A Bronies Adventures in Equestria
Story written, edited, created by: Sciencejim1
My name is James Hazdra and I am a brony. It has been my life long dream to have an opportunity like this, but I never thought it possible. Who would have thought, me, a lonely, eighteen year old, overweight, half mental pacifist would ever be able to visit Equestria? Certainly not me, but if it weren't for those assholes on the street that picked up and hurled the neighbors newspaper at my head, I would have never seen the add. The add that stated that they were looking for human test subjects between the age of twelve and twenty-seven who specifically had a fascination for the show named "My Little Pony".
It was as if my mind had split in two in excitement. What should I do? Should I ignore this call to action like my mind says to? Or should I go against my better judgement and let the truly loyal brony out?
It is kind of obvious on what option I chose, isn't it?
So, with nothing else to do after school, I head straight to the laboratory. Didn't look anything special from the outside, could have easily mistook it for a law office. So I walk in and the first thing I see is dozens of employees running around with papers, clipboards, and pieces and parts of machine parts I couldn't have dreamed of. After about five minutes of trying to gain attention from somebody, a balding, old man with large spectacles comes towards me and addresses me.
"Are you here for the add? You certainly look the part." He says.
I simply nod, "What exactly is expected of me here? What am I suppose to do? And what exactly does any of it have to do with ponies?"
"Well," he began "what we do here is look into different parts of this and other worlds. And so far, we have yet to find anything...until now that is."
Why he felt the dramatic spaces were necessary I do not know, but I humored him regardless.
"So we discovered a world not far from our solar system, but some how it has gone unnoticed. Almost as if it had just appeared into space. We looked further into this and found that this planet not only honed suitable conditions for life but actually found life forms on the planet. Strangely enough, these life forms represented many of the mammals on our planet, we notice similar traits as to horses, rabbits, birds varying sizes, and other organisms that we couldn't even recognize."
"So you traced the animals from which you saw and slowly noticed wings and horns and either you studied this and found on the internet that there was a show that had all of these animals fit the description of the animals found on the planet along with the geography of the planet, or either you or one of your co-workers are as well a brony and noticed the similarities between the show and the planet?" I questioned.
"Erm...yes, yes exactly. So, before we have even discovered this marvel, we designed a way to send someones mind, in a way, past the boundaries of Earth. It is a machine we have not tested yet but it seems to be built correctly. If you would be willing, we could not only use you to test the machine, but as well as send the first brony into Equestria."
My mouth hung loosely. I had no idea how to respond, this was after all a bronies dream to be sent to Equestria. But to leave everything behind in doing so? When will I come back? Will I actually come back? Will I be able to interact with other ponies? So many mental questions were running through my mind. Once again my eyes glazed over, allowing me to space out and think about the situation. I was, however, cut short my that aggravating hand that found its way into my mind and coaxed me back into reality yet again.
"Herm... huh, what?" I mumbled.
"Are you okay son?" He asked with a worried expression.
My first thought was to retaliate with a lecture on how everyone should know not to put their hands in someones face, for it was extremely rude, but I decided against it. After all, he was sending me to Equestria.
"Yes." I answered while wearing an over excited smile.
"Forgive me, but yes what?" He questioned.
"Oh, sorry. Yes, I agree to testing this machine." My excitement was quickly rising even more with every word I spoke.
"Oh wonderful! Please come this way." He requested as he led me over to a chair like contraption. It had wires connected to it all over and had a turquoise colored slime like substance. Then he gestured for me to sit down in it.
I reluctantly walked over and slowly sat down in the seat. It was cold, but not wet, it was a solid gel.
He saw the expression on my face. "That gel padding is to relax the 'dreamer' and that will make it easier for us to control where your mind travels to."
I honestly couldn't care less, as long as we could carry on with the project.
He attached nodes to my head and cuffs with an exceeding amount of wires to my wrists. He proceeded to flick a switch and everything looked...strange. My vision suddenly blurred and then stretched and slowly but surely my eyes started to contract until my pupils were extremely small, pin sized specks within the center of my iris.
He could see I was in pain. "You know, if you close your eyes and try to sleep, you would be in much less pain and you could sooner be in Equestria." He informed me. I had not thought about that at all, immediately it made sense to me and I complied.
Once I closed my eyes it was as if I were flying through my own mind. Every time my eyes moved I saw a new image implanted within my mind.
It was then I felt faint and blacked out...
I woke up feeling awful and somewhat refreshed. There was a sweet scent in the mid afternoon breeze.
