Chapters A massive screech ripped through Blake's eardrums as his father put all his force onto the break pedal.
The huge tree came crashing down in an instant, but to Blake it felt like he was watching a black and white slow motion film, he watched as the tree made a connection with the ground just infront of the car, for a moment he felt his heart stop, not believing his father's quick reactions.
Both occupants of the car sat there silently as the rain continued pouring down just as heavy as before. Despite the silence only lasting for just over a minute it felt like hours to Blake.
"W-Well, that was certainly a close one."
Blake's father was the first to break the silence.
"Yeah."
Blake was still trying to come to terms with how close he was to death.
"N-Nice r-reactions by the way."
His father nodded, feeling as if enough conversation had been exchanged.
Right now both of them just wanted to get home, well in one piece at least. After a moment of contemplating the incident Blake's father stepped out of the car to examine the tree. He wanted to see if it was possible to move it as it blocked the road.
He approached it, now completely covered in rain water and gave it a nudge, this nudge then became a more forceful pushing movement.
No matter how hard he tried he could not move it. He went over the thought of using the car but came to the conclusion that it would probably cause the car to skid on the spot in the puddles eventually wrecking the engine and tyres.
He returned to the car and just opened the door.
"C'mon kid, we are going to have to walk the rest of the way."
Blake's father had a hint of anger lingering in his voice but he knew there was nothing he could do about it.
"What about the car?"
Blake did not actually care much for his father's possessions but this got him from A to B and to him it was vital.
"I can leave it here til morning, I will call the insurance company later and talk to them about it. Now come on I am soaking here I wanna get home."
Blake let out a sigh and began to undo his seatbelt, it was then the sound of skids caught his father's attention.
He twisted his neck towards the sound and to his horror saw what seemed like an out of control car. It was going even faster than he was before and a blurred face of the driver appeared to be one of horror.
He could only watch as the driver hysterically attempted to turn the wheel but the car was not about to move for him as it slid around the bed and was heading straight for the Ford Blake was sitting in.
Blake's father let out a shout as Blake was about to open his door.
What happened next felt like an eternity for everyone involved.
The front of the speeding car flew into the back of the Ford, denting it heavily and crushing the boot compartment inward, the back windscreen cracked and shattered as the force rippled through the car, eventually reaching the middle.
One of the back door's hinges snapped causing half of it to come out of place and hang from the side of the car.
The opposite door bent inward and became warped as the locking system embedded itself into the carbon fibre which separated it from the front doors.
The force of the impact had shot its way to the front of the car, the drivers seat had practically snapped in half, barely hanging on by a few threads in the leather.
Blake's seat bent and twisted as he was violently ejected from it. He was tossed out of the front windscreen creating a massive hole in it which was then made worse by the force of the impact crushing it just after he went airborne.
When his arm connected forcefully with the windscreen, the bone snapped against the reinforced glass, which proved to be useless during the incident.
By the time his entire body had left the crippled vehicle, he had multiple laceration and shards of glass protruding from his skin.
He flew four metres over the front of the car and the tree before slamming hard against the ground. This caused his shoulder to become dislocated as the sound of snapping bones and bodily fluids splashing filled the air along with the sound of rain crashing down from the sky.
His body twisted in all sorts of manners as he hit the ground, this caused him to roll off the road down the side of a steep hill.
His father could only watch helplessly as his son was tossed down the hill, crashing against trees on his way down.
By this point he was unconscious and completely unaware that his body was now a human rag-doll.
After multiple clashes against trees his body came to a rest in a small embankment of dirt. He lay there covered in blood, twisted and broken, the rain still falling with no sign of slowing.
His face was bloodstained and bruised to such an extent he was almost unrecognisable.
His body was broken and battered, he was in such a state that he might as well of been dead.
Blake lay there for about an hour before his eyes reopened.
The rain was still as heavy, there were still occasional cracks of thunder and lightning strikes.
He had no idea where he was or what had happened, all he remembered was a crippling pain and then
blacking out.
He tried to move his right arm but quickly let out a groan of pain, there was no way he could move
it without discomfort, he knew he had broken it.
He decided to inspect the rest of his body before attempting any sudden movements that may cause
him more pain, he began by slowly moving his legs.
First into the air slightly, then back down, then from side to side. His legs were not in too much
pain, but there was still a sharp stinging sensation in his knee.
He moved his left arm and suddenly felt a massive pain overcome him, he looked at it and saw that
some glass had lodged itself in his arm, a small piece by his elbow and a larger piece centred
in the bottom of his arm. When he moved his arm it caused the glass to tear his skin further making him
wince in agony.
His stomach also small pieces of glass protruding from it through his shirt, aswell as that he
could feel a massive gash on his forehead. He felt the best thing to do in the situation would
be call for help, using his right arm he screamed as he moved it down to his pocket and pulled out
his phone.
The screen was cracked inward and the back had fallen off, but it still worked, barely.
He put in "911" but was unable to get a dial tone, upon further inspection he noticed he had
no reception.
"Just my God-damn luck."
He slowly moved his neck to look around but shouted after doing so.
Something was embedded in the back of his neck, he could tell what but everytime he moved his
neck he could feel the pain grow worse and worse.
There he lay, in a crippled state of pain and agony, unable to even writhe he was so sore.
Cuts all over his body, different objects such as glass, stones and pieces of plastic sticking out
of his skin and multiple broken bones.
He was helpless. He could not move any part of him without feeling pain of some degree.
With his phone still in hand, he attempted to lift it into the air to see if he could get even
one bar of reception.
He slowly craned his arm upwards wincing all the while, resisting the urge to scream.
He held it up there for a few moments and tried to look at the screen from his awkward angle.
"Yes, oh thank God yes!"
He screamed with joy as he saw he had a connection.
A weak one, but it would do.
He punched in the numbers, 9.1.1 again and pressed the call button. As soon as he did that a massive
clash of thunder could be heard from what felt like mere inches away, quickly followed by a lightning
strike.
His face suddenly looked as though it was drained of blood, his pupils dilated and his whole
body went numb.
The lightning had struck him, more specifically his phone, but the current travelled onto him.
His body shook and spazzed as the jolt of electricity shot through out his body.
He saw sparks fly from his phone and then a massive blue light, just before his eyes shut.
Twilight Sparkle began her day like any other day, get up, wake Spike up, have some breakfast
then begin her studies.
She yawned and stretched in her bed as her eyes opened, she raised a hoof up and rubbed her eyes.
"G-Good morning Spike.."
She while yawning.
The only response she received was a muffled groan from the small green and purple dragon, lying
in his bed on the floor.
Twilight only glared at him very unamused, she then decided to give him a few more minutes and headed into the bathroom.
Her horn began to glow and then her manebrush began to glow with it.
Using her magic she lifted her manebrush up to her tossed mane and began brushing, Strand by strand, brush by brush, her mane returned to its common look.
Twilight headed downstairs and walked into her Kitchen, she prepared to make some pancakes for herself and Spike.
As she began to make the mix there was a knock on her door.
"Who would be calling around this early?"
She mumbled under breath, still feeling a bit tired.
She approached the door and opened it, infront of her was an orange pony with a blonde mane tied in a ponytail.
She wore a western style hat and had three apples on her flank, she shaking slightly and was quite pale.
"Applejack, what are you doing here so early? The sun is only barely up."
Twilight said, surprised to see her friend standing there.
"Ah' know and and Ah'm real sorry, but something happened at the farm, ah need your help, if ya' don't mind sugarcube."
"Well, okay, come in Applejack, I was just about to have some breakfast. Do you want some?"
"Ah would rather not, ah just don't seem to have my appetite."
Applejack stepped into the library and closed the wooden door behind her. Twilight led her into the kitchen, Applejackat down as Twilight began to make breakfast again.
"So, what happened Applejack?"
She said as she poured flour into a bowl.
"Well, ih's Big Macintosh."
"Don't tell me he injured himself again, did he?"
"Nah', it's nothing like that."
Upon hearing this Twilight let out a sigh of relief. She then turned her stove up and put the mix into a pan, then placedit on it.
"So what is it then Applejack?"
"Well, ta' tell ya' the truth, for the life of me, I don't know. The other day when Granny Smith and Ah' finished packing
away the water barrels, Big Mac was still out in the orchard. He said he'd be inside in bout' twenty minutes. Then
we went ta' bed."
By now Twilight had sat down to listen to her friends story, she was curious and filled with worry.
"Applebloom came rushin'into mah' room late in the night, screamin' and yellin' bout somethin'. She then told me
to look out the window, when I looked out, there were Royal Guards all over ta' place. But they were wearin'
some weird kinda clothin' Ah aint never seen b'fore."
At this point the mix that Twilight had put into the pan was burnt, she had forgotten about it, intrigued by her friend’s
curious story. If it were not for the smell of smoke she would have completely forgotten about it.
"Just give me one second Applejack."
She stood up and turned the stove off and sat down again.
"Okay, sorry about that."
Normally Twilight would have complained about the mess that was just created, or how she hates burning food, but it was almost
instantly went out of her mind as she was too busy focusing on Applejack's story.
"Ts'all right. Anyway, Ah rushed outside but was grabbed by two of em' uniform fellas'. They brought me back inside
and sat me down. They started sayin' don't tell anypony bout' em bein' there. Ah was too scared ta' say anythin'.
They told me ta' head to bed, so Ah' did and stayed there til' morn. Ah could not sleep a wink, so when mornin'
came round I got up and rushed to Big Mac's room, he was not there. Ah' figured maybe he went out to orchard early
again, so Ah' went out to look."
"Did you find him Applejack?"
Twilight asked hastily.
Spike was standing at the top of the stairs listening in to the story. He only managed to hear a few lines and could not make
out the rest so he decided to go down and see if they would let him join in the conversation.
He stepped down and into the kitchen.
"Well, sugarcube n--"
Applejack was about to reply until Spike had interrupted.
"Morning Twilight, Morning Applejack! What are you doing here?"
"Spike, I need you to go upstairs and stay there for a few minutes."
Twilight said, not wanting the baby dragon to hear anything unpleasant if it arose.
"But, Twilight, I--"
"No buts Spike, go upstairs now!"
He turned mumbling something and walked upstairs feeling annoyed and angry, he mostly wanted some breakfast but the story
must have been interesting if they wanted him gone. He felt it was best not to try and listen because he knew Twilight might
hide his gems again like she does whenever she punishes him.
"I apologise for Spike, Applejack."
Twilight said wanting to hear more of the story.
Applejack nodded and began again.
"Where was Ah? Oh,yeah. No, Ah' did not find Big Mac. Granny and Ah were so scared, we figured that those
fellars' in ta' uniforms took him. We stayed at home all day, incase Big Mac came back."
"So, did he?!"
Twilight said now worrying more than ever for the safety of her friend, she was still curious about why Royal Guard
were at the farm too.
"Yesterday, he arrived home. He was shakin' and he was pale. His eyes were red and he would not say a word.
We ran up and hugged him but he jus' stood there. Not even acknowledgin' us. Right now Granny and Applebloom
are takin' care of him, but he jus' wont speak. He was scared stiff."
"That is terrible, Applejack. Listen I will quickly grab my book on Equestrian Guards. Maybe it can explain
who those guards were and what they were doing."
Twilight replied jumping from her chair and rushing into the room with books crammed on every shelf.
She ran in and grabbed a book labelled, "Guards of Equestria, Roles and purposes."
Using her magic she picked up a saddle bag near by and strapped it onto her back before placing the book in it.
She trotted to the kitchen.
"Shall we get going Applejack?"
She said awaiting for a reply.
Applejack nodded and stood up.
"Spike, there is an emergency I have to go out, I am sure you can make yourself some breakfast!"
Twilight shouted upstairs to the baby dragon, after hearing he must make his own breakfast he groaned. He was about to
shout down to Twilight but before he knew it, the sound of the door shutting reverberated into his ear drums.
He sighed and stepped down into the kitchen.
"I can't make breakfast, Twilight used the last of the mix."
He said letting another large sigh.
"Just my luck..."
Just as a quick note to all my readers, thank you for the great response! This is my 2nd fanfic and people are being so nice. Unfortunatly school started up this week, so expect chapters to be out a bit later than before, maybe 3-6 days. I will try my best to get them out as fast as I can but I want to keep the quality in it. Thank you for reading everypony!
A deafening creek of an old wooden door with rusty hinges was the only sound to fill the room.
The door opened wider, revealing Twilight Sparkle and Applejack, standing beside each other. Twilight was trying to hide her worry but was not doing a very good job.
Her actions were swift but slightly careless and her eyes had a look of uneasy in them.
No conversation was exchanged as they stepped into the farm house, the floors were made from wooden planks, all of them seemed quite old. Near the entrance there was a small orange rug covered in dirt and soil, it had a slight tear in the side, it was clear that constant abuse from the hooves clashing against it as ponies tried to scrap the dirt off themselves had taken its toll.
Applejack let out a small sigh and stepped behind the door, waiting for Twilight to come in. Twilight trotted in, the same worried yet curious look spread across her face.
Applejack hinted towards the doorway which led into the kitchen, Twilight could hear sounds of hooves banging off wood, this sound seem to happen in a rhythmic pattern.
Both, the earth-pony and the unicorn remained quiet as they stepped into the kitchen.
