Chapter 6: Hell

As she flew over the Everfree forest Rainbow Dash began to plan her attack. “The demons live in the superheated area beneath the surface, so my fire probably won’t do much. So I need a new ranged attack.” She thought out loud to herself. She then tried to use her magic. With a though she released two lightning bolts from her horns, and struck a tree. She smiled to herself; she was as magical as Twilight!

The entrance to hell was with in view now; the large circular crevasse about a kilometer in diameter was truly a sight to behold. The edges were jagged and falling away as if the entrance was going to swallow the whole planet. From deep with in there was a orangey red glow, and screams could be heard from the depths.

She was right over the opening now, the heat that radiated up from the crater was blowing bits of ash in to her eyes. With one last look to the blue sky she loved so much she folded her wings and began the plummet.

She rocketed downward faster and faster. The falling rocks from the edges were slowly turning red hot, apparently being a demon made her fully immune to heat, as she didn’t feel a thing.

She noticed that lining the edges of the crater were lines of ponies in chains being tortured by horrifying horned demons. She descended further the demons and forms of torture became more terrifying the deeper she went. She noticed a scrawny foal struggling against it’s bonds, as it was dragged towards a giant wheel of fire.

Seeing this Rainbow Dash had to intervene. “Hey pick on someone your own size!” She hollered as she opened her wings and directed her self at the demon dragging the foal.

She hit the first with lightning and impaled the second on her horns. Noticing the one she had impaled was still alive she put her fore hooves on it’s legs and pulled her head up, ripping the demon in half. She turned and prepared to jump back into the crevasse when rusted cast iron barbs suddenly shot up from the ground blocking her exit.

No. You’re in my house now, attacking my people, you will play by my rules! The voice boomed in her head, and with that she was left with no option but to fight her way down to the bottom.

She took of running she took note of the four main types of demons as she cut her way through them. Minor demons like the two she killed earlier, they were weak and not much of a threat. The medium demons were bulkier and put up an actual fight, and were twice the size of a human. The Fliers were giant bat like creatures with tentacles where there should be hind legs, lightning destroys them. Finally there were the behemoths she had bypassed the only one she had encountered so far, but it was massive and she really wasn’t looking forward to fighting them.

She suddenly found an unwelcome realization. There stuck in a pit of lava burning but not dying was the cult leader she had killed just a yesterday. She was pulled from her shock bye a voice that boomed with malice from the bottom of the pit.

All titans group together at the nearest tunnel hub! Bring me this disappointment alive!” It said it had the same tone of command of the voice in her head, but instead of mystery it held power.

Now you will face my wrath! The voice seethed.

She rounded a few more corners and found her self in a large room with many tunnels branching off of it. The room was dominated by three of the behemoths.

She decided to take the first strike. She flew up and lashed out with her lightning. The one that was hit didn’t even flinch. She dived at near sonic rainboom speeds and tore a huge chunk from it’s shoulder. It roared in pain, which that alone was loud enough to disorient her. It then struck her dead on with it’s massive fist. She was sent sprawling to the floor. Before she could get up she was hit by two highly coordinated attacks from the other two behemoths.

“Dam gotta get out of here.” Rainbow Dash grunted as she launched her self the way she came.

Wham! She was struck dead on by a behemoth that came out of her exit rout, the behemoth she bypassed earlier no doubt. As she spasmed on the floor it raised it’s massive foot and slammed it down on her. The world went black.

Wake up my pet. The voice cooed as she came to.

Now that you are here. I would like to explain how this will work. I am Wrath One of the seven deadly sins and the commander of the planet’s hell. You will help us.” A massive, but not as large as a behemoth demon said as it stared at her form sprawled on the ground.

“No, why should I help you?!” Rainbow seethed at her capturer.

If you refuse you lose everything, and gain nothing. If you help then you have everything to gain.” Wrath said.

I can ever make you a deadly sin, how’s betrayal sound? The voice offered.

“I have all the power I could need now, which you have foolishly given me!” Rainbow shot back.

Do you! This is true power! This is the power you could have, or do you like being weak?” Wrath shouted as he slammed his fist on the floor. Suddenly small cracks in the ground opened, and out of them came fire, lightning, chains, and skeletal arms, all lashing out at her.

Rainbow Dash was sent flying across the room. "I will attack with or with out you. Your friends will die!” Wrath bellowed.

They will go to their grave saying you failed them, join us, and you can visit them in hell! The voice pressured.

You are to weak to save anyone, but you can still destroy everyone!” Wrath screamed.

You can be something more! Even if you did save everyone then what? You would be a freak an outcast, a cannibal! The voice had struck a nerve. Something inside of her broke. She sat there trembling for a bit. When she finally spoke her voice was hole and void of emotion.

“Alright, What will you have me do?” She asked to the delight of Wrath.

Minutes latter she was leading the forces of equestrian hell to the surface. The demons climbed the sides or flew with her. Suddenly the flyers wrath had sent to scout a head dropped like rocks and small glowing shafts were crisscrossing the visible sky.

When she surfaced she discovered what it was.

Humans, and they brought an army!

Author’s notes:

"If you paint a beautiful picture of heven few will care. Paint a horrifying picture of hell and people will run to the nearest church and beg God for forgiveness." -some guy from a documentary i watched
