G5 Adventures in The Bad Guys
All Is Well That Ends Well/An Emotional Farewell
Previous ChapterNext ChapterIt didn’t seem like it was over, but… it finally was.
Professor Marmalade’s plan had failed, and thanks to the cubs’ Mythix Roar, along with the Mane 6 opening a portal behind Safira, she was now gone from Los Angeles forever.
The city was safe, but… is this really the end of our story?
Well… that’s exactly what we’re about to find out.

Reva and her cousins stood panting for a few moments, trying to comprehend what they had done before Gretchen finally spoke, a smile coming onto her face. “We… we did it… we did it!!”
Oran laughed in delight, nearly jumping a foot in the air. “I can’t believe that it finally worked!”
Mr. Wolf and the rest of the Bad Guys rushed forward to greet the cubs, and the cubs happy ran over to meet them, loving the embraces and praise they were getting from their mentors.
Allura internally sighed in relief at this. The cubs were finally free of that evil dragon and were finally able to be themselves... something she wished that her father allowed her and Alterro to do when they were young, but... it didn’t exactly turn out that way, did it?
Mr. Wolf sighed and rubbed up against Reva, who was happily purring in his arms. “I'm proud of you and your cousins, kiddo. You may have just showed me up as a leader, you know that?”
Reva blushed slightly. “Thanks, Wolfie... that really means a lot coming from you. Hey... what do you say we get out of here and go celebrate?”
However, within seconds, the entire police force came and surrounded the group against the end of the bridge, causing Misty to gulp rather nervously. “Maybe it's a little early for a celebration meal...”
“This is it...” Chief Luggins said as she grabbed Mr. Wolf by the collar of his shirt. “There is absolutely no way you’re getting away this time.”
“Wait, chief!” Rogue called out as he and Diane rushed forward, with the kitten Mr. Wolf saved on Rogue's back, causing Chief Luggins to become confused. “Governor? Rogue?”
“Don’t do it,” Diane pleaded as the chief dropped Mr. Wolf and Reva. “They didn’t steal the meteorite. They were bringing it back, in order to help clear the Equestrians' names, not just their own.”
“Ha!” Chief Luggins scoffed at the mere thought. “How could you know that? Unless… unless you were conspiring with a bunch of known criminals.”
Diane slowly removed her glasses and cleared her throat a bit. “Well... ahem... as a matter of fact, it’s time I came clean about something.”
The Mane 6 gasped and looked at Allura and Twitch with wide eyes-- Diane was willing to give up her secret identity and the Crimson Paw in order to prove the Bad Guys' innocence?
She was brave... a lot braver than Zipp could ever be in this circumstance.
Diane continued to speak, a bit nervous about telling the chief the truth. “The truth is I’m really… ahem... really...”
“Really a big fan of redemption arcs. Yeah, we know,” Mr. Wolf said before looking at his friends and the cubs, who nodded before moving forward, just as Mr. Wolf faced the chief, holding his arms up while his friends did the same. “The Equestrians are innocent, but... we're done running away.”
“Sure are.”
“Done and done.”
“Mmm-hmm.”
“Yeah.”
“Yep.”
Mr. Wolf turned to the baffled chief with a gentle smile. “Chief, do what you need to do.”
“What?” Izzy spoke up in shock. “You guys are turning yourselves in?”
“Wolf... are you guys sure you wanna do this?” Allura asked unsurely. “You probably won't get out for a really long time.”
“We might not have stolen the meteorite,” Mr. Wolf told her, “but we did steal a lot of other things.”
Reva nodded to this, flashing a smile at Diane and Rogue. “It’s time we took some responsibility. Start a clean state,” she said before holding up her front paws. “Take us in, chief.”
The chief still seemed completely stunned by the selfless act the Bad Guys and the cubs were doing to protect their Equestrian friends. “Wow, really?”
Mr. Wolf nodded and proceeded to put the handcuffs on himself. “You finally did it. This is your moment, chief. Drink it in.”
The chief gasped seemed to finally snap out of her shock with a gentle gasp. “Wow. You know, I should… I should give a speech. I… Well, I-I should, shouldn’t I?”
Zipp winced at this. “Uh, well...”
“When I was six years old,” the chief proceeded to tell her fellow officers, “I decided that I wanted to play the piccolo, only to find that my fingers were just too powerful for that fragile little instrument. And that’s when I discovered law enforcement.”
As the chief continued her speech, Diane and Rogue smiled at Mr. Wolf and Reva. “We’re proud of you, Wolf,” Diane said with a gentle smile. “We all are,” Sunny added as her group came forward. “This is just the first step to a better life for yourself.”
Mr. Wolf smiled and merely shrugged as the cubs purred against Allura one final time. “You know, a fox and a wolf are not that different. You got a good thing going here, governor.”
“U-Uh, Reva? Before you go, I-I wanted to tell you something before you left,” Rogue began to tell the blue tiger cub as she and her friends and family began to walk off. “I-I mean... I... I lo... oh, what am I trying to say...?”
Reva instead licked the side of his face, cutting Rogue off with wide eyes. “Yeah... I get what you're saying, Casanova. Come and sew us in the big house, okay?”
And so, as the Bad Guys and their cubs were led away by the police, Tiffany Fluffit turned back to her viewers. “So, it turns out the saga of the Bad Guys has come to a simple and totally satisfying conclusion. Though I wonder, what happened to the meteorite?”
The Equestrian heroes felt like they could slap their fafes at this-- how were they gonna admit they lost the meteorite during the race to rescue Mr. Snake from his fall?
That’s when everyone saw Professor Marmalade trying to get Cuddles to control the helicopter, and Tiffany Fluffit immediately saw the meteorite and assumed what the professor was doing. “It’s Professor Marmalade! He’s bringing the meteorite back.”