The kitchen was of a decent size, with counter-tops that ran all the way around it. It had a homey-country feel to it, precious decorated plates hung on the wall, along with a few paintings, mostly of animals out in fields. There was an aroma of freshly cooked bread. On one of the counter-tops lay a bread pan, the steam still rising off it. A green fragile looking pony with a white diluted mane stood over it.
"Granny, Twilight isa' here."
Applejack spoke in a firm tone.
Twilight's eyes were still trailing around the room, until they spotted something.
In the far corner as a red stallion. His hoof was tapping against the wood on the chair in which he was sitting upon.
He did this monotonously every few seconds. Twilight analysed him for a few moments before turning to Applejack.
"May I?"
Asked Twilight.
"Go ahead, sugarcube. Jus' be careful, we still dunno' how much he changed."
Twilight nodded and trotted over to the red stallion.
"Big Macintosh?"
Twilight said in a soft, soothing voice.
Applejack's brother darted his eyes towards Twilight, his pupils were tiny and his eyes were shaking slightly, along with the rest of his body.
"Big Macintosh, I am here to help, is that okay?"
Twilight still kept her calming voice while speaking to him.
Big Macintosh resumed tapping the wood every few seconds as if Twilight was not there. Only his eyes showed that he knew she was there, the rest of his body remained unchanged since she arrived.
Twilight was starting to become a bit annoyed with the lack of response. Not many things annoyed her but being ignored was something that seriously frustrated her.
Using her magic, she undone the buckle on her saddlebag then levitated out the book she brought from the library.
She sat on a wooden stool for about five minutes, scanning through the book. Granny Smith had returned to her now cold loaf of bread, she began slicing it slowly. Applejack on the other hand was watching Twilight closely, incase Big Macintosh did something unexpected. It was not something Applejack would normally have to worry about but right now he was very unpredictable, despite not making a single sudden movement since he returned home.
After a few more minutes of hoof tapping, bread slicing and page turning, Twilight turned the book to face Big Macintosh and held it close to him.
His eyes moved down and stared at the page. On the page was the same kind of pony that Applejack had described.
Instantly, Big Macintosh's eyes widen as he tried to speak. Applejack jumped from the chair and stood next to Twilight.
Big Mac's hoof had stopped tapping the wood as he eye-balled the page.
"T-Them.."
He spoke quietly with his voice trembling.
"Who?"
Twilight said, trying to sound like Fluttershy, being almost unheard.
"T-Tha' ones....Them!"
By now, Big Macintosh had began rubbing his head with one hoof, still staring at the page.
"Big Macintosh...Who are they?"
"They're ta' ones....t-t-them...t-they..t-t-t"
Big Macintosh continued rambling, completely oblivious to the fact his own eyelids began drooping down slowly, eventually covering both his eyes as his head gently leaned to one side.
"Twi', w-what do ya' think just happened?"
Applejack said with confusion hinting in her voice.
"I have no idea Applejack, but I do know these Guards must have been the ones who did this to him."
"Well, atleast he is catchin' some shut eye."
Twilight was about to speak until the sound of trumpets and horns, rung in her ear.
Twilight suddenly began to be overcome with fear, many thoughts ran through her mind.
'Did the Princess Schedule a visit, if so how did I forget?! What if it is not the Princess, but instead those Guards, Oh no, what if they did the same thing to the Princess!?'
By now Applejack had left the room and opened the front door, Twilight still in a state of panic trying to work out her own mind.
"Twi! Princess Celestia is here! Maybe she can help!"
Applejack called out.
Twilight, upon hearing this dashed for the front door and quickly dropped on to her hooves. The Princess was standing right infront of her, Applejack was bowing and Royal Guards stood around her carriage.
"Twilight Sparkle."
The princess declared.
With this Twilight rose on the spot, looking into the eyes of Celestia. Celestia trapped her as her eyes shot at her.
She stared deep into Twilight's eyes before speaking.
"Twilight, I need you to come with me now."
Twilight, not wanting to ask knowing that the Princess always had a just cause for doing things, nodded.
She took a step out of the farm house before Applejack spoke up.
"Princess, may Ah' come along?"
Princess, stared at Applejack before answering.
"Of course you can. We still need to get the other elements of harmony."
Apple jack looked at the Princess then asked;
"What is going on anyway, Princess."
The Princess closed her eyes and shook her head, hinting towards the carriage.
Applejack exhaled, and began her slow walk to the carriage.
She could sense, whatever it was, was big.
Getting into the carriage behind Twilight she sat. The Princess then got in and sat infront of them.
"Now, we need to get the others..."
One more small note. I know this chapter is not as exciting as others, but I needed some filler to get things moving between Celestia and the story. The next chapter will be alot more exciting I promise. Thank you for reading and comments are welcomed! ^^
Pinkie pie was jumping about in Sugar Cube corner, helping Mr & Mrs.Cake, with their baking.
She brought Them different coloured food dyes, bags of sugar and also shakers of sprinkles.
This was done in an upbeat, skippy manner like always, she hopped and skipped from room to
room, gathering the materials and ingredients. This continued for about forty minutes
until the order was complete.
Mr. & Mrs.Cake, don't often leave Pinkie in-charge of the bakery due to a few mishaps
that happened before, but today they had an important errand to do.
"Pinkie, dear. We must be going, we need to make sure our stall at the Ponyville fair
is perfect or if it needs work done. We wont be gone too long and there are only two
orders for you to complete while we are gone."
Mrs.Cake, said while taking off her apron.
"Okie dokie lokie, you can count on Pinkie pie!"
She said in a humourous tone.
"See you later, deary. Just remember no--"
She was intterrupted by Mr.Cake pulling her out of the door, wanting to get to the fair in a
hurry. The fair was always his favourite event, he always wanted it to be perfect.
"Bu-bye!"
Pinkie closed the door, and hopped towards the kitchen to begin the orders.
The kitchen was a vibrant one with pink walls a bursts of white painted onto them. The
cupboards were white, with a pink floral design ontop and a shiny purple knob.
The counter-tops were a light green with black metal strips seperating them at the joints.
Tiles on the floor, were a subtle yellow with a red diamond shape in them, the door was
wooden and pink, with a love-heart carved into the upper part of it.
Pinkie skipped to the oven, which sat on the left side of the room. She began to set it to a
temperature to begin preheating. As the oven warmed up she went to the fridge to retrieve
ingredients.
In a flash, she had grabbed all the nessecary ingredients; Eggs, milk, butter and of course,
A cupcake.
Because baking was hungry work.
She placed them on the counter-top, before she glanced at them looking for what else she needed.
Her ears began lowering slightly as she began thinking of what the order was.
"How could I forget?"
She said to no-pony in particular.
She remained still for a few more seconds before springing full of life again, her ears
shot up, her mane puffed out and she leapt towards a cupboard nearby.
"Flour, Flour, Flour, Flo-Here it is!"
Pinkie reached her head into the cupboard and grabbed the unopened bag of flour with her teeth.
She began pulling it out, struggling slightly.
The front part of the bag was out and was hanging in mid-air.
She continued pulling until the entire bag was out, but as it all came out and dropped, it
caused it to slip out of her grasp.
The bag hit the ground with a gentle thump.
A cloud of flour blinded her as it spread across the room.
"Whoopsie!"
Pinkie said still dazed and blinded.
A few moments passed and she opened her eyes.
The kitchen was a mess.
"Oh no, not again! Mr. & Mrs.Cake are going to be so mad if they see I did it again.
NO. I must clean this up!"
Pinkie's voiced switched from a worried voice to a stern, commanding voice as she spoke.
Pinkie, twisted and shook her body to remove the flour that was on her, she then proceded
to skip out of the kitchen.
It was then, that the bell from the door opening rang.
"Yay, customers! Welcome to Sugar Cube Co--"
She stopped midsentence seeing that it was Applejack and Twilight. Not only that but the
Princess of the sun too.
"W-What are you doing here?"
She questioned the Princess, Twilight and Applejack.
"Pinkie, we need you to come with us. The princess has something very important that
involves us."
"That means a journey! OH, And a journey means an adventure! Oh my gosh an adventure!
That important-thingy is not a treasure chest by any chance is it Princess?"
Pinkie let out a giggle and began hopping on the spot.
"Pinkie Pie. This is no time for jokes. I'm gathering all of the Elements Of Harmony,
because I need your help."
The Princess said, standing tall.
"Ohhhhhhh. Hmm. Well, I can't go now. The kitchen is a mess, and Mr. & Mrs.Cake did not
like it too well the last time this happened."
"Pinkie, you must come with us now. I don't often do this but, Pinkie. I am ordering you
as Princess of the sun and Equestria. Come with us now."
Pinkie stared at the Princess as if she was some kind of idiot for a moment.
"Okie dokie lokie! I just gotta go and turn off the oven!"
"Fine, but please do hurry."
Pinkie moved almost as fast as a sonic rainboom when she shot into the kitchen, turned off the
flour covered oven and then came back out.
Her hooves now left a white dusty, on where she trotted.
"Let us hurry, we still need the Elements of Kindness, Generosity and loyalty."
Princess Celestia declared as she motioned for Pinkie Pie to head out into the awaiting carriage,
All four of the ponies got into the carriage and prepared to give a certain yellow pegasus a visit.
Fluttershy was out by the chicken coop, like she is most mornings.
She was spreading chicken feed out for them to eat, making sure even the smaller, weaker ones got their
fair share without being hurt by the bigger ones.
The chicken coop was at the side of Fluttershy's cottage.
She lived on the outskirts of the Everfree forest. The thatched roof of her cottage often had many kinds
of birds nesting in it. She did not mind, as long as the animals were happy she would be happy too.
The walls were a dull white, but they were hard to keep clean with animals running around near the house,
dirt was bound to end up on it.
Fluttershy had finishes feeding the chickens and had placed the empty sack, from which the food was held, upon a small crate to the side of the chicken coop.
She suddenly felt a draft tickle against her coat, then the draft become more of like a strong breeze.
Turning to see where the sudden rush of air had come from, she saw Princess Celestia's carriage about to land near her.She tensed up. No matter how many times she had spoken to the Princess, she was still shy and nervous.
As the Carriage touched down, she saw three of her friends sitting in the back. She felt relieved knowing her friends were there and that things would not be as awkward for her.
The Princess stepped out of the carriage along with; Twilight, Pinkie and Applejack.
Fluttershy trotted over and bowed, before standing up to face the Princess, still feeling shy.
"Fluttershy, I need you to come with your friends and I. All will be explained in due time, but for now I need you to know that this is a matter of great importance."
Princess Celestia said making sure not to scare the shy pegasus.
Fluttershy let out a small squeak upon hearing it is important, she simply nodded, not wanting to accidentally ask too much, incase she angered the Princess.
She moved hesitantly towards the carriage and got in beside Applejack, as Celestia also got into place.
"Who is left?"
Celestia said smirking a slight bit.
"Hold still, Rainbow Dash, you are making me miss the stitching"
Rarity exclaimed, almost stabbing herself with the threading needle.
"How in Celestia's mane did I let you talk me into this?"
Rainbow Dash said moaning.
"Oh stop whining Rainbow, you will look fabulous when it is done, besides...what is that saying, you pegasus say...No pain..no...I don't remember--"
"No pain no gain! And I live by it!"
Rainbow interrupted and practically shouted in the boutique.
"Well then stop complaining, and scoot a little to the left."
The cyan pegasus sighed and her face soon become a bored, blank expression.
She inched a bit to the left as Rarity continued stitching the white and purple dress that Rainbow Dash wore.
With each swift movement of the hoof, a stitch went in, and a needle came out, until the frilled ended of the dress was completed.
"There we go, the frills are fabulous with the vintage white at the tips. Don't you think so too, Rainbow dear?"
Rainbow just sighed again,
"Can I go now?"
"Oh, what, oh..Y-yes, yes you can, just let me take that dre--"
Rarity was stopped mid-sentence by the sight a large white Alicorn standing in her doorway, with several other smaller figures behind her.
"P-P-Princess Celestia?!"
Rarity said in a daze as she witnessed the most royal being in all of Equestria standing in her store.
Rainbow Dash was casually looking at the Princess as she struggled to get herself out of the dress. Celestia darted her eyes at Rainbow Dash before looking back towards Rarity.
"Miss.Rar--"
Before Celestia could finish her sentence, Rarity was holding three dresses and almost shoving them in her face.
"This would look great with your mane oh and this with your cutie mark and oh my gosh this would be grea--"
Celeste raised a hoof and Rarity stopped her excited hysteria.
"Miss.Rarity, I am not here on a shopping trip."
Celestia said in a stern voice making sure she was not misinterpreted.
"I am here on a more serious issue and I would really like it if you would come with me and your friends, all will explained in due time."
Rainbow Dash's ears perked up upon hearing this, and shot over, the dress trailing behind her.
"Some problem?! We can handle it Princess! Don't you worry we can handle it!"
Celestia could not help but giggle.
"Just come one...all will be explained"
With that Celestia turned and lead them to the Carriage.
'Knock Knock'
This sound reverberated into Rainbow Dash's ear drums.
She wanted to ignore it. She wanted sleep more, hell, atleast just lie in bed a little longer.
As much as she wanted to, she knew she could not.
Today was important.
'Knock Knock'
The sound came again, this time stronger.
"Yeah, yeah, don't get your mane in a twist, I'm getting up."
