Chapter 4: Shining Armor

With a poof Rainbow Dash teleported into the room. A member of the cult was observing Shining Armor reciting some satanic prayer. Deciding that she didn’t want to lose control while confronting Shining Armor she sneaked up ripped the cult pony’s spine out and ate him (she had deduced that her self control was directly linked to her hunger).

Hearing the sudden thrashing and tearing Shining Armor turned to look at Rainbow Dash with a twisted smile on his face. “So you returned master I knew you would come to your senses sooner or later.” He said calmly.

“What?” Was all Rainbow Dash could think of for how weird this was.

“Oh some of that Rainbow Dash lingers still. Oh well doesn’t matter now you will lead us to our day of reckoning soon enough.” He rather rudely responded.

I will lead no one of this world anywhere, in fact if I had control he would be dead now. The voice said sounding rather annoyed.

“Answers now tell me everything!” Rainbow Dash seethed and delivered a blow to his chest that knocked the deranged guard stallion to the ground.

“Well you are foolish to think I an very significant in all this. I am but a lowly servant of the order. Go to Appleosa there you will find answers as well as figuratively speaking the light, as I have.” Shining Armor answered, enraging Rainbow Dash. She lashed out driving a forehoof through his stomach.

Good now finish it! The voice ordered.

“No I said to Twi I wouldn’t.” Said Rainbow Dash struggling to resist the temptation. She teleported away before her will could break.

Mean while at the Ponyville Hospital Twilight Sparkle Woke to a peculiar weight on where her leg would be. She looked down to see a purple what appeared to be plastic leg in it’s place.

“What is this.” Twilight exclaimed both disturbed and fascinated. Then there was a bit of shuffling in the room, and a human soldier stood up from the seat in the corner he had been sleeping in.

“Oh, that is a standard fake leg typically given to amputees. You When Fluttershy heard what happened she ordered you got one. You can use it to walk, and it can be removed for greater comfort. Oh you are clear to return to your home according to Nurse Redheart.” The soldier quickly explained.

“Wait I thought Fluttershy was just a medic since when was she in a position to give orders?” She wondered aloud, then noticing that the soldier was about to explain she cut him off. “You know, I don’t care I just want to go home.”

As she walked through the streets of ponyville she was constantly being asked about the leg or what happened, to the latter she would answer something like, “I’m not sure myself, or I don’t want to talk about it.”

However when a depressed looking Scotaloo asked about Rainbow Dash, all she said was “I wish I knew for sure.”

Back in the crypt Rainbow Dash the Father and some guy in a security uniform named Matt were discussing the information she had gathered.  The guy was apparently a paladin of the Vatican Order a secret society that had be secretly waging war against the Satanic Order for a couple of centuries now.

“So the Satanic Order has set up an Equestrian chapter.” Father Montgomery concluded. “Check out Appleosa tomorrow, I will send Matt to make sure you don’t go off the deep end, in the meantime go see Twilight she’s out of the hospital now, and can you ask her to drop by tomorrow I wish to speak to her about her brother.” He suggested.

“Ok!” and with a poof she was gone.

Twilight was practicing with her replacement leg when Rainbow dash poofed in. “Yikes! Rainbow Dash you scared me, I’m going to have to get used to there being other teleporters in town.”

“Sorry, so how are things, and once again sorry about what happened.” Rainbow Dash said.

“Oh, um you weren’t your self, and thanks for not killing my brother I heard on the new that he was found and now in custody, for wearing the same cloak as when he attacked the church.” Twilight said sounding a bit happier.

“About that the Father wants to speak with you about your brother, and tomorrow I’m getting to the bottom of this.” Rainbow dash said. The two spent the rest of the night talking, as this would be the last kind of normal night for quite a while.

Author’s notes:

I will be starting a new fanfic to fill the 3rd slot as I’m done with the “bad” one, and I can’t start the spin off till a certain point in this one or it will spoil a lot.
