Chapters Gallus wants to know Silverstreams crush
It was currently lunch break at Twilights Friendship school. Gallus was in the library studying. He felt embarrassed about studying and had decided to hide under a blanket so he could study without being seen.
While he was under the blanket, he heard his familiar friend voices of Silverstream, Sandbar, Yona, Ocellus and Smolder come over to near where he was. They didn’t know he was hiding under the blanket. Gallus was planning to come out and say hi, but then he stopped when he heard Smolder.
“Hey, who do you have a crush on Silverstream? The school prom is coming up in a few weeks, maybe you should ask some creature,” said Smolder to Silverstream. This caught Gallus’s attention. Silver stream was going to say who her crush was. Ever since he first met Silverstream when he first came to the school of Friendship, he had totally had a crush on her. He didn’t think it was him who she liked, but still he kind of wanted to know who it was just out of curiosity (and mild jealousy).
“That’s umm…not really your business,” she said sheepishly.
“Pleease Silverstream,” giving her the guilt trip begging look.
Even though Silverstream was usually full of energy and had perfect confidence, she actually seemed surprisingly shy now. She didn’t really want to, but she knew she could trust her friends.
“Uh, yeah sure, I’ll tell you,” she said.
“Cool, who is it?” Asked Sandbar.
“Gallus,” she carefully whispered to her friends.
Gallus, who was still hiding under the blankets, had heard her say she had a crush on someone but he didn’t hear her say it was him who she liked. Then he came out and said, “Who is it Silverstream?” His friends were shocked as they had not been expecting him to pop out from under a blanket like. They all looked like they had seen a ghost.
“Umm, how much of that did you hear?” Asked Ocellus awkwardly.
“I heard her say she has a crush on someone, but I didn’t hear her say who it was. She whispered it too quietly. So who is it?”
Silverstream felt like she was trapped in a cave now. She obviously couldn’t tell him who it was.
“I…I…can’t say it,” she said.
“But you just told everyone else in the friend group.”
“Yes but unfortunately I can’t tell you though.”
Gallus looked very unhappy now, like someone had just called him fat.
“Uhh, why not?” He asked in a mildly fierce tone.
Silverstream tried to talk her way out of it, but she couldn’t think of a very creative excuse to not tell him.
“Because…I’m not sure I trust you,” she said again. Now Gallus looked very, very angry.
“So you…you trust everyone else in the friend group except me?” He said. All his friends looked at each other sheepishly. They couldn’t think of a reason not to tell him. All they could do was try to talk him down.
“Don’t take it personally Gallus,” said Smolder. Now Gallus was as furious as he could get.
“SERIOUSLY?!! YOU EXPECT ME NOT TO TAKE THIS PERSONALLY!!” He screamed, which grabbed the attention of everyone else in the school library. He chuckled a bit as he saw everyone looking at him.
“Uhh this is a personal conversation everyone, creatures don’t get in on this,” said Yona. Then Gallus continued arguing with his friends.
“So all of you know who Silverstreams crush is, but I don’t get to know.”
“Gallus please just get over it, it’s not a big deal,” said Ocellus, who was pretending to look grumpy and pretending to think Gallus was overreacting.
“No. This is not fair at all. Seriously you call yourselves my friends.” Gallus looked very offended and was tearing up a bit. “And if you guys are going to treat me like this THEN YOU CAN ALL GO FUCK YOURSELVE’S!” And this once again caught the whole library’s attention and they all watched Gallus storm out of the library.
“Oh god what have I done. I’ve seriously fucked up this time,” said Silverstream, beginning to cry a bit.
“Why did you have to tell us Silverstream? Now we all have to keep this a secret from Gallus and he thinks we’re singling him out,” said Smolder.
“But Smolder you’re the one who asked her in the first place,” said Sandbar.
“That’s only because I didn’t know it was someone in our close friend circle. Why couldn’t you have just refused to tell us?”
“Oh for fuck sake Smolder, will you just stop blaming her and admit this is your fault!”
“Okay, I’m sorry.” She said and then turned to everyone. “Look guys how are we supposed to keep this a secret from Gallus, he’s going to be fucking impossible now. Surely we’ll have to tell him eventually or he’s just going to keep being pissed off at us. Knowing Gallus he’s not just going to get over something like this, we know he’s very prone to holding grudges,” she continued.