Rainbow shouted to who ever was outside.
She arose from the bed and extended all her limbs and yawned. Her wings up high along with her legs, which were
stretched with a few cracking sounds been produced during the process.
She brought them back in and jumped onto her hooves, then walked to the door, again, comepletly
ignoring the items on the table nearby.
She opened the well painted steel door, yawning as she did so. She peered out of the small gap
that she had created.
Infront of her stood a large white stallion covered in gold armour.
"Miss.Dash."
"Yeah?"
"The Princess' are expecting you."
Rainbow Dash let out an exaggerated sigh.
"Upstairs? Come on...Even with my wings I would still be exhausted."
"Not upstairs."
The stallion nudged his head in the direction of the door that Celestia said not to open.
"Oh. Alright."
Rainbow Dash said as she stepped out and closed the door.
The Guard stared at her with a dumbfounded look.
"Eyes off, bub."
Guard blushed at her response, but also let out a small chuckle.
"Forgetting something?"
He asked in a mocking tone.
"Heck no! The Dash is set, primed and ready to go!"
He coughed signifying she was forgetting something.
"What?!"
She asked, getting frustrated.
He let out a sigh.
"Did you even read the note?"
"What note?"
Upon hearing this he let out another sigh and his tone turned to an unamused one.
"The note Celestia left you, detailing what she needed you to do."
Rainbow Dash stared at him with a blankface.
"Uhh?"
He let out an angry grunt and decided not to bother.
"Just...come on."
He said leading her to the door.
Using just the power of his hoof, the guard opened the door. It led into a room with yet another door.
This door was different though.
It had massive locking system, it looked extremely complicated, there was also no handle, no valve, nothing that an earth
or pegasi pony could use to open it.
The door itself was made of a hard metal substance, unseen by Rainbow Dash. It was black with a few silver and copper
bolts protruding from various parts.
The guard approached the door and closed his eyes.
It was not long until his horn began to glow. Rainbow Dash heard him make a few grunts as he did this and soon enough
he had opened his eyes.
As his eyes opened, Rainbow Dash could feel the blood draining from her face. His eyes were glowing, just like when Twilight
used her element.
Rainbow Dash was terrified and did a terrible job of hiding it.
The locks bagan to shift and turn as the sound of moving gears filled the room, Rainbow Dash still feeling terrified.
It was not long until the door had opened fully, Rainbow Dash kept her eyes on the guard's eyes closed and opened again.
Both of them stared at each other as the light in his eyes began to dim, Rainbow still unaware that just passed the door way
stood her friends holding various items and staring at her.
"C'mon in Dashie!"
Shouted Pinkie Pie.
Rainbow Dash got frightened by this as she was still in her weak, easily excited trance, she jumped and screamed.
Pinkie just giggled.
"Pinkie Pie! Don't just scare me like that."
Upon hearing this, Pinkie giggled more.
"Oho, Dashie, Scared you, huh?"
Rainbow dash flushed red.
"NO!I mean..um..I just.."
"Will you two please be quiet? We have more important things to deal with right now."
A frustrated Twilight interrupted.
Rainbow Dash & Pinkie Pie each gave a glare that could cut steel before looking at Princess Celestia who was standing
at the end of the room.
"Thank you Twilight."
Princess Celestia spoke in a calm voice.
"Miss.Dash, did you bring the cloud?"
"The Cloud?"
Rainbow Dash replied, tilting her head in confusion.
"Miss.Dash, I left you various items on your bedroom table, did you not see them?"
"Uhh....M..May..be?"
All of the ponies let out a sigh, both of anger and dissapointment.
"Miss.Dash, on your table I left you a bucking bag to practice your kicks, and I also left you a small device. The prime
Pegasi scientists here in the lower levels, designed it. It creates small clouds. We needed you to manipulate a cloud and turn
it into a mini-lightning cloud. Just incase, out guest needed some, light, punishment."
"Guest?"
Twilight asked.
"Punishment?"
Rarity followed, agasped.
"My little ponies, all of your questions are about to be answered. Silver Shine, if you will."
Celestia said, first adressing the ponies infront of her and then the pegasus behind her, he was dressed once again in
golden armour, just like the last one.
The pegasus walked to the open door that Rainbow Dash came in from. He shut it tight usig the valve on the door. It seemed
as if only one side had a locking system that could be used by all kinds of pony.
He then returned to his post at the end of the room and nodded at Celestia, she then nodded back.
"Okay, everypony, things might get a bit blurry."
Before anypony could ask a question Celestia spread her wings and her horn began to light up.
She stood in the center of the room with her eyes shut tight. With each moment that passed her horn light more and more.
Soon, Applejack noticed a symbol appearing on the floor, it was made of light being emmited from Celestia.
It was in a star shape, with many lines shooting out from the center of it.
Suddenly, everything began rushing past their faces, they felt a stronge breeze, pushing against them from below.
As if they were, falling.
Fluttershy let out many sounds and kept her eyes sealed tight.
Rarity however, kept a hoof on her mane, worried about it being messed up and damaged by what was happening.
As stopped as quickly as it began.
Each pony's vision was hazy and blurred, everything was in blobs of indistingusable colour and shapes.
Twilight's vision was the first to return, she began to examine the room while the others struggled to regain themselves.
She noticed how nothing had changed.
'Nothing has changed. Not a single thing. Except'
She glanced at the door, as she began to contemplate things in her head.
'Except. Except...The door!'
She thought to herself.
Twilight looked at Celestia, who looked as if she had been sleeping for the last one thousand years. Celestia merley smiled.
"Everypony ready?"
Celestia asked.
Only Twilight heard this because the other pony's ears were ringing and eyes were still not settled.
"I will take that as a no, then."
Celestia said aloud to herself.
"Princess. What did you do?"
Twilight questioned, intrigued by the raw amount of magical power that went into the spell she had just cast, and yet, all
Twilight could see to show for it was, a slightly brighter shade of silver on a metallic door.
The other ponies had just managed to regain their composure as Celestia began;
"Well, you see Twilight, this castle goes deep. Very, Deep, into ground, we are many many miles below sea level right now.
Only magic can get you that low underground. We were at the very lowest you could go without magic a few moments ago. Now, we
are at the very lowest you can go with only magic. This, this is where the class 3 and upwards incidents are dealt with."
"Class 3?"
Twilight inquired.
"Yes. Class 3. You see. Crimes, incidents, magic and weather is all recorded in different classes. For instance.
Crimes are measured in serverity. Ranging from class 1, pety theift, to class 3, endangerment of lives. Incidents, the same
depending on how dangerous it is. Magic is measured in the power of the spell. So, class 1 magic is simple tricks, like
levitation, or creating smoke. Class 3 is again endangerment of lives through the power of magic. And finally weather, but
by now I am sure you get the picture. The thing is though. Those are just the public classes. We show them to likes of police
ponies and low ranking government and enforcement ponies. Class 4 to class 6 are milatary and high ranking officials only."
"W-W-What's class f-f-four upwards?"
To everypony's surprise, Fluttershy had spoken up.
"Class four upwards in crime, is essentially terrorism, Or endanger of the masses. In Incidents, it can vary.
From confidentiality, government problems to even scientific ones. The incident you will all be seeing and dealing with is
a class 5 incident."
"And that would be?"
Asked Twilight.
"Confidentiallity. Which also means we can't talk here, so please, let's go."
With that, Celestia had walked to the door which opened, without any need for magic, it just slide into the wall, as if it detected that she was close.
The young ponies were amazed by the door, but knew they had no time to waste and quickly moved beside the Princess.
They were walking down a long corridor, with doors to each side of them, each door had a serial number carved into the front of it, and each door had warning signs on it.
The area was lit by those same glowing rectangles on the roof. Everything in the corridor seemed metallic and even steampunked.
As they neared the end of the corridor, they began to notice a heavier presence of royal guards.
Each holding weapons.
This shocked them, as guards normally do not hold weapons, not even the pegasi. Just from this, they could tell something big was about to happen.
Celestia stopped, her actions quickly mimicked by the curious ponies beside her.
"Ready?"
Celestia said to a nearby guard, who seemed to be wearing a different sort of armour to others.
"Yes, your highness."
He spoke in a clear, tough tone. He came off as a leader kind of pony.
And with that, several guards moved out of Celestia's way, unveiling a large golden door, of which a picture of Celestia and Luna was carved into it.
And there, standing in a corner nearby, was Luna herself.
She looked a bit better than she had the previous day and seemed as if she was wearing a thicker, shinier kind of armour.
Both nodded and approached the door, the 6 ponies still standing in their places.
The two alicorns placed their horns into small holds on the side of the door. By now, the all too familiar sound of turning locks had filled the room.
Anticipation and tension was hard for the young ponies to hide. Everypony could read their faces like books.
This was it....
Some notes; I know, I know, "Cliffhangers blah blah", I have good reason though. School work has been keeping me busy, I also have quite alot to do over the weekend so I am not sure if I will even get a start on the next chapter. I Kind of have OCD when it comes to these things, I like to get atleast 1 chapter a week out. So here you are. Again sorry for the cliffhanger, I promise that you will find out what happens in the next chapter. Pinkie promise, I cannot break that. :D Thanks for reading!
All the ponies stood with their mouth's wide open, still taking in the sight.
They were standing in a white, cleansed room. It had tables all around it, with no pictures or photos hanging on the walls.
The only thing that stopped the walls from looking so bear was a mirror. It was on the left wall. It ran from one end to the other, and for some reason, Twilight had sensed that something about this mirror was not right. She felt as if something was off, but only after these thoughts had shot through her mind had she turned to look at the real spectacle.
In the centre of the room was a table.
A metal, silver table, surrounded by smaller ones with medical equipment on it.
Rainbow Dash thought to herself that the room looked like that of the ones in Canterlot Hospital. She remembered how she ended up in the hospital. There was that one colt, that one that always annoyed her. So, with her ego getting the best of her she challenged him.
It ended with him being stuck in a tree and Rainbow Dash suffering a bruised wing, but even worse, a bruised sense of pride.
No pony actually won the race, but that meant that she did not win.
Suddenly, the thoughts were interrupted by Celestia moving forward to the metal table.
Atop the table was something bulky, covered in a white blanket. Many wires from nearby medical machines were attached to it.
Each different coloured wire was connected to some sort of machine. Each with some sort of flashing light, beeping sound or digital screen.
"Now, My little ponies. Here we are. I can finally put the suspense in you to rest, but first, please put the items you brought with you on that table by the mirror."
And with that, the six mares with the exception of Rainbow Dash placed their items down onto the table;
Twilight's book that she had brought for some last minute studying,
Rarity's strange outfit,
Applejack's cider,
Pinkie's treats,
And Fluttershy's first aid kit, which she thought she would need.
Next, all the ponies quietly walked over to the table. They were all nervous to see what lay underneath the blanket.
"Well. Let's get this done, shall we?"
And with that, Celestia's horn lit up. The blanket began to glow along with it.
The blanket began to raise from the table, revealing some strange pink and white blended texture. Everypony's heart was racing as the blanket rose fully off the table. Revealing a creature, in which, non have seen the likes of before.
Everypony let out a gasp and Rarity even fainted, but it was just her being overly dramatic and she quickly recovered.
"What is that thing?"
Twilight asked staring at it.
"I am not sure, this is what was found at the farm."
Replied Celestia.
Before Twilight could begin her bombardment of questions Applejack barged into the conversation.
"This thing was at tha' farm?! Is this tha' thing that made Big Macintosh the way he is, huh?!"
"No, no, no. Well yes. You see, remember the class system I was telling you about? Well, we were alerted that a class 5 amount of magic was being used outside the Castle's grounds, which is prohibited. I sent out the guards to deal with it. They came back with much, much more. You see. Where ever this thing came from, it used some kind of magic to get here, but something tells me that it was not done purposely. Now, about your brother, Big..M-M-"
"Macintosh!"
Applejack nearly screamed.
"Y-Yes... Well, he got a glimpse of this creature. We needed to just do a quick spell on him to make him forget it. Unfortunately...there were...some complications. He was less than cooperative and when the spell was being applied, he caused an issue. Which, may have traumatised him. I decided to just let him go. The effects would wear off soon anyway and I needed all my resources on keeping this creature a secret."
Applejack, despite being pent up with rage, was an understanding pony and knew why the Princess did this.
She was also relieved to hear that the effects would wear off.
"Would you ponies care to take a look?"
Celestia asked smiling, stepping back.
"We can?"
Asked Pinkie.
Celestia mearly nodded at within a fraction of a second, Pinkie had shot across to the face of the human. There were a few scars and small bruises, nothing major though.
Pinkie next touched his face with her hoof as the other ponies just watched in amazement at how enthusiastic she was to get a closer look.
"Umm...P-Pinkie..Maybe you should not do that."
Twilight said, worriedly.
"But c'mon Twilight! It is squishy!"
Pinkie began poking his face more.
Rainbow Dash and Rarity were still taking in the shear size of this creature. It could easily overpower two, maybe even three ponies at once.
'I can take it...'
Rainbow thought to herself.
"Is...Is it alive?"
Fluttershy squeeked, as everypony turned to her after hearing her ask it.
"Well, we believe so. It's anatomy is not too different from our own, our magic also works well, but only on some parts of his body, nearer the head the magic's effect is weaker."
