Continuing the backstory for our two friends. We have DemiSpike. DemiSpike didn't have it as easy as DemiTwi. Anyways, let's continue.

DemiSpike hadn't always been in Canterlot with DemiTwi. He came from no other place than the Dragonlands! DemiSpike had a very tough time in the Dragonlands. For one, DemiSpike had never met his parents. When being hatched out from the egg he didn't see his parents. The other dragons had started taking care of him. Sadly, they were assholes to him.

DemiSpike at a slightly younger age walks through the Dragonlands trying to find his parents. He jumps through obstacles and runs through any threats trying to stop him. Suddenly, a dragon gets him as soon as he tries to make a jump.

"Watch it, freak! You could have harmed yourself. Well, maybe I should have let you get hurt." The dragon says in a harsh tone.

"Sorry... I-"

"You're trying to find your parents again, huh?" The dragon laughs in a harsh tone, "They left you for a reason. Just accept it you freak."

DemiSpike sighs and just lets the dragon carry him to wherever she is carrying to. The two suddenly make a landing. The dragon shoves DemiSpike aside.

"I don't know why us dragons couldn't have just let you go off on your own. We don't need an ugly pink furry girly-looking dragon like you. You can't even be considered a dragon!" the dragon says.

DemiSpike walks away sad. He always told himself that one day the other dragons might realize how mean they were and start being a bit nicer.

Sadly, that day never came. The dragons only got more rude and harsher with their insults. Sometimes, DemiSpike just couldn't take the insults and started crying when alone. DemiSpike had then planned to take it upon himself and escape from this torture.

On the day of his birthday. The insults only got worse. This had caused DemiSpike to make it the day he escaped.

DemiSpike after seeing no dragon around, started his escape. He runs through the fading familiar scenes of the Dragonlands. He hopes to never see the place or dragons ever again. He hopes one day he will find his parents.

DemiSpike had been running for an hour or two exhausted. DemiSpike is on the verge of passing out until he feels himself lifted from the ground and flying through the skies. He is too tired to see who has carried him.

"Heh. If you really wanted to leave you could have said so." the same dragon who had caught him earlier says.

DemiSpike closes his eyes accepting his fate. He suddenly feels himself falling through the sky. He looks up to see the dragon flying away. He looks down to see the ground coming closer and closer. He luckily lands in a fountain. He crawls out from the fountain in exhaustion and moves slowly against one of the buildings. He curls up into a ball and closes his eyes just wanting to disappear. He hears two pairs of hooves trotting towards him.

"Ew! What is that?!" one of the ponies says.

"It's so ugly!" the other says.

DemiSpike looks up teary-eyed tired from hearing insults and on the verge of giving up.

The insults go on for a good five minutes till a unicorn bursts out the doors and yells at the bullies to stop. Even almost shooting at them. The unicorn takes DemiSpike in after introducing herself.

"M-my name is DemiSpike..." DemiSpike says introducing himself to the unicorn's parents.

The group is suddenly in a group hug after introducing themselves to DemiSpike.

"Hehe... I've always wanted to learn about dragons." DemiTwi says.

This is how DemiTwi and DemiSpike met, and how the two have become close with each other.
