Something to change everything

Jacob had grown rather fond of going to school, despite his distaste for school work, and often spent time with Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon. Jacob had shown them his favorite tricks and frequently went back to Diamond Tiara's basement to collect more materials as he received his Crafting Grid back last week, good as new.

Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon seemed to enjoy his company, considering he helped get rid of the tainted Spoiled Rich. Jacob spent multiple days detailing his adventures to them as they listened, genuinely interested, and Jacob was so involved that he didn't notice a device in his pocket pack making a ringing noise. Everyday. Until now when he was out of stories to tell. "Huh? Something's ringing?" Jacob asked himself as he started digging into his bag and found out his brother had been messaging him everyday! "Okay, what the actual hell?! My brother's been sending me text messages!? And I never noticed?!" He asked all three to himself as he read the messages.

Heya dude, don't know if you'll get this but me and Dan are going to look for Bad Guy's location and defeat him even without the Ultimate Trimmer.

Heya dude, given that you didn't response I'll assume you're either still in Bad Guy's dungeon or dead. Shame, always loved your Observationalist ability. Anyways, me and Dan have already arrived at our current search location.

Yesterday's search provided nothing of note. Well, can't make an omlet without breaking a few eggs but me and Dan both discovered monsters in/near this school. I encountered the familiar Computer + while Dan encountered a new enemy I'm calling a Soundproofer since Dan's sound based attack did no damage.

From Brendan(Yesterday)

Sooo... more of the Soundproofers exist and even have a drop table like some of Bad Guy's own troops. I wouldn't be surprised if he's here, hiding amongst the oddly colored people of this school. But I can't help but be suspicious of the bright white girl with the two tone curly hair...

Brendan's out there. Jacob's brother is out there... and a new enemy? "Jacob? You okay?" Diamond Tiara asked as Jacob began typing a response to today's message.

From Brendan(A hour ago)

Heya... still no clues as to where Bad Guy is and all the students seem to not know him... maybe this is a dud.

To Brendan(Just now)

Brendan! It's me! I am alive! I've been good and glad to see you and Dan worried. However, you'll be searching for a long while because me and Bad Guy are both in another world filled with ponies! I'm a mfing pegasus and Bad Guy's a unicorn!

Jacob smiled as he resolved to check the messages app later to see Brendan's response. "Diamond... Silver... My brother's looking for me!" Jacob said with the biggest smile ever... before realizing what being found meant, "But... then I'd have to leave you two and... well... a part of me doesn't want to do that. At first I was fine with it but now... leaving you two feels like... something akin to losing a loved one. Like... I want to go home but... part of me feels like Equestria is home... I don't know if I could leave it," he admitted.

Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon went and gave him a hug which became clear that he needed. Then Brendan sent another message and this time everyone saw it.

From Brendan(Just now)

YOOO! ARE YOU BEING FR RN?!?! ME AND DAN ARE BUSY SEARCHING A F***ING DUD?!?! YOU ARE GOING TO TELL ME WHERE THE F***ING HELL YOU ARE CURRENTLY LOCATED OR SO HELP ME GOD I'M GOING TO MURDER YOU!

Jacob gulped. As he grabbed it. He took a deep breath.

To Brendan(Just now)

Currently in a world called Equus, in a room with my friends in this world, some fillies named Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon who I helped by defeating a tainted pony who was also the parent of Diamond Tiara. Dw, I'm safe as Bad Guy is making sure his monsters stay in his base just outside the village I'm in... but the existence of Soundproofers is... not pleasing.

Jacob put his device down and went into another room to rest himself instead of suffering through more messages.

In the human world...

Brendan just stared at the device... there's no way... right? Bad Guy isn't behind the monsters here and is even keeping his monsters in his base?! Brendan was just baffled.

If Bad Guy wasn't behind the monsters... who was...?

Brendan looked at the statue he was sitting next to... vines were grown on all of it. Vines... Brendan grabbed a vine and tore it off the statue before it was added to his Crafting Grid's inventory. "I need to find out more... U.I.?" Brendan said as a small drone appeared, "Conduct a thorough scan of this statue please," he commanded and watched as his U.I. model scanned the statue and returned with positive results on magic.

Brendan wrote a small note telling Dan that he'd be gone for a long while... and then he entered the statue.

Brendan landed on the ground of an unfamiliar castle. Looking at his hooves, he had a purple coat, his mane was the same brown he had originally, and he had a flank mark showing the symbol of a Space Invader from... well... Space Invaders.

