , I slipped out of my dress wear and then stood there
She scooted over a slight bit to make room for someone , that someone was me
She gestured for you to come over to her and she said “Get in here , my handsome stallion”
Again, I didn't dare disobey her orders at this point. so I slipped into the covers with the princess lying next to me.
I don't know if it's just her, or all mares, but she had an aroma that was unique to her sleep. It actually heavily reminded me of this amazing-smelling spray I used on my pillow and sheets back home that helped me sleep much better.
As I got more comfortable she faced herself in my direction and I got to take a look into her deep, beautiful eyes
She however, started to talk to me softly
“Anon, I'm not sure how aware of it you already are, but I want to be completely and utterly honest with you…
Over the past thousands of years I have been in this world, I have accomplished and failed to do many things , I aided my sister against many foes, we ruled together for a long time , then I betrayed my sister and got sent away for a very very long time
I was always angry at myself for not being able to be as much of a role model as my sister, and I always felt like I was just the deadweight in the room…
That was until you came along, The whole reason I was focused on you in particular was because I felt like you were something I could put time and effort into, but it's just as much you as it was me,
You talked to me, we had many conversations, you were patient with me when I didn't understand something , and you gave me enough motivation to want to continue with my royal duties despite my lack of external popularity
A good example was today when we were dancing , you… made me feel like I was more than just a princess… you made me feel like a mare that needed love just like anypony else
I, in all of my years of living, haven't ever been emotionally capable of showing love towards somepony , that was , until I didn't need to show it , I needed it to be shown to me.
Anon… ?”
“Yes, My Princess” I said carefully
“I love you so much, and I honestly for the love of Pete cannot get over you, I can't get you off my mind, your what drives me to love and cherish my little ponies of Equestria” Luna cried out, Pulling me into a deep hug
We stayed like this for a while until I broke the barrier
“I love you too, Luna, I Always will” I said next to her ears
She smiled and nestled her neck into mine.
No matter what happens next, this night is definitely going to be put in a history book in a library somewhere.
I wouldn't have it any other way.

That's it for the first major Arc! I know it wasnt action packed or "Adventurous" in these segments , but rest assured as the story goes further I hope to establish more of those into the plotline.
