Awakening Of The Turquoise Heiress
Autumn Engagement
Previous ChapterNext Chapter9/2/24
A few weeks went by and today Turquoise was excited since cheer tryouts were today.
“You really intend on doing this aren't you,” Haruka said
“I know the odds may be slim but the only thing worse than failing is not trying at all,” Turquoise said.
“Either way if you do make the team promise me you will be careful because I don't want any of those meatheads on the football team to ruin my waifu,” Haruka said.
“If Lance did not want me why would any of these guys want me?” Turquoise asked.
“Please don’t take this so lightly, the last thing I want is to see your parents disown you should someone impregnate you,” Haruka said.
“You really think my mom and dad would do that to me?” Turquoise asked, feeling somewhat afraid now.
“Yes, teenage pregnancy is no joke, it has destroyed the lives of many girls, especially when their parents tell them to either get rid of the baby or get disowned and evicted from their house,” Haruka said.
“How do you know this?” Turquoise asked.
“Someone I knew at the first High School I went to was the head cheerleader of the school’s cheerleading squad and she was impregnated by the quarterback who was quite boastful and damn proud of it,” Haruka said before continuing. “When her parents found out they not only disowned her when she refused to get a abortion but even murdered the boy who was responsible and his arrogant tone towards them only made it more painful.
“What happened to the girl?” Turquoise asked.
“After her parents were arrested she took her belongings and moved to Indianapolis to live with her Aunt, I have not heard much from her ever since,” Haruka said. The girls went to class but Turquoise was now full of concerns. She did not want to believe her own mom and dad would up and abandon her should someone make her pregnant. The day went on and as soon as lunch came her friends could tell something was on her mind.
“What’s on your mind Turquoise?” Fleur asked.
“Just something Haruka told me about pregnancy and how it can destroy lives,” Turquoise said.
“Slow down girl, You're not thinking about cheating on Haruka are you?” Lemon asked.
“Hell no, I would never stab the only person who wants me romantically in the back like that, I'm just worried that what she said is true or not,” Turquoise said.
“Teenage pregnancy is no joke, and nine times out of ten it’s not voluntary since men are perverted pigs that will force themselves onto you,” Sugarcoat said, which really scared Turquoise.
“Too blunt Sugarcoat,” Sunny said.
“Don’t focus on this stuff too much, this is your body and what you do with it is your choice,” Fleur said. The day continued and Turquoise was slowly losing the drive to go through with cheer tryouts since all this talk about life and how it can be destroyed had her on edge. Turquoise was now standing in front of the entrance to the Gym with cold feet until Haruka showed up.
“I came to see you in action and to give emotional support should you fail,” Haruka said.
“I’m not sure about this anymore, what if all that stuff you said is true?” Turquoise said.
“You know I worry about you and what you said earlier about how not trying is worse than failing is right,” Haruka said. Turquoise was glad to have Haruka by her side as they entered the gym. Haruka took her seat in the stands while turquoise waited her turn. The girl before her had some decent moves but it was not enough to impress the judges.
“Next,” The blonde girl from Turquoise’s gym class said. Turquoise stood before them.
“Name?” the girl next to the blonde one asked.
“Turquoise,” Turquoise said.
“Show us what you got,” The blonde girl said. Turquoise played her music and started her routine which surprisingly was amazing especially since Haruka did not not know she was this flexible. “You got moves.
“I’ll say, I did not know you could do splits,” Another girl said.
“I think we found our first member, wouldn’t you say Ursula?,” A third girl asked.
“Indeed we have,” Ursula said. “Welcome to the team Turquoise.
“Looks like we have a grade A hottie joining the team this year,” One of the football players said.
“Who gets dibs on the red head? “Another one asked before Haruka interrupted them.
“None of you, that red head is mine and I won’t let any of you deflower her,” Haruka said.
“Yeah? Well what are you going to do about it you pansy?” The quarterback asked in a taunting way. Suddenly Haruka slammed the quarterback into the wall almost hard enough to break his helmet.
“Turquoise is my girlfriend and unless you value your lives you will not try anything, she is not a slut or a baby factory for you to exploit, “Haruka said.
“Ok we promise to not do anything just chill out dude,” The Quarterback said.
“Who knew that red head had such a guard dog for a lover,” One of the football players said feeling intimidated.
“Uh guys I think we should get away from here,” Another football player said.
