Spike looked at the scepter with pure shock as he fully recognized it, at no point during the time he's been in this world did he ever think that he'd have this scepter in his claws again, especially when knowing that Malefor must've stolen it from the Dragon Lands.

He used this Scepter to prevent Garble from using the position of Dragon Lord to his advantage, and burning down Equestria because of his stupid pride, he saw ponies as weak and thought they should be the ones in charge, but with Ember's help, he was able to get the scepter first, and prevent a possible war happening because of him.

But he gave this position to Ember because he saw her as a more capable leader then him, but knowing that the scepter they worked so hard to make sure was in the right hands, being stolen and used by Deathstorm for as long as Spike and his friends were frozen, it made him more mad in ways he hasn't felt before..

"Spike, are you okay?" Spyro asked with worry while Spike clutched the scepter tightly.

"No, this.. this is something extremely important.. this scepter gives whoever holds it, the position of Dragon Lord in my world, I gave it to my friend Ember because I believed she could lead the dragon to a better future, but with this here, it only means one thing.." Spike said with anger as he couldn't believe what he's seeing in front of him.

"It.. means it was stolen from your home, just like that dragon who became Deathstorm was? Doesn't it son?" Cynder asked regretfully which Spike nodded in response from.

"If he stole it.. then this means.. he really did attack my home.. Deathstorm was already proof of that.. but.. this just tells me it.. he took so much away from my home, and my friends, and if he stole this to use for this war.. he.. will.. pay.." Spike said with anger as he clutched it even tighter which made the scepter respond from his presence, as he was the one who first held it before Ember became the Dragon Lord after all.

"Spike, you shouldn't let your anger get to you, I know it's completely awful for Malefor to take such a valuable item, but that doesn't mean you should give into your anger, we all know what will happen if you do." Spyro advised as Spike was in tears for knowing this.

"How could I not be angry?! Malefor's taken away so much of my home during the time we were frozen! If I had been there to do something, none of this would've happened! How can I protect this world, when I can't even protect my own either?! Don't you see what Malefor's been doing?! He's been using one of the most important objects in Dragon History from my world, as a weapon to use for his army! He must've taken this to humiliate them, to show them that they're inferior! I just... agh!!" Spike screamed as he shot a powerful fire blast into the air thanks to the scepter's increased power.

Spike felt absolute fury knowing what Malefor's done, he's done so much awful stuff during the time Spike's been here, and far before that, he's been the one responsible for all of this, for Cynder's suffering, Deathstorm's involvement, his home's destruction, and now, the theft of one of the most important objects within Equestria, the Bloodstone Scepter.

"Spike.. please calm down.. I know your really mad.. but we won't get anywhere if we stand here.. please son.." Cynder begged as Spike took heavy breaths and started to realize what just happened here.

"She's right Spike, I know you want to get back at Malefor, but rushing into things won't change anything. Besides you should look at this in a good way, you have that scepter with you now, and if you've held it before, maybe you can use any new powers it's gotten because of Malefor's influence?" Sparx suggested which made Spike realize it was true.

"Your.. right.. with the scepter in proper hands again.. we could use this to our advantage.. and once it's all over, we could try using it to find a way back to Equestria, so it can go to where it rightfully belongs.." Spike said with surprise as he looked at the scepter, and was finally calming down from realizing this.

"We'll make sure to find a way home to your friends, and to put the scepter in it's rightful place soon Spike. Do you think you can use this thing now that you have it?" Spyro asked as Spike held it tightly, and he could feel a large increase in power thanks to it.

"I.. think I can..." Spike said as he finally calmed down after processing all of this.

"They are retreating!" A mole above suddenly announced which got everyone's attention. Spike and the others dropped this talk for now and quickly headed back up to see what's going on, thankfully, it looked like Ignitus and the other guardians were finally here and were fighting off the monster's, and what's strange, is that they were running away.. like if it was a warning for something..

"Why are they retreating? They were close to taking the city?" Cynder asked with concern while Hunter thought over this.