Brendan heard a noise and got his mouse ready to strike, his wings shaking... wait, wings? Brendan didn't focus on that as he got ready to strike as a green unicorn and a white unicorn/pegasus hybrid. "So is the mirror behind the pegasus? The magical portal mirror?" The green unicorn asked as the white unicorn/hybrid nodded, "Got it, hey, pegasus, move the fuck over so I can deal with the mirror and move it someplace... safer... hold up... Celestia, didn't you say that I was the first pony since that Starswirl asshat that was allowed in this room?"

Celestia seemed suddenly looked surprised. "Uhh... look I'll just-" Brendan said, moving ever so slightly towards the exit, before getting grabbed by a magic aura... a red magic aura.

"You aren't going anywhere, dipshit! This is a forbidden room!" The green unicorn said allowing Brendan to see his flank mark... a snake, eating a hornet, and strangling a slime.

"You're Bad Guy, aren't you? If so, how did you manage to fool my brother into believing you changed for the better because I fail to believe it one single bit," Brendan said as the pony who was obviously Bad Guy just sighed.

"Based on the fact that you have a cutie mark, you're Brendan the 12 year old pain in my ass. I didn't 'change for the better,' I just got more restrained. You wanna know why? Because back in my new home, there are six ponies who could wield the damn Ultimate Trimmer and turn me to stone again if I tried anything and I'd rather not die again," Bad Guy said as he set Brendan in a chair and tied him up, "Now if you'll excuse me, Celestia will deal with your shit while I deal with the Crystal Mirror," Bad Guy trotted back to the room with the mirror.

Brendan just looked pissed as Celestia undid the ropes, Brendan got ready to make careful use of his skills to destroy this monster/corrupted pony. "I wouldn't try attacking me if I were you, Brendan. Bad Guy tried it once and after that he told me that I hit as hard as a full squad of ponies like you so I would advise against attacking the one trying to let you free," Celestia said as Brendan's ropes were removed.

Then a white filly with a two tone... curly mane... and emerald eyes... hey wait a damn moment, if it wasn't for the fact that these are ponies, they look super similiar to some of the people he met at Canterlot high. Anyways, a white unicorn filly burst into the room with a small blonde pegasus colt. "Where is Bad Guy?!" The unicorn filly asked when Celestia pointed in the direction of the mirror room.

As the filly ran off, the pegasus colt sighed, "Why did Sweetie Belle..." Wasn't that the girls name that he was suspicious of? "... drag me from Diamond's house all the way to Canterlot Castle?" The colt asked. It was then that he noticed Brendan and did what Jacob did with his Observationalist ability. "'Brendan, a gamer gifted with godly energy now on a search for Bad Guy'... well hey there bro, wasn't expecting to see you today, nice coat," Jacob said as Brendan started towards him before stopping.

"Did... did you say Sweetie Belle?" Brendan asked as Jacob nodded. Brendan rushed towards the Mirror room and immediately pushed Bad Guy and Sweetie Belle out of the way, Celestia and Jacob followed him. "Oooooh shit. Could it be..." Brendan got out the vine he stole, a small part now looking red, "It is... shit, shit, shit, shit, shit! That girl... that stupid white skinned, pink and purple haired girl is behind the monsters on the other side!" Brendan tried to enter but the portal was closed, "DAMN IT! Now Dan's alone in there and completely unaware of the threat!" Brendan said while slamming his hoof into the floor.

Bad Guy stood up but Sweetie Belle stopped him from taking action. "First, I fail to assist Nightmare Moon in a meaningful way, then I get my base back only to find out Jacob ended up as a stowaway, and now I learn that Brendan came to here in search but realized that I'm not doing shit," Bad Guy said.

"It's okay, Bad Guy, we'll just need to be careful," Sweetie Belle said to comfort Bad Guy.

Brendan sat, thinking all about the situation he finds himself in. His brother and him are both pegasi, Bad Guy isn't attacking him, and a filly who looks like someone on the other side that he realizes he should have kept a better eye on.

Everything is...

Falling into place.

Human Sweetie Belle is sitting in her room with a devious smirk on her face, "The mouse wielder is gone and with Sunset's message that she's getting close to finding the Cloak, well... it couldn't have been any better. Now all that's left is to deal with the harp wielder but... I can do that," she said as she used a summoning circle to teleport Gemma Corrosionis just to deal with Dan, "Oh yeah... this'll do just fine. It may not be as powerful as it was during ancient times... but it's good enough."
