Backwards to Forwards (featuring Pinkie Pie, Applejack, Rainbow Dash and Apple Bloom)

It’s another April Fools’ Day at the Pie family house and Pinkie Pie is having Apple Bloom, Applejack and Rainbow Dash over for a day of mayhem. First, Pinkie gives Rainbow Dash an innocent looking cookie.

"Well, thanks, Pinkie. I’m always up for a snack.” Rainbow replied, taking a bite of it. It was just at that moment when she tasted something suspicious and spit it out. She was disgusted but her mouth smells better. “Pinkie! What’s in that?!”

“Toothpaste, silly. April Fools!” Pinkie answered, laughing.

“You sure got me.” Rainbow said, laughing but feeling annoyed. Pinkie then tells Applejack and her sister that there’s a rodeo going on. Just when they all got there, it was obvious that there are no rodeo after all.

“April fools!” Pinkie Pie yelled out in happiness, with the others noticing that she’s going way too far with her pranks.

“Uh, Pinkie. Ah think ya may have gone a little too far with yer pranks.” Applejack said, sternly.

“What did I do?” Pinkie asked, confused as to why her friends are upset.

“Well, you should know that sometimes, pranks and practical jokes can be fun. They can get a little mean.” Rainbow explained with Pinkie frowning in shame.

“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to hurt your feelings.” Pinkie apologized sadly.

“It’s alright, Sugarcube. I know what'll make you feel better: let’s go to Dragon Land to see what our dragon friends are up to.” Applejack requested with everyone nodding yes in agreement.

Sometime later, they all went back to Pinkie’s house, puts their dragon badges on, opened the closet in her room and they all held the magic dragon scale together and they recited the code rhyme. “I wish, I wish, with all my heart, to fly with dragons in a land apart.” they said in unison as the wallpaper dragons spin around them in a tornado and off they went!

In Dragon Land near the Stickleback Mountains, the dragons are playing leap dragon.

“One leap dragon!” Cassie exclaims as she leaps and flies to the front of the line.

“Two leap dragons!” Zak and Wheezie leap and fly into the air and do a somersault before they hit the ground hard.

“Three leap dragon!” Ord leaps and flies into the air while looping when suddenly Applejack, Apple Bloom, Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash appear right where Ord is supposed to land. “Howdy, yall!” Applejack greeted.

“LOOK OUT BELOW!!!!” Ord warns as he falls out of the sky and thuds on his bottom. Thankfully they all moved out of the way just in time. “What are you all playing?” Apple Bloom asked, curious about what they are doing.

“Leap Dragon!” Zak replied as he and Wheezie got up and stumbled. Pinkie Pie giggles seeing that.

“Wanna play?” Cassie requested, for which the girls all said “sure” in unison. Just like that, they all line up and are ready to play Leap Dragon.

“Ready?” Ord asked.

“Ready!” Apple Bloom answered before Ord leaps, flies into the air and he lands at the front. “Whoa!” she exclaimed, looking at the big line behind her. She has to leap over them somehow.

“Your turn now, Apple Bloom!” Ord signals as Apple Bloom backs up.

“Look out everyone!” Apple Bloom runs and jumps to the front of the line. But she wasn’t leaping over any of them; the way the others wanted to play.

“Hey!! You're not doing it right. You're supposed to leap over us!” Zak spoke, clearly pointing out Apple Bloom’s mistake. “Come on, Zaky, Let's show him!”

Wheezie replied as they back up and leap and fly into the air over them. They land at the front and turn around. What they didn’t realize is that their tail knocked a rock away as it ended up on a little trip which had it flying toward a strange arrow post with a golden dragon sign at the top. The rock bumps into the sign, making it face the other way and it releases magic sparkles which shower all over Dragon Land. The sparkles shower down on the Doodle Fairy, who suddenly starts flying in reverse with no control. Just when Rainbow Dash is up, the sparkles shower down on the gang.

“Ooh!! Sparkles.” Cassie exclaimed, adored by the magic shower.

Rainbow Dash runs and leaps over Ord, when she suddenly stops in mid-air and unexpectedly flies backwards the other way. “WHOAAAAAAA!!!!” Rainbow Dash yelled as she landed in a pile of leaves behind her. “What happened?”