"Maybe they're scared of the fact we just beat they're master's second in command and took one of they're most powerful weapons?" Sparx suggested as he hoped that was true.

"No.. this isn't right, something's wrong.." Spike said with concern as he prepared for anything bad that's about to happen.

"They're right.. something's wrong here.. but what?" Hunter questioned just as Spyro saw something worrying.

"Look! They're turning around!" Spyro shouted as they saw Ignitus and Cyril turning around upon seeing something important, and as they looked through the large wall of fire in front of them, they saw something huge emerge from it which made things worse.. The Golem..

The Golem roared with fury as it marched upon the city while the army of monster's fled back to the walls behind it, and it soon submerged itself within the earth below them and began making it's way to the city.

"It's trying to go under us!" Spike screamed as they saw it form cracks on the ground as it got closer to the gates below them.

"It's in the earth beneath us! All of you, run!" Cynder shouted to the soldiers in the center of the entrance as the Golem went under the gates and entered the city. The Golem burst out through the ground and caused even more destruction then before, it roared with rage as it slammed it's hand down on a stone wall.

And to make things worse, it used it's powerful magic to move a fallen citadel below it, and it used that to slowly reconstruct the arm it lost previously, and it soon reformed it's own arm made from the very rubble of the city itself which was even stronger then before.

Ignitus and the other guardians were finally here after trying to handle the destruction around them, and Ignitus got a plan on what they have to do.
"Cyril, the city is burning, see what you can do about it! Volteer, distract it's vision, and Terrador, follow me!" Ignitus instructed as all the guardians split up in order to do they're work.

Spike and everyone else was watching them try to hold off the monster, and Hunter knew it was too dangerous to fight back for them.
"Spyro, Cynder, Spike, go find shelter, leave us to handle this!" Hunter advised as he quickly ran off to deal with it which shocked them.

"What?! But we just made Deathstorm retreat! How could we not handle this thing now? I have the Bloodstone Scepter now! It could help us!" Spike argued as Hunter quickly ran off which made Spike groan in annoyance.

"Why won't he let us handle this? He knows we've faced things just as bad as this right?" Spike asked as he turned back to Cynder and Spyro.

"He may just be concerned for us after we had a tough fight with Deathstorm, but even then we can't do nothing about it!" Cynder replied as this couldn't be ignored.

"What?! Didn't you just hear him? He said for us to hide!" Sparx argued back as Spyro looked over the destruction, and decided what they need to do.

"We can't just sit here and do nothing! We have to stop it!" Spyro declared as they all looked at the massive Golem in front of them as it was too distracted with destroying the city to notice them.

"How are we gonna destroy it?" Spike asked as they looked around for a path to take.

"I got an idea, follow me!" Spyro ordered as he started running ahead and they had to follow because of they're magical chains.

Spike and Cynder followed Spyro as they made they're way across the destroyed city while the Golem was on a complete rampage, what once was a beautifully built and ancient looking city, was now nearly reduced to ruble in the result of this massive fight, all in the span of less then an hour too.

Spike hurried along with the others as they tried making they're way to face the Golem, Spike could feel the scepter's power in him now, he felt it once before, but never fully wanted to see what it possesses, now he'll have to use it to take down Malefor for good.

They were all running across the destroyed buildings in order to reach the Golem before it does anymore harm, and in that time, Cyril was finally able to spot them during his attempts at putting the fire's out, and he quickly flew down to help them down the right path.
"Cyril!" Spike said with relief as he saw him fly near them to help out.

"It's good to see you too, I'm relieved you are alright! But now isn't the time for talk! This way quickly!" Cyril advised as he shot some ice downwards another path which created an ice slide they could go down.

"Thank you! Stay clear of that monster! We'll handle it!" Spyro shouted as they all slide down it to reach another area while Cyril flew off to be safe, and they had made it just in time as the Golem's large tail had slammed against some more buildings and crushed the path they were just at before they reached the bottom which was a very close call.