Silver stream let out a sigh. “Okay, can I just have maybe a couple of weeks to let this sink in.”
“Uhh, okay,” said Smolder grumpily.
“Well Silverstream, maybe he likes you as well, so maybe you SHOULD ask him,” said Sandbar.
“Yeah it’s worth a try,” said Ocellus.
“It’s just that he’s like a close friend of mine, so if he says no, we’ll still probably remain friends for the rest of our lives and it’ll be so awkward,” said Silverstream. “Just…I’ll think about it.”
Gallus wants to know Silverstreams crush
Later that night, Gallus was at a restaurant with someone else. He was still very angry about what happened earlier.
“Like seriously am I some kind of a fucking joke to my friends or something?! I mean Silverstream was happy tell everyone else who her crush was but decided to draw the line with me,” he said. He was having pizza and red wine for his dinner.
“And then fricking Smolder told me to not take it personally, like seriously, she told me it was nothing personal. Seriously how would it make you feel if you were in my situation?” We then see that the person he is talking to is Spike, who was also having pizza.
“Yeah, that would make me feel awful,” said Spike, looking at Gallus rather sadly.
“Seriously, why do my friends think they can just treat me like this, it’s not fair. I mean what’s next? Is Silverstream going to go on a cruise and invite all our friends except me?”
Then Spike had an idea all of a sudden.
“Didn’t you say that you had a crush on Silverstream?” Said Spike.
“Yeah, and?”
“Well maybe you’re her crush too, and maybe that’s why she won’t tell you.” Spike was obviously correct, but Gallus had a doubtful look on his face.
“But, last week she said I’m like a brother to her. You wouldn’t normally say that to someone you have a crush on,” said Gallus.
“Wait really?”
“Yeah she did.”
Spike seemed a bit puzzled and asked.
“If you don’t think it’s you she likes, then why do you want to know who it is she likes so badly?” Asked Spike
“Well sort of out of jealousy I guess, but I’m not going to do anything bad to him I just want to know who it is. And also because she’s told all my other friends but not me. So it kind of makes me feel bad.”
“You know, maybe I can talk to them about it,” said Spike.
“Well, thanks but are you sure that’s a good idea?”
“Well it’s just, maybe there’s a reason they’re not telling you,” said Spike. Gallus somewhat reluctantly agreed.
“Okay,” said Gallus.
“You stay out here for a while and I’ll go speak to them.”
“Okay I’ll see you later.”
Spike went over to the school of friendship. He didn’t usually go there since he wasn’t a student there, so he had to first ask Twilight for permission.
“Hey Twilight, is it okay if I just go speak to like Silverstream and those kids about something?” He asked. Twilight looked puzzled.
“What is it about Spike, like why does it have to be right now? It’s 8pm, so couldn’t it wait till tomorrow?”
“Well it’s just, they’re sort of excluding Gallus and not being very nice to him, and I want to ask them why.”
“Really? That isn’t very nice, well yeah you can go and ask them. Anyways, I am going home now so I’ll see you back there,” she said.
“Okay thanks Twi, see you either later or tomorrow,” he said and then went over to Silverstreams bedroom. He didn’t know for sure if it was Silverstreams bedroom for sure, so he carefully listened at the door.
He did in fact hear Silverstreams voice along with Ocellus, Sandbar and Smolder. He was about to knock on the door but…
“So guys, I did tell you earlier how I have a crush on Gallus, so, maybe you could tell me yours?” Said Silverstream. Spike heard her say this and realised he was right all along.
“I knew it! I better go tell Gallus,” he whispered to himself.
He was going to leave, but he decided to listen for just a bit longer, because he knew the others were going to say their crushes too.
“So who’s going first?” Said Smolder.
“Well you guys know it’s Yona for me because me and her are already dating,” said Sandbar.
“What about you, Smolder? Who’s yours?” Said Silverstream.
“I want you guys to guess first. Also just one clue, it’s a pony, not a dragon,” said Smolder.
“Really? You have a crush on a pony?” Asked Silverstream curiously.
“Yeah, but like doesn’t spike also have a crush on Rarity?” Asked Smolder. Spike obviously heard this and cringed over it.
“Oh yeah, I forgot about that,” said Silverstream.
“You guess who it is Silverstream,” said Smolder.