"He?"
Applejack said.
"Yes. We have determined that it is infact a male."
Everypony blushed red for a moment before turning to it.
"So...If it is alive, why is it not waking up?"
Twilight asked as she reached a hoof out to touch its foot.
"We are not too sure why exactly that is. Our attempts to wake him using magic have been fruitless to say the least.
We get a slight reaction before he resumes his slumber."
"Have you tried Lightnin' zappin'?"
An unexpected question from Rainbow Dash had come out.
"Lightning, Zapping? What ever could that be?"
"Well, when I was a little filly, you know, much like now, fast, gorgeous, the best flier around..."
Everypony rolled their eyes.
"...I used to sleep like a log. Still do! Anyways, my parents would wake me up by getting a small cloud and using the lightning strike to hit beside me. Always worked. My Dad would call it Lightnin' Zappin'."
"I doubt that would work, we have tried some serious magic on this creature, nothing has worked."
"But Princess, it could be worth a shot."
Said Twilight, emerging from examining the creature some more.
Celestia let out a sigh.
"I will...consider it....In the mean time let me fill you in on what is happening."
Celestia walked over to the table by the large mirror and nodded at her reflection, before picking up a folder, labeled:
CLASSIFIED.
CANTERLOT USE 2.2.2.7
MANE DATE CODE 96628
CS LEVEL: 5
AUTHORISATION: LIMITED
CONSOLE CODE: B222789
V.A.T: S.A.A ID
She opened it and levitated it infront of her.
"Ahem...now..I--Actually..Here...take a look for yourselves, I will prepare some things to show you."
She levitated it towards Twilight as she said this, before Twilight took over control of it using her own magic.
Everypony huddled up beside her and began reading the page;
ELEMENT STACK UP, PROJECT 7B
- 23-9-32
The creature is in a stable state. It is in the best achieved state possible, despite it's complications earlier it seems to be doing well. Progress has been made. Magic appears to work in areas of the body in which less brain activity is available, damage to the skill and inflammation and bruising of the face has also subsided significantly.
The Princesses are deliberating on what to do.
-Signed,
Gold Stone.
- 24-9-32
The creature has responded to the awakening spells, it was short and light, but it was a response none the less.
Anatomy will be checked by 09:00. The Princesses have finally decided to use the elements. They will arrive within in 2 days. Concelment of information will be kept strict and any guidelines broken will be dealt with severely.
-Signed
Gold Stone.
- 25-9-32
The creature has shown more life signs, positive too. Magic is still unusable mentally, but phsically it faces no resistance. Anatomy has finished. [[REDACTED]] Has come to the conclusion that the creature is either omnivore or carnivore. He strongly suggested restraints. Another consideration.
The Elements have arrived and their purpose will be readied.
They are needed to help awaken and welcome/restrain the creature. Both sectors are considering the consequences of its presence.
-Signed
Gold Stone.
By the time they had finished ready, Celestia was standing over the creature, holding a scalpel.
"A new assignment begins...."
The ponies walked right up to the table as Celestia placed the scalpel to the right arm of thecreature.
Fluttershy was cringing and about to cry.
"Stop!"
Fluttershy shouted as Celestia was about to press down.
"W-Will it hurt him?"
Celestia smirked and looked at the yellow pegasus.
"No, no, there is no need to worry, he has not woken since we found him nor has he shown any signs of reaction or response."
Fluttershy still was not satisfied with the answer and felt that she should at least do something so she placed his hand in her hoof, thinking she was reassuring it.
"Now, let's continue."
Celestia said beginning to create a small cut.
Twilight had moved around beside Celestia to get a good look, followed by Pinkie on the opposite side. Rarity was trying not to look but she could not help herself, she was intrigued by what the princess was doing. Applejack meanwhile was standing on the other side of the table watching, she was clearly very interested but was not speaking much.
Celestia began to draw blood in the small incision she had just made.
"Notice anything?"
Celestia said turning to Twilight.
"Blood?"
Celestia nodded.
"It’s anatomy is very similar to ours, here, touch it, the texture is also similar."
Twilight hesitantly held her hoof out and touched the small pool of blood, now running off his arm. She dipped it slightly in the blood for a moment and then took it out.
"Well?"
Celestia said, using her magic to levitate a cloth over from a nearby table.
"You're right, but, the chances of this are-"
"Near impossible? Yes Twilight I know, the chances of even finding something else out there were near impossible, but here we are. The fact its anatomy is almost identical to our own is an amazing coincidence, although we still have a lot to learn."
By now Twilight had dried her hoof and levitated the cloth back to Celestia who then used it to clean the cut.
"Now, the next thing I want to show you."
Celestia spoke moving towards the head.
"We have discovered that magic is less effective near the head. We think this may be due to the creature's brainwaves, although our knowledge about our own brains is still lacking we are considering that to be the most likely cause. Now, anyway, look here..."
Celestia had put her hoof at the lips of the creature and began opening his mouth.
"Well, take a look and tell me what you see..."
Each pony examined the inside of the mouth, looking at the teeth, gums and tongue.
Rarity was taken back as she looked inside and even let out a dramatic gasp.
"Would you just look at the teeth on it?! That thing could probably devour us whole!"
"Good observation... We have noticed that the teeth do look like they have evolved for shredding and tearing meat. Yet at the back we have teeth that look like they are ready to crush and rip vegetables and fruits. Right now we think it is an omnivore, but we are not taking any chances in the next part."
Celestia replied in a more serious tone.
All the while, Fluttershy was still holding the hand of the creature.
"Uhh...Next part?"
Asked confused Applejack.
"Yes. The reason why you are here."
Celestia's horn began to light up guards came into the room with Luna and stood at the mirror and door. Celestia was
using her magic on straps placed on the bottom of the table. The came up from underneath and went over the hands, next they went under the hands and back to the underside of the table and knotted itself. The creature was strapped to the table.
"We need you to wake the creature."
Each pony gave a dumbfounded look.
"How?"
Asked Twilight.
"With these..."
Luna approached with two guards behind her, each were holding a small golden box, lined on the outside with red velvet and gems encrusted onto the edges of the lid. They walked a few feet in front of Celestia and bowed, before relinquishing their grip on the box and allowing Celestia's magic to take them. In mid-air, the box opened and inside were the necklaces and crown that were once worn when the Elements of Harmony were being used. They began to move towards each pony, with a dazzling aura of light surrounding them.
"Using the elements we will wake it. Now, Precautions everypony."
Almost as if programmed the guards got into positions as four guards walked just behind Celestia, each holding a sharpened metal pole and each having their unicorn horns ready to fire.
"You each need to be touching it and do not let go. It will start to take over. This will be a lot different than when you were fighting Nightmare Moon or Discord. So, good luck."
Fluttershy was gripping the hand tight as the necklace wrapped itself around her in unison with everypony else's
piece of jewellery.
"Let's begin."
Celestia closed her eyes and lit up her horn.
Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Applejack, Twilight and Rainbow Dash all placed their hooves on the bare, cold skin.
Small sparks of light began to dance around the room with excitement. Jumping and increasing speed each time it clashed with the walls of the room and eventually each landed on the body.
They disappeared into the skin and quickly shot back out, before getting sucked back in. This repeated for a few seconds as all the power in the room was directed onto Celestia's horn and the elements.
Each piece of jewellery on the ponies lit up and began to get pulled towards the body, if they were not so strong the
chain piece would have broken and flown straight at body. Symbols of light shot out from each pony and they all combined in mid-air as Luna lit her horn up.
She sent a beam of light straight up, splitting the combination in half. The light fell onto the body and was, just like
the sparks, absorbed by the skin.
The eyelids of the body began moving as if it were in R.E.M. The bright lights from the elements and the horns began to
subside as the room got dimmer.
Celestia's eyes were tight shut as sweat ran down her face. Every other pony stared at the body in anticipation as the
eyelids continued to move frantically. A small sigh suddenly came from the mouth of the creature.
Every pony held their breath, as their eyes widened with excitement.
The body suddenly began glowing, whilst Celestia opened her eyes again.
Suddenly every pony was thrown against the walls of the room as the power that was put into the body violently exerted itself, each bolt of power hit the ponies like a massive buck to the chest. Each smacked against the wall with tremendous force and a blood churning sound of bones popping filled the room along with pain-filled grunts.
The room was silent as every pony that was able looked at each other and the body.
Each's jaw dropped as they saw Fluttershy, who was still holding the hand was unaffected by the power that shot out.
In fact, her eyes were glowing and her cutie mark was lit up. Her elemental piece of jewellery was floating in mid-air
above the body, it was shaking and spinning.
Celestia stood back up in pain and approached the body; her back was covered in blood and sweat. She leaned forward and pressed her horn against the floating object. She remained still momentarily before again being shot back against the wall, this time even harder. Luna stood up and dashed to her sister's aid.
Everypony was watching in anticipation, waiting for something to happen.
Fluttershy began to speak; none of the words which anypony could understand. These words were nothing any of them had heard before. Except Luna.
Luna stood back up after seeing if her sister was alright and approached the floating object.
She had leaned forward and prepared herself to do what she saw her sister do. She nervously placed her horn against the object and expected to fly back; instead, involuntarily she began say the words that Fluttershy was saying.
The roof of the room unexpectedly ripped open, despite being at the lowest possible level with magic, the hole tore right
up to the castle grounds.
Luna's beautiful moon was visible; it flooded the room with light as the 2 ponies both lifted into the air.
Every pony looked up in shock at the moon which turned blue and purple. A massive beam of light fired down into the room blinding everypony.
The room remained lit up for a couple of minutes with all sound being blocked out by some force.
When the light cleared, it looked as if nothing had happened.
The roof was no longer torn apart.
The body was still strapped to the table.
And everything that was knocked out of place was back where it belonged, including the ponies. They all stood in their original place with no signs of injury.
Only one thing was different.
Luna and Fluttershy were not in the room. They were nowhere to be seen, there was no trace left by them.
"W-What happened?"
Rarity asked in a soft voice.
Celestia said nothing for a few moments before turning to the white unicorn.
"I-I am not sure..."
Twilight nervously stepped forward and approached the body on the table. It looked as if it had never been disturbed, as if where it lay, it lay for most of its life.
"H-Hello?"
Twilight said leaning over the body.
There was no response.
"Are you able to hear me? If you can, it would be much appreciated if you said something..."
Still, there was no response. Twilight let out a huge sigh.
"Hey Princess, what about Fluttershy and Princess Luna?"
Rainbow Dash said, lifting into the air.
"Of that, I am not quite sure; there is not much we can do about them right now. Elemental magic works in strange ways. We can only hope they are safe."
Whilst everyone was in a daze and confused about the situation, Pinkie Pie was wondering around the room and noticed something that no pony had.
Strange new objects had appeared on a table nearby. There was a small cracked, black and silver rectangle with what appeared to be a button. A snapped wire with two small buds like objects at the end of it. A bag that looked like it was not made for pony use as the straps did not seem to go around like a saddle bag. There was also a watch; it was smaller than most watches that most ponies wore.
"What are these things?"
Pinkie asked turning to Celestia.
Celestia turned to look at Pinkie and saw the small black and silver object in her hoof, she quickly teleported, took it out
of her hoof and placed it on the table.
"H-H-How did these get in here?! Who moved these?!"
Celestia was clearly worried.
"These were supposed to be in t--"
Celestia was interrupted by a table that dropped in front of her. It had come out of thin air; there was no teleportation sound or even light. It was like it was created by nothing, although the table looked like it did not belong. It was a wooden table with designs carved into it, it looked too casual, too home like, to be in a science facility, but Celestia knew exactly where it came from.
She began to light up her horn and quickly disappeared from the room.
"What are we supposed to do now?"
Rainbow Dash asked to no pony in particular.
"We wait."
Replied a guard from across the room.
"But we need to get Fluttershy and the Princess too! We can't just wait, we have to do something!"
"Rainbow, he is right, just settle down, I am sure we will know what to do in a...."
Twilight had begun her reply to Rainbow Dash but quickly trailed off.
"In a what?"
"In...A...a...uh...”
"Twilight, what is up with you?"
Twilight stared at the body on the table.
"Twilight?! Hellooo?! Gone to crazy town?"
Rainbow began shaking her hooves in front of Twilight's face.
"The Princess gave me books to study last night."
"Oh, that's a surprise...”
"One was about universal travel and effects of rebounded magic."
"Rebounded magic? What is that? Sounds like fun, like how you throw a ball and it rebounds then you play the game where you see who can get the ball first!"
By now Pinkie had joined in.
"No, Pinkie, Rebounded magic is no laughing matter. In fact it is quite dangerous."
Twilight walked to the body and stared at it.
"Dangerous? How?"
Even Rarity was attentive.
Applejack however was only listening in on the loose details that she heard, wanting to go home and see how Big Mac was doing.
She wished all this never happened.
"Well, rebounded magic is like when one magical force does not mix with another. Like how if two magnets have the same
poles pointed at each other they repel. Although, unlike magnets, magic can have some sort of crazy after-effect. teleportation, magic outbursts, power strikes, all happen due to rebounded magic."
"And you think that is what happened here? To Fluttershy and Princess Luna?"
Rarity said now being filled with worry the whereabouts of her friend.
"Possibly. If anything it was probably a teleportation rebound. If it were a power strike there would be no
electricity in the room right now."