"Whoo! Any more time there and we'd have been crushed!" Sparx said with surprise while Spike ran across the buildings and avoided some fire pits caused by this monster.

"We won't rest until we take that thing down! We're almost there!" Spike screamed again as they were coming up upon another wave of large monster's that were forged out of lava.

"We don't have time for these guys! We need to get around them!" Cynder said with annoyance as they were coming up close.

But as an answer to that problem, Volteer came flying down next after seeing them heading towards the hoard of enemy's, and wanted to help them push through it.
"I'll take care of those pests! Watch and learn!" Volteer announced as he flew above the group and swarmed over the enemy's, he took a deep breath and shot a powerful blast of lightning towards the hoard of monster's until they were all wiped out, which cleared a path forward for them.

"Great! We're close to it! We just need to find out how to get it's attention!" Spike said with hope as Volteer landed down near them and knew of a way to get forward.

"There's a passage to the end of the stairs ahead of you! Take it and it'll lead you to the tower leading to the other part of the city! Me and the other guardians will be heading there to keep the people safe!" Volteer instructed which they understood.

"Thanks Volteer, we'll be there as soon as we can!" Cynder replied as Volteer spread his again and took off at fast speeds to a nearby part of the city that could be seen in the distance.

"You heard the old man guys, let's hurry up!" Sparx announced again as they turned to the staircase which lead them to a very large tower that was still stable even after all this destruction.

Spike and everyone else ran inside it as they heard the Golem roar outside of it, and they saw a large spiral staircase leading to the top of the tower.

"Ugh, I hate stairs!" Spike said with anger as they were now making they're way above it as it was too high to fully fly around.

As they were making they're way up the tower, the entire place began to shake even more as they saw the Golem's new hand made out of a building grab onto it, it's other hand tore through any column's that were holding the parts of the floor together which was making it collapse.

"It's heading up the tower! We can't let it get any further!" Spyro informed again which made Spike role his eyes.

"What do you think we've been trying to do?! We'll meet it at the top and face it head on!" Spike declared as they kept on running as fast as they could.

But the Golem soon finally saw Spike and the others heading up the stairs to stop it, and it roared at them once more to take them down for good, The Golem raised it's other hand once again and slammed it through the building which everyone barely dodged, and it's hand got stuck in the building for a moment which exposed more of the dark crystals holding it together.

"This is our chance! Attack it now!" Spike screamed as he summoned his Earth weapon again and swung the ball around at fast speeds before he slammed it onto one of the crystals and shattered it easily, Cynder followed this up by using her own Shadow powers to unleash a powerful blast over it which took down another, and Spyro finished this by using his Lightning powers to finally push it out of the building.

The monster screeched once again as it felt more of it's body being damaged from their attacks, and it decided to keep on climbing up to try and get ahead of them.
"We're not letting it get away! Come on!" Spike shouted again as they started running up the walls that were collapsing around them, so much stuff was falling apart which they all used to their advantage to catch up with the creature.

Spike used his Fear whip to latch onto higher ledges and pull himself upwards while Cynder flew alongside him and barrel rolled away from more rubble falling on her, and Spyro used all his skill to hop across each falling platform so they could reach the top of the building.

As they were all making they're way up the building, Cynder noticed one of the crystals was near the monster's face, and as they were getting closer to it, they knew the right moment to attack.
"Guys! Aim for it's face now!" Cynder informed as they all ran closer to the monster as it was trying to climb up the tower, but Spike stopped it by summoning his Poison hammer again and he made a battle cry as he flipped in the air, and twirled around at fast speeds before he slammed it right against the monster's face.

This was able to break apart the next crystal on it which made dark energy pour out of it which made the monster scream with pain. And as this was happening, Terrador was flying directly towards it in order to do more damage to it.
"Look out!" Terrador screamed as he curled himself into a ball while the power of Earth flew around him, and he dashed towards the monster at fast speeds before it went flying directly through the back of it's head and and burst out of the front which did even more damage to it.

