A Sunshyne Love Story
A Date
Previous ChapterNext ChapterAfter the Friendship Games ended in a draw, and Twilight’s human counterpart transferred to Canterlot High, Sunset and Fluttershy were about to go on a date.
Fluttershy was at home getting ready for her date with Sunset. She didn’t know where they were going because Sunset told her that it was a surprise. The only thing she knew was that Sunset told her to dress casual.
Just then, Fluttershy heard the revving up of an engine outside. She looked out the window to see Sunset on her motorcycle. She waved to Fluttershy up in her room indicating her to come down. Fluttershy ran downstairs to join Sunset on her motorcycle. Sunset handed Fluttershy a helmet which she then put on. She wrapped her arms around Sunset and held onto her tightly.
“First time on a motorcycle?” Sunset asked.
Fluttershy nodded in response which made Sunset chuckle lightly.
“Don’t worry, just hang on.” Sunset told her which made Fluttershy hold onto her even tighter.
As they drove, Fluttershy started to feel less nervous. She began to feel the adrenaline rush of riding on the back of a motorcycle.
“Woohoo.” Fluttershy said in enjoyment.
Sunset laughed knowing that her girlfriend was starting to have fun.
They soon arrived at their destination, Sunset stopped her motorcycle and the two of them took off their helmets. Fluttershy noticed that they were at the pirate alligator mini golf course.
“Wow, I haven’t been here in a long time.” Fluttershy said.
“You’ve played before?” Sunset asked.
“I have, but not in a long time. My parents used to bring Zephyr and me here all the time. Zephyr used to dress up as a pirate whenever we came here.” Fluttershy answered.
Sunset laughed at the idea of Zephyr Breeze dressed up as a pirate.
“So, what do you say? Ready to play?” Sunset asked.
“Let’s do this.” Fluttershy said with determination.
Seeing Fluttershy so determined made Sunset smile. She was so happy to have Fluttershy in her life.
As they began, Sunset was impressed by Fluttershy’s golfing skills.
“You’ve still got it.” Sunset said.
“I guess it’s like riding a bike, you never forget.” Fluttershy giggled in response.
After mini golfing, Sunset and Fluttershy stopped for ice cream. Sunset decided to buy Fluttershy a large dish of ice cream.
“Are you sure?” Fluttershy asked. “I don’t want you to spend too much on me.”
“I want to do it.” Sunset answered. “Think of it as my way of making up for when I made you drop your ice cream from when we first met.”
Fluttershy remembered that day. She then agreed.
“Okay, but I can’t eat all that ice cream by myself. Why don’t we share?” Fluttershy asked.
“Deal.” Sunset answered.
The two of them sat down and enjoyed the ice cream together.
“Mmm, this is delicious.” Fluttershy said.
“And sweet, just like you.” Sunset added.
Fluttershy blushed. Sunset was really trying to spoil her.
“Are you trying to spoil me rotten?” Fluttershy asked.
“You’re far too sweet to ever be rotten.” Sunset answered.
Fluttershy blushed even more at that.
After eating their ice cream, Sunset took Fluttershy home. When they arrived at Fluttershy’s house, Fluttershy got off the motorcycle and both of them took off their helmets.
“Thanks for such a great date, Sunset. I had fun.” Fluttershy said.
“So did I.” Sunset responded. “I’ll see you tomorrow, Shy.”
Fluttershy gave Sunset a quick kiss on the cheek.
“See you tomorrow, Sunny.” Fluttershy said before heading inside.
Sunset smiled and then put her helmet back on before riding back home.
When Fluttershy stepped inside her house, she felt her mind fill with memories of what happened on her date with Sunset. She couldn’t wait for their next date together.