“What are you so afraid of, Bronze?” The Quarterback asked.
“That’s Haruka Goldenburn, she is a dangerous woman to be around,” Bronze said.
“Wait, that guy is a girl? And more importantly, how do you know her?” One of the football players asked.
“We went to the same school before coming here. After Keith got one of her friends pregnant against her will she bashed him up bigtime for destroying her friend’s life.
“Didn’t you say it was the ebony’s who killed Keith?” The quarterback asked.
“They did but Haruka was the one who left all those bruises on his body,” Bronze said.
“Then why are we still here? Let's get going,” The quarterback said before the whole team left. Cheer tryouts ended and along with Turquoise several other girls made it onto the team.
“Congrats ladies you all made the team,” Ursula said before everyone was dismissed. Turquoise was not scheduled to work today so she went straight home since she had a very serious question to ask her parents. As soon as she got home her parents were already in the foyer as always. They noticed she looked like something was wrong.
“You didn’t make the team?” Ruby asked.
“No I made it, in fact the head cheerleader had nothing but praise for me,” Turquoise said.
“Then what seems to be the matter?” Bullet asked. Turquoise took a deep breath before speaking.
“Mom, Dad, you would never abandon me, would you?” Turquoise asked.
“Of course not,” Bullet said.
“Why in the world would you think something like that?” Ruby asked.
“Even if I ended up getting pregnant and did not want to have an abortion, you will not kick me out or worse?” Turquoise asked which took them by surprise.
“Are you pregnant now?” Ruby asked.
“Of course not, The reason I asked is because Haruka told me some very scary things involving an old friend of hers at one of her former schools,” Turquoise said.
“What did she tell you?” Bullet asked. Turquoise told them about the story Haruka told her in exact detail as she described it which caused the two to hug her.
“We promise not to abandon you should some dirtbag knock you up,” Ruby said.
“And I will personally have my security team murder them if you ask,” Bullet said.
“They can do that?” Turquoise asked.
“They are former marines so killing is a part of their training and they know how to do so from far away,” Bullet said.
“That said, I think a discussion with Haruka and her parents is in order,” Ruby said. Sometime later all six of them were sitting in the living room ready to discuss the future of Turquoise and Haruka’s relationship.
“Haruka, why did you tell turquoise those things that had her spooked?” Bullet asked.
“Because I was worried about her,” Haruka said. “When Turquoise told me she wanted to join the cheerleading team I remembered what happened to Violet and did not want the same thing to happen again.
“She is not lying, We never heard from Violet Ebony after her parents were arrested and she moved away,” Haruka’s Dad said.
“We don’t want Turquoise being targeted or forced into a situation where sex is enumerable, so what should we do?” Ruby asked.
“I think it's about time Turquoise and Haruka took the next step in their relationship,” Haruka's mom suggested.
“You don’t mean?” Ruby asked before Haruka's mom interrupted her.
“That’s right, engagement,” Haruka's mom said.
“You mean marriage? But isn’t it too soon for that?” Turquoise asked.
“Relax, an engagement is just a trial period before tying the knot,” Ruby explained.
“Besides it shows that you're off the market that way no boy will dare try anything,” Bullet said.
“I know but we are still in high school, is it even legal for two minors to be engaged, let alone married?” Turquoise asked.
“This is California, there is no age limit for minors to be married, as long as both parents consent to it,” Ruby said.
“Which by the way we do,” Bullet said.
“As do we,” Haruka's mom said.
“Haruka spent all of middle school and half of high school looking for you, not just because you're her friend but also because you're the one she loves even now,” Haruka's dad said.
“It’s true, you're the one I want to be with, you're the one who matters to me more than anyone,” Haruka said.
“Then I accept,” Turquoise said.
“Good now I believe a trip to the jewelry store is needed,” Ruby said.
“Indeed, rings are needed for an engagement,” Bullet said.
“Already got that covered, “Haruka said before pulling a ring box out of her backpack.
“You mean to tell us you already planned to propose to her?” Bullet asked in surprise.
“I did, i bought the ring a long time ago but with all that transpired last year could never find a good time,” Haruka said.
“Well what are you waiting for? Do it,"Haruka's mom said.
“Not here, an occasion like this requires the right setting,” Haruka said.
“Then where do you suggest?” Ruby asked.