"Well, what about that other thing...Magic outbursts?"
"We can't rule it out, something did happen, especially when the moon was visible."
"That was Luna protecting you."
Everypony's head turned to see where the voice came from, but there was no sign of another pony,
"Who said that?"
Rainbow asked aloud.
"I did."
With that, the large mirror that was on the wall had changed, into a window. They could see into a small room filled with
folders and papers. Inside was a familiar sight. Everypony's jaw dropped as inside the room stood Discord.
"Discord! What did you do?!"
Twilight screamed.
"Oh, hush now."
He clicked his fingers and teleported into the room.
"Celestia and I sorted out our differences out long ago. She still does not trust me entirely yet, but that stone
encasement in the Canterlot gardens is hollow."
"We're not falling for your tricks Discord! What did you do?"
"Really? I am surrounded by guards and you still think that I am lying about the Princess?"
The six mares looked over at the group of guards who nodded.
"Fine. Let's say you're telling the truth. What happened to her?"
"Nothing. She has an idea of where this hideous decor came from."
He approached the wooden table that had teleported into the room earlier.
"I would have gone with a more blue-ish colour. Celestia never was one for interior design."
"Well, what about Fluttershy and Luna?"
Discord looked around the room at the guards; he had a bored look on his face.
"Filled with questions you ponies are. Can you never just accept something?"
"Discord where the hell are they?!"
This time Rarity screamed in an out of character moment.
"Oh, feisty. Hmm, well, if you really must know, I don't know. They are probably sealed in stone or something."
"Discord, you better hope for your own sake that they are not."
Rainbow Dash had lifted herself into the air and had a look of anger spread across her face.
"What? I did nothing wrong. You’re...Princess...Just has a lack of knowledge when it comes to extra-terrestrial magic."
"Extra-terrestrial magic?"
Rarity asked.
"You ponies are really not the brightest creatures. Oh well, I shall fill your small mind with the knowledge you
so desire. Extra-terrestrial magic is magic that does not come from the land of Equestria."
"...He's right...”
Twilight admitted.
"Well of course I am right. Why would there be any doubt?"
"So when will we see them again?"
"Never."
Everypony's face drained of blood.
"WHAT?!"
Discord gave them a stern stare before breaking out in laughter.
"Ha! You should have seen the looks on your faces! Ohoho...I just love messing with you ponies."
"Discord cut that out! When will we see them?!"
"...Oh. I dunno...Few hundred...thousand years? I don't really know, anything could have happened. They could be
encased in stone, in another universe or...or...Oh here is my favourite one. Dead."
"Discord I swear if an-"
As Rainbow Dash was issuing her typical over the top threats a bright light appeared in the room.
Everyone shielded their eyes, except for Discord who instead snapped his fingers together and made a pair of sunglasses appear, which he put on and leaned against the wall.
As the light dissipated, Fluttershy, Princess Celestia and Princess Luna were stand in the room.
Pinkie Pie shot over and hugged a clearly distressed Fluttershy.
"OH MY GOSH SHY SHY! Thank Celestia you are safe we thought we had lost you forever and ever and ever and ever!"
"Princess! What happened?!"
Twilight moved quickly to Celestia, whilst guards attended to Luna.
"Just what I expected..."
Celestia replied.
"What do you mean?"
"You see Twilight...When we built castle grounds this low down we were prepared for anything. A lot of ponies out
there would like to see this castle and out control gone. Think of this as one massive underground bunker. We have a room under here which absorbs all magic destined for outside. Inside the room is a mystical element that was used to keep Discord in his encasement in the gardens. Only the strongest of magic can escape its power. They were teleported to that room, but in order for that to happen, Luna had to boost the mystical element's power. Hence the roof ripping open. She nearly killed herself for the safety of Fluttershy. It takes a lot of magic to do what she did."
"...I-I...I still don't understand fully...What is this mystical ele-"
"Twilight...please...We have more important things to deal with."
Celestia looked around and saw Discord standing in the room.
"Discord! What are you doing! I told you not to show yourself to the ponies!"
Discord yawned and snapped his fingers, causing the glasses to disappear.
"Oh but they were scared, terrified, petrified, worried for their lives...”
"HEY WE WERE NOT!"
Rainbow Dash screamed.
"..So I came to...comfort...them."
"Discord, I told you, no matter what do not show yourself. Yet here you are. Discord, you know I can send you
back into that encasement you know."
"Yes, yes, yes. But you are having problems with this creature of yours. You know it. I know it. We all know it!
I am the only one who can help. Your magic does not work. The elements of Harmony don't work. All that is left is the element of chaos. I told you before Celestia, I can do it easily, but you're just too stubborn."
"Discord, I can't even trust you to keep yourself a secret, how can I trust you on something even more important?"
Celestia waited for inspirational reply in which he probably would have begged, or so she hoped.
"You can't."
"What?!"
"Oh, come on Celestia! You can't trust me. Although, so far nothing works...maybe I will change my offer of helping too. I mean, you clearly don't want it..."
He said the last sentence with a massive grin on his face.
Celestia sighed.
"..Well...”
"Don't trust that creep, Princess!"
Rainbow spoke aggressively.
"I must agree with Rainbow, your highness, I would not trust him."
Rarity said.
"Yeah, don't trust him, he was a big dumb meany before....but...I did like the chocolate milk!"
Pinkie began giggling after she spoke.
"Ah'm afraid even Pinkie is right your highness...Don't trust him."
Applejack concurred.
"...Princess. I say...You should trust him...give him a chance, what more can we do?"
Twilight expressed her opinion.
"Twilight. Darling, have you forgotten what he has done to us before?"
Rarity tried to peruse Twilight to change her mind.
"I know Rarity, but, he may be able to help. I mean, it is worth a shot."
Discord laughed.
"A pony with some sense. That's a new one."
He teleported over to Twilight and bent down to her height. He stared at Celestia and tried to do a puppy dog look. He then spoke in a joking manner.
"Oh, pwease, Cwestia...”
Celestia put a hoof up to her chin and began thinking.
"Well...”
"Do it."
Celestia turned to her sister who had recovered from the shock to her body and was now standing up and looked ready to continue.
"Let him do it Celestia. Twilight is right. He is the last option we have. Besides, he won’t do much when surrounded by most of the castles best trained guards."
"Fine. Discord. You better not try anything funny."
Celestia gave Discord a deep look.
"Ah, good, you see things my way. Now. Everypony get back while I work my wondrous magic."
Celestia rolled her eyes and stood back against the wall along with the others.
Discord walked to the table and rubbed his hands together. He positioned himself well and examined the body.
He leaned over and inspected the other side of the face and then inspected the side by him.
"Uh-Huh...Mhm...Yes...Alright...Let's begin."
Discord took a deep breath and clapped his hands before exhaling and pressing his finger to the creature's forehead.
There was a small 'poof' sound and then Discord removed his finger.
"Done."
"Done?"
"Did I stutter? Yes, I am done."
Everypony looked at the body. Nothing had changed. It had not moved an inch. Celestia waited for a few moments.
"Well, today was a complete and utter failure. Come on everypony, let's clear up."
Everypony let out a disappointed sigh and looked at each other.
"Don't worry...we can think of....something...Tomorrow. For now, let's just clean the room. Bring me the
Elements."
Celestia said before lifting the box over and opening it.
Each pony went to get their element. As soon as they touched it though, it changed into a flower.
"What in the hay?"
Applejack picked up the daisy.
"Uh, yer highness...What's goin' on?"
"Discord! What are you doing?"
Celestia yelled.
"What do you mean? I did nothing."
"Stop being stupid and fix it!"
"But Celestia, my dear, I did nothing."
"I should never have let you talk me into letting you free!"
Celestia lit her horn up and prepared herself to fire a bolt.
"Now, now! Celestia, we can work this out! I did nothing, I assure you!"
"Lies!"
Celestia fire the bolt from her horn, it shot through the air, suddenly the flowers lifted off the surfaces they were on and
took the bolt for Discord. Instead of crumbling under the power like any other flower would have, they absorbed it and then fell onto the body on the table. They were then absorbed through the skin.
"You're gonna get it Disco-"
Celestia was interrupted as the mouth of the body opened and a blue mist came from it.
Everypony stared, amazed, as the eyes opened. At first slowly but then quickly. The creature's eyes darted from left to right taking in the sight of two large equines, many smaller ones and a Draconiquus.
"W-What the hell are you?"
Everypony remained silent, still shocked at the fact the creature was awake and could speak Equestrian.
"Answer me! What the hell are you?!"
No pony said anything, still shocked that whatever Discord had done had worked. The creature began to stress and pull on the straps restraining him to the table. He shouted and screamed, getting hysterical.
"Uh...Luna..."
Celestia whispered.
The creature started to get more violent trying to rip the straps off.
"Luna...Do something...”
Luna stood there, staring for a moment, before deciding to do anything. She lit her horn up and placed it against the creature's forehead, which was using all his might to try and break the restraints. The ponies watched as the light from Luna's horn transferred into the skin of the creature, before he began to calm down and his lids rolled lower over his eyes.
"What did you do Princess?"
Twilight asked softly.
"I...I put him to sleep. He was getting a bit violent. Maybe this is not the best place for him to wake up, with all the guards and strange...metallic... threatening room around him. We didn't prepare well enough."
"But we just woke him up!"
Rainbow cried from the back of the room.
"What...d-did you do Discord?"
Everypony was shocked to hear Fluttershy, who still looked very distressed.
"Oh, me? I did nothing. My magic didn't work the first time around."
"So...What did?"
Everypony including the Princess looked lost for words, all but a small purple unicorn.
"Perhaps. Perhaps this creature has the ultimate balance of chaos and harmony."
Twilight said.
"That's preposterous."
Discord retorted.
"Well...Maybe it has some sort of balance. Not exactly fifty/fifty but something like it. When the elements and your power combined in the creature, it worked."
"Well, whatever it was, he is awake now. You ponies have a bigger day than you can imagine tomorrow. You should head back to your rooms while we make out guest here a bit more welcomed."
Celestia said, fixing herself back up.
The ponies sighed, and gathered themselves to return to their rooms.
So, some important notes here. I had this chapter proof-read by a friend of mine, the only problems that may be there would be line skipping. It sometimes happens when I transfer from my writing program for some reason.
Another big thing, I may discontinue this story. I am not getting as much enjoyment from writing as I had before. If I get enough demand I may continue, but updates would take about 2 weeks or so instead of a few days.
So, first off, sorry for taking so long to release this chapter, and I thank all those who waited.
Spike let out a groan before opening his eyes slowly. As the light flooded in, he quickly shut them again and turned to his side.
He kept his eyes closed and yawned loudly, before stretching his arms out as far he could, the chirping of birds was all he could hear, well, that and the sound of his stomach growling loudly.
He groaned again before cautiously opening his eyes.
"Uhh...T-Too much.."
He groaned as he turned.
He was now looking up, facing the wooden ceiling of the library. He was lying on an unmade bed with the pillows on the ground nearby.
There was a half eating gem sitting at the end of the bed, he stared at for a moment and groaned again.
He had just awoken from his slumber after having a whole day of binging on gems, with no Twilight around he thought it would be the perfect opportunity to go out and find some gems. Normally, Twilight would object as the gems are often in dangerous places, such as in the Everfree forest.
He still went, nothing too significant happened, except for the discovery of a massive cache of gems. Enough for Rarity's dresses. which he hoped she would have appreciated. Although when he did get to her boutique, she was not there, it looked as if nopony had been in it for days, he began to recall.
After a few minutes, he decided to return to the library, in the hope Twilight was still gone. He smiled, remembering as he walked into the library, with a wagon of gems behind him, and no Twilight.
Everything from there was a blur.
He finally got the strength to sit up fully and even get out of the bed. He constantly made groaning noises as he did so.
Spike reached the stairs and began his descent.
He walked began walking down the twelve wooden steps, with each step, in his mind, he descended further and further into a plunging hell of effort. What seemed like an adventure from one end of the world to the other, had ended as his small purple foot touched the solid ground. He stretched and yawned as he trudged into the kitchen, opening a cupboard.
"Hmm..Nothing.."
He groaned to himself.
He glanced around.
"Hey Twilight we need mo--"
It had hit him.
Twilight was still gone.
It had been days, and only now, after being consumed by greed and freedom, he had begun to worry.
The first thoughts to fill his mind went along the lines of being forced to put Cerberus back at the gates of Tartarus and
ending up being eaten, or worse yet, Discord had returned and was causing chaos and trouble all throughout Canterlot. It was in that moment he set himself a challenege, a plan, to rescue Twilight from whatever immense trouble she was in. After another nap that was.
Instead of heading upstairs, he just climbed onto the table and curled up. With his head banging, anywhere was okay, aslong as he got his recovery sleep. Perhaps he may have another ice cream dream, he thought to himself as his eyelids fell over his eyes.
Fluttershy tossed and turned in her bed. Her purple bed-sheets were constantly moving, making small groaning sounds as she did, She was unable to sleep with all that had happened, her brain would not let her, she constantly feared for the creature's safety, she hoped it was okay. She was thinking how afraid it must be, how confused it must feel and how upset it must feel. Fluttershy almost cried at the thought of it, but manage to restrain herself. She pulled herself out of the bed, feeling trapped, both pysically and mentally. Gazing at the door she remained thinking, this time about defiance. She wanted to help the creature, she wanted to make sure that he would not be scared of every pony from the moment he awoke. Yet, it was Celestia's orders to wait until she gave the all clear. Fluttershy was seriously concidering breaking this rule, but was unsure if she had the nerve to.