Is it mid afternoon? Where am I? Did I make it? Did the machine work? The questions were overwhelming my mind and I forced my eyes open.
I was overcome by bright, dazzling colors that I have never seen in nature before, they were visually stunning. There were smells that wafted the air. It was then I knew.
"Dear god! I've made it! I am in Equestria!" I exclaimed in excitement.

What am I to do? Where am I going to go? Should I try to contact one of the three princesses? Should I find the main six?
Their are so many things that can be done, what should be done first? Well first priority is to figure where exactly I am in Equestria.
"Is anyone out here?" I request loudly.
Birds chirp and flee from the scene. The show is beautiful, but in real life, it is truly amazing. I slowly make my way out of the small wood I awoke from and find myself near a clearing with a road running through it.
It seemed pretty void of life but far off I can make out large structures. That must be Ponyville, I hope. I make my way down the road and start to see more detail with each building. I first saw the Clock Tower and then everything came into view. I could see Carousel Boutique, Golden Oaks Library, Sugarcube Corner, and town hall.
Where am I to go first? I asked myself. I noticed that Sugarcube Corner was nearest and it would make sense to visit the most hyperactive pony of Ponyville first, as to avoid any awkward meetings in the future. I made my way over the bridge into the town where I immediately saw my first pony. If my memory serves me correctly, I believe that would be Miss Cheerilee.
Do I go say hello to her? My mind raced processing the fact that I am seeing my first pony. At least I know I am, for sure, here in Ponyville. I don't really have anything to lose in trying to talk to someo- er somepony . So I walk up to her as she is admiring some daisies in a stand. Before I reach her however, I notice that with each step I take, I emit a sharp 'clop'.
Without taking notice before, I quickly run over to a stream to look at my reflection. I was simply baffled. I had lime green skin, a separately shaded blond mane and tail. and sparkling brown eyes. And to top it all of, I had a unicorns horn protruding from my forehead. This horn, however was not an average sized horn, it was somewhat longer and as bit sharper than those I see on Twilight Sparkle or Rarity. Then again, I am not an average sized pony either, I seem to have a similar poise as Princess Celestia. Of course, more masculine, but the same height and structure. Out of curiosity, I looked to see what my cutie mark was and I found on my flank, my YouTube profile picture. This was baffling as ever, for how did that scientist at the lab know that these were my favorite colors and that I had a logo for my gamer channel?
As curious as this was, I still wanted to talk to somepony, so I trotted back over to Cheerilee.
"Oh, hello there sir. Your a new face here aren't you?" She asked looking me over.
"Yes I am actually. Is it that obvious?"
"Well, you are kinda strange looking...if that's not too insulting."
"Not at all, I was worried myself."
"Worried? Are you okay?"
"Oh, yeah I'm fine. Not exactly sure what happened to me, earlier today, I just found myself in a wooded area and made my way to Ponyville. Must have been knocked out by something." I did not tell her my real story due to the fact that I am positive I will get a reaction I do not want.
"That's just awful! Do you need to go to the hospital? Are you hurt?"
"No, no please. I'm fine. I just wanted to know the date and time. And if your not busy, could I come to your class after school and learn a little about Equestria? My knowledge on any matter of history or the use of magic and the anatomy of pegasi have been lost due to...well...who knows what."
"Of course, may I know your name?"
"Oh..." This had not occurred to me, what is my name? Should it be my actual name or should I try to make up one?
"Um...again, are you okay?"
"Yeah, sorry." Screw it, my real name it is. After all, what harm could that do? "My name is James Hazdra, most call me James, Jim, or Sciencejim...actually, a lot of people have been calling me science for whatever reason."
"Hmm, that doesn't sound like a normal ponies name? Where exactly are you from?"
"I...I'm not sure. I must be suffering from a mild case of amnesia. I hope it clears up soon. Er-well, thank you Miss Cheerilee. I will see you another day I guess."
"Sure thing James. Forgive me for asking, but are you going to need any assistance from anypony before you get where your going to? I'm just not used to somepony being so self dependent."
A smell entered my senses, it was sweet and somewhat sour, with a strange smell mixed with it I couldn't even describe. Is...is she in heat? She must be! She is shielding her pelvis away from my vision. It was mostly flattering but in a way, humorous. "No Cheerilee, I am fine, thank you. But if you need any assistance, feel free to seek me, I have enough free time on my hands for anyone, especially for my teacher."