“I have a special place in mind, Turquoise. I would like for you to meet me there after school tomorrow, “Haruka said. With the plans now arranged turquoise went to bed excited.
The next day at school everyone could tell turquoise was happy about something.
“What has got you in such a good mood today?” Fleur asked.
“Its, A sec, ret,” Turquoise said cutely. The day went on and while many of Turquosie’s friends tried to get it out of her neither Turquoise nor Haruka spilled a single thing about it. School ended for the day and while Turquoise was busy with cheer practice Haruka drove off to what looked like a replica of a Japanese shrine that looked abandoned. Haruka was secretly maintaining it since this was like a piece of her homeland to her.
“I am so excited to share this place with Turquoise, I hope she likes it, “Haruka said while making sure everything was perfect.
Back with Turquoise cheer practice ended for the day and while the girls were changing turquoise got a text from Haruka asking her to come to the Autumn trail which confused Turquoise since there was nothing there but a huge pile of leaves.
“Something wrong Turq?” Ursula asked.
“Nothing, just my girlfriend asking me to meet her by the Autumn Trail for some reason?” Turquoise said while pulling her school skirt up.
“Why there? All you will find there is a bunch of dead leaves and broken statues," Sylvia said.
“I even heard rumors of a ghost who haunts the place,” Serena said.
“What evidence do you have of that?” Turquoise asked.
“Normally an abandoned site would be neglected and in decay but it’s been clean and well maintained,” Serena said.
“Maybe it's that way because some good samaritan wanted to do something nice such as cleaning it for free,” Turquoise said while also adding how she saw videos of people on youtube cleaning graves for free.
“Either way be careful,” Ursula said before Turquoise left. Sometime later turquoise was now in front of the abandoned Autumn Trail which looked like someone cleared the dead leaves and replaced them with freshly fallen ones which gave the place a nice vibrant contrast of oranges and yellows. She followed the path which led to some stone stairs lined by what looked like paper lanterns. The amount of stairs was quite surprisingly long but after ten minutes of climbing she reached what looked like an old Japanese shrine.
“I did not know this was here,” Turquoise said.
“You made it love, " Haruka said.
“What is this place?” Turquoise asked.
“It used to be part of an old theme park that went bankrupt ten years ago but now it’s my own personal shrine,” Haruka said.
“Are we even allowed up here?” Turquoise asked, remembering how this land belonged to the city.
“Relax, my dad bought this plot of land so we are fine, “Haruka said.
“”Ok i’m here now, so why did you ask me to come here?” Turquoise asked.
“Wait for it,” Haruka said before the sun began to set just right with the cherry blossoms blowing in the wind. Suddenly Haruka got on one knee and opened the ring box she showed Turquoise which had a silver ring with what looked like a Turquoise gemstone on it. “We have been friends for a long time and while it took five and a half years to reunite we still found each other again. Sure this was not how I was expecting this day to go but i’m not complaining, Turquoise Dusk will you do me the honor of marrying me? Suddenly turquoise felt more excited than she was this morning.
“Yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes YES!” Turquoise said repeatedly like from Jojo’s bizarre adventures before hugging Haruka lovingly. After putting the ring on Turquosie’s finger the engagement was now official. Little did either of them know Lemon was watching from a distance.
“So that’s why Turquoise was so excited, congratulation girl,” Lemon said before leaving. Turquoise and Haruka were enjoying the night sky for a bit.
The next day at lunch the girls were surprised to see Turquoise wearing her new engagement ring except for Lemon who already knew and decided it was best to let Turquoise and Haruka break the news.
“What’s with the ring Turquoise?” Fleur asked.
“Haruka and I are now engaged and I could not be any happier,” Turquoise said.
“We are so happy for you two,” Sunny said.
“And now those meatheads can’t touch her,” Haruka said.
“Let’s hope so because the only child I want to bear is yours,” Turquoise said to Haruka. The news spread throughout Crystal Prep and while the boys were disappointed that Turquoise was off the market they still hoped for the best for her and Haruka. Principal Cadence was also happy about this news.
“You did Turquoise, you found true love,” Cadence said with joy.
Author's Note
decided to post the next chapter since i hit a wall on my other project but anyway. All this stuff about high school pregnancy felt like a serious matter that i felt needed to be included since i thought someone might ask since i know it's important to have Turquoise experience what real girls go through even if it does not happen yet.