A deep sigh escaped her lips as she walked towards the door, and began opening it. A short creeking sound was released from the door hinges as Fluttershy eased the door open.
She poked her head out to peek around, and to her surprise, there were no guards at all. She cautiously stepped out and slowly closed the door, her heart was racing, her mind was running and her legs were trembling.
What if she got caught? What if sometime went wrong and it would some how be her fault? She suddenly began feeling herself losing the desire to go through with the plan. She lowered her head, disappointed with herself. Her mind was in a conflict between what was right and what was wrong. It was there she began hearing the hoofsteps approaching closer and closer, a bright candle light was beginning to flood the room as multiple ponies walked in from the outside corridor. Fluttershy threw her self across the room, knowing she would not have time to open the door and hid under the nearby table.
"Anything?"
A deep male voice spoke as Fluttershy buried her face in her hooves, cowering in fear of being caught.
"Not a single thing.."
A second voice spoke.
"Alright...I'll get the west wing again?"
"Yeah, fine."
The voices stopped and the sound of muffled hoofsteps began to fade away,
After a few moments, Fluttershy began to regain herself and she hauled herself back up from underneath the table.
She stood on the spot, considering her options, and then recalling what she heard.
"West wing.."
She whispered to herself.
West wing...West wing...
It was all she could think about, she did not see any doors that she had not gone through whilst here, there is no west-wing upon first inspection, she thought. What if they were patroling the upper and lower floors...Hmm..Nah, they wouldn't.. She was stumped, tired and confused, so she decided to return to her room, some sleep would help.
About two hours had passed, and yet there was still no sign of Fluttershy recieving the sleep she so longed for.
It just would not happen, her mind was still being overwhelmed by her curiousity about what the guards had said.
"Okay..Just go out..check..come back..Then sleep.."
She whispered to herself.
She wanted to calm her overactive mind.
After repeating earlier's movements, she was once again standing outside the bedroom door. To her left was a long narrow corridor and to her right was the same, She remember that the guard who said it was going into the right wing.
She stared down it and her imagination began to overwork as she stared into what seemed like a dark abyss.
In her mind she was seeing manticores awaiting for her to walk into their den, she saw a rabid bear awaiting its next meal, although she knew it was all in her head, it scared her half to death still. She inhaled and began her terrifying peril into the dark corridor. Her eyes were useless, it was darker than Nightmare Moon's jet black mane. Suddenly she saw a light source moving towards from the far end of the corridor along with trotting sounds. She began to panic and started trying to find somewhere to conceal herself. She was rushing back to where she came, her hoof
on the left wall, it brushed along it as she walked. Her hoof had touched something that was protruding from the wall, despite the light advancing towards her she stopped for a moment and felt around for it, hoping maybe it was something useful. To her it felt like some sort of door-knob, she twisted it hoping for a door of some wort to open. By now the light was almost
lighting up her yellow coat. Fluttershy quickly turned and began moving again, she could see the main room infront of her. She moved faster. Hoping the guard would not have time to recognise her incase he got close enough. She just about to make it. She would have been fine if it were not for the other guard coming from the opposite corridor. Her instinct was telling her to just run for it, but she knew she couldn't, she was trapped, nowhere to go, nothing to do, she had to give up.
The guard coming from behind her had now managed to get her in his sights.
"Hey! You!"
He called out rushing towards the petrified pegasis.
Fluttershy froze up on the spot, tears beginning to form,
The guard rushed towards her.
"What in the name of Celes-- O-Oh, M-Miss.Fluttershy. Please excuse me."
The guard was not lowered onto his front legs.
The second guard had also arrived by now, watching the situation.
"Miss.Fluttershy, please forgive me, but should you not be asleep?"
He asked.
Fluttershy was still feeling distressed about it all, she should never have left the bedroom.
"C'mon, let's get you back inside."
I know this chapter is more, "off" than what I usually write, but it was more to show you guys I still care about this fic
and since I have some time off school, I will definatly be working on a larger chapter.
Thanks for reading~
So, I had to skip the proof-reader process so I could get this out for you guys today, Like I promised. I don't think I made too many mistakes, thanks for your patience and enjoy!
"Looks like I win again!"
Rainbow Dash announced proudly as she landed on a soft white cloud.
The other pegasi stared at her, jaws dropped, eyes wide opened, some were cheering loudly
and throwing their hooves about to show their enthusism. Some were even looking
dissapointed, especially one small filly wearing a dark blue hat and waving a dark blue
flag. Soarin stared at Rainbow Dash and smirked.
"Three times in a row, hmm, I'm impressed.."
He spoke softly looking her in the eyes and smirking slightly.
"Perhaps you are worthy of being a Wonderbolt after all."
He continued.
Rainbow Blushed lightly as he spoke, the crowd now beginning to settle down and listen
to what the ponies were saying.
Soarin approached Rainbow Dash slowly, treading softly atop the fluffy white cloud. He was a
few inches away from her when he stopped. He made sure eye contact never broke between them
as he slowly moved closer to her. Rainbow was in a trance like state as the pony she so
admired was a mere step away. Her heart was racing, her mind was running and her legs were
almost shaking.
"Miss Rainbow Dash, as leader of the Wonderbolts, it is with great honour I award you
this."
Spitfire, another Wonderbolt had flown over with a small gold medal in her mouth, she
landed beside Soarin and gave it to him. Soarin then approached Rainbow and placed it around
her neck.
"Welcome to the Wonderbolts."
And with that he quickly locked his lips against hers, as she blushed immensly, she felt
as if she were in heaven, or was. Everything around her suddenly ripped apart, pulling away
from her, she was sweating, shaking and scared, suddenly her eyes shot open.
"Rainbow, come on! We need you!"
A muffled voice shouted.
"Huh..? W-Wha?"
"Rainbow, for Celestia's sake wake up! We really need you right now! Agh-"
The voice had stopped.
Rainbow Dash opened her eyes fully and adjusted to the light of the room. She looked around
to the sight of, well, nothing. Nothing had changed. She was upset that she had lost an
amazing dream, but at the same time felt confused.
"That voice was not apart of the dream.."
She spoke to herself quietly.
She hauled herself from the bed and stretched her wings. She walked to the large, locked
door that was the entrance to her room. She sluggishly opened it. The door creaked ever so
quietly and she slowly pushed it open. Inch by inch the door opened.
Rainbow's mouth hung open, her eyes widened at the sight. On the ground infront of her lay
Twilight, covered in cuts and bruises. She looked around the room, tears forming her eyes as
she saw Applejack laying against the wall, eyes closed and bleeding. The walls were chared
and burnt along with the ceiling. The table in the room was snapped in half and the
paintings had been ripped from the wall. Armour from royal guards lay on the floor,
scratched and burnt along with some pools of blood scattered across the room. Rainbow stood
petrified, shocked and disguisted. Her lips trembled and her eyes became misty.
Slowly, she stepped towards Twilight and bent down.
"T-T-Twi..?"
Twilight did nothing.
"Twilight..P-Please be okay.."
She put a hoof on Twilight's chest and rolled her over so she facing her.
By now the tears were pouring from her eyes as she saw Twilight's face. It had been
battered, cut and assualted.
She shook her violently.
"Twilight! Please! Please, wake up! Be alright! Come on Twi!"
Her friend still lay unmoved.
"..No.."
She looked over at Applejack, who was laying against the wall also beaten badly. She
hurriedly rushed over to her.
"AJ? Y-You have to be alright.."
Her hoof was placed against her forehead, her tears still streaming as the orange pony did
not move a muscle.
It was then that the ground began shaking uncontrollably and Rainbow Dash fell to the
ground. As the shaking continued the roof began to split open, right up to the surface,
where again, the massive moon was shining brightly. This time though, two Alicorn figures
were fighting, firing bolts of magic at one another, whilst pegasi fought. Massive balls of
fire being ripped from the ground beside Rainbow Dash and being forced up to the surface
where loud clashes could be heard. Rainbow who was now panicking and worrying for her
friend's safety grabbed both ponies and put them over her back, balls of fire still being
forced from the ground around her. She rushed into her room and placed both of them down,
she stared at them before rushing out of the room and closing the door. Her wings unfolded
and she shot upwards through the crack in the ground, going as fast as she could, closer and
closer to the fighting ponies. As soon as she had come up to the surface she was struck by a
stray bolt of electricity. This caused her to come crashing down onto the singed grass
beside the massive hole she had surfaced from. She looked around, ponies were clashing with
each other, unicorns shooting bolts of magic and manipulating solid objects, then throwing
them at one another. A flaming strike had hit beside her and she jumped into the air, where
a masked pony had tackled her, tossing her once again against the ground.
The pony began hitting Rainbow Dash into the face with its hooves, each blow more painful
than the last. Rainbow spread her wings and pushed herself off the ground, sending the
masked pony flying forward, nearly into the hole. The pony quickly regained itself before
getting struck by a massive flash of light, then disappearing with a scream.
Dash was terrified and confused, she looked around at the violence, guards were rushing
out of the castle while masked ponies were moving in from the nearby forest, some were even
appearing from flashes of light that occurred in random spots. She looked up to the sight of
Celestia being surrounded by several masked ponies. Pegasi charging at her and unicorns
firing bolts at her. Luna could also be seen a little higher up, locked in a conflict
between a cloaked Alicorn.
Rainbow felt sharp pain in her chest, it had just hit her that she was struck by a bolt of
energy. She slowly lowered her head to the her chest and stared in disbelief that her coat
was now burned and her skin torn. She about to prepare herself for a wave of rippling pain.
To the left of her was the unicorn who had fired it. She was grinning and slowly stepping
closer, Dash could see something in her eyes, something evil, something demented. What
happened next shocked Rainbow dash. Two royal guards charged at the unicorn, one firing a
red orb at her which seemed to make her scream in pain and another which had bucked her into
the face, causing blood and saliva to fly into the air landing on Rainbow's snout. She had
never seen the royal guards act so violently, and with that the pain from the bolt took
over, she lay back, arching in agony, writhing on the ground. She felt like she was being
torn apart, ripped open and shredded to pieces. The pain remained as she could feel herself
losing conciousness. Her eyelids were suddenly feeling heavy and she began to relax slowly,
despite the tremendous pain she was in.
It was then she saw a bear run past her and charge at two masked ponies, causing them to
slam against the ground where they lay motionless as the bear ran off and charged at another
masked pony. Rainbow's eyelids were closing ever more as she saw more animals rushing past
her. Suddenly she felt like she had been elevated. The world was moving around her, she felt
like she was laying on a soft cloud, just moving through the situation. It was then her eyes
managed to fully close, and she had lost conciousness.
"Rainbow! Wake up!"
Rainbow shook her head and winced at the bright light being shone in her face, there was a
figure standing above her.
Her eyes began to adjust, this figure turned out to be Fluttershy. She was wearing medical
equipment and was covered in blood, but showed no cuts or bruises.
"Flu-Flutter..?"
Fluttershy said nothing as she checked Rainbow, shining the light more into her eyes,
forcing open her mouth and looking inside.
"Fluttershy, what is going?!"
Rainbow blurted out.
"I-I don't really know, Celestia wants me to help the injured ponies though."
Rainbow Dash looked around. She was in the castle foyer, she could see out to where the
fight was happening, it showed no signs of slowly. Groups of fluffy rabbits were running
together and picking up injured ponies on their backs. They were bringing them into the
foyer and laying them down on the floor before rushing out again. There were more ponies
helping out with injuries as she could recognize Nurse Redheart and even Ponyville's vet.
Rainbow looked down at her chest. She had a bandage going all the way around her, a small
blood stain was on it and it looked like it was rushed. Rainbow looked up, by now Fluttershy
had attended to the aid of another injured pony. Rainbow mustered the strenght to stand up
and hurried over.
"Fluttershy, c'mon, what's going on?!"
Fluttershy was bandaging up a pony's leg as she spoke.
"Celestia has not said, no one knows, we were just told to help out."
Fluttershy said reaching for a piece of tape and using it to secure the bandage onto the
leg.
"So, how did you get up here?"
Fluttershy had moved onto another pony, who had a massive gash on his head.
"Guards were bringing me back to my room, long story, stuff happened, ended up here."
"Guards were bringing you back to your room?"
"Yes, Rainbow, this is not the time, we need help. Have you seen Twilight?"
"Uh..Yeah, she is dow--"
Rainbow was interrupted by a loud crash as a black Alicorn came crashing through the
large, stained glass, windows.
Ontop of her was again, the same cloaked Alicorn from earlier. The cloak was soaked with
blood and torn in some places to reveal a light blue coat.
They both slid across the ground after the initial impact. The nurses began running to
safety frantically, leaving the injured ponies at mercy of the fighting Alicorns. The nurses
dash up the large stair case and ran for the nearest door, then began sealing it. Some
stayed at the top, ready to answer Luna's call if needed. Shards of shattered glass were all
over the floor, along with blood. Some injured ponies scrambled to get to somewhere save,
dragging themselves across the floor or limping as the two Alicorns thrashed around, hitting
each other, pinning each other and shooting magical bolts at each other. Rainbow Dash had
flown up, she was looking down at the fight, Fluttershy was no where to be seen, her
sheepish nature probably caused her to hide in one of the upstairs rooms.
