The Earth Pony: Celestia’s Tribe. Natural Farmers by nature, thus followers of Princess Celestia by trade. (Even if there isn’t anything preventing an Earth Pony to take up a profession other than farming.)

The Pegasus: Discord’s creation; even though they still are fiercely loyal to the Princess of the sun herself: Celestia of the Day. Shepherds of the sky and weather, with the innate ability to walk on the clouds. (Cloud-Walking)

The Unicorn: wielder of the Ether. Natural Spell casters. In rare cases, a Unicorn can reach heights of power, rivaling even a Alicorn Princess.

The Bat Pony (Thestral): Luna’s Tribe, her loyal followers and guardians.

The Crystal Pony: the Northern tribe of Cadence.

The Kirin*: Emotional and fierce wielders of the Flame.

The Sea Pony*: Ponies of the Sea, aquatic equines.

The Hippogriff*: Enabled by the union between a Pony and a Griphon.

The Mer Pony*: a Coastal tribe of Equines.

The Centaur*: Enabled by the union between Ponies and Humans in the distant past. (Long forgotten and most recently denied by all.)

The Changeling*: Insectoid Pony long forgotten. (Recently corrupted by greed.) Believed to originate from the region of the Crystal empire, before the corrupted King cursed the great Crystal City into oblivion and sealed away in a state of Limbo.

The Shadow Pony: corrupted Pony, taking on a form of Shadow and Mist. (Swallowed by hatred in a bid for pointless revenge.)

The Candy Pony: Cursed Pony, turned into Candy from the inside out. These forlorn beings lives in a Zombie-like state, consuming any pony flesh they can sink their sharp teeth into. (Yet, never satisfied.)

The Tentacle Pony: a Pony with tentacles for Mane and Tail. Lives in relatively small tribe, supposedly roaming the land in search of resources. Rarely trading with other Tribes.

The Slime Pony: Enabled by the union between the wild (feral) Slimes and Ponies. The Pony has a membranous and glossy hide, while the meat of the pony is gelatinous and highly elastic and squishy.

The Latex Pony: Commonly an Earth Pony or Unicorn Type, but can also be a Mer Pony. Recognized by the smooth and glossy hide in place of the coat of fur of the more common Ponies. Thrives in the moderate climate of central Equestria.

The Rubber Pony: Enabled by Twilight Sparkle; under the influence of a Changeling, directed to deliver a Book to her.

The Zony: Enabled by the union of a Pony and a Zebra. (Is it the Mare or the Stallion being the Pony and Zebra, respectively.)

The Mule*: Enabled by the union of a female Pony and a male Donkey.

The Hinny*: Enabled by the union of a male Pony and a female Donkey.

The Lamia*: Discord’s creation. (For the purpose of the Narrative of this story; Discord is the creator of the Lamia.. {I could as well invent this distinction between the Lamia and the Naga!})

The Naga*: Enabled by the union between Pony and Snake. Equine, from the hips and upwards; while snake, from the hips down to the very tip of the tail. (Generally appears to be an earth Pony, but Unicorn{s} has been sighted.) Commonly has snake-like eyes, but may still look equine. Has a forked tongue, commonly.

Dreider: Enabled by the union between a Pony and a (Star?)-Spider. Known to be able to spin nets out of internal threads, as well as injecting venom into the victim.

Ponequine*: (See Ponnequine)

Ponnequine*: This Pony lives to be adored, by being adored in the suit of choice of the one owning the venue in which she (or he) is standing. Spending the time, wearing fashionable suits; ranging from Adorable, Cute, to Pretty Beautiful and Handsome. (Where they came from, originated; who knows, the origin is a mystery Wrapped in an enigma!”)

The Balloon Pony: Pinkamena Diane Pie’s creation. (Pinkie Pie) Resembles the more common ‘Latex Pony’, but is much lighter than the Latex Pony, aside from certain characteristic traits. (The eyes do not move like the common Pony’s eyes and the movement is lacking the traits commonly associated by vertebrates due to the lack of an internal bone structure to support movement. {invertebrate})

The Shadow Pony: Stygian’s creation.

The Star Pony: Luna’s creation.

The Spirit Pony: The Tree of Harmony’s creation.

Ponyta: Fire Pony. (Has the general appearance of an Earthpony, but with the mane, tail, coat and other hair made out of flames.)

Rapidash: (See Ponyta) Senior, more powerful than the junior Ponyta.

Alicorn: Possesses the traits and powers of all the main tribes of Ponies. (Earth Pony, Pegasus, Unicorn.) May contain further traits and powers aligning with the respective Element. (Celestia has the fire of the Kirin, Luna has the night-vision of the Bat Pony.. !)

Celestia is the Alicorn of the Sun, possessing the element of fire.

Luna is the Alicorn of the Moon. (Ruler of the heavens, protector of the Moon and the Stars.) Lord of the Dreams and the dream-realm. (Shepard of the young. {Fillies and Colts.})

Mi Amore Cadensa (Cadance) is the Alicorn of love. (Goddess of Food and Deliverance.) The eternal wellspring of eternal Love. Matriarch of the Crystal Empire in the far North.

Twilight Sparkle is the Alicorn of Friendship and the element of Magic. The current Matriarch of the Elements.

Flurry Heart is the Alicorn of of .. (Due to her appearance is too recent to determine, little to nothing is known of her.)

Pinkamena Diane Pie (Pinkie Pie) is the element of Laughter. (Chaotic entity beyond reach of understanding)

Discord* is the spirit of Chaos. (Spouse of Fluttershy.)

Fluttershy is the element of Kindness. (Spousee of discord)

Applejack is the element of Honesty.

Rarity is the element of Generosity.

Rainbow Dash is the element of Loyalty. She is also the embodiment of speed and the (sole) wielder of the Sonic Rainboom.

* These are considered as "Ponies" in the context of this story.
