Our heroes are now on the road to Lilycove City but today their travels bring them to a small town.

“Ok Turquoise, where are we?” Aqua asked which caused Turquoise to check the pokenav.

“According to the Pokenav, we are currently in Cedarville Town,” Turquoise said. As they were walking Fluttershy noticed something that Turquoise would be interested in.

“Hey Turquoise check this out,” fluttershy said referring to a flyer for a pokemon contest.

“What luck, a contest, and it’s today,” Turquoise said before running off to the contest hall.

“Wait for us Turquoise, “Fluttershy said before she and Aqua began running after her. By the time they caught up to her she was already registered.

“Did you make it in time?” Aqua asked.

“Make it in time? I was the only one to enter so far,” Turquoise said.

“No surprise there since our humble town is quite small and we don’t have many people,” A woman said.

“Exactly what is Cedarville Town’s population?” Fluttershy asked.

“Currently about 150,” The woman said.

“Dumbar’s number, so that means everyone knows everyone?” Turquoise asked.

“Yep and so far you're the only coordinator to come here,” The woman said.

“So how long until the contest begins?” Aqua asked.

“It starts this afternoon but since she is the only one to enter, we may be canceling it since we can’t have a contest with only one trainer,” the woman said.

“Contest aside, introductions are in order, I’m Turquoise, “Turquoise said.

“And I'm Aqua, “Aqua said.

“I’m Fluttershy,” Fluttershy said.

“I’m Sophia, and I'm the mayor of our small town,” Sophia said. “I was really hoping this contest would save our town but it looks like I was wrong. The girls and Sophia went to a nearby cafe to talk more.

“So tell us about this town,” Turquoise said.

“Cedarville was a small village founded by a local mining tycoon from the Orre region back in the 1900’s. Our town slowly grew and we once used to be a booming town until the mines ran dry and people started leaving. Over the years my great grandfather and my grandfather and then my mother tried to save our town by keeping up with the trends but so far tourism remained at zero. I had to do a whole lot of persuasion with the contest committee to even get them to let us host one this year and not to mention how much money it cost to renovate our town’s old stadium for this event," Sophia said.

“Ok so what you're saying is you're betting your entire town's survival on this contest,” Turquoise said.

“Exactly,” Sophia said. Before she could say more a really overpowering aroma filled the cafe which was caused by a Spritzee but who that spritzee belonged to really shocked Turquoise.

“Louise Milligan? I thought you were rotting in prison?” Turquoise asked.

“Surprise Surprise kid, I have a good lawyer and after months I managed to rebuild my real estate business,” Louise said.

“You know this lady Turquoise?” Aqua asked.

“Afraid so,” Turquoise said. “On my way to Vermillion City I helped foil her evil scheme to demolish a pokemon sanctuary.

“Well this time you can’t stop me, because since this town is many months behind on payments the land will be up for grabs next week,” Louise said.

“Whatever luxury nonsense you're planning on building, we won’t allow you to go through with it,” Turquoise said.

“Oh i’m not the one interested in this dust bowl of a town, My client is willing to pay me a huge fortune for this town and in a few days the deed is theirs and this time I did my homework,” Louise said.

“What do you mean by that? “Aqua asked.

“I mean unlike last time, you can’t stop me, Cedarville town is not a historical landmark and miss mayor here owes the IRS 50 million poke in taxes, As much as I want to expedite the process and just take the deed, I’m going to wait things out in my luxury condo which spoiler alert was built by chopping down a good chunk of the forest a few miles from here, “Louise said before laughing evilly and taking her leave which made Fluttershy angry.

“Why that witch, “Fluttershy shouted before Turquoise calmed her down.

“Easy Flutters, she won’t get away with this,” Turquoise said.

“And how do you plan to stop her, unless you just happen to have 50 million in savings?” Aqua asked.

“Not even close, however I may have an idea to drum up some business,” Turquoise said.

“And what is your plan?” Fluttershy asked.

“I will explain later but right now I have some calls to make,” Turquoise said. A few hours later Turquoise finished making the last call and after reuniting with the others she gathered them at the same cafe.

“Now will you tell us your plan?” Aqua asked.

“It’s really simple, one thing we coordinators have is star power so I made a few calls to some old friends who all agreed to come here for a special contest starring the eight best coordinators including yours truly,” Turquoise said.