Luna was thrown against the wall by the Alicorn's tremendous strength, a loud crack could
be heard as she made contact with the wall. She screamed in agony, the scream was almost
deafening. Her wings lay limp behind her, she was tired, sore and exhausted. She wanted it
to end and stop. The physical pain she was in was almost as bad as the emotional pain from
being exposed to a thousand years of solitude. The feathers on her wings were thrashed and
pulled. Luna lay there, exhausted, as the other Alicorn walked closer, the nurses and
injured ponies could only watch on in horror. It was then that Celestia had swooped in
through the large hole in the glass and delivered a powerful kick to the side of the
Alicorn. A masculine yelp could be heard as it slid across the ground helplessly, it could
not prepare itself for the impact. Rainbow Dash, who was still flying up to the high
ceiling, glanced out at the courtyard. Ponies lay across the ground, barely moving or not
moving at all. Quite a few royal guards remained standing as the final few masked ponies
rushed back into the forest. When Dash looked down, Celestia was towering over the Alicorn,
her horn was alight. It was in that moment the room was flooded by a bright blue light,
everypony became blinded. A few seconds later, when everpony could see, the room was short a
pony, well an Alicorn. Celestia quickly turned around and dashed over to Luna.
"Sister! Are you alright?!"
Luna let out an incoherant mumble.
"Luna, please, do something!"
Celestia said, her eyes going misty.
Luna said nothing.
Her horn then had a weak glow coming off it.
"S-Sister?"
Celestia said wearily.
Luna slowly used her magic to lift a shard of glass off the ground. ever so slowly she
moved it infront of Celestia.
The pattern on this particular shard of glass was that of Celestia and Luna, standing side
by side. A tear escaped Celestia's eye, everypony in the room was quiet all the while. The
shard began to lower to the ground, as did Luna's eyelids. Celestia kissed her forehead and
looked over at the nurses who were cowering at the top of the staircase. She nodded to them
and stepped back from Luna, drying her eyes. All of the nurses came rushing down to the aid
of Luna. Celestia meanwhile looked up at Rainbow Dash, she motioned for her to come down
which she did.
"Miss.Rainbow Dash, have you seen Twilight Sparkle?"
Rainbow Dash was in disbelief. Here was Luna, on the verge of death and all Celestia
could ask was where was Twilight?
Here was her royal courtyard that lay broken and destroyed, and where was Twilight?
Here was her royal guards, who lay injured and battered, and where was Twilight?
Why was it so important right now to know where Twilight was?
Rainbow was turning this over in her mind, she stuttered for a moment before answering.
"S-She is down..In the, uh, her b-bedroom, No. Wait. My room."
She replied.
"Right, I need you to gather her and everypony else, bring them to Luna's room on the
second floor, I'll be waiting."
Celestia was quickly covered in a large bubble of energy before teleporting out of the room.
Dash sighed and opened her wings. She looked to the courtyard, where the large hole was,
then flew out.
Rarity yawned and stretched out her hooves, she scratched her side and sat up in her bed.
It was dark, very dark, that was until she took off her eye mask. She looked around the room
and took off the ear muffs that she had found in one of the drawers, the night before. She
figured, why not try get the best sleep possible?
It certainly was one of the best sleeps she had ever had. She stepped out of the bed and
yawned again. She looked over at the dressing table where grooming items had been left for
her. She grinned and trotted over happily.
As was the usual with Rarity, it had taken her sometime to get ready, fixing up her mane,
her eyelashes and making sure her coat was as shiny as could be. She was very proud of what
she looked like, and often was not afraid to show it off.
After making sure everything was as fabulous as could be, she opened her door. The morning
soon took a dramatic turn as she saw the gruesome sight that lay infront of her. Her drama
queen reaction was witheld and instead an honest reaction shone through of fear and disgust.
She was practically frozen on the spot, managing to move her head in the direction of
Rainbow's room. She saw Rainbow walking out with a dazed Twilight and Applejack behind her.
Pinkie was also standing to the left of Rainbow, she seemed quiet.
"..You Twilight, they both we--"
Rainbow said before directing her attention to a horrified Rarity who was standing in the
door way of her room.
"Rarity, good you're up, come on, we need you!"
Rainbow said grabbing Rarity's hoof and pulling her over.
Rarity's hoof had slid into a pool of blood and she let out a horrific scream as it did,
in which Rainbow released her grasp on Rarity's hoof. Rarity was almost about to cry,
everything she saw rocked her right to the core.
"Rarity, come on, now is not the time, we need you to come with us! Now come on!"
Rainbow shouted, and leaning down, hinting that Rarity should get onto her back.
A shocked Rarity nervously stepped forward and slowly got onto Rainbow's back, who's wings
were wide open.
Rainbow Dash looked over at Twilight and nodded before slowly flying up, as not to rush with
Rarity on her back. Twilight looked to Applejack and Pinkie then lit her horn up. A purple
bubble of energy formed around them before popping. The three ponies had then evaporated
into thin air.
Rainbow Dash continued her ascent up to the surface through the large crack in the ground
with the shaken unicorn on her back. By the time she had come up to the surface, Twilight,
Applejack and Pinkie were waiting, having just teleported up.
Rainbow pointed to the castle entrance, and then began to run over with the others, Rarity
still in a mild form of shock laying on Rainbow's back.
They approached the entrance and looked in. The place seems to have been cleaned up, with
Luna and Celestia nowhere to be seen. Nurses had returned to tending to the injured ponies
in the room. Things had settled down abit more. The five ponies slowly walked in, Rarity now
relaxing to the situation more had been able to stand using her own power and will. They
looked around, the room had looked as if anything hardly happened. Magic is a wonderful
thing, Rainbow thought.
Pinkie had yet to say a word as they walked to the staircase, where two Royal guards had
stood.
"Princess Celestia is waiting upstairs, Miss.Sparkle."
One of the guards said as they approached.
Twilight nodded and walked up, the other four close behind. They reached the top of the
stairs and then trotted up the next flight of stairs. When they reached the top more guards
were standing by the walls, each looking at them and pointing a hoof down the hallway. The
ponies walked past quite a few doors until they reached one that stood out. Gold and silver
plated it with a moon made of entwined steel. Many guards stood outside it. This was Luna's
room. The guards stood aside and opened the door.
Inside was a distraught Celestia, with two nurses running about frantically grabbing
viles and boxes, then bringing them near the bedside where an unconcious Princess lay.
Celestia looked over at the ponies and motioned for them to come closer, which they did.
"..Princess, what is after happening?"
Twilight whispered.
"I believe..I believe that a group of ponies may know of this creature's existance.."
Thr Princess said slowly.
The Twilight had a realisation.
The creature..She had forgotten about it amongst it all.
"Princess, where is the crea-"
"We moved him to the secure room in Canterlot Tower."
Twilight looked at a beaten Luna.
"And what about Princess Luna?"
She inquired.
"She just needs rest a small amount of medical attention, she'll be fine...I hope.."
Celestia lowered her head..
"Tick."
This was the one sound that echoed constantly in Blake Manlan's mind. In the small room in which he sat it was the most interesting sound he could pick up on, not to mention it did serve a very vital purpose.
His eyes were locked onto the longest arm of the clock which hung on the wall above a chalkboard, with each second that past the arm would shift slightly and which each movement it got closer and closer to what Blake wanted.
Just forty seconds stood between Blake and his Christmas vacation.
Whilst other students talked and conversed about their plans, Blake sat quietly admiring each swift movement of the clock's arms.
"30", He whispered under his breath.
At this point other students began packing away their things, something Blake had done minutes ago.
"20", He whispered this with a hint of excitement in his voice.
By now his teacher had began giving directions about leaving in an orderly fashion, of this Blake was completely oblivious, his concentration still focusing on the clock.
"10", Blake's arms twitched as he was ready to spring from his chair.
With one swift movement the arm struck 12, and right on cue the school bell rang, Blake jumped from his seat and dashed for the door just as others had.
Among the frenzy and commotion of everything Blake stepped outside into the lashing rain.
It bucketed down from the heavens, clashing against the pavements, roofs and any person below.
Blake stood in the rain, his back leaning against the school building watching other students run to find shelter while they waited for some one to arrive and pick them up.
Blake did not mind the rain, infact he liked it, he thought differently than most students about things. Stuff he liked were things that were frowned upon by others as they were considered, out of the norm, or just plain weird.
Blake himself looked like any seventeen year old with a few exceptions.
He was slightly underweight, had a shade of purple under his eyes from insomnia and he was quite tall, taller than most seventeen year old's.
His mind worked in quite a different way than most teenagers.
He questioned everything in his mind and looked deeply into it before making a judgement.
To him, unless proven by logic or science, it was impossible. To him a life solitude and peace was one of his taste.
Blake could have a relationship with people for years and then break all physical or emotional ties with that person and not be affected, he preferred to be on his own and often dreamed of a place where he could just forget about the world, and everyone in it.
Blake was soaked to the skin in a matter of minutes, but he did not care. He leaned against the wall staring at a willow tree that was having it's branches whipped around in the midst of the heavy wind and rain.
It was not long until a small red Ford pulled up on the kerb beside Blake. He stepped towards the car and got in.
A quick glance was exchanged between Blake and his father who sat in the driver's seat.
They rarely spoke to each other unless it was necessary, Blake hated his father for the fact that he was always more involved with his career than his own son.
This was the case since Blake was a small child and has been embedded ever since.
"How was school?"
Blake's father spoke in a dull tone.
"Meh. Same as always I guess."
Blake responded not really caring much for his father's interest.
Just like everyday the journey home was mostly quiet with the occasional road-rage fuelled comment from Blake's father about traffic.
Blake lived in a mostly wooded area and his house was obscured from view by the dense amount of trees.
As they approached the small cobbled bridge into the woods they saw people dressed in high visibility clothing directing people away from the woods.
The car came to a halt and a man who looked like he was in his thirties or forties wearing a ushanka hat, gloves and a high visibility jacket approached the car.
Blake's father rolled the window down, letting alot of rain water come into the car onto his lap.
"We are sorry sir but we highly recommend not entering the woods."
"I need to though, my house is on the west route that goes through here and this is the only entrance."
"We are not going to stop you sir, but many trees have fallen and the risk is still very high for more to fall."
"Well unless you are actually going to stop me, I am going to head home."
"Stay safe!"
Those last two words were muffled a sudden sound of thunder as Blake's father rolled the window back up, his lap now saturated in rain water.
As they ventured deeper into the woods, Blake's father was still complaining about how useless those people were if they were not even enforcing anything, and about he got wet and he just wants to get home.
Blake dealt with his father's complaining quite alot, but today he seemed a bit more agitated and more easily annoyed.
He knew he could not put up with much more of his father's constant whining.
With his father seemingly more on edge he was going at a some speed as they were in the woods, Blake took no notice once again lost in his thoughts after his father finally calmed down verbally, but his aggression was showing more in his actions.
He rounded a turn at a generous speed as lightning struck down nearby in the woods, this made Blake jump with fear, but before the hairs on the back of his neck had time to stand up a second bolt hit nearby, it was so close.
Suddenly a large brown silhouette began collapsing mere metres in-front of the car.
Princess Luna was pacing back and forth in Canterlot Tower's main entrance hall.
The hall was filled with rows of marble columns all identical to each other, on the base of each were small plaques.
Inscribed on the plaques were names of very high ranking ponies, ponies who played an important role in Equestria's government
and ponies who had lost their lives during Discord's reign of chaos.
The ceiling was slightly arched with lit candles on chandeliers hanging from it. The floor was made of a pristine
white tile.
In the hall a massive image of Celestia and Luna's cutie marks was on the floor sealed in tiles. The left and
right entrances had similar tiling mosaics.
Paintings of important ponies hung along side the tainted windows, with images of the Elements Of Harmony and their
capabilities.
Luna herself was in a mess, her mane was tossed and messy, her tiara sat awkwardly just above her fore-head.
Her eyes were bloodshot and had purple rings under them, her coat lacked its normal "royal look."
She paced at a steady speed, trotting from one end of the hall to the other. The whole time, her mouth was moving
and she was whispering her thoughts under her breath. Guards who stood at the entrances tried to ask if she
needed anything, but she just told them to return to their places and not interrupt her again.
Being Royal Guards, they did this without a second thought.
This continued repetitively for quite some time until, the large front doors opened, they revealed a tall white
alicorn surrounded but smaller ponies of different races.
"Tia!"
Luna screamed as she ran towards Celestia and hugged her.
"What took you so long?"
Question Luna.
"What do you mean? I never said when I would be back, and infactI was back quicker than I anticipated.
Luna, you need to relax some times, Look you have not slept since the incident."
Said Celestia with a hint of mockery.
"Well, it is not easy to relax with all this going on!"
A large argument would have erupted if it were not for Twilight coughing, trying to attract the Princess' attention.
"Oh, I am sorry my little ponies. Sometimes Luna just gets carried away."
Celestia said darting a steely eyed look in Luna's direction.
"It is probably best we just get this done and over with."
Celestia spoke as she walked towards the stairs.