“Okay, uhh, is it Shining Armor?”
“Nah, sorry. Good guess, but no. Now you guess Ocellus,” she said again.
“Okay, umm,” said Ocellus, and then paused to think for a minute.
“Is it Sunburst?” She asked.
“Uh yes, it is him.”
“Wait seriously!? Did I actually get it right?!” Ocellus asked very surprised.
“Yeah, you actually did,” said Smolder.
Then all of a sudden, Spikes phone started ringing right outside the door. Everyone in the room heard it.
“Hey is someone spying on us?!” Said Smolder Spike jolted and instantly flew off. Smolder came outside to see who it was, but Spike had flown off by the time she opened the door.
When Spike got outside he went and hid behind a tree. He then looked at his phone, and saw it was Gallus calling him. He answered.
“Hey Gallus, I just heard Silverstream say she has a crush on you.” We then see Gallus is still at the restaurant.
“You’re joking right?” He says.
“No I was listening at the door and I heard her say it to her friends.”
Gallus looked extremely confused.
“But she said I’m like her brother, if she thought really I was attractive then why would she say that to me?” Said Gallus.
“Well I don’t know. By saying that maybe she just meant she feels really close to you. I mean I probably wouldn’t say to Rarity that she’s like a sister to me, but come on you know what Silverstream’s like.”
“Oh really, I feel bad now.”
“About what?”
“Because I got really angry at them for not telling me, and said mean things about them to you behind their back. But now I understand why they didn’t tell me.”
“Oh cheer up Gallus, I’m sure they won’t stay mad at you.”
Just then, Smolder flew past the tree, presumably looking for whoever it was who was spying on them (obviously unaware it was Spike).
“WHERE ARE YOU MOTHERFUCKER?!!” Screamed Smolder, who looked extremely angry.
“Gotta go, bye,” said Spike to Gallus and then quickly hung up before Smolder saw him.
“Hey did you see anyone come running out of the school?” Asked Smolder to Spike. She was so angry she was speaking with her teeth clenched shut.
“Uh, no why’d you ask that?”
“Well some creature, was spying on us while we were having a private conversation,” she said, and boy did she look furious. Spike began to quiver inside.
“Do you have any idea who it was?”
“No, they ran off before we saw them, all we know is that they were standing outside our door, then their phone went off and they ran away.”
“Yeah sorry I don’t know. Anyways I’ve got to go meet up with Gallus.”
“Okay, see ya. Hey when you see him can just…uh…never mind, I’ll see you later.” She was going to ask about Gallus being mad at them, but then changed her mind at the last second.
Spike felt a massive sense of relief as she flew away. He was absolutely petrified over how angry she looked. Then he also went back inside to wait for Gallus to get back.
Gallus arrived back at the school of friendship later on. He still wasn’t quite sure how to approach Silverstream. Instead he just went into his room and lay down on his bed for a bit.
After a few minutes of lying down he heard a knock on the door. “Who is it?” He asked.
“It’s uh, Spike.”
“Okay.” He then opened the door for him to enter.
“We better speak quietly cause we never know who’s listening,” said Spike.
“Okay then. So you say you heard Silverstream say she likes me.”
“Yes. I was going to their room to ask them why they were excluding you, but I then heard Silverstream say it, so that pretty much answered my question.”
“Wow, I can’t believe it,” said Gallus, and he looked surprisingly happy.
“But you can’t tell her I told you, in fact you can’t tell her you know she likes you.”
“Oh, why.”
“Because they know they were being spied on, so if you tell her you know, they’ll just assume it was you spying on them. And I’m telling you man, Smolder was furious when she found out they were being spied on. Like seriously, I’ve never seen her so angry in my life.”
“Oh dear, but she didn’t know it was you right?”
“If she did, I’d probably be dead.”
Gallus thought of a naughty idea, “I know, I’ll guilt trip her into telling me. I could maybe act like I’m still upset, and then she’ll feel she has to tell me.”
Spike didn’t seem so sure about this, “Are you sure that’s a good idea Gallus?” Asked Spike.
“Yeah, why wouldn’t it be?”
“Okay. Also, I heard Smolder say she has a crush on Sunburst.”
“Really?”
“Yeah I know right. I never would have picked him as her crush,” continued Spike. “Anyways I gotta go now. Remember, don’t tell anyone I was spying on them.”