Terrador quickly recovered from his attack and soon flew away from the tower while the monster was getting even weaker which was slowing it down.
"It's almost down! Let's not slow down here!" Spyro screamed as they were flying towards the very top of the tower while the monster was getting even more furious from the damage it's been taking.

Spike felt his adrenaline rush through him as they kept making they're way away from the rubble and up the tower, it was one of the biggest fights Spike's been through in his life, and this will only be a small part of what will be they're final confrontation with Malefor.

The Bloodstone Scepter was glowing brightly as it gave Spike more power to take this monster down, and Spike felt his body getting stronger with each passing second. They climbed up the last flight of stairs as they were finally making it to the top of this tower finally, and it was the last thing that stood in between them, and the upper area of the city where all the people were hiding for shelter.

Spike and everyone else jumped up as they finally reached the top, they landed down swiftly as they stood ready to fight. And the large hands of the Golem soon emerged from below as it grabbed onto the remains of the buildings around them, and it soon fully showed itself as it stood against them to finish things for good.

Spike summoned his sword of fire once again as he stood by Spyro and Cynder who looked at the monster with anger, it made a very loud roar of fury at them as it raised it's large fist at them, and they all charged at the monster and was ready to fight.

Everyone quickly rolled out of the way of the next attack the Golem tried doing, and they took this moment to run up it's arm and head directly to the eye which was still weak from Hunter's last attack on it. Spike twirled his sword around again and screamed with anger as he jumped in the air and stabbed it right in the eye which made it screech even more.

The Golem flailed around rapidly which shook the three dragons off of it, but the damage was good enough to the point they could attack it head on.

Cynder was the next to charge at it, and she used her Poison powers on it's other arm to destroy the rest of the crystals on it, and Spyro followed that up by using his Earth powers once again, and he shot a powerful blast on it's upper body which made more of the dark energy power out of it which weakened it even more.

They all landed down near the ledge again as the monster was trying to recover from it's last attack, and they all saw there was a weak point at the very top of it's head which gave them a sign on what to do.
"Alright guys! Now!" Spike screamed as he ran towards Spyro who knelt down a bit, and Spike ran across his body and jumped across after Spyro gave him a boost, Spike spread his wings out and flew directly too it as he felt the magic tether him to the others, but Spike used that to pull Cynder towards him who charged up another blast of Fear, and he spun Spyro around in the air who created a whirlwind with his speed, and as an additional help, Ignitus flew in at the right time to help them finish this monster off which made this moment really strong. Ignitus breathed a large amount of fire into the whirlwind Spyro made and turned it into what could be a Fire tornado.

And Spike soon jumped into the air himself and twirled around as he fell directly down through the tornado and raised the Bloodstone Scepter at the monster to finish it for good.
"This fight is.. over!!" Spike screamed as he charged up all the power he stored within him and shot a powerful blast directly at the monster's head while Cynder shot her Fear powers at it too, this blast was so powerful, it went directly through it's head and went all the way down it's body, the Golem couldn't even roar one last time before it's body literally split in half, and it had completely exploded due to the overwhelming power, completely destroying it.

Spike and everyone else soon made it down to the bottom of the tower again after they finally destroyed the Golem, everyone was relieved that the city was saved, but even with this moment of victory, they all knew they couldn't rest now.

Spike, Cynder and Spyro had soon finally met up with Ignitus and the other guardians again after being separated from them for years, and it just felt great to see friendly faces again after all this fighting.
"Ignitus." Spyro greeted as they came up to him to talk about what's happened.

"Young dragons, you never cease to amaze me. It is a relief to see you are all alright." Ignitus greeted with a calm look while they looked down with regret for vanishing for 3 years.

"We're really sorry for vanishing like this Ignitus, things were just beyond our control, and we had to freeze ourselves in that crystal to avoid any more harm.. we're really sorry for all the chaos that's happened.." Spike apologized as he held the scepter in his hands and looked at it with guilt.