"For now I will show you where you will be staying. It is very likely you will be here for a few days, after that
I shall show you what we needed you for."
As soon as Twilight heard the second line, thoughts about Spike shot through her mind.
'Oh no, what if he gets in trouble? Or does something stupid? What if he runs out of food? He often eats so much...'
Her thoughts trailed on and on endlessly, but she knew the Princess had to of had a good reason and hopefully Spike
would be sensible and not do anything stupid.
"Princess, I must inquire, will we be staying in the same kind of rooms that I did when I was here a few weeks
ago?"
Rarity asked, trying to sound as polite as possible.
"Right now, that is not important. What is important is that you follow me. Come on now."
Celestia said, turning to trot up the second flight of stairs.
Celestia led the ponies through the castles intricate hallways and corridors, until they came to a pair of massive steel door.
They all stopped as Celestia halted infront of it. She nodded to the two guards standing beside it, they nodded back and
began to turn two massive valves on the walls.
The sound of metal clashing, gears grinding and locks opening filled the room as the ponies all waited in anticipation to
see what was behind it.
Twilight could feel her heart racing, Pinkie was ready to spring off her spot, Fluttershy was ready to run away, Rainbow Dash
was ready to shoot forward, and Applejack and Rarity were ready to watch it all unfold.
The sound of the locks finally stopped as the doors inched open.
Everypony was tense as Celestia's horn light up, opening the doors fully.
They could see it.
There it was.
Before their very eyes.
Another corridor.
All the ponies let out a sigh of disappointment apart from Fluttershy, who, being her usual self, was afraid.
Celestia looked back after hearing the sighs.
"What?"
She asked.
"It's just another stupid corridor"
Rainbow Dash spoke up in a disappointed tone.
"What did you think would be behind it? I mean come on everypony, I even said earlier I was just showing you to
your rooms."
"But we never came this way before, also I never even knew this part of the castle existed."
Twilight added.
"Yes, but you have never been in a class 5 situation. I need you all in this special part of the castle for a
reason."
"Class 5 situation?"
Fluttershy mumbled, only to have the same thing said by Twilight louder.
"All your questions will be answered in due time, my little ponies. Now please, if you would follow me."
Without hesitation they followed as Celestia stepped into the darkened metallic corridor.
The lights turned from well light candles on the walls into rectangle shaped elongated electrical bulbs on the ceiling.
This was like the rumors that had been spread around, but none of the ponies had thought them to be true.
After passing many identical black doors on the left and right of the corridor they came to a flight of stairs.
Look down they could not see the end, not any light passed a certain part.
Fluttershy meeped' at the sight and stepped back.
"D-Do w-we have t-to go down there?"
Fluttershy asked, crouched behind Applejack and hiding behind her mane.
"No,no,no....Just you."
Celestia replied, unable to help herself, it was just in her nature.
Upon hearing this, the yellow Pegasus nearly screamed, well, whatever a scream was to her.
"I am only playing with you, yes we do have to go down, but do not fret, we shall all be going down."
Celestia said trying to sound sincere.
"What's down there anyway?"
Rainbow asked.
"The basement areas."
"Wait, what!? The castle has a basement? How come I did not know about this?"
Twilight asked. She felt the Princess told her everything and trusted her, but in this moment felt as if she had been
betrayed or lied to in some way.
"Twilight Sparkle. You are my favorite student and I have my upmost respect for you, but there are somethings
only some ponies should know about. Not many guards know about this place, not many advisers know about it too. You are lucky I am even showing it to you. Right now, I have things I must attend to, so if we could just get to the rooms. I promise you all, I will answer your questions tomorrow."
Princess Celestia spoke, with an obviously more exhausted voice, by now the ponies knew the full extent of the situation.
Even the Princess was tired, and she began to show it more and more. It was all just an act up until now.
Twilight nodded along with the other ponies as they began their decent down the long stairway.
After a hoof wrecking forty minute walk down the stairs they finally reached what looked like the upper floors of the
castle.
Everything was furbished in the same way, the colour scheme was the same, the walls were made from the same material
and even the light bulbs had changed to candles on walls again.
They approached a dead end in the corridor which had 6 doors each with a symbol on them.
The first door had a 6 point purple star on it, it was coloured in gold.
The next door had three butterflies, also in gold.
The third door had 3 diamonds, strangely they were also gold.
The final 3 doors consisted of 3 gold balloons, a gold cloud with a lightning bolt and finally 3 gold apples.
It was obvious to the ponies what they stood for.
"Here are your rooms. I must apologize for leaving. A Wake up call will be sent in the morning for you all,
any questions should be asked at breakfast. Just one more thing."
Celestia pointed towards a clearly, sealed door to the right of her.
"Do not. And I mean it. Do not. Open that door. I am trusting you with that simple task. Now. I can only
advise you to get some sleep. Tomorrow will be a big day. Again I apologize for leaving so soon..
With that, Celestia closed her eyes as her horn began to glow. The ponies all stepped back as an aurora of light enveloped
Celestia. With a massive cracking sound and a burst of light the room was now a soul shorter.
The ponies all stared at each other for a few moments.
"Well, that was exciting! I hope we get to do the wooosh and craaaacking sounds tomorrow, that would be so
amazing! Imagine if Celestia telep--"
Pinkie was the first to break the silence, she was never the one for awkward times. Anything and everything would be used to try and get others to talk. Her rushed and excited thoughts that shot out of her mouth did not last long as Rainbow Dash put a hoof to Pinkie's mouth.
Pinkie finally stopped mumbling, and looked a bit upset.
Another few moments of staring at each other passed and finally Twilight broke the silence.
"Well...um...I guess we should do what the Princess says, huh girls? I will see you all in the morning."
Twilight spoke as she turned the handle on her door and walked in.
Disobeying the Princess, or not even taking her advice was something Twilight was unable to do by herself, and now was not the time to try it.
"Uh, Ah am kinda plum-tuckered out after all that travlin' we did today an' that walk down them stairs
was not very kind to ma' hooves. Ah'm gonna catch some shut eye."
This time, Applejack who was surprisingly quite today spoke up and walked into her room, shutting the door behind her.
"I suppose whatever the situation a mare must look her best and get some beauty sleep, see you all in the
morning."
Rarity said stepped gingerly into her room and closing the door.
"Whatever is going to happen tomorrow I want to be ready! I wonder if it is a monster we gotta fight! Or
even Discord! I wanna show that thing who is boss, I am going to..."
Rainbow trailed off as show walked into her room, spraying her thoughts aloud and shutting her door.
Without saying anything, Fluttershy opened her door and walked in before closing it.
The same act was preformed by Pinkie who was upset that no pony seemed to be in a good mood.
Twilight turned after closing her door.
The room she stood was of a decent size, larger than the rooms on the upper floors. At the end of the room was a Princess sized bed, a portrait of Celestia, and a small bed-side table with candles on it.
To her left was picture of Canterlot Gardens and a medium sized table with some grooming objects on it. On her left was another door which was open. Inside Twilight could see that the room she stood in was an en-suite.
Finally, in the centre of the room was a massive table, almost extending the full length.
Twilight's eyes lit up as she saw piles of books resting on the table and she let out an excited 'squee' before dashing to the
table and looking at them.
She picked up the nearest one;
'Metamorphosis, a journey'
She examined it and picked up another;
'Myths and legends of Equestria'
And a few more;
'Creatures of the Everfree'
'New species, volume II'
'Universal travel, just a crazy idea?'
'Portal hopping'
'Missing Links'
'Dimensions and You'
She placed the books down.
She was excited that she never read these books before, but the topics were not exactly her kind of reading. She glanced
at the piles of books, that lay scattered across the table, then something caught her eye.
A note, she walked over and looked at it;
Twilight Sparkle,
I have left you these books for a reason, I need you to study them, it will help you alot tomorrow.
I understand I asked to you to catch up on some sleep, and I still do.
Please attempt to read as many as possible, but try get a good amount of sleep.
-Princess Celestia
Twilight began thinking, in an almost paralyzed state.
After many minutes of contemplating the situation so far, she took the nearest book and sat down on a nearby wooden stool.
"Advanced universal theories, chapter one..."
Twilight said aloud to herself.
Fluttershy stood by the door for a moment and admired the room she now stood in.
It was just like Twilight's;
A good size, table in the centre, big bed, paintings, and a dead dog lying on the table.
"A Dead dog?!"
Fluttershy let out a scream, it was still quite low but for her, it was a shout.
She ran to the table and looked at the dog.
It was a stuffed toy.
Fluttershy let out a sigh of relief and then saw a note pinned to the collar of the toy.
It read;
Fluttershy,
Tonight I Need you to practice your medical skills on animals.
The toy on the desk has been made to reconstruct an animal that has suffered major lacerations and a
large electronic pulse shocking its body.
The button on its back begins the reconstruction.
It may seem strange now but tomorrow you will see why I needed you to do this.
Get some sleep aswell, you will need it.
-Princess Celestia
Fluttershy was slightly shocked at this but knew the Princess had good reason. She noticed a small medical bag resting
against one of the legs of the table, she picked up and inside were all her necessary materials and tools for
such an event.
She turned the toy over and pressed the button on its back...
The first thing Rarity did was walk to her bed and lie down, letting out a massive yawn, clearly exhausted from all the
walking they did today.
After laying there for a few minutes she sat up. Once again sitting in a similarly designed room to Twilight and Fluttershy.
A few seconds of looking passed and her eyes lit up.
She got off the bed and walked to the table in the centre of the room, where piles of fabrics of all colours, boxes of gems,
bags of feathers and boxes of needles and thread lay awaiting use.
She could not help but smile, some of the material here was rare, infact it would cost millions of bits just to get it
imported since it is so delicate.
A note sat ontop of one of the piles, it said;
Rarity
Underneath this note is a layout for some clothes I need you to make, it may seem very strange but I need you to do this.
I need you to use subtle colours and make sure it does not stand out too much.
Whatever materials are left over you can keep and use for whatever you want.
Do not get too carried away though, get some sleep.
-Princess Celestia
Rarity lifted the note and underneath was a piece of paper.
It was a template for clothes, but it was not a pony template.
Rarity could not make out what it was of, but she knew the princess needed it done the way she had designed it to be.
Also Rarity was very excited about getting the left over materials, she could make so many new designs.
Applejack was standing in her room, looking at the five barrels of apples on the table.
They were the apples that Luna had ordered three days ago from the farm.
A note was pinned to one of the barrels;
Applejack,
If you remember correctly there are 235 apples in all these barrels.
I need you to make your famous apple-cider, not for me or Luna but for a special cause.
There is a door at the end of your room beside your bed, inside is all the needed materials and machines.
I Understand I made it clear for sleep to be your top priority but if you can atleast make one bottle, that would be
all I need.
-Princess Celestia
Applejack let out a sigh, wanting to rest, but she knew she had to do it.
She grabbed one of the barrels with her teeth and began to pull it towards the door.
She opened it and to her amazement inside was a mini-distillery. Apple crushing machines, juice harvester, even an
automatic bottler, they all had instructions on the front of them so Applejack could easily use them.
She had never seen anything like this before. After a few minutes of examining the room she got to work.
Pinkie was in her room skipping around the table, she loved it.
The colours, the walls, the paintings and the stacks of food ingredients on the table.
"Floursugareggscherriessaspirillafooddyebuttermilkcheeselemonsorangestoppingssaltchocolate!"
She was skipping around saying all the ingredients she could see at a tremendously fast pace.
"Breadeggwhitesyolksraspberriesstrawberriesnote!"
She stopped for a moment.
"Note?"
She walked over and looked at it;
Pinkie Pie,
Tonight I need you to make some foods, I do not want any foods that are too sugary or too sweet, these foods are not
for me or Luna, although a cupcake would be nice.
Pinkie giggled at that part.
I need you to make just a few, I still want you to go to sleep at a decent time tonight, there are 3 ovens in a small room
behind the door at your bed, do not worry about any mess you make, I can have some pony come and clean it up.
-Princess Celestia
"Not too sugary or not too sweet? Hmm..."
Pinkie thought for a moment before springing to life and grabbing as much ingredients as she could and running into
the room where the ovens were.
Rainbow Dash closed the door behind her.
She stopped her mumbling and admired the room.
"Not too bad."
She said to herself.
Looking around the room one thing caught her attention.
Not the bucking bag sitting on her table, or even the note, no.
Instead it was the bed.
In the blink of an eye she was from one side of the room standing, to the other, lying in bed.
All were awaiting the morning...
Some notes for you guys; Sorry it took so long to get this chapter out, but atleast it is longer than the others so it should keep you going. I will try have the next one out faster. Some people are probably dissapointed I ended this chapter on a small cliffhanger again but I just wanna say that, it is my style. I seem to end most things with cliffhangers but do not worry, most questions and cliffhangers will be resolved in the next chapter. I am trying not to rush things here. Thanks for reading, and comments are appreciated.
// Uh.. Wow.. It's been a long time since I've updated this story.
I've been very busy over the past few months, and what not, and I'm sorry I never got around to it.
To those who did want an update, you've probably forgotten most of the story. Truth be told, so have I.
I really feel I messed up the story quite a bit with the last chapter, but I may try work around it.
Seeing as the Christmas holidays will be coming up soon, depending on whether or not you guys want an update, I'll do it.
Sorry for the wait..
