A couple weeks went by since the convention and today Turquoise was in the middle of a job interview with the head maid of maid cafe kitsune.

“So Turquoise, how do you feel about customer service?” The maid asked.

“The customer is everything and I feel it's always important to make sure they have a good time,” Turquoise said genuinely, which won the maid over.

“Very good, next question are you comfortable wearing a maid outfit in front of people?” the maid asked.

“I am,” Turquoise said.

“Good, now I believe we covered the important questions and so far, I like what I am seeing, “the maid said before pulling out some papers. “Since you're the only applicant we got, I'm just going to get right to the important part. The papers were the maid application sheet and other important forms.

“Do I need to use my real name?” Turquoise asked, referring to the section that said maid name.

“Not if you don’t want to, this is what the guests will know you as,” The maid said. Turquoise gave it some thought and decided to go with Rui for her maid name. After going through all of the important things Turquoise was hired as a maid at the cafe. Next was getting measured for her uniform and creating her character. A minute later she was now wearing the same cute maid outfit as the other maids.

“Now let's see if we have some ears and tail that match that lovely red hair of yours,” Maid Vee said as she looked and luckily found some. After putting them on Turquoise was ready to work. Fortunately, things were slow right now, so she had time to get to know the girls.

“So, Rui, what made you want to work here?” Vee asked.

“I always saw maid cafes as fun and exciting, and wanted to join one but sadly none of the ones here wanted me,” Turquoise said.

“Well, you are one of us now and that’s what matters,” Another maid named Miko said.

“Thank you,” Turquoise said.

“Come to think of it, I believe you go to crystal prep, right?” Vee asked.

“I do,” Turquoise said.

“Thought so, Vee said before elaborating on why she asked. “I remember seeing the uniform you wore when you first visited, and I believe Melody goes to the same school as you.

“How many of us are there?” Turquoise asked.

“Including you we have a total of six maids working here now,” Miko said.

“That’s it?” Turquoise asked, quite surprised.

“Well maid cafes are not as popular here in America as they are in Japan,” Vee said. Suddenly the sound of the door opening drew their attention.

“Hey girls sorry I’m late my dad was lecturing me about,” The girl said before noticing Turquoise. “Who is the new maid?

“Melody, this is Rui,” Vee said.

“Claire? You work here?” Turquoise asked.

“Since last year, yes, this is actually our new location which beats that cramped broom closet we were working in,” Claire said. “What are you doing here Turquoise?

“I just got hired as a maid here,” Turquoise said.

“Ok girls you know the rules, no using our real names,” the head maid said and was willing to let it slide this time since Turquoise just started. Soon business began to pick up and Turquoise was becoming a hit with the customers due to her somewhat shy personality which they loved. Once a break in the customers arrived the girls decided to take a break before cleaning.

“You are a natural Rui,” Melody said.

“Yeah, where did you learn to use shyness like that?” Vee asked.

“From Aries in the anime Fairy tail, plus I kind of have experience with it,” Turquoise said.

“Well keep it up because the customers love it,” Melody said. After cleaning the place, it was quitting time which meant it was time to change back to regular clothes Turquoise drove home and once she got there her parents were waiting.

“So how did the interview go?” Bullet asked.

“I got the job, “Turquoise said while also showing them her maid outfit.

“Congrats Turquoise, we are proud of you,” Ruby said.

“Granted I was hoping your first job would have been something more manly, but a job is a job,” Bullet said. Weeks went by and Turquoise has now become part of maid cafe kitsune’s main roster especially since the owner was planning on doing conventions to drum up more business. As the girls were cleaning, they began to chat amongst themselves.

“So, Rui, what do you plan to do once school starts again?” Melody asked.

“Who knows, but one thing I do know, things will be different than last year,” Turquoise said.

“Because all the people who hate you are gone now?” Melody asked.

“That and now that I finished my transition, no one will make fun of me again,” Turquoise said.

“Plus, now you won’t look out of place among us girls,” Melody said.

The first day of the new school year came and Turquoise was excited and looking forward to a hate free school. As soon as she got dressed and went downstairs her parents were waiting for her.

“Have fun,” Ruby said before Turquoise left. Sometime later She was now at crystal prep where a huge influx of students both old and new were entering. As soon as she entered the building Sapphire was waiting for her.

“You made it,” Sapphire said with joy.

“So glad to be back after such a turbulent year,” Turquoise said. They got in line to collect their class schedules. Sometime later they were outside the gym.

“So which classes did you get?” Sapphire asked.

“Aside from math and science, it looks like I'm taking home ec and gym too, “Turquoise said before realizing what she just said. “Wait, gym?

“Something the matter?” Sapphire asked.

“Yes, gym is my worst subject but I'm even more surprised considering how the fact I was originally male now turned female should have barred me from this subject,” Turquoise said.

“You should bring it up with the principal, but the good news is we share a couple classes this year,” Sapphire said. Turquoise proceeded to her first class of the day which was Science. As soon as Turquoise entered, she was surprised to see Fleur and Haruka were there too.

“Good to see you girls again,” Turquoise said.

“You too Turquoise, you look different today,” Fleur said referring to how she styled her hair in a twin drill style.