“Okay. See you tomorrow.”
“Bye.”
Gallus wants to know Silverstreams crush
Then next morning, Gallus went into the cafeteria and saw his friends having breakfast. He had already thought of a plan to get her to confess, so he went over.
“Oh hey Gally,” said Sandbar. Him and his friends were still looking a bit guilty for not telling him.
“Hey guys,” said Gallus, “Look I’m sorry I got really mad at you guys yesterday, I just, you know, felt a bit embarrassed and left out,” his apology was somewhat genuine but also fairly superficial at the same time.
“It’s okay, look guys shouldn’t we just tell him?” Said Smolder.
“We can’t!” Snapped Sandbar suddenly, “I mean maybe we can eventually but not today.”
But then Gallus says, “Oh no it’s fine guys, you don’t have to tell me if it makes you uncomfortable.”
“Aww really?” Said Yona.
“Yeah it’s fine, it’s just, there is still something else I’m a bit upset about,” said Gallus pretending to look sad.
“What Gallus upset about?” Said Yona again.
“It’s just…the school prom is coming up in a few weeks. And, well, I have no special some creature. And I can’t just go alone,” said Gallus.
“Why are you so sad about it?” Said Ocellus.
“Well I just wish I could go with someone, someone who had feelings for me, but unfortunately I don’t think any creature does have a crush on me,” said Gallus who was obviously lying and pretending to look sad.
“Ohh, don’t worry Gallus, I’m sure there’s some creature there for you. Sometimes you just have to be patient when it comes to stuff like this,” said Sandbar.
“Hey Gallus, there’s uhh…something I have to…tell you,” said Silverstream awkwardly.
“Omg this is it. She’s going to confess to me!” Said Gallus excitedly to himself in his head, “Yeah sure what is it Silverstream?” He said out loud.
“I…uhh…I…….Umm,” she said. She was trying to say it but nothing would come out.
“Go on you can say it.”
“I…uh…I think you did a good job on your project last week!” She said sheepishly. Obviously that wasn’t what she really wanted to say. But what she really wanted to say wouldn’t come out.
It also wasn’t what Gallus was expecting, so he was secretly disappointed, so he just said, “Oh, well, thank you,” and Silverstream just gave him a nervous smile. “I’m just going to the bathroom I’ll be back in a sec,” said Gallus.
“Okay.” And then as he walked off, Smolder got a bit annoyed at Silverstream.
“Why’d you have to blow it Silver? That was your chance,” said Smolder.
“I’m sorry. I tried to, it just didn’t come out right.”
Then Smolder saw Spike in the distance. “Hey Spike.”
“Yeah.”
“Could you maybe just come over here for a second?”
“Okay,” he said and then came over. “What can I do to help?”
“Remember how last night some creature was spying on us.”
Spike was still trying hard to not act suspicious since it was him. “Uh yeah,” he said.
“Well we were wondering if you could maybe help us with your detective skills to help us figure out who it was,” said Sandbar.
This was Spike’s worst nightmare, he was now going to have to pretend to investigate to cover up that it was him who did it. Obviously Smolder can never know because goodness knows what she’d do to him.
Spike tried to make an excuse, “Um, I’m sorry, but I’m really busy today, I need to help Twilight out with something.
“Oh yeah that’s okay,” said Smolder. “It doesn’t have to be today, it could be any time later this week.”
Spike really wanted to just slap his face right now. Then Gallus came back. “Everything alright?” He says.
“Yeah uh, we forgot to tell you Gallus, last night some creature was spying on us while we were talking about our crushes in our room,” said Smolder.
“Oh dear. Did you say who your crush was?”
“Unfortunately yeah,” said disappointed Smolder.
“Okay well don’t worry Smolder I’m sure Sunburst won’t find out you like him.”
“Yeah I suppose, and, wait a second?” Then Smolder gives him a sinister look. “How did you know it was Sunburst?”
Gallus now realised how big of a mistake he’d made. “Uh, lucky guess.”
“OMG OF COURSE! HOW COULD I HAVE NOT FIGURED OUT IT WAS YOU SPYING ON US!!! THAT EXPLAINS WHY YOU STOPPED BEING MAD AT US!”
“No. It wasn’t Gallus it was me,” said Spike, “And then I went and told him.”