"Thanks for the offer James, I might take you up on that. Oh, and by the way, it's Sunday, 3:00 in the afternoon. Have a good day!" She said with that heartwarming smile that everypony gives off. It took every ounce of will in my body to remain in control and not attack her with hugs. But now that I think about it, their is no harm in asking for one.
"Um, Miss Cheerilee?" I called.
"Yes James?" She answered with a surprising amount of eagerness.
"I wasn't sure if this would be inappropriate to ask but could I possibly have a hug?" I waited with clenched eyes preparing myself for a possible blow to the head or smack across my muzzle. Instead, she rushed forward with surprising swiftness and embraced me around my neck. I returned the embrace and for the first time I felt a ponies soft, sweet fur. It was heavenly, and she smelled so sweet and fruity. I didn't want to let go but instinct and her resistance told me to do so.
"Thank you Cheerilee. I feel much happier now that I've gotten that out of my system. I've been so stressed lately...I believe."
She put a hoof on my shoulder. "Take care James, see you another day. And please, be safe." And with that she turned and walked away towards her home I assume. She gives so much care and kindness, it's almost impossible to believe she has no special somepony.
I continued my trek toward Sugarcube Corner now knowing I have plenty of time to see Pinky. I was in no hurry. I was too busy enjoying every sight, taking in every smell, taste, and sound. waving at every pony I came across. It was pure bliss, I couldn't be any happier. I walked up on the entrance to Sugarcube Corner and peered inside. There she stood looking as pink as ever.
I couldn't control myself for whatever reason, my muscles acted as my heart commanded them. I bounded through the door right to the counter. The smells were intoxicating, or maybe that was Pinkie. Before she had the chance to even look up or speak to me I pounced. I flew right over the counter and held her in a forceful embrace too excited to see reason or see what I had done was rude.
She slowly regained herself and, thankfully, her breath. "Well hi there stranger! Do you mind getting off me so I can see you?"
I complied getting off of her, but that didn't cease my level of excitement.
"You...it's you! I've wanted to meet you since the first time I saw you but I thought it impossible. But I'm here before you!
I got to hug you and I'm talking with you right now! This is so cool, I just can't believe it! Your amazing Pinkie, the way you find a way to cheer everyone up even when they might have had the worst day ever. You and your songs that can magically make everypony join in. The way you can laugh at the scary and how cute you act when your really excited. You are so awesome!"
"Aw, thanks stranger! I don't know who you are but maybe we could talk instead of just you doing all of the talking?"
"Oh, I'm sorry Pinkie. It's just you are one of the most amazing ponies here and like I said before, I've always wanted to meet you. My name is James Hazdra, you can call me James, Jim, Science, Sciencejim...heck you can call me whatever you like, I don't even care! All that matters is that I've finally met you!" And with that I ran up and gave her another hug.
" Well *giggle* it's so nice to meet you too James" And she returned my hug, she smelled of cotton candy and was just as soft as it too. She was so warm and soft, it was hard to let her go even more than Cheerilee. Fortunately, she didn't let go for some time either. When we broke apart the only thing we could do is smile at each other. I couldn't tell you how big the smile I wore was, but it was so big it felt like my face ripped in two, but at this point I didn't care. She was the first to break the supposedly awkward silence.
"So James, do you want to talk? You definitely look different from any pony I've ever seen, and I'm pretty sure I've met them all."
"Yes I am, but if I told you where I am really from, you wouldn't believe me."
"Is that right?" She challenged.
"Do you really want to know?"
"Yes! It's not every day somepony walks through the store door and jumps on me just to give me a hug because they know all about me. I want to know because what kind of friend am I if I don't know anything about you?"
"A strange one I'm sure..." I wasn't sure how to go about telling her. But I might as well tell her the full truth.
I spent a good amount of time telling her of my past life and how I came to Equestria. She just sits there with a awestruck expression.
"Well, I don't expect you to believe me. But it would be much appreciated." I say uneasily.
"I...I don't know what to say besides that...that was the most elaborate and amazing story I've ever heard!"
"So you do believe me?"
"Of course!"
"He he, well that's a relief." I say picking up yet another cookie from the plate she laid out.
"I do find it weird that I am being watched over buy millions of alien people but as long as I make people happy, I don't mind as much." She said with one of those smiles again.
"I don't think people are watching you guys throughout your whole lives, just the interesting parts. Honestly I would find you interesting every second of the day."
"Stop flattering me, James." She blushed an even darker pink.
"So what was it like to get your cutie mark?" I say, attempting to change the subject.
