Chapters Death Note
Chapter 1
It was yet another normal day for Twilight Sparkle. She read a bit, practised her magic, hang out with her friends and went for a stroll. everything was as it should be. When she arrived home she found Spike crying and clutching a letter. "Whats wrong Spike?" she asked. He just passed her the letter newspaper clipping. It read:
Twilight and Moonlight have been found dead. It seems they were stabbed to death with a knife by another pony. So far we have recovered no evidence toward who the killer is. Police have studied this case to its end and have given up on it for lack of evidence.
'Mom... and dad... dead...' She thought as she began to cry. ' What's worse is the police just gave up. For 7 months now ponies have been found dead. It's practically all that's in the news now and every time the police give up on lack of evidence. There has to be some way to fix this world. 1st it was Moondancer, then Lyra and now my parents. I cant let any more of the ponies I love die because Princess Celestia refuses to do anything about it. I need to find a way'. "Spike I'm going for a walk." she said walking out of the front door then running through town until she got away. Then she lay down by a tree and proceeded to cry her eyes out.
Suddenly she saw something. It was falling. It was what looked to be a black notebook. It landed in front of her. Death Note was written on the cover. She levitated it over and opened it up to the 1st page:
-The pony whose name is written in this notebook will die.
-The note will not take effect unless the user has the subjects name in there mind. Therefore people sharing the same name will not be effected.
-The Death Note will never effect a victim there name has been misspelled 4 times.
-When the same name is written in two Death Notes the one that had the name written first will take effect regardless of the time of death.
-If the cause of death is written within 40 seconds of the name it will happen.
-If the cause of death is not specified the victim will simply die of a heart attack.
-If the time of death is specified within 40 seconds of the name it will happen.
-After writing the cause and time of death details of the death can be specified within six minutes and 40 seconds.
-You can write the cause and time of death before the name adding that at a maximum of 19 days(In the pony calender) later.
-Suicide is a perfectly valid cause of death as, while not likely, it is something some ponies will do and is not completely out of the question.
-The Death Note can only operate within 23 days(In the pony calender). This is called the 23 day rule.
'Is this for real? Or is it somepony trying to play a joke on me? I'll take it just in case' She thought and then proceeded to stuff it into her saddlebag. The then trotted off home. When she got in Spike passed her another newspaper clipping.
It read:
Shadow Slash
Has been found guilty of the murder of Twilight and Moonlight. He has been sentenced to 10 years in imprisonment in the castle in the Everfree Forest.
'Only 10 years? What? HE MURDERED 2 PONIES AND HE ONLY GOT 10 YEARS IMPRISONMENT? WHAT!?!?!?!?!' She screamed in her mind. She went upstairs and locked her bedroom door. She took out the Death Note.'If I were to...No! That would make me just as bad as him. Killing is wrong no matter what! Then again, this book is just a joke. There is no magic anywhere in Equestria that can kill. I can just use this thing to keep tabs on criminals that deserve death. That way I can talk to Princess Celestia at a later date and she may think about extending there sentence. I guess there's no harm in writing it down...'

She then put down the notebook and went to bed.
The next day Spike woke here up early and showed her yet another newspaper clipping. It read:
While being taken to the Everfree Forest castle last night, Shadow Slash died of what seems to be a heart attack. The cause of this is unknown and the police have no way of tracking this death. It is believed to be a coincidence, however unlikely that is.
'It worked? That thing is for real? What? No! I...I'm a murderer. I'm just as bad as he was now! But how? This is impossible!..What will I do I... wait. People like him deserve to die. If I only kill people who commit crimes then it isn't bad. They should be killed anyway. They don't deserve to let Equestria rot!... I know what I have to do. I have to use this notebook to cleanse this world of evil. Equestria will rot no more.'

"I think its about time I got going." Kira said to himself before sprouting his wings and dropping into the portal.

The next day Twilight hurried home after going about her daily routine."Hey Twilight. You want anything?" Spike asked as she rushed past.
"No thanks" She said running up to her room and locking the door."I've already got what I need." She whispered to herself levitating the Death Note out of a draw and placing it on her desk. Twilight proceeded to look through the list of the worst criminals that had been caught.

