The Adventure of Five Friends on an Unknown World

Chapter 2: Meeting With the Main Six

Rainbow Dash was furious, staring down the grayish-black pony before she snorted a bit then looked up at Pinkie who was laughing and joking around with the other cyan pegasis. "Pinkie! We have to take them to Twi and the others, hurry it up!"

Pinkie just looked at dash and smiled before asking, "Can you two please follow me?" Sora looked at Riku with pleading eyes, the grayish-black unicorn just nodding before he slowly climbed the slop that lead to solid ground that had not been inside the ten foot crater that was caused from the orange and red thing they came flying in on. With a grumbling voice Dash followed the silver maned unicorn, ready to charge at him in case anything funny happened.

Just as she got to the top of the crater she swore she could just barely hear a scream, a very silent one at that. After a second her eyes widen as she remembers that Fluttershy was nearby in the yew pens. Before she could fly towards the pens,  he saw out of the corner of her eyes, the dark brown, spike maned pegasis run for the sound of a faint scream first.

"Sora! Get back here!" The silver maned unicorn then chased after his friend, leaving Dash and Pinkie behind.

Going wide eyed, Dash would go to take flight in order to get to her friend, but as soon as she was off the ground she crashed, due to the damaged wing she got from slamming into the force field the strange unicorn produced. Cursing herself, she would get onto her hooves and take off, coming in hot on the tails of the other two that were ahead of her.

Continuing to rush to catch up with them she heard the faint scream again and then her heart felt like it plummeted as she continued to run.

Hearing her friend cry out in fear like that made her heart sink, but she had to shake it off if she ever wanted to get to her fast enough. Gritting her teeth she would force her hooves to surge forward, zooming past the two stallions in front of her, but the wind stung her eyes and she was forced to close them before she even knew where she was heading. She went to open her eyes and she started to skid as she saw something up ahead that she could not believe.

Surrounding the butterscotch coat, winged, and pink maned pony was surrounded by several, pitch black creatures with glowing yellow eyes. The Pink maned mare was whimpering as she stood between the black creatures and the multicolored yews that were in the pen.

Fluttershy's eyes would dilate, her light greenish, blue eyes would seem like two tiny black dots as she shivered in fear of the black creatures slowly coming towards her. Screaming, she would duck her head and cover them using her two front hooves as the black creatures all jumped at her. Rainbow Dash got to her feet and charged forward, bit whenever she was near the creatures she would turn around and skid before she bucked two of the shadows, knocking them into the others and causing them to fly a few feet away.

Despite her amazing kick the creatures were up and rushing at the two mare now. Dash would get ready to attack as the creatures came at her and her friend, bracing herself for an all out fight if they even hurt a single hair on Fluttershy's head.

The creatures would charge at her, but moments before either of them were in range for an attack, someone or somepony in this case, said out loud.

"Riku!"

"Out of my way!"

Rushing in like ghosts, the other cyan pony with spiky, dark brown hair sweped forward with a strange key shaped sword, everything except the handle and guard were made out of silvery metal, while the guard had a solid leather hilt in the center of a yellow square, or rather rectangle to protect Sora's mouth. Riku's keyblade was in his mouth and both of the ponies were floating through the air, each one chaining a hit from the previous one's attack before Riku smirked and said, "Is that all you got?"

After saying that, they charged forward twice in two different barrages of stabbing motions with their swords, each one connecting and seeming to hurt the creatures. As they were ending the combo though, both of them shot back and fired what was a barrage of fireballs, pitch black ones which caused Rainbow Dash to go wide eyed as she saw them both. Both the ponies looked at each other before a clutter of light shone around them and thirteen blades surrounded the two, each blade circling around them and hitting the shadows. They then disappeared and reappeared, repeating the same attack before the two ponies  kicked each other away from the other and threw their weapons into the air.

Riku then says, "You're going to lose it all!" At that point, the weapons faced the black creature and shot black and white fireballs towards them, each one hitting and making each one of the creatures burst, leaving a black mist in it's place that quickly faded.

As both of the ponies landed they smiled and their weapons disappeared, Sora's in a bright light, and Riku's in a dark mist. Slowly Sora would turn towards the two ponies that he had protected with Riku and then say softly, "You got to be more careful around those things."

Glaring, Rainbow Dash would go to strike at Sora, but then she blinks as she sees a white unicorn with a lustrous bluish-purple mane and tail run towards them with a purple unicorn that had dark purple and pink streaks for her mane and tail. Right behind them was an earth pony with an orange coat covering her body, and a golden hay mane with tail. All of them ran over and stopped, surrounding Fluttershy.

Fluttershy talked silently with the three ponies that ran towards them, slowly the white one would look up and smile to the two men that were staring at them. Her dark blue eyes shimmering a bit. "Thank you for helping our dear friend Fluttershy, I am Rarity. Mind if i ask who are you?"

"I am Sora, and this here sourpuss is Riku." Smiling Sora would brace for a hit from his straight faced companion Riku. Taking this chance Riku playfully punched Sora and laughed.

"Come on Sora, you know me better than that. Anyways, who are these two with you Rarity?" Riku would then go straight faced again and nod to the violet eyed, purple unicorn and the orange earth pony with light green eyes who were staring at them.

"They are Twilight Sparkle and Apple Jack." She smiled and first point to the unicorn and then the earth pony.

Twilight slowly put a smile on her face and nods to Sora and Riku. "Hello, it is nice to meet you."

With a slight country accent Apple jack would say, "Howdy yahll, thanks fer hlepin' mah friend Fluttershy."

Pinkie then gasped and then ran in front of twilight. "Twilight! Maybe they can help us with the crystal ponies!"

Twilight looked at her friend Pinkie and began to think as Sora and Riku stood there and looked around. "Riku, i do not think we should leave this place... these ponies need our help. And you know we must help whenever someone or somepony is in need of out help."

"There is no way of me stopping you from doing this, is there Sora?" Sora would just give him a smile as his reply before Riku facehooves himself. "Why do i even bother to ask?"

"Because maybe you like to ask obvious questions?" Sora would smile and then laugh as Riku punches his left foreleg with his right hook.

Smiling and laughing, Sora turns to Twilight and nods before asking, "How can we both help?" With that Twilight smiled and then began to tell them about the current situation that was going on with the crystal ponies. The crystal ponies had been gone over a thousand years and the only hope for them to stay here and defeat the cloud of darkness outside the barrier that was around the place was to have them charge up a crystal heart with their joy and happiness. Though after a bit of trouble they had found out that there was a rare artifact they needed to get in order to save the ponies called, "The Crystal Heart". Sora took all of this and pondered for a bit before nodding. "Well that's were we can come in. We can help keep the ponies happy and try to keep them safe while you find this crystal heart!"
