After days of walking our heroes finally arrived in Verdanturf Town. Turquoise and aqua were in the middle of training at the Pokemon center. They pitted both of their Vulpix against each other.

“Vulpix use will-O-wisp. Aqua’s Vulpix sent out blue balls of fire.

“Vulpix use icy wind. Turquoise’s vulpix unleashed his Icy wind which stopped the Will-O-wisp. “Now use Aurora beam. Vulpix unleashed her beam but instead of the usual rainbow colored beam it was a whole other move. “That was Ice beam. Unfortunately, the beam proved too powerful for Vulpix to control which pushed Vulpix back.

“Say Turquoise, I have been meaning to ask this since we left Foothill town but your Vulpix evolves with an Ice Stone right and you have one now, so why have you not used it yet?” Aqua asked.

“While having an Alolan Ninetales would be nice, evolution is a choice not a requirement, I can’t force my Vulpix to evolve,” Turquoise said.

“Wow I never thought of it that way?” Aqua said.

“Besides, rushing evolution can be detrimental to a pokemon’s development. For example, Vermillion City's Gym leader Lt.Surge had his Pikachu evolve before it learned any of the speed attacks it can only learn as a Pikachu.

“Evolution aside, let’s get back to our battle,” Aqua said.

“You're right, Vulpix use ice beam again. Vulpix fired another ice beam but this one was not as strong which allowed him to control it.

“Vulpix use extrasensory,” Aqua’s Vulpix took control of the ice beam and sent it back.

“Vulpix use icy wind. Turquoise’s Vulpix unleashed icy wind which not only stopped the ice beam but also buried Aqua’s Vulpix in snow which dealt some damage but not enough to end it.

“We are not out yet, Vulpix use Incinerate. Aqua’s Vulpix tried to unleash Incinerate but instead a stream of fire came out which Turquoise also recognized. “Is that what I think it is?

“Sure is, that was Flamethrower,” Turquoise said, which meant both Vulpix were on the same level. “Vulpix use Extrasensory to send it back. Turquoise’s Vulpix used his Extrasensory to send the flamethrower back which did not affect Aqua’s Vulpix at all thanks to her flash fire ability.

“Alright you two that’s enough battling for now, “Fluttershy said. The two of them stopped and Fluttershy tended to both Vulpix. “So which pokemon are you using for the contest?

“My Vulpix, Now that he knows Ice beam there is a lot we can do,” Turquoise said.

“Can you even win with it without evolving?” Aqua asked.

“Again with this, you know I was going to share my fire stone with you but now I'm not sure you can be trusted with it, “Turquoise said.

“I thought you wanted to win?” Aqua said.

“I do want to win but not at the cost of my Pokémon’s trust, “Turquoise said.

“”But if you don’t evolve Vulpix, you're going to get steamrolled,” Aqua said. Fluttershy was getting tired of this argument and ended it.

“Girls enough,” Fluttershy shouted. “Turquoise is right, pokemon are not tools or objects we can control as we see fit, they are living creatures with free will just like us, if you can’t understand something like that, then you should just release your pokemon and go home.

“Then why has Turquoise been pushing her Pokémon to get stronger halfway through the time it took to get here?” Aqua asked.

“Maybe because they and Turquoise were on the same page when that Steelix wiped us out in one shot,” Fluttershy said.

“So just evolve Vulpix already,” Aqua said.

“For the last time, no I don't want to yet and neither does he,” Turquoise said.

“Fine, then just give me that fire stone and I will have mine evolve,” Aqua said. Suddenly Fluttershy did the unthinkable and grabbed Aqua’s Pokeballs and recalled all three of her pokemon. “What the heck flutters,

“You clearly showed us you don’t care about what your pokemon want so I will keep these for the time being,” Fluttershy said.

“You two are unbelievable,” Aqua said before storming off. Suddenly Fluttershy felt exhausted.

“You don’t think I was being too harsh, do you? “Fluttershy asked.