"It was the best feeling in the world James, I can't even think of an example for you...it's just..." She started to stare off into space. This actually gave me a chance to examine her features without coming across as creepy. I looked into her eyes, those big, shiny, silvery blue eyes. I felt a shiver run down my spine. I focused on her mane, on every strand of hair. Pretty soon, I was lost in thought, thinking of petting that mane, making swirly gestures withing the furs grain of her back and sides slowly running down her side making long strokes across her breast and stomach, running all the way down to her-
"James? Why are you staring at me like that?"
"Huh? Oh sorry, just...thinking."
"Well I've really enjoyed talking with you and hopefully we can hang out again, get together with the girls."
I know it's a pretty over used meme but instantly the thought ran through my mind of Rainbow Dash exclaiming 'It's going to be so awesome!' "Yeah, I'm looking forward to it. Bye Pinkie." I close with a hug, once again.
This is definitely a change for me. I, the first brony ever, just met one of the main six, and I even got to hug her!

Chapter 2: Uncontrollable Actions
As I take my leave, I am barred by Pinky with the promise of a snack for later. I, being hungry already, patiently wait and start to examine the room. It was literally filled with all kinds of baked goods, among other things. How does she resist snacking on all these every day?
She comes back out with a bag of who knows what and places them on my back. "There you are, enjoy!" She turns away and quickly comes back to squint at my side. "Wow James, those are pretty realistic, did someone draw them on for you?"
What was she talking about? "Draw what on for me.?"
"Um..." She quickly bursts from the room in a flurry of pink and comes back immediately with a mirror in her hoof. She positions it so I can see and sure enough, there was a thin outline in the shape of a wing. I was unsure what to say.
Is someone pulling a prank on me? I give Pinkie a questioning look.
"Are you an alicorn?" She asked, bemused.
"I guess I am..." Then it hit me. "...wait, I'm an alicorn? I'm an alicorn!" Once again my excitement started to dramatically escalate, and once again I ran to Pinkie and hugged her. I bolted outside, all the while trying to get my wings to move. I slowly started to get the feel of them, every inch of muscle built up in these weak appendages, the skeletal structure of the wings as they flexed. I tried to flap them or at least rotate them and all I ended up doing was slapping my side. At least I'm starting to get the hang of it.
"Hey, do you need any help with that? Is your wing broken or something?" Inquired a familiar voice.
"Rainbow?" I questioned myself as I turned around to face my inquisitor. "Rainbow Dash, is that you?" She shadowed over my figure as she came down from the cloud she was using as her portable resting place.
"Yeah, what's it to uh...are those wings...and a horn? Your an alicorn?" She asked in disbelief. She then took a defensive stance. I attempted to tell her everything I knew about the situation but before I could even start, I was tackled to the ground by Rainbow Dash and was held there as she interrogated me. "Tell me who you are now!"
I strained to conceal my fear as I spoke. " I...um..."
"Are you a changeling? If your a changeling I'm..." She lifted her fore legs, preparing to stomp on my person.
"No! Wait, don't hurt me Dash! I'm not a changeling!"
She stopped but my body reacted before she even touched the ground. My wings flexed and threw her away from me as my body was lifted in a diagonal position from the ground, all the while being supported by my stiff appendages.
"Oh god! Dashie I'm so sorry, did I hurt you?" I checked her over as I talked to her, trying to make out even the slightest abrasion on her cyan skin.
"I'm fine! Now please get out of my face." She said, slightly irritated.
"Sorry, here." I offered my hoof.
"So, who are you then? And what are you exactly since your not a changeling?"
I then told her my story.
"Wow, that's quite a story guy...kinda makes sense on why you were having a tough time flying. All pegasi have real easy, even on their first time." She said, reflecting to herself on what she just heard.
"Yeah...sorry for knocking you down Dashie, I really do need to get the hang of this flying technique."
"Well, first step to flying properly you gotta--"
"Wait! So you will teach me how to fly?"
"Duh! What kind of pegasus would I be if I let another not know of the amazement I get to experience every day?"
"Ohmygod Dash! That's so awesome of you!" I say, running up to her and locking her in a tight embrace.
"Ah! James leggo! I can't breathe!"
I release her from my supposed death hug. "Wow Dashie, I thought you were tougher than that." I said in my sarcastic, disappointed tone.
