"Alright, today we will be learning times tables class." Cherilee said cheerfully. Most of the class groaned, Daniel just sat back. Cherilee handed back worksheets, and pencils. "You may begin." Daniel looked at his paper, and shrugged, he learned what times tables were the day before. He began writing.

2x2, 4

3x8, 24

5x10, 50

It was going to be a long day.

About two hours later Cherilee called lunch break. Most kids went outside to the picnic tables, and Cherilee closed the door. She turned around, and stratled herself when she saw Daniel still in his desk, working on his assignment. "Uh, Daniel, it's time to eat lunch." cherilee said. Daniel looked up, and nodded.

"Alright." He opened his pack and took out some dried venicin, an apple, and a couple of carrots, he ate them quickly, then got back to work. Cherilee watched with curiosity.

"Daniel, you have to go outside, and play." Cherilee said.

"Look Boss, I just have two more questions on this assignment, then I'll go outside." Daniel said without looking up. Cherilee sighed. she trotted over beside Daniel.

"Daniel, why are you working so hard?" Cherilee asked, and sat in a desk next to his, and slid it against his.

"So I can learn." Daniel said.

"Why do you want to learn so bad?" Cherilee questioned.

"Because back where I came from, school was hard to come by with out getting in trouble with somebody. I want to learn as much as I can before I get kicked out of this school for some reason as well." Daniel replied. Cherilee's eyes widened.

"Why were you kicked out of your previous school?" Cherilee asked.

"Late for classes, truency, and low grades." Daniel said simply. Cherilee nodded, processing the information.

"Do you want to talk about it?" Cherilee finally said, just as Daniel finished the last question on the math assignment, problem 57, the assignment was due in four days.

"Not much to talk about, teachers tend to not like me, because I'm usually a screw up. Back where I came from, nobody really cared about who I was, when they turned my way, they saw nothing more than a screw up. I don't really know why I'm telling you this though." Daniel said, shaking his head at the memories.

"Wow, didn't your teachers ever try to help with the assignments?" Cherilee asked, Daniel shook his head.

"Nope."

"Well, I will help you in any way I can." Cherilee said.

"Well, I don't really need help at the moment, if I have to do multiplication and things like that, I'll be fine." Daniel said, chuckling softly.

"Well, if you ever need anything, just ask." She said giving him an encourging smile. Daniel nodded.

"Thanks Boss." Daniel got up and went outside, Cherilee looked at the paper. All of the answers were correct.