“Clair showed me how to do twin drills,” Turquoise said as she took her seat. Soon it was time for class to start and instead of the usual science teacher an old man in a lab coat came in and addressed the class.

“Mr. Stein won’t be teaching here anymore so I'm your new science teacher,” The man said before writing his name on the board. “I’m Mr. Vegapunk and I believe that nothing is impossible. The new students introduced themselves to the class and Vegapunk began by asking the class what their goals were starting with Turquoise.

“My goal is to change the direction of my dad’s company with my invention,” Turquoise said.

“Oh, and what is this invention of yours?” Vegapunk asked.

“A full dive gaming system,” Turquoise said, which really got vegapunk intrigued.

“I see, and how far have you gotten with the microwaves and how are you testing it?” Vegapunk asked which surprised Turquoise since she was under the impression an old man like him would not know about anime.

“So far I finished the prototype and tested it myself, full dive test number one was a success,” Turquoise said. “As for where my consciousness is going, it's placed inside the world of my own game that I am working on.

“You’re a game designer?” A boy in the class asked.

“Among other things,” Turquoise said.

“May we see this game you made?” the boy asked.

“I’m afraid it's still in the development phase and not even close to the beta testing phase yet, plus I said enough already, I don’t want someone stealing my idea,” Turquoise said. The class continued and as the day went on the whole school was peaceful for the moment. Soon it was lunch time and Turquoise sat with her friends.

“How is your day going Turquoise?” Lemon asked.

“Pretty good, so far no one tried to hurt me,” Turquoise said.

“Enjoy it while it lasts, because you never know when the tides will turn, “Sugarcoat said.

“And what does that mean?” Fleur asked.

“It means more students are bound to enroll here and those students may be as nasty as some of the ones we had to deal with last year, “Sugarcoat said.

“Let’s cross that bridge when we get to it,” Turquoise said, not wanting to ruin the mood.

“By the way, have you decided what after school activities you wanted to do yet?” Sunny asked.

“Not yet but I might join the cheer squad,” Turquoise said.

“That’s quite ambitious for a girl, what brought this on?” Haruka asked.

“The fact I have gym fifth period and that nothing else seems to be interesting to me,” Turquoise said.

“You are aware that cheer tryouts won’t be for a few weeks, plus I heard that new girl Ursula is in charge of judging it,” Lemon said.

“I should at least try,” Turquoise said.

“You're right but have you even done anything remotely close to this?” Indigo asked.

“Other than in the world of my game, not really,” Turquoise said. The girls kept talking until lunch ended. Turquoise just finished her fourth period and now it was time for her worst subject. Once she got changed, she reported to the gym where a familiar face was waiting for her.

“I remember you, Turquoise, right?” the coach who was the one from last year asked.

“Yes mam,” Turquoise said.

“Well let's see what you got,” Coach Julia said before having the girls run some laps around the gym. To Turquosie’s surprise she was not feeling tired like she normally would. Next came the real workout which was just volleyball. The girls were quite surprised by Turquosie’s reaction speed more so than she was herself. She theorized that her brain must be using the muscle memory from the game since before then her reaction speed was not nearly this good considering her lack of physical ability.

“Damn girl, where have you been hiding all that skill?” one of the girls asked.

“To be honest, I'm quite surprised as well,” Turquoise said. Naturally one of the new girls, a girl with long blonde hair and red eyes looked intrigued with Turquoise.

“I must have her for the team,” she said to herself. Once the workouts were over the girls hit the locker rooms to shower and change. Turquoise was a bit reluctant at first since she would be almost naked in front of real girls.

“Don’t look so nervous, you have a lovely body,” One of them said.

“Thank you,” Turquoise said while blushing.

“Listen, I know some of us gave you a hard time last year but now that you finished your transition, you are one of us so relax,” A girl from last year said while she and Turquoise were changing.

“Thank you for telling me that, When I was assigned to gym class, I thought it was going to be problematic after everything that happened last year,” Turquoise said.

“Well to be fair, we assumed you were just a pretender trying to work the system to sexually assault us,” The girl known as RaI said.

“I understand why, a lot of men are perverts, but I saw myself as the love interest rather than the protagonist,” Turquoise said while putting her shoes on.

“You mean like Asuna or Raphtalia?” Rai asked.

“I do,” Turquoise said. Once everyone was completely dressed in their uniforms it was off to sixth period. Once school ended for the day Turquoise was off to her job at Maid Cafe Kitsune. Once she got there the maids were waiting for her.

“Good news Rui, we got the gig at Cloudcon,” Vee said.

“Awesome, so when do we go?” Turquoise asked.

“It’s in October and Kira is having us do singing, dancing, and stuff,” Vee said.

“I’m excited to learn,” Turquoise said.

“Good because practice starts Friday afternoon which means the cafe will be closed, as for where we are practicing, I converted the unit above us into a practice room for our dance routines,” Kira said. Turquoise went in the back to change and as soon as she came out it was time to get into character. Soon the first customer of the afternoon came in.

“Welcome home master,” Turquoise said with as much energy as she could along with Clair and Vee.

I don't know if my information is accurate or not but i hope you all enjoy regardless. as for the next chapter, I'm putting that on hold to focus on my other project. once I finish that I will resume work on this story.