“Not at all, Aqua needs to learn this lesson, “Turquoise said.

“I hope she will forgive me for doing this,” Fluttershy said.

With Aqua she was walking through town still upset over what happened.

“I can’t believe those two, Turquoise for speaking such nonsense and Fluttershy for confiscating my pokemon as if I was a child, “Aqua said while continuing her walk. She was now in the forest and accidently kicked a rock at a bush which caused a Bee-like creature to come out of the bush with a bump on its head and look angry.

“What is that? “Aqua asked before pulling out her pokedex.

“Beedrill, the poison bee pokemon, Beedrill is extremely territorial. No one should ever approach its nest-this is for their own safety. If angered, they will attack in a furious swarm, “The pokedex said as more beedrill began to gather. Aqua began running like crazy as the beedrill chased her. She instinctively reached for one of her pokeballs only to remember that Fluttershy took them.

“I wish I had my Vulpix right now so I could roast these beedrill with flamethrower, “Aqua shouted. Suddenly a voice was heard.

“Chansey use heal bell, “The voice said as Chansey sang a soothing melody that calmed the beedrill down enough for a man dressed as a pokemon doctor to approach them as the leader’s bump began to heal. “Now return to your nest, Beedrill. The beedrill did so, leaving the two to talk.

“Thanks for saving me, “Aqua said.

“Not a problem, but tell me why are you out here all alone? “The man asked.

“I was just so angry at my friends that I was not paying any attention to where I was going, “Aqua said.

“Why are you angry at them?” The man asked.

“One of them refused to evolve her Alolan Vulpix even though she has the means to do so and the other confiscated my three pokemon,” Aqua said while careful not to drop any names.

“I see,” The man said.

“But anyway, my name is Aqua,” Aqua said.

“Nice to meet you, I’m Brock,” Brock said. “Now tell me what led to this fight you had? Aqua told him the whole story. “Your friends are correct, pokemon are living creatures with wills of their own and ignoring that fact can cause problems.

“Like that is true when my Mudkip and Zigzagoon evolved they did not care,” Aqua said.

“That was because it was their choice, " Brock said. Just as they said that Turquosie came running towards them.

“Aqua, “Turquoise shouted before she stopped in front of them. “There you are, you had us worried.

“Turquoise?” Brock asked.

“Brock? “Turquoise asked.

“You two know each other?” Aqua asked.

“We met in Saffron City, “Turquoise said. “But anyway, have you cooled down enough to understand your lesson?

“I cooled down but I have yet to see what you mean, “Aqua said. Suddenly a trainer from the battle tournament showed up.

“There you are Aqua, I challenge you to a rematch,” Clark said.

“Sorry but I don’t have my pokemon with me at the moment, “Aqua said.

“You do now,” Turquoise said before giving Aqua her pokemon back.

“Now let’s battle,” Clark said. Brock led them to a clearing before agreeing to be the ref. This was a one on one battle.

“Go Marshtomp,” Aqua said as she called out Marshtomp.

“Same pokemon as before, easy, Go Electabuzz,” Clark said as he called out his Electabuzz.

“That's a new one,” Aqua said before using her Pokedex.

“Electabuzz, the electric Pokemon and the evolved form of Elekid, its body constantly discharges electricity. Getting close to it will make your hair stand on end,” Aqua’s Pokedex said.

“Battle begin, “brock said.

“Marshtomp use Mud shot. Marshtomp fired a stream of mud at Electabuzz.

“Electabuzz use Protect. Electabuzz created a barrier that blocked the attack. “Now use brick break. Electabuzz charged at Marshtomp before chopping her which dealt some damage.

“I see you've gotten stronger but so have we,” aqua said. “Marshtomp use Rock Slide. Marshtomp summoned a bunch of rocks which rained down on electabuzz and dealt more damage and then had him fall.

“Get up, get up, “Clark demanded. Electabuzz was trying and barely made it. “Perhaps this may persuade you, clark pulled out a yellow device before tossing it and having it plug into Electabuzz which freak it out.