Gallus knew it was obviously Spike, but he didn’t want Spike to get blamed for it since Gallus was the one who stupidly blurted out Smolder having a crush on Sunburst, so he decided to take the blame for it. “No it really was me. Spike’s just selling himself out to save me from getting in trouble. You don’t have to do that Spike, I should own up to my mistakes.”
“But, it was me.”
“Spike,” said Smolder, “Don’t sell yourself out to save him because we know that it was obviously Gallus who was spying on us.”
Meanwhile Silverstream was sneaking away feeling embarrassed that Gallus obviously knew now.
“Gallus, I’m very, very angry at for spying on us like that. You just couldn’t help yourself you,” said Smolder.
“Guys I’m sorry, I didn’t know it was me that Silverstream liked, so I didn’t understand why you guys weren’t telling me. Where is Silverstream anyway?”
“Probably ran off feeling humiliated. Now Gallus, since you were the one spying on us last night and know who our crushes are, I think you ought to tell us who your crush is now.”
“I actually do like Silverstream,” he said.
Smolder now had a mild look of surprise on her face. “You do?” She asked.
“Yeah.”
“Then why didn’t you just tell her as soon as you saw her this morning that you knew she liked you and you liked her as well?”
“Because then you guys would have figured out it was me spying on you. I mean you did anyway, but I didn’t intend for that to happen.”
“Well Gallus, you can’t just go around spying on your friends like that,” said Ocellus.
“I’m sorry. I promise I won’t do it again. Is there anything I can do to make up for it?”
Smolder did look unhappy about it but shrugged it off. “Don’t worry about it,” she said.
“Hopefully Silverstream hasn’t ghosted us, I mean she literally just snuck away and now we have no idea where she is. I better go find her and talk to her about it,” said Gallus.
“Well she can’t avoid us forever I mean we go to the same school as her.”
“That is unless she leaves the school,” said Sandbar.
Smolder actually looked a little concerned now. “Heh, I’m sure she won’t just leave the school because of this.”
“Yeah, of course she won’t, what was I thinking.”
“It’s strange because I’ve never seen Silverstream feeling so shy before,” said Sandbar. “Like usually she’s extremely hyper, full of energy and not shy at all.”
“Yeah, I suppose you’re right there,” said Gallus. “I’m going to go look for her.”
“Okay, bye.”
Gallus went over to the library as that’s where Silverstream usually was in the morning. He was keen to find her, and he looked through every section of the library. But no matter how much of the library he searched, he couldn’t find her anywhere.
Then the school bell went off which meant that now he had to get to class. “Goddamnit!” He said angrily.
Gallus wants to know Silverstreams crush
Silverstream hides from her friends.
Later that day after class at around 5pm, he went over to Silverstreams room. Even though he knew she liked him back, he still felt a bit shy about it himself, since he had never confessed his feelings to a girl. Still though, he felt excited about it. He had no idea for ages that Silverstream liked him, and now that he had found out she did, he felt so happy inside.
Gallus had never known someone who had feelings for him, and someone like Silverstream wanting him, it made him feel special.
He had not interacted with Silverstream at all today. He did have one class with her earlier, but she sat on literally the opposite end of class from where he was, and she probably knew he was there, but she hadn’t dared look at him.
He wanted to go sit next to her, so he asked Applejack if he could move next to her, but she said, “Sorry Gallus, you’ve already chosen your seat, you’re going to have to sit there.”
He wanted to get up and talk to her, but he wasn’t allowed to just get up in class to talk to another student.
He called out to her multiple times, but she wouldn’t respond to or look at him. He could tell she could hear him because she was beginning to look nervous.
Lastly he tried to talk to her when class finished, but she got out too quickly and he failed to get to her.
He then went up to Silverstream’s room and knocked on her door. “Who is it?” Said Silverstream.
“It’s Gallus,” he said. But then Silverstream went dead silent and didn’t say anything. Gallus was now getting a bit impatient and eager for her attention. “Silver I know you’re in there, I heard you say who is it.” And yet she didn’t respond as she was too scared to talk to him.
Gallus then stormed off down the hallway. Her lack of confidence was starting to piss him off quite a bit. “Why won’t she just talk to me for fuck sake!”
He then bumped into Ocellus, who was walking down the hall as well. “Oh hi Gallus,” she said, “Did you find Silverstream?”