Ord flew into the air, but he only flew backwards. He lands on a mushroom next to Rainbow.

“Wow, this sure is trippy!” Rainbow Dash spoke, trying to take in what went on with her and Ord.

“Yeah, you’re telling me.” Ord agreed, just as Cassie tries to walk. Unfortunately, she too only went backwards.

“You're supposed to leap dragon, like this!” Zak exclaimed as he and Wheezie also flew backwards and screamed until they landed in a mud puddle.

“Ooh. Opposite day!” Pinkie Pie laughs, seeing everything going in reverse, including herself.

“What's happening?” Apple Bloom wondered, shocked by what’s been going wrong with direction.

“I don't know. Now everybody seems to be going backwards!” Cassie explained, also confused by the sudden change in direction. Zak and Wheezie come out of the mud and run backwards while Wheezie laughs.

“Slow down!!!” Zak warned, getting really overwhelmed by the moving and confusion.

“Why?! It's so much fun!!!” Wheezie yelled out in a ditzy manner as she made them hop backwards more before laughing and snorting hysterically. They suddenly see that the river is flowing the wrong way and the waterfall is flowing up instead of down.

“Doesn’t anyone else think we should figure out why we keep going in the wrong direction?” Apple Bloom asks.

“You’re right, sis. Things are all mixed up, now!” Applejack replied.

“Maybe Quetzal knows what’s causing this. Come on!” Rainbow Dash said as she ponies up, Apple Bloom, Pinkie and Applejack hopped on their dragon friends’ backs and off they went to the School in the Sky. The problem is that they’re all flying backwards! The girls have to sit the other way and watch for anything they might fly into along the way. Rainbow Dash was having the worst luck, since she couldn't quite turn her head around and she kept crashing into trees and anything in her way. Eventually, they arrived at the School in the Sky. They were hoping to get help from the great wise dragon, but he wasn’t there.

Suddenly, Cassie has an idea. She said, “Let's look in The Big Storybook.” And they walked backwards, until Cassie grabbed the book and flipped the pages to find the backwards Forwards Sign.

“Here it is. The Backwards Forwards Sign.” said Cassie. “When the backwards forwards sign gets turned around, the sun comes up when it should go DOWN. You take a step and back you fly. You can’t go forward, no matter how hard you try.” she narrated.

“So, that’s it! That’s how we got backwards.” Applejack said. “The sign must've turned around.”

“All we gotta do is turn it back and everything will be back to normal!” Pinkie said.

“All we gotta do?!” asked Zak, scared

“Where’s the sign, Cassie?” asked Pinkie.

“Near Dragonland Ledge.” said Cassie.

“C’mon. We were just playin’ there.” said Pinkie.

So, we have to go back to being forward, like we did going backwards.”

“Exactly… I think.” said Cassie.

Several minutes later, they were flying backwards, until they reached the Backwards Forwards sign, where Pinkie notices. Then they landed in a rough backward landing.

“Okay, all we have to do is turn the Backwards Forwards Sign around and everything will go back to the way it used to be.” instructed Rainbow Dash.

“But what about that sign?” asked Applejack, pointing to one sign.

“What about that sign?” Ord said, pointing to another sign.

“Oh, no!!! There's LOTS of signs! And only one of them is the right one!! What are we going to do?!?! WE'RE DOOOOOOOOOOMED!!!!!!!! Zak said, scared.

"Why don't we just turn each sign and see what happens?" Wheezie said.

“Can I turn one?” Ord asked.

"We can all turn one!" Pinkie instructed as everyone got ready.

"Here it goes..." Cassie said nervously. She turns one of the signs; suddenly, she starts floating in mid-air upside down.

“WHOAAA!!!!” Cassie yelled.

Suddenly, everyone was flipping and floating upside down, kind of like a different gravity field!

"Well, this is mighty disorientin'. Hope it doesn't last too long." Applejack commented, confused but determined to find a solution.

“That must be the Upside-Down Sign!!! Cassie, how are we gonna fix this?!” Apple Bloom said, tired from all the vertigo she and the others are feeling.

“Loooooove it!!!” exclaimed Wheezie while Zak was feeling nauseous. “I think I'm gonna be sick!”