"Hahahahaha" Twilight chuckled to herself as she stared at the page. That was most of the major criminals that had had there names released to to the public. They were all dead. All of them. 'Soon people will know something or someone is killing these criminals. When that happens all crime will stop and this world will be pure again'.
"Well well I see you've taken quite a liking too it
"AAAAAGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!" Twilight said shooting magic at it. It had no effect.
"Don't bother. I'm a god, you cant hurt me. Anyway, That notebook of yours used to be mine. " It said."By the way, names Kira "
"So why are you here? Are you here to get your notebook back?" She asked
"No. I dropped here on purpose. Our realm is so boring. I thought I might as well have a little fun. And judging by what you've done with my notebook, I couldn't of made a better choice on who to give it too. After all you've taken such a liking to it you've already started killing pony in other regions such as Japony. "
"What do you mean?"
"Your exactly like I was as a mortal. Smart and have a strong sense of justice. In fact, you've gone and done the exact same thing I did when I had my death note. The only difference is I'm going to help you, unlike my shinigami, and you're going to succeed, unlike me. I would of succeeded too if it weren't for the mistakes of my helpers." He explained."Together we will free the world of evil and make it rot no more. We will become justice. "

Chapter 2
Kira explained the plan to Twilight very carefully. It took several hours and they worked out all the details, well all they could plan for previously anyway, and it was getting late. There was a knock on Twilights bedroom door. " Twilight? You in there?" she could hear spike ask from the other side of the door.
"Go ahead. Open the door. " Kira said to her as he gestured her over. She hid the Death Note before trotting over to the door. As she opened it she saw spike standing there carrying a packet of potato chips.
"Um...Pinkie pie stopped by and dropped these off. She had a party set up this evening and was so busy planning she had to mail out the invitations. Derpy misplaced half of them, your one included, so she stopped by to let you have some of the leftover party food." She explained passing her the bag.
"Thanks Spike" She said even though all she could think was 'How come Spike can't see Kira?'. After he had left she locked the door and went back to her conversation." How come he couldn't see you?" She asked generally confused at the whole situation.
"Only ponies who have touched the Death Note can see the shinigami. That's a useful thing to consider in the future. remember you're the Death Note holder, and I won't do anything unless you tell me too. If your in a tight situation your gonna have to ask for my help. I'm not going to just do whatever I can. That would be too easy. " Kira laughed.
"So baceicly, I'm the boss and you aren't going to do anything unless I tell you to and wont tell me anything unless I ask?" She questioned.
"Pretty much, although I will be helping you think of plans. I've been a Death Note user doing exactly what you're doing, so I know how to get out of situations. If you're I a tight situation I may suggest way to get out as you're the only on that can hear me. Also can you create a magical lock that can only be broken by the caster ?"
"Yeah I think I've seen a book around here with a spell like that in it." She replied.
"Good. Make a fake diary that you wouldn't want anyone seeing and also make a fake bottom for a draw. Keep the Death note in the bottom half and the fake diary in the top. Then use that magic lock on the draw. If anyone does manage to break it they will only find the diary which will satisfy any curiousness as to why it was locked in the 1st place. " Kira told her.
"I thought I was the boss?"
"I thought you wanted help. "
"Good point. I'll do it."
"Good. Can...I...have the potato chips? " Kira asked sheepishly
"Sure. I don't like that flavour much anyway." She answered as she startd looking at the shelves that had books to do with magic on them." Kira grabbed them and started to eat away.'Wow...I'm like Ryuk with his apples now...DON'T CARE! ' He thought just before starting to eat them faster.
A FEW DAYS LATER AT THE CANTERLOT CASTLE THRONE ROOM
"Order! Order!" Princess Celestia demanded to the large court of police and RSF, Royal Special Forces(Pony equivalent of FBI), "ORDER!!!" She screamed. Everypony stopped making noise." Thank you. Now will somepony please tell what this meeting was called about?" she asked. Micro Scope, the representative of the forensics department, stood up.