"It is okay young one, what matters is you, Spyro and Cynder are all alive, and it could finally lead us to stopping the Dark Master and Deathstorm for good." Ignitus assured as he looked at the scepter Spike had with interest while the others flew down too.

"I must say, is that the same scepter Deathstorm held during your battle? Why I've never seen anything like it!" Volteer said with fascination while Spike held it close.

"What is this thing Spike? You used it's power to destroy the Golem like how Deathstorm's used it before?" Cyril asked as Spike tried explaining what he knows about it.

"This is called the Bloodstone Scepter, it was stolen from the Dragon Lands, from Equestria. it was a special item that would declare who becomes the next leader of dragons after they take place in a competition, and whoever had it first, became the next leader of the dragons of Equestria. I managed to get it with the help of my friend Ember, and I gave it to her because I thought she would be the best to lead the dragons to a better future, but since it's here.. it really does mean that my home was attacked again.. and that so much of my kind was killed.. and.. my visions were true.." Spike said with tears as he remembered the horrific visions he had before the Eternal Night happened.

"Fascinating.. to think such an object holds such power, and yet you gave it to your friend because you believed she would lead the dragons of your world, that is truly honorable Spike." Terrador complimented while Spike looked directly at the scepter's gem at the top.

"It would make sense for Malefor to take such an item, if he were to have a dragon from Equestria tap into it's power, it would make things far harder for us to handle, and it was considering how much destruction has happened." Volteer added as he thought over why Malefor did this.

"I know what's happened with us has been really awful Spike, but now that we're all here again, we'll finally be able to put an end to Malefor, and hopefully we'll be able to save Deathstorm too." Spyro assured while he pated his back.

"You guys really think we'll be able to do it?" Spike asked with an unsure look as he thought over it.

"We've made it this far son, we'll keep fighting to the end, don't let your doubts hold you back, we saved the city, and we'll finally be able to put a stop to this." Cynder assured one last time while she rubbed his neck which made Spike smile hearing that.

"Thanks mom.. it's just so great to see you all again..." Spike said with relief as they looked at the guardians just as they noticed the magical locks stuck on them which tethered them together.

"Hmm... interesting, I've never seen a device like this.. Mason.. what do you make of this?" Ignitus asked another mole who came up to them to inspect it.

"Never have I seen such a thing.. it holds the mark of evil.." Mason said with concern as he touched it which only shocked his hand which made him back away from feeling it.

"Likely crafted by Malefor himself. I'm afraid we cannot remove it." Ignitus said with guilt which shocked them knowing this.

"What? There has to be a way to destroy it!" Cynder argued back while Spike sighed with annoyance knowing this.

"How can we fight against Malefor when we're like this? I know we took down that Golem just now, but how will we be able to stop him?" Spyro asked with concern while looking up at them.

"Spyro, Cynder, Spike, do not let these chains bother you, let them be a reminder of the bond you three share, your lives are all intertwined, especially with Cynder and Spike, and that thought, it a hopeful one." Ignitus advised as they look at eachother and know that this is how things are now, and they should accept it.

"At least I'll be able to stay close with my mother.." Spike said with a smile as he looked towards Cynder who was glad to hear that from him.

After that huge battle that day, everyone tried to settle down before discussing on how to defeat Malefor soon, he's still out there, and they need to put an end to him before he destroys the world. They all were making they're way through the city to find a place to rest.

"Momentum has swung to our side Ignitus, perhaps this will be a turning point in the war." Terrador suggested as this could be a good sign for all of them.

"I'd like to believe that." Ignitus said with hope as they kept moving through the streets, but through the remains of the Golem, a dark power emerged from it, and a dark crystal had come from the monster which showed a vision of the Dark Master himself, Malefor.

Spike growled with anger as he saw him through this crystal, and even through this crystal, he felt nothing but hatred seeing him after all he's done.
"Citizens of Warfang, congratulations, you shall be the first to witness the rebirth of the Destroyer.. and the end of the world!" Malefor greeted with a sinister voice which made Ignitus afraid.