“Huh? Uh, yes, yes. Bringing… bringing it back. That’s precisely what I am doing,” Professor Marmalade said as the helicopter touched down, allowing him to get off. “Look no further. Your hero has arrived.”
“Professor, care to comment?” Tiffany asked, and the professor continued to play innocent in his comments. “I tried to help them, Tiffany, but in the end, it’s the same old story. Bad guys bad, good guys good.”
“So true,” Tiffany nodded. “So wise.”
“Furthermore,” Professor Marmalade continued, “for the good of the city, I have generously decided to take the meteorite back to my compound for safekeeping.”
The crowd of police officers cheered at this, while the Bad Guys, the cubs and the Equestrians looked at the sight in anger. “Is he seriously gonna get away with this?!” Pipp looked enraged. “Oh, if I had been streaming that car chase, I would have…”
“No need, princess,” Mr. Snake calmly told her. “The rodent’ll get what he deserves.”
“Thank you. Gosh, you’re kind. Give it up for me!” Professor Marmalade clapped for himself, just as the chief noticed the meteorite flipping on and off with every clap. “Wait a second… this isn’t the meteorite!” she said, showing them. “It’s a lamp!”
“Huh?!” the others chorused, just as Mr. Snake wickedly chuckled, causing them all to turn to him. “WHAT?!”
“Listen… I figured Marmalade might try and double cross me, so I decided to play through with the plan to get his trust,” Mr. Snake explained. “So, when I had the helmet, I used it to get those guinea pigs to paint over the lamp to look like the real thing, setting it to the highest power it could go. But it was you guys who took the lamp instead of the hunk of rock.”
“Wow… even I couldn’t come up with a plan that good,” Hitch whispered to Misty, who nodded, a bit impressed. “But,” Professor Marmalade stammered, “if that’s a lamp, where is the…”
Mr. Snake merely chuckled to this. “The old switcheroo.”
The fake meteorite was about to overload back in the lab, and when Mr. Snake snapped his tail, an explosion occurred in the distance, destroying Marmalade's place and unleashing a glowing beam into the sky. It fizzes out, blowing the hats off the cops.
Professor Marmalade looked shocked at this, but Twitch merely patted his head with his paw as the Bad Guys got into the car while the Equestrians went over to the window to say goodbye. “You know, we’re really gonna miss you,” Misty said to the group. “Despite being the Bad Guys… you’ll always be good guys to us.”
“Aw, thanks, Misty,” Ms. Tarantula smiled. “Thanks for helping us through all this… even during the parts that weren’t so great.”
“So… what’s gonna happen to you guys now?” Mr. Piranha asked, but before anyone could respond, a shimmering portal opened up nearby. “Well, I may be new to this,” Allura said, “but that looks like our portal back home.”
“You catch on pretty fast for a newbie,” Pipp said, nudging her slightly. “Oh, but before we go, I made you all something!” Izzy said, getting several brightly colored friendship bracelets out of her mane and putting them on their new friends. “So you’ll have something to remember us by.”
“And they have your names on them!” Zari said with a smile as she looked at her bracelet. “Do you think, if we ever see you guys again after we get out of prison… you can teach me how to make some?”
“It’s a date, Zari-Bari,” Izzy said, and with that, the car began to drive off, with Mr. Wolf pretending to tip his hat to Diane and Rogue while Mr. Piranha whispered to Professor Marmalade. “It’s a butt!”
Suddenly, as the Mane 6 were about to leave through the portal with Allura and Twitch, the Golden Dolphin fell down and dropped on the meteorite, which landed on Marmalade. Out dropped the Zumpango Diamond from the villain’s pocket, to which Chief Luggins picked up to inspect. “Hold on. This is the Zumpango diamond. But this was stolen by the…”
Suddenly, the chief gasped and pointed at Professor Marmalade. “...by the Crimson Paw!”
“Me?” the professor tried to clear things up. “Oh, oh, no, no, no.”
“OMG,” Tiffany told her viewers as Professor Marmalade was picked up and thrown into a SUCM truck. “In a shocking twist, the notorious bandit known as the Crimson Paw has been revealed to be none other than… Professor Marmalade!”
“No, no!! I'm not the Crimson Paw!” Professor Marmalade tried to plead as the truck drove away. “S-She's the Crimson Paw! She's the Paw! I'M THE FLOWER OF GOODNESS!!! NOOOO!!!!”
“And bye-bye, rodent,” Zipp saluted off to Professor Marmalade before turning toward Diane and Rogue. “Keep an eye on those Good Guys and their cubs, would you? We’ll be back sometime soon.”
“You can count on us,” Diane said sincerely. “Thank you for everything.”
“Till we meet again!” Izzy chirped before the Mane 6, Allura and Twitch set forth into the portal before it closed.

Back in the police car where the Bad Guys were sitting with their cubs, Mr. Shark noogied Mr. Snake on the head for the amazing switch he had pulled. “Ooh, that’s my reptile right there!”
“That’s what I’m talking about! All right!” Mr. Piranha cheered as Gretchen purred against her mentor. “Come on, somebody had to destroy that meteorite,” Mr. Snake said. “That thing was dangerous.”
“That was pretty good there, Snakey,” Reva said with a smile. “Good? It was genius. Not only did I foil the pig,” Mr. Snake turned to Wolf, “I got you to admit how much you care about me.”
“Sure, yeah,” Mr. Wolf nodded before smirking to himself. “I just wonder about one little thing.”
“Oh, yeah?” Gretchen tilted her head in confusion. “What’s that, Wolf?”
Mr. Wolf put on his pair of sunglasses on his face as he asked one final question. “...who do you think put that one push-pop in the fridge?”
