Chapter 7 Mortal Intervention

Before she left, Father Montgomery asked Rainbow Dash if she could teleport himself, Matt, and Twilight to the Canterlot hospital. Rainbow Dash did as asked and with a poof they were just outside of the hospital.

“Ok let’s start looking the sooner we find her the sooner I get my brother back.” Twilight said rushing off towards the front door.

“Hey slow down, you’re going into enemy territory.” Matt called after her.

“What how is this enemy territory?” Twilight asked.

“Well although the majority of the Equestrian chapter was wiped out at Appleosa the remainder of the Canterlot sect is probably still active.” Matt said as he caught up to her.

“Yes and this may not turn your brother back to normal right away but it will still push him in the right direction.” Father Montgomery said as they entered the hospital.

“Speaking of which what are we even doing I was with Rainbow Dash when you two were planning this.” Matt said as they made their way to the section of the hospital used by the royal guard.

“Well, the man who declared Princess Cadence dead when first contact was made, was a suspected member of the satanic order. This was latter confirmed as he was the cult leader Rainbow killed in that cave.” The priest said.

“And because they make bad things happen we think Cadence is still alive and being held in the Royal Guard section of the hospital. They faked her death to get Shining Armor on their side so they could have access to the resources of the Royal Guard.

“Ok here we are she would be somewhere in here so form up on me.” Matt said as he reached for his gun.

“Wait what if they’re just normal guards in there!” Twilight whispered to him.

“Good point let me handle this.” Matt said as he opened the door casually, and walked in.

“Hey, what can we do for you, are you lost since this is our section of the hospital.” A royal guard asked as his two colleges began to approach.

Matt only pulled a copper cross, apparently the symbol of the Vatican Order. This was met with a series of “Oh fuck”s as the three stallions tried to rush him.

Matt pulled out his pistol with his free hand and shot them before they could reach him. Twilight guessed that the tube on the end of the barrel somehow dampened sound, as it was much quieter than Fluttershy’s pistol.

“Ok we don’t know what she looks like so we’ll just follow you now.” The father said to Twilight.

After a minute or so of searching, Twilight found an odd looking container. “Hey what’s this?”

“That’s one of those stasis pods used on old colony ships right?” Matt asked Father Montgomery as he had been around back when stasis pods were still needed.

“Yes I it most defiantly is.” The father asked.

“Well open it!” Twilight said excitedly.

The old priest moved to the control panel, and turned the key. With a hiss the container slid open revealing the pony of the hour.

“Cadence!” Twilight exclaimed as she hugged the just waking alicorn.

“Oh where am I what am I in and how long have I been gone.” Cadence asked still dazed by the stasis.

“Little under half a year now. Twilight I’ll leave her to you would like to be back at the church to greet rainbow Dash when she’s done tying up that last loose end.” Father Montgomery said.

“Ok!” Twilight happily responded.

The trip back to Ponyville was long and tiring, so the elderly priest decide that he could take a nap as it was only evening. However sweet dreams never came.

A voice was whispering of betrayal, fire was everywhere, a filly was crying out Rainbow Dash why? A newspaper flashed by “Second race war on Equestria?”, and a news report could be heard “It’s literal hell down there now, The things that came from below can only be described as demons.”

Then he was on a ship looking out at Equestria and arguing with a soldier. “There are still thousands of ponies down there!”

“Acceptable losses. Now take your seat!” The soldier responded. Then there was a large flash and the planet shattered.

He awoke suddenly from his night terror. He didn’t want to believe it but he had to warn then, to end it before it get’s to bad. He picked up the phone and dialed the number of the U.C.o.E. orbital defense platform. “Howdy father what can I do for ya?” The familiar voice of the support hotline voice said.

Father Montgomery paused, no one would belive him if he said a portal to hell had opened up so he said the one thing that would provoke a full military response. “I believe I found an Annunaki out post at these co-ordinates.” He lied, but he had to.

Private Rodriguez felt the adrenalin rush through his body as the massive god slayer APC crashed through the thick forest. He had been stationed on the opposite side of human controlled space from the fighting, but if the Annunaki were here then they where out flanked and doomed to lose.

The door opened up and he and the rest of the company piled out. There was no base, just a hole in the ground.

Suddenly a winged, tentecled, horned monster flew up from the depths. He raised his LMG but held fire, as looks can be deceiving.

In this case they weren’t as it breathed fire at the soldiers. He fired at it more were coming up now, they were dying before they could do much harm fortunately. There was a whoosh and a bat winged horned cyan pony with a rainbow fire mane was staring down at him.

“What the hell is wrong with this planet?” Was all he could say.
