Two more weeks went by and so far the hormones have not made any more changes to Turquoise’s body. After getting dressed for school she loaded some black envelopes with a custom wax seal she created which consisted of a crescent moon with a die on the number six. Once she finished packing her bag she went downstairs where her parents were waiting.

“Are you excited about tomorrow?” Ruby asked.

“Very much so, I have the invites ready and packed,” Turquoise said.

“How many did you make?” Bullet asked.

“At least 313,” Turquoise said.

“Enough for the students who love you right?” Bullet asked.

“Exactly, Suri and the other 26 are not invited,” Turquoise said.

“Look I know it's your party and you are free to invite whoever you want but this whole thing with Suri has to stop and I think you should invite her, “Ruby said.

“Why should I invite her? So she can steal your designs and materials? So she can try and make my special day all about her?” Turquoise asked.

“Why are you convinced she will rob us?” Bullet asked.

“Because Rarity told me about how she did the same to her and even tried cheating her out of the trophy she rightfully won,” Turquoise said.

“Regardless I feel like your girl self has caused a lot of damage after seeing how many lives have been ruined,” Ruby said.

“Don’t tell me you're going against me now after I come this far?” Turquoise asked.

“I’m not against you, I just want the damage to stop,” Ruby said.

“I don’t know what you want me to do about it? I can’t control how people feel, rather they like me or hate me is up to them and Suri along with the other students who remained absolute in their choice won’t back down even if someone held a gun to their heads,” Turquoise said.

“She is right, back in my days in the army I saw many of the enemy soldiers we interrogated chose death over selling out their comrades,” Bullet said.

“I know you two are right but it's Cadence I'm worried about,” Ruby said. “She has been quite kind and patient with us but given everything that has happened since Turquoise transferred to Crystal Prep, She might be very close to expelling Turquoise just to put an end to all of it. Before the conversation could continue Turquoise had to go since she could not afford to be late for school.

Turquoise arrived at school safely and as soon as she entered she noticed that Jimmy and his two friends were not here today.

“I’m guessing Jimmy and his two pals were punished by our legal system,” Turquoise said before Golden approached her to answer her question.

“Jack and Felix were but Jimmy disappeared before his court date,” Golden said.

“Disappeared? How can that be? I thought the police would have kept a strict watch on him,” Turquoise asked.

“I don’t know all the details but the last time I saw him was in front of a bus station, I called the police but by the time they showed up, he was gone,” Golden said.

“My theory, he must have boarded a bus heading out of state,” Turquoise said.

“You may be right, but the police checked every bus leaving the state of California but did not find him,” Golden said. Suddenly, Ein walked by and picked up on their conversation.

“Are you two discussing the disappearance of Jimmy Gladstone?” Ein asked.

“We are,” Golden said.

“As a detective, what are your thoughts on this matter, Ein?” Turquoise asked.

“My theory is Jimmy must have disguised himself and managed to slip under the radar,” Ein said.

“Now that you mention it, I noticed someone with black hair and green eyes come out of the bathroom at the station that Jimmy went into,” Golden said.

“Tell me Golden what time was it when you witnessed this?” Ein asked.

“Around 2:15 pm on the 4th,” Golden said.

“Now it makes sense,” Ein said before sharing his deduction.”Jimmy left for the bus station with the intention of splitting town before the cops came after him, the next bus would leave at 3 pm so he had forty-five minutes to wait and don his disguise. Luckily for him there was another major crime in progress.

“You’re talking about the shootout and robbery at the Thorndale Mall, “Turquoise said, remembering that incident from the news.

“Exactly, the incident was so major that all units were called to deal with it,” Ein said.

“That explains why they said it would be an hour at the earliest before they could dispatch someone,” Golden said.

“And while that was happening Jimmy was able to board the bus out of California,” Ein said.

“Why take the bus? Wouldn't it be faster to just fly out of the state?” Golden asked.

“Because an airport would have iron clad security which makes boarding the planes a bigger hassle than it should be,” Turquoise said.

“Exactly,” Ein said.

“But where does the bus Jimmy took go?” Golden asked.

“According to the schedule, the bus that left at three was heading to Salem,” Ein said.

“Salem, Massachusetts?” Turquoise asked.

“Salem, Oregon,” Ein said.

“Oh, that makes much more sense,” Turquoise said.

“Well wherever he is, he is Oregon’s problem now,” Golden said.

“Enough about him, I have something for you two,” Turquoise said before reaching into her backpack and pulling out three of the envelopes she packed, one for Ein and two for Golden.

“What are these?” Golden asked.

“Invites for my birthday tomorrow, I gave you two in case you wanted to invite Key,” Turquoise said.

“Aw thanks for inviting us,” Golden said.

“I plan to distribute the rest at lunch,” Turquoise said.

“How many people do you intend to invite?” Golden asked.

“Whoever wants to come excluding the twenty-seven students who still hate me,” Turquoise said. Turquoise continued on to class. The day continued with little incident which for Turquoise was a good sign. Even though Suri might try something, the other twenty-six had the brains to keep their opinions to themselves and focus on graduation instead of Turquoise. That made Turquoise think of inviting some of them should some of the other students decide not to come. Soon lunch rolled around, and Turquoise sat with her friends.

“Hey Turquoise, are you excited for your birthday tomorrow?” Haruka asked.

“Tomorrow is your birthday?” Lemon asked.

“It sure is and I am,” Turquoise said before handing her friends their invites.

“Invite only, not bad,” Sunny said.

“Well, you know, I want to make sure only those I trust can come,” Turquoise said. “On that note do you girls think I should invite Suri?

