After the public executions of her families murderers, the Bolsheviks forces faced mass desertions. The only ones left were those who didn't have any family or friends left in Russia that they cared about; those who thought that the Communist ideology was worth fighting for and the true believers. They were slaughtered as the Klabautermanns mowed them down without mercy. Giving the same mercy to any White Soldiers they found pillaging, raping and killing, none. For Sunset wants wipe them out, so that any threat of further insurrection is neutralized.

Sunset's show of cruelty to her families murderers, won her the respect of her people who both fear her but flock to her for protection. She unlike either the Bolsheviks or the White Army, freely gave food, clothing, medical supplies, and other things that the Russian people needed to survive. The chaos of the Russian civil war caused more shortages and deaths than before, as all trade and work had halted, as no one knew who was in charge. Sunset herself has been showing herself to her people in the villages, towns, and cities taken by her forces. The places where the soldiers had been abusing the people, who weren’t killed or ran away, she held public executions. Even letting the ones who survive to do the deed. Like the women who were used as sex toys by the soldiers were given farming tools and allowed to take revenge on their rapists. Children allowed to be the ones who decided if the ones who killed their parents in front of them. Mobs allowed to tear their tormentors apart as they begged for mercy that they had showed none when it was them in power.

“This is just like back in our time,” a Roman Klabautermann said who is a middle-eastern woman watching as a mob of angry villagers tore the White Army soldiers apart.

“Really?” Jame Gotham a black American asked.

“Yes, there are times when bandits or others were caught and the soldiers allowed their victims to take their revenge,” the Roman Klabautermann said.

One of the groups tearing apart one of the soldiers, screams grew louder as one of the villages held up the privates of the soldiers high in the air. The White Army soldiers who are apart of the new royal army are made to watch the execution to remind them what awaits them if they abuse their power. Which works as the White Army soldiers now stayed loyal out of fear and that she doesn’t need them. She has an army that follows her orders and doesn’t abuse their powers over the people. That all the different leaders of the White Army quickly understood, they needed her more than she needs them. (2)

Former soldiers and officers of the old royal army, have joined in the hopes of grabbing power. But quickly found that the human soldiers that they could build a power base on, are few and the higher ranks are filled with Klabautermanns. Who couldn’t be brought or turn against their princess. And Sunset refuses to entrust any real power to former officers who made things a mess during the war.

Speaking of which the war is now over and while the soldiers are now just sitting around and waiting for orders. The Central Powers are now in peace talks with the Allied powers for an end to the war on their terms. With cargo trains of supplies from both the Ottoman Empire and Germany as part of the deal Sunset made to give them their fleet of Klabautermanns.

“The princess is really winning them over,” James said.

“Things haven’t changed much from our time. You humans remain the same,” the Roman Klabautermann said.

“Can’t say it’s different back home,” James said knowing how bad things can get.

“Word has it that you played a jazz show in France,” the Roman Klabautermann said.

“Yes, I did,” James said.

“Get a band together. The princess is going to be hosting some guests in a few days. A live band be nice,” the Klabautermann said.

“Sure, I’ll find some people,” James said who is under orders to keep the Russian princess looking favorably on the United States.

The original 6 warships and the daughter of one of them, aren’t happy with the country they were made to protect. Seeing how Constitution being the only white member of the family, has become Jewish as she visited every synagogue they came across. Which made waves back home as the sole white member of the original 6 warships is now a Jew. She pointed out that there is nothing keeping anyone from just picking a new religion anytime they want if the faith isn’t for them. (3)

In the war room George Frederick Ernest Albert the king of the United Kingdom, met with the war cabinet. The peace talks with the Central Powers aren’t going good but with them now having 2 fleets of Klabautermanns, there little that could be done. The only one who can give him his own fleet of Klabautermann of English ships, is his niece Sunset, who refuses to speak to him for his inaction of saving her family. Friedrich on the other hand got his fleet because of him making a deal with Sunset and giving up his good arm, which has won him respect from his people. Showing them what he’s willing to give up.

George has been trying to summon the Klabautermann of HMS Victory but nothing has worked. None of the so called magic users could use actual magic to summon a ship spirit. He’s been singing different navy songs trying to get the results that Sunset gets when she sings. The ritual needs a ruler to work, the spies and the shows Sunset put on all had a ruler or a former ruler whenever a summon took place.

USS Constitution showed that she could summon other Klabautermanns during her summoning. Bringing her sister ships and her niece to life, giving the United States their own fleet of Klabautermanns. But thanks to the sisters being different races and a bigot US soldier setting them off, they’re on strike refusing to take orders. Making the Americans have egg on their faces, and made into laughing stocks. And agents like his have been talking with the American Klabautermanns offering them to join their countries.

Sunset said she could have made them obey no matter what, but she won’t do that to her fleet and won’t do it for any other fleet. From what George has heard there are changes being made in both the Ottoman Empire and Germany. So that their fleets of Klabautermanns won’t suddenly decide to strike. And from what the intelligence agents have discovered there a have been more Klabautermanns showing up for the two fleets, giving backing to the idea that a Klabautermann can summon other Klabautermanns. The rumor had started after a spirit Klabautermann had showed up by one of the striking American ships.

“Isn’t there anyone who can use magic?” George asked having even put an ad in the news papers and telegrams across England and its colonies for anyone who can use magic to step forward. Even offering a position of court magician, like in the old days when court jesters were still a thing. (4)

“I had people look all across England and found nothing. All of the so called magic are just sleight of hand tricks, none of what we seen when the princess used her magic. I check church records and nothing that shows any hints of magic but for the it’s the work of the devil,” the intelligence officer said.

“If there was anyone who knew magic, they died in the witch hunts and the church stamping it out,” another officer said.

“It looks like the art of magic is just a lost art that we just have to rediscover,” one of the people in the room said.

“Look in the colonies, for witch doctors, shamans and anything else. There has to be someone who can use magic somewhere in the empire. And make sure that everyone knows that if one is found and is mistreated because of the color of their skin or they’re a woman, there will be grave consequences for that person. The only one who knows magic and can teach it that is known is Sunset and she won’t help. Without magic and Klabautermanns the war is over and any future conflicts, it be just a slaughter to fight the German and Ottoman fleets…,” George stop as he stared at someone who he hasn’t seen since he was a much younger man.

Standing at the doorway of the room is Prince Albert of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, his grandfather and Alexandrina Victoria his grandmother, both ghosts. Both of them stared at their grandson, Victoria with a look of utter disappointment. Albert toss a rotten piece of wood onto the table and both former monarchs vanished. Leaving the entire room stunned.

Baba Yaga smiles seeing the panic that happen shortly afterwards. The piece of the old shipwreck should work for what she has plan. Her pawns just need to get it right and an old legend will be given flesh again.

1 - The Russian people don't care about that Sunset had her family's all killed with only the very young being spared. All they care about is that they're being given what they need to live and have security so that others won't take it. They’re hungry and scared of the fighting happening around them, people will flock to anyone who gives that to them. And almost entire families being executed by said person doesn’t matter to them as it didn’t happen to them. For people living in a war zone and aren’t apart of the sides fighting all they want is some stability.

2 - Giving the arm forces better treatment and more money keeps them loyal to those in power.

3 - If the religion doesn’t make you happy, you can just look into something else or just give up doing something that doesn’t help you in anyway.