"Well princess, as I'm sure you are aware, over the past few days criminals have started to die from heart attacks. The group of ponies its effecting and the Similarities in the deaths have lead us to believe that something or somepony is causing these deaths. We can't keep on just saying there a coincidence like we did the 1st time." She explained.
"I suppose you are correct. We cant just let whatever this is continue like it has been. We need to find out what is doing this and stop it before we're too late."Princess Celestia said understandingly." I will take the necessary precautions to tackle his. Everyone is dismissed.".
PONYVILLE
"That's all of Equestrias major criminals dead." Twilight said to herself as she marvelled at the pages of names with Kira eating potato chips behind her."Be quiet will you" she demanded to him.
"No.I can eat my chips all I want. You cant stop me! " He said.
"I can stop buying them." She replied smugly.
"...Fine. I'll quieten down. " Kira said admiring defeat.
"Good now-"
"Twilight!" Spike shouted from downstairs cutting her off. She hopped out of bed and went downstairs leaving Kira to pig out on the bed.
"Yes Spike?" She asked as she opened the door.
"Look at this." He said passing her a newspaper.
The recent deaths of criminals are now being classified as murder. The police believe somepony is causing these deaths. There is a task force being set up in Ponyville as it is easy to get to and is at the centre of Equestria. It is open to the general public for anypony to join.
"I think you should join" Spike suggested.
"I'll think about it." She said before grabbing the newspaper in her magical grasp, turning around and going back inside her room. Once Spike was back where he couldn't hear her she turned to Kira and help up the newspaper.
"Ooh they figured it out faster than I thought. Allright the next step in the plan is to join the task force. " He said opening the next bag of potato chips.
"Why?"
"You can keep tabs on what they know and maybe try to steer them in the wrong direction. Also be very careful to lock your room when you leave with the same spell you used to the draw. That way people cant get in the check your room if you get under suspicion. Also, I wonder what name they will give the pony that's doing this so they can refer top him as that. It was Kira for me, which is why that's my name right now, but what will it be for you? " He thought out loud as they left the library and headed town hall.
Authors note:
Well can anyone give me any suggestions what the task force will refer to the killer as? I got nothing.
Also, Kira is transforming into Ryuk. Don't worry he wont be as goofy as he is made to seem in this chapter throughout the whole thing, he will be turning in and out from his dark evil smartass form later, don't you worry.
Death note equestria
Chapter 0
Light felt himself coming too. 'What?.. This isn't possible. I died of a heart attack. How am I waking up again?' He opened his eyes and was greeted by a grey sky. He climbed to his feet. He felt different. He saw a pool of water nearby. He walked over to it. " AGHH!" he screamed as he saw his reflection. He was a shinigami."What? How is this possible?"
"If a mortal death note user kills over 10'000 people with there death note, they are turned into a shinigami when they die." a voice spoke from behind him.
Light turned around and was met by a Shinigami 5 times the size of Rem and Ryuk had been." Who are you?"
" I am The Shinigami King. You have been turned into a shenigami and will now live eternally if you continue to kill, however you are forbidden to return to the human realm. From this point on you will be known as your killing enigma. Kira." The Shinigami King explained.
" Ok. That seems fair enough." Light, or rather Kira, said.
" Here is your death note. You are free to explore the shinigami realm as much as you like, but once you've seen one area you've seen it all. Begone" The Shinigami Kind said before sprouting his wings and flying off. Kira decided to do the same. After a while he figured out how to grow and shrink his wings at will he started to practice flying. It was pretty easy once he got the hang of it. Must of just been an instinct for his new body.
He flew around a bit and then he heard something underneath him. He flew down to see rocks falling down into the ground. After a while it finished, revealing a portal to a realm. Kira stared into it and saw that it was not in fact to the human realm. In fact the residence looked more like ponies.'Well...Might as well have some fun. After all, The Shinigami King only said no going to the human realm and this defiantly isn't that.' He thought before dropping his notebook in and sitting down to watch the madness unfold.