“Heck no,” Lemon said.

“Why would you even think about her?” Haruka asked.

“It’s my mom, she is worried Principal Cadence is a single thread away from expelling me because of all the discord and damage my desire to become Turquoise has brought to her school,” Turquoise said.

“I know things have not been easy for you and it’s the same for Principal Cadence, but look at it this way, when this started a huge majority of the school hated you but over time, they learned to at least be respectful to you, Sure Cadence had to do some culling with the student population, but things have stabilized now,” Sunny said.

“That aside, would you girls mind helping me pass these out?” Turquoise said as she poured all her invites onto the table.

“Do you intend to invite the whole school?” Indigo asked in shock by the huge pile of invites that were on the table.

“That was my intention, but rather they wish to come is up to them, but I am hoping at least the people I befriended the most will be there,” Turquoise said.

“You know we would not miss it,” Lemon said.

“Well let's get to distributing these,” Indigo said. The girls all went around the cafeteria asking students if they were interested in coming to Turquoise’s party. While some accepted more than half had to decline on account of either having prior engagements or more important things to do. Turquoise was at least glad the ones she hoped would come accepted especially since Sapphy was there to share them with the other members of the Jewelry Box.

“So, what do you plan to do with all the extras?” Haruka asked as Turquoise was going over the list of students who still hate her.

“What is that?” Sunny asked.

“The list of students who still hate me,” Turquoise said. “I made this list because I don’t want to give up on them except for Suri who I may need to deal with sometime in the future.

“What do you mean?” Sunny asked.

“I mean mere words alone won’t convince her to change, and even if I try confronting her directly, she will most likely retaliate,” Turquoise said.

“Don’t tell me you are planning to stoop to Raven’s level?” Haruka said.

“Hell no, we all know how that ended, I don’t know how or when, but I have a feeling the answer will present itself when the time comes,” Turquoise said. The day went on and after her appointment Turquoise was on her way home when she decided to stop by a cafe that just opened up for a quick drink. As soon as she went inside, she noticed the workers were all dressed as maids. Soon a few of them approached Turquoise.

“Welcome home princess,” they said in unison.

“Thank you, “Turquoise said.

“Is this your first time at maid cafe Kitsune?” One of them asked.

“It is, I did not think they had maid cafes here in America,” Turquoise said.

“We are one of the few ones with a physical location, usually maid cafes in America are convention based,” The maid with long blonde hair wearing matching fox ears and a single tail said.

“Cool,” Turquoise said.

“But enough about us, let me show you to a table,” she said before showing Turquoise to an empty table and showing Turquoise the menu. “My name is maid Vee, let me know when you decide on something. Turquoise noticed a lot of cute and creative menu items and decided on the special which was a peppermint coffee with chunks of candy cane and red and green sprinkles topped on the whip cream. The place looked a bit dead with Turquoise being the only customer so far. Sometime later Vee came back with Turquosie’s order which looked captivating. Once she took a sip turquoise was on cloud nine with the flavor.

“That was amazing,” Turquoise said.

“Glad you like it; will that be all?” Vee asked.

“That will be it,” Turquoise said. Vee then gave turquoise her bill which was not a lot. Turquoise not only paid but tipped quite generously since she plans to come to this cafe more often and wants to make sure it stays for the foreseeable future.

“Oh, wow thank you for the tip,” Vee said.

“Thank you for the excellent service, “Turquoise said before getting up and leaving.

“Come again princess,” The maids said as Turquoise exited. Turquoise drove home happy.

The next day after school ended, Turquoise was in her room getting ready. Her mom made her a special dress since this was meant to be her day. Meanwhile in the foyer everyone gathered and some of them were surprised by Turquoise’s home.

“There is no way Turquoise lives here,” one of the students who hated Turquoise said.

“No, she does, you would have known that if you got to know her,” Lemon said.

“I think we should become close to her now, “Another student said which made Haruka a bit annoyed since she could tell this sudden change was not for good reasons.

“So suddenly you like Turquoise now that you know she is rich?” Haruka asked.

“Of course not,” One of them said defensively, which was not following Haruka. Lemon saw what Haruka was doing and pulled her to the side to talk privately.

“Look I know you are looking out for Turquoise but please for the sake of her special day, let's not cause any drama, “Lemon said.

“Alright, but if these jerks try anything, all bets are off, “Haruka said. They rejoined the crowd and soon Turquoise made her grand entrance wearing a red and black Lolita-style gown with her hair styled in a Lolita style.

“That’s Turquoise? She looks like some princess from an old kingdom,” A third student said.

“I like it, it looks good on her,” A female student said. The night began with a performance by the band Foxdivas who wrote the opening theme for the bladelolies anime.

“No way it's Foxdivas, how did she manage to book them?” A male student asked.

“No way you actually booked them?” Turquoise asked her dad.

“It was not easy but after some tough negotiations I convinced them to make a brief stop here just for you and your friends,” Bullet said. After a few songs it was time for cake. The chefs prepared a huge chocolate cake with black frosting rosettes topped with two candles that made the number 17. After the song and blowing the candles out the staff began cutting and serving. The many students who ate the cake were amazed by how it tasted like nothing they had before. Now came the important part.

“Start with mine love,” Haruka said before handing Turquoise her present. Turquoise opened it and it was revealed to be a black kimono with red crescent moons on it. “I had that special order from my hometown in Tokyo and it’s my way of saying welcome to my family.

“I love it, thank you Haruka,” Turquoise said. The night continued and Turquoise was very happy to share her special day with her friends.