“Wait by old friends do you mean?” Fluttershy asked.

“That’s right, my old rivals and good friends,” Turquoise said.

A couple days later the girls were waiting by the entrance to the town. A few minutes later a couple of familiar faces Turquoise and Fluttershy recognized saw them and walked up to them.

“Rarity, Applejack, so good to see you,” Turquoise said.

“We got your call darling, and you know I can't resist the allure of such an event, “Rarity said.

“Mighty nice town, it kind of reminds me of Appaloosa Town back home,” Applejack said.

“How do you four know each other?” Aqua asked.

“Oh we go way back,” Fluttershy said.

“We met Turquoise in Viridian City when she first started her journey, “Rarity said. Suddenly another girl arrived and turquoise was very excited to see her.

“Selena, so good to see you as always,how are you doing?” Turquoise asked.

“Very good, I just won my fourth ribbon before you called, " Selena said.

“Awesome, I am also one step away from the Hoenn grand festival, “Turquoise said while showing her the four ribbons she won.

“I’m impressed especially since Hoenn's rules for contests are different from other regions, “Rarity said.

“So who else have you invited?” Selena asked. Just before she could answer a laugh was heard before another familiar face along with his Dusknoir appeared out of a cloud of smoke.

“Kyle, so good to see you,” Turquoise said.

“Feels good to be in good old Hoenn again,” Kyle said.

“What’s with the pyrotechnics?” Aqua asked.

“All part of my act,” Kyle said.

“How many people did you call?” Rarity asked.

“Including you, Selena, and Kyle, I also invited two others along with two legends,” Turquoise said. Just as she said that the voice of someone spoke.

“Am I late?” the girl asked before turquoise approached her.

“No esmeralda, you're actually the fifth to arrive,” Turquoise said.

“How many people have you invited?” Selena asked.

“Enough for eight coordinators, which means for this contest the appeals round will be just a performance with nothing at stake,” Turquoise said. Just then three more people arrived and Turquoise was glad to see them.

“Emma, Dawn, Zoey, you made it,” Turquoise said.

“You know I would come for the girl who gave me courage, “Emma said.

“And I am always willing to help when I can,” Dawn said.

“And she dragged me along, “Zoey said.

“Alright Turquoise now that everyone is here can you fill us in on why you summoned us all here, because i don’t think it is just so you can compete in a simple contest,” Selena asked.

“Ok so here is the situation, A greedy real-estate mogul named Louise Milligan is about to sell the town to some mysterious client of hers and the mayor is riding on this contest to save the town and raise enough money to pay the bank, “Turquoise said.

“I see, so you're hoping to draw a crowd by gathering the best,” Esmeralda said.

“That’s the plan,” Turquoise said.

“Well we are here now but how are you going to get people to come?” Rarity asked.

“I believe I can be of assistance with that,” A familiar voice said.

“Vivian?” Turquoise said in shock.

“I heard about your plan to save this town and I'm in, “Vivian said before explaining what she could do. “What i’m going to do is advertise this as a special contest, however since this is just an exhibition contest, the ribbon won’t count towards any contests here or anywhere.

“That’s ok, as long as we save this place from that smelling Skuntank Louise Millagan,” Turquoise said.

A couple days later Louise was relaxing in her luxury condo sipping a cocktail as if she has already won.

“I bet those girls are about ready to throw in the towel by now, “Louise said before walking towards her balcony and looking through some binoculars. She was suddenly shocked by the large crowd of people coming into the town. “What? No, those brats could not have possibly found a way to save that run down old town. She rushed over to see what was going on. As soon as she got there Sophia noticed her.

“Glad you could make it ms. Milligan, “Sophia said.

“What the heck is going on?” Louise asked.

“A special exhibition contest, people from all over Hoenn and beyond have gathered to come see it,” Turquoise said.

“You, this was all you’re doing wasn't it?” Louise asked accusingly.

“I had the idea but i can’t take all the credit, my friends and Vivian all helped as well,” Turquoise said.

“You may have gathered a crowd, but you're still screwed unless the bank gets their money,” Louise pointed out. Before the exchange could continue turquoise noticed she had to get backstage and get ready. Little did Louise know among the audience was her mysterious client. As for Louise she decided to wait and see the devastation that she hopes will be coming after the contest.