"This is like a party trick gone wild! Wheee!" Pinkie Pie cheered, loving the chaos.

Thankfully, Cassie turns the sign back the other way; everyone flips right side up and lands normally again.

“Sorry.” Cassie apologized while Pinkie Pie walked to another sign.

“Or maybe it's this one?” Pinkie asked as she turned it. Suddenly, everyone started floating mid-air horizontally!

“WHOAAAAAA!!!!” cried everyone.

"AJ, this is pretty neat, huh?" Apple Bloom asked, clearly intrigued.

“Really loooooooove it!!!” Wheezie exclaimed.

"I can handle this, no problem." Rainbow Dash said, confident and getting competitive.

"Uh, Pinkie! Put us down right now!!!" Applejack yelled out, clearly having enough of the gravity changes.

"Oh, come on Applejack. This is like we're floating on a cloud of candy! Why should we stop?" Pinkie complained.

A serious grin from Applejack finally convinced Pinkie to turn the sign back the other way. With that, everyone flips vertically and lands normally again. Sometimes, Applejack's looks can kill. She doesn't play around!

Ord then walks over backwards to another sign. “I bet it's this one.” Ord guessed, as he turned it. Suddenly, everybody flew up and were spinning, flipping and cartwheeling in mid-air nonstop!

"This is makin' me dizzy! Try to hold onto somethin', y'all!" Applejack exclaimed, getting even more disoriented as she was floating and spinning round and round.

"AJ, I don't know how much longer I can take this!" Apple Bloom screamed as she flips around in the air, dizzy and exhilarated.

“WHOAAAAAA!!!!! Cassie yelled.

"This is the wildest party ever!" Pinkie Pie screamed out as she cartwheels in the air, completely ecstatic and loving every moment of the craziness. She's Pinkie Pie, so what did you expect?

"This is insane, even for me!" Rainbow Dash screamed as she cartwheeled in the air as well, frustrated that she magically has lost control of herself. “Can you please make this stop, Ord?!”

Ord is also about to spin like everyone else but turns the sign back the other way just in time and the spinning stops.

“I don't know what that sign is, but it makes me dizzy!” Ord said, feeling nauseous.

"Yeah. you're telling me, sugarcube!" Applejack replies, clearly on the verge of throwing up from all that spinning!

Once everyone recovered, Zak and Wheezie went to a different sign and were confident that they might have the right one.

“Please, be the right one…” said Zak, scared.

The 2 headed dragon turned the sign and it released magic sparkles which shower all over Dragon Land as showered over everyone.

“Nothing happened.”

“Do you think this is the backwards forwards sign?” asked Ord.

“Only one way to find out.”

Suddenly, she starts walking forward.

“It worked!”

Zak and Wheezie started to fly forward and Wheezie said; “We did it, WE DID IT!!!!” “We’re finally going forwards again!” Zak said happily.

Ord jumped forwards and was very happy about what he did. “I’m jumping forwards again!” he exclaimed.

Cassie did forward skips on one foot and said, “I’m skipping forwards!”

“And we’re hoping…” Said Wheezie.

Then they hopped until the others were shocked at what they saw; they bumped into the bouncy mushroom… and saw until Zak and Wheezie fell in the bush. Zak groaned.

“Backwards.” Pinkie said as everyone laughed

After a long, confusing day, it was time for the girls to head home. They all held their hands and said the magical phrase: “I wish, I wish, to use this rhyme, to go back home, until next time.” Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Pinkie Pie and Apple Bloom said in unison as they went back home. Instantly, they arrived home, still a tiny bit dizzy from their backwards day.

“That was fun!” Rainbow said.

“Hey, look!” Apple Bloom pointed out.

“What?” Pinkie asked, when she realized that there was Cake. She went there to eat it, but when she was about to eat it, a small party cannon came out of the frosting and blasted confetti all over everyone.

“April FOOLS!!!” everyone said to Pinkie.

Pinkie Pie loved what Rainbow, Applejack and Apple Bloom did to her. Pinkie wasn't sad at all; she was just happy.

“Aw, thanks. You truly all are the best friends I could ever ask for.” Pinkie said as everyone giggled.