"Malefor.." Ignitus said with fear and anger as they all felt the ground shake violently, and far off in the distance, they could see the volcano that's below Malefor's lair erupt violently, and from that power, came an enormous monster in which no one has seen before.

"What in Equestria's name?" Spike asked with horror as everyone went to a high point of the city to see what's happening, and they could only watch with horror as a ginormous monster emerged through the volcano to fulfill it's own task.

"By our ancestors... what is that?" Ignitus asked with horror as it was climbing out of the volcano.

"The Destroyer has commenced it's journey to form the ring of annihilation! At the end of the journey, the Belt of Fire will spread across this world, in a torrent of fire and ash! There will be no escape!" Malefor announced as they saw a horrible vision of the monster making it's way around the world, and once it reached back to the volcano, it would completely destroy anything that remains of this world.

Spike was completely furious with what Malefor's planning to do, and he turned to the crystal with a look of fury.
"You! Your the one who's been causing all of this! You attacked my home, tormented my mother and Deathstorm! You made them do things they were never supposed to! And you stole the Bloodstone Scepter from my home!! I swear on Celestia's name, I will make sure you pay for what you've done you monster!!" Spike screamed with anger as his eyes glowed red with fury which only made Malefor laugh in response.

"That's saying a lot from someone who was never even meant to be born! The reason you even exist is because of me! And when we meet, you child, I expect you to have a better attitude if you want to live.." Malefor said as the crystal faded away and Spike screamed with anger hearing this.

"Malefor!!" Spike screamed as he punched a nearby wall with pure rage which shocked everyone seeing it.

"Spike, calm down, don't let Malefor's words get through to you!" Spyro encouraged again while Spike was breathing heavily after hearing this from him.

"What is this creature Ignitus?" Spike asked as he turned to him who tried remembering what he knows.

"The Destroyer is a creature the ancients believed would bring about the birth of a new world.." Ignitus said with concern while Sparx didn't find that so bad.

"See? That doesn't sound so bad.." Sparx said nervously while everyone looked towards the monster.

"By issuing it's destruction.." Ignitus finished which made this even worse for them.

"Oh.." Sparx said with fear as Spike was trying to calm down from all that's happened today.

"The beast moves too quickly, we can't possibly catch up with it. To set out on pursuit of it would be useless." Terrador said as Ignitus came up with a plan to stop it.

"Then we shall stop it before it comes back, and intercept it before it completes it's circle. We must pass underground if we are to possess the elements of surprise. It is our only hope to get to the monster in time, without Malefor knowing that the city is left unguarded." Ignitus instructed which was a good plan to them.

"That sounds like it will work, we'll head out to stop it before the monster makes it back! Let's go!" Spike announced as they all headed towards a special gate that was kept extremely secure from the city.

"These tunnels were built as an exit for the city, not for going back in, they have to be opened from the inside." Mason said as they saw there was a small opening inside for them to use.

"Spyro, Cynder, Spike, we'll assemble the troops at the main gates, we're counting on you all to get them open." Terrador informed which they understood.

"But you must hurry, time is against us." Ignitus warned as they looked into the small opening with a serious look, Spike clutched the scepter tightly and prepared for anything that would be there, and he just hoped that they'd stop the Destroyer in time..

Hey guys hope you liked this! I hope I did this part with Warfang well even if it was in three parts, I just didn't want this part to drag out like how it felt like in the main game, I'll try and do one more interlude that shows how the Dragon Lands were attacked before the final act of the game which will be after the fight with the Destroyer. And I'll make sure everything's properly set up before the final fight against Malefor.

Also fun fact, the person who voiced Malefor in this game, was voiced by none other then Mark Hamill! I'm being honest with this, that is honestly a huge surprise I didn't see coming, but it's still really cool he played the villain in the game.

I just hope that this story has been good for all of you so far, and hope you look forward to the rest of it!