"Oh, is that so? You think I'm getting soft? I'll show you you Mr. alleged...alien...thing!" She exclaimed as she rose into the air and plummeted down on top of me. She zoomed just above the ground and slowly ascended into the air with me in her arms. She held me as if I was a burden to her, almost weighing her down. But then relinquished her tight grasp as she slowly transitioned her grip into a hug. She stopped about seventy feet off the ground, holding us suspended, almost attempting to cuddle with me. I returned the hug. Not as strong as the one before, but with a delicate touch that she has never felt before. It felt as if I were hugging a muscular stuffed animal. She was extremely soft and yet I could feel the hard muscle and bone beneath her hide.
She without warning dropped me, showing no emotion as she let me slip from her arms. I sucked in air preparing to yell and call for help, but nothing but a squeak came out as I fell through the air
I closed my eyes, preparing myself for impending doom that was about to come of me, but it never came. Instead, I landed on a soft, wet, cloud that was just below from where she was hovering.
"You didn't think I was actually going to let you fall, did you?" She asked snidely, beginning to laugh.
"No, I didn't. But when you dropped me I wasn't sure what to think."
"You need to have a little more faith in others, you can trust me."
"It's not that I don't trust you Dashie, you just startled me that's all."
"Whatever, let's get on with the flying lesson. Now first, you have to adjust your wings so as to gain control. You don't want to have a wing snap shut because of the winds pressure. Can you move your wings easily?" I wasn't aware she had such a vocabulary, but as long as it had to do with flight, I'm sure she would know.
"Not really, I just slap my side like this." I showed her something similar to my previous attempts.
"No, not like that. Here, try and do this with your wings. Feel the muscle stretch and try to move that muscle." She grabbed my wing and started to move it in a flapping motion. With every touch came a shock of pleasure. I reached out to touch her wing, almost out of instinct. She kept moving and stretching my wing, to busy to notice that I was reaching for her. It was almost out of reach, just barely making contact with a feather.
"Wha-James! What are you doing?" She gasped. Then she looked at me and her wing, then notice how long she had been touching mine. She blushed. "Oh, sorry. I didn't think about how sensitive your wings must be since...well...your new and all."
"I'm sorry Dash, I wasn't even thinking. But may I keep touching them? Your feathers are extremely soft." I asked as I continued rubbing her wing with the tip of my hoof. I did mean what I said, her feathers were truly silken.
"I guess, just not too rough, I just had them preened." She extended her wing so it was within my reach. I took her wing into my hooves and slowly stroked them. Every feather in place, perfectly aligned, and so soft. I could barely make out a hushed moan coming from Rainbow, but I ignored it and continued caressing her wing anyway, making out every dip, every thread in her feathers.
She arched her back and moaned louder, I could tell she was enjoying this but I felt this was getting out of hand. I stopped rubbing her wing and repositioned it to her side. She still held her eyes shut tight but fell against my side.
What the hell did you do this time James? I asked myself. You have never seen Rainbow Dash do this before. Is it possible that I hurt her?
"Rainbow, are you okay?" I asked.
No response.
"Rainbow Dash!" I yelled, pushing back the disturbing thought that I might have seriously hurt her.
She stirred in your hold, mumbling something not intelligible.
I sighed with relief. Thank god, she's just asleep. I had no idea that wings really were that sensitive. It seemed hopeless to try to wake her. I searched for an area to lay her down and barely made out her house in the distance.
I hefted her on my back and carried her, jumping from cloud to cloud, all the way to her home. I nudged the door open and walked in. It looked to be the typical bachelors apartment. Garbage and equipment strewn over the room, dishes(what's left of them) piled up in a heap over the kitchen counter, and what clothes and dresses she does own are hanging limp from her door.
It was then the stench of dirty, sweaty clothes and rotting food attacked my senses. Trying to conceal my gagging, I waded through the waste making my way to what I hoped was her bedroom. Luckily, her bedroom wasn't polluted like her entryway . She stretched out across my back again mumbling softly to herself. She rearranged herself and enclosed her hooves around my neck whilst nibbling on my ear. I walked by her bedroom mirror and couldn't conceal my awe when I saw her expression. She may be one of the most toughest ponies in Ponyville, but she is still so damn cute.
She nuzzled my neck as I attempted to lay her down gently onto her bedspread, but she wouldn't let go. I could not reach her while she was on my back and I wasn't able or going to throw her off. I tried to think over the situation but a sudden drowsiness swept over me and eventually overwhelmed me as I collapsed onto the bed next to the flurry of rainbow colors within my view.
Once again the blurriness clouded my mind...