“She’s in her room, but she’s being a pussy and won’t talk to me.”
Ocellus looked disappointed, “Really? That’s annoying. Didn’t you have English with her before lunch today though?” She asked.
“Yes but she sat on the other end of class and wouldn’t even look at me. Have you seen her at all today?”
“No, it’s like she’s just ghosted us.”
Gallus was honestly starting to worry about Silverstream. “Do you think you could come help me with something on my English assignment? It should only take a few minutes.”
“Sure Gallus. I unfortunately have a counselling appointment with Trixie in about 15 minutes, but I can come help you with it when I’m finished. I should be finished by 7.”
“Thanks Ocellus.”
Later on Gallus was in his room waiting for Ocellus. He was still feeling a bit sad that Silverstream was avoiding him, if only she knew how much she meant to him.
Then Gallus heard Ocellus knock on the door, meaning she had now presumably finished her appointment.
“Coming,” said Gallus as he went to open the door for Ocellus. As he was opening the door he said, “Thanks Ocellus, I really appreciate your…” only to find it was actually Silverstream, looking at him nervously.
“Hi…Gallus,” she said very shyly.
Gallus had not been expecting this. He spoke in a flirtatious tone, “Hello there beautiful, I’m glad to see you’ve finally come to see me. Why have you been avoiding me all day?”
Silverstream looked at him with a bit of remorse “Do you really like me Gallus?”
“Yeah, course I do, I tried to get your attention in class today, but you wouldn’t respond to me.”
Silverstream sighs, “I’m sorry Gallus, it’s just, I’ve never had a boyfriend before and I’m just a bit nervous about it. Like this all happened ever so suddenly, they asked me my crush was literally last night and now you already know it’s you. I guess I just needed some time to let it sink in.”
“I understand Silverstream. We don’t have to go into a full on relationship now if you don’t feel ready for it. I must admit I’d rather take things as slowly as we can. I don’t want to get into anything too soon. But whenever me and you hang out, it’s always with all our other friends, and, it’d be nice if we could like spend time alone, just you and me.”
“Yeah, I’d love to,” she said. Silverstream was now feeling like her old excited self again. “Just asking though, are our friends mad at me for avoiding them?”
“No of course they’re not, they understood why.”
“That’s good, I’ll apologise to them later,” she said again. Then she spoke to Gallus in a mildly flirtatious tone, “But, I think it can wait until later. Maybe now for the first time ever we really can have some alone time.”
“There’s just one problem with that Silverstream.”
“Oh, what is it?”
“Ocellus is coming over soon to help me with my English assignment.”
“Oh, well maybe I can help you with that.”
Gallus looked at Silverstream a bit awkwardly, unsure whether to decide or not, but then Gallus heard his phone go off. He saw that he had got a text message from Ocellus saying, “Hey Gallus, very sorry, I have to go help Thorax out with something back at the changeling hive. Real sorry, but we’ll have to wait until tomorrow morning before I can help you.”
“Oh never mind,” said Gallus to Silverstream. “Ocellus just texted me saying she’s not going to make it.”
“Oh that’s good, well, do you want me to help you with your assignment?” She said.
Gallus looked at her in an adoring way, “Yes please Silverstream. I’ll text Ocellus saying I’m getting from with you.”
Then Silverstream came into Gallus’ room with him. “Your room smells nice Gallus.”
“Oh, thanks,” said Gallus who was looking a bit shy and blushing a bit.
Then all of a sudden they hear Sandbar knocking at the door. “Hey Gallus are you in there? I can’t get in because I gave my key to you earlier and I forgot to ask for it back,” said Sandbar. Gallus and Silverstream kept their mouths dead shut. “Huh, maybe he’s not in there,” said Sandbar to himself and then walked off.
“Phew, that that was a close one,” said Gallus. “Thank god I forgot to give his key back to him.”
“Yeah, do you think Sandbar will be okay though?” She asked.
“He’ll be fine, it’s only 7 o’clock. He doesn’t go to bed until like midnight.”
“Okay. So you want help with your assignment?”
“I think it can wait a bit. Why don’t we just, I don’t know, snuggle up in bed for a bit?”
Silverstream smiled at him, “That’d be nice.” And she slowly crawled under his blankets with him.