“What did you do? “Aqua asked.

“That is an Elecirizer, it’s an evolution item for Electabuzz, “Brock said. Suddenly Electabuzz started glowing while freaking out since it never wanted this. It began to grow bigger, completely powerless to stop the Evolution. Soon an Electivire stood where Electabuzz was but something felt off.

“Yes now you're dead, “Electivire use brick break. Electavire looked ready to attack but instead of the move Clark demanded it was a thunder punch and it was used on Clark instead. “Ow what was that for? Suddenly Electavire began freaking out and unleashing Thunder all over the place in blind fury.

“What is going on?” Aqua shouted.

“Electavire did not want to evolve but Clark forced it to so now it is having a meltdown because that jerk robbed it of its free will,” Turquoise said.

“Now do you see the consequences of forcing pokemon to evolve when they don’t want to? “Brock asked as Electivire unleashed thunder in blind fury.

“Ok you made your point, so how do we stop Electivire from rampaging?” Aqua asked.

“Clark needs to recall Electivire, “Turquoise said. Before Clark could do so one of the stray thunder attacks zapped the pokeball and destroyed it which meant Electivire was freed from Clark’s control.

“Any other ideas?” Aqua asked.

“You must defeat Electivire,” Turquoise said.

“Are you insane?” Aqua asked.

“She is right, if you cause Electivire to faint I can have Chansey use heal bell to calm it down,” Brock said.

“Guess we have no choice, Marshtomp use water pulse. Marshtomp unleashed a water pulse but Electivire used Brick Break to stop it. Suddenly Electivire looked at aqua with rage since she was getting in his way of revenge. He was about to use thunder punch on Aqua but before he could get to her Marshtomp blocked it and tried to hold him back. Marshtomp looked back at Aqua with a look that conveyed her to get up and fight. Suddenly Marshtomp began to glow while still holding Electivire back. Her body began to change and grow bigger until she finished turning into a Swampert and pushed Electivire back.

“Now’s your chance Aqua, finish him,” Turquoise said.

“Right, Swampert use Rock Smash. Swampert struck with an orange fist that packed enough power to knock out Electivire.

“Now Chansey use heal bell. Chansey used heal bell to heal Electivire and calm him down. After he was healed, Electivire walked off into the forest.

“Hey where do you think you're going? I own you,” Clark demanded before Turquoise unleashed a chop on his head which knocked him out.

“Anyone have a problem with that?” Turquoise asked.

“Nope, “the two of them said at once.

“Now let’s return to town,” Turquoise said.

“What about him?” Aqua asked, referring to Clark.

“Leave him, I'm sure the authorities will deal with him, " Brock said. Soon the girls were now back with Fluttershy.

“I’m sorry for the way I acted, and being so pushy,” Aqua said.

“I forgive you, but remember what happened with Electivire and don’t make the same mistake Clark did,” Turquoise said.

“I won’t, I promise to only let my pokemon evolve when they are ready,” Aqua said.

“Good, now Turquoise, did you remember to sign up for the contest?” Fluttershy asked.

“I signed up before this whole mess happened and now I'm even more ready for tomorrow,” Turquoise said.

“Good now let’s get some rest,” Fluttershy said.

Meanwhile in the forest, Clark was now without his bag or anything which left him at the mercy of all the wild pokemon who all did not look happy with Clark especially now that Electivire had no one to stop him from enacting revenge for forcing him to become what he is now.

‘Nice Electivire, you don’t want to hurt me do you? “Clark asked only for Electivire to wrap one of his two tails around his wrist and use thunder to electrocute him. Clark began running for his life with all the pokemon chasing him.

I know I submitted a chapter yesterday but i suddenly had the inspiration to write this one and went with it. I know things like taking another trainer's Pokémon and having Pokémon attack people is breaking the norm, but I imagine this is what happens when cruel trainers use force to make their Pokémon evolve.
