Our story begins in a world far from Equestria, within a land called the DragonrRealms. Here, many types of dragons resided over the different realms of land. Many places were connected by portals, arcs that allowed almost instantaneous transport for convenience. Along with dragons, were multiple races such as fairies, wizards, and more, yet dragons resided as the main power in the realms.

One particular dragon, was a thirteen-year old purple dragon named Spyro, who was always accompanied by his golden dragonfly, Sparx. Spyro had two orange horns and wings, purple scales all around, and a white underbelly. He had a mischievous but loyal personality. Unlike the other Dragons, he intended to make the most out of his childhood, even if he had to defeat three powerful adversaries and their armies. Of which, he already did so.

In his first big adventure, Spyro was the only dragon not turned into a crystal statue by Gnasty Gnorc, a creature that was a mix between a gnome and orc. Gnasty had a bad attitude and hatred for dragons, and intended to take over the dragon realms. Gnasty was also accompanied by multiple powerful allies who reigned over each separate realms, and his army created by magic and the dragons very own treasure. However, Spyro began freeing the other dragons, defeating his army, and beat Gnasty face to face.

About three months later, Spyro went on his second adventure, in a land called Avalar. He got there through portal malfunction, incited by the locals of Avalar in need of help. He was then informed of a plight from multiple residents of Avalar, including Hunter the cheetah, Elora the faun, Zoey the fairy, and Professor the mole. It was not long till Spyro met his near opposite, a mad wizard named Ripto, who was spreading chaos through Avalar. After some quick bantering, Ripto headed off to take over the nearby homeworld castle. Spyro was then forced to gain support of the locals of all the lands in Avalar, and to chase down Ripto through three different castles, until finishing him in an epic battle. There Ripto fell into a lake of lava, and Spyro was able to return home and enjoy the beaches of dragon shores.

Finally, Spyro’s last, and possibly most important adventure, was in the Forgotten Realms, on the polar opposite side of the world from the Dragon Realms. A sorceress trainee named Bianca, and numerous troops called Rhinocs, raided the Dragon Realms and stole all of the dragon eggs, by order of the queen of the forgotten realms, a large blue lizard named the Sorceress. Bianca and the Rhinocs retreated through odd magic holes in the ground before the dragons could stop them. Spyro, being the only one small enough to fit, followed them through immediately, accompanied by Hunter and Zoey.

In short time, Spyro was informed by a local named Sheila the Kangaroo, that the Forgotten Realms were not only in distress from the Sorceress’s reign, but the magic in all of the lands was fading ever since the dragons were banished long ago. Basically, this meant wizards ego’s were lowering, and portals were shutting down, even isolation some from their homes.

Through help from new friends in the forgotten realms, Spyro fought the Rhinoc armies, recovered the dragon eggs, and defeated the sorceress’s powerful monsters one by one. Bianca, who lead the raid of the dragon eggs, was sent out to try everything in her power to stop Spyro, from traps, to monsters, to spells. However, she formed an emotional bond with Hunter, and realized that her mentor, the Sorceress, was indeed quite evil. As such, she joined Spyro, and led him to the Sorceress herself, leading to her dethroning.

It has been about four months since Spyro had finished his adventure on the other side of the world. All the baby dragons were back home, and the Sorceress no longer reigned over anyone. The biggest problem one would face these days is the occasional bad weather system, and stray violent Rhinoc with rabies.

Spyro had just woken up ready for the day. The young dragon actually had what one would call a nice lifestyle in return for his "world saving". He spent most of his days lounging around and trying to entertain himself. Dragon Shores was already getting old though, and Spyro had not done much in the past few days other than rough house with rams. However, going on massive adventure makes the little things seem even littler.

He walked out across the hills of the Artisan's homeworld with his dragonfly buddy Sparx. The land had come to be a very nostalgic place to him. Right now the other Dragons were doing daily business of either making sure everyone was behaving or taking part in the recent attempts at diplomacy and bureaucracy. Spyro hardly understood what those terms meant, but the dragons had to use it to negotiate with the people's from the Forgotten Realms.

One thing Spyro was very interesting in though, was the Superportal version 2, of which his friend from Avalar, the Professor, was working on. The Professor was intending to use this second Superportal to make it so the dragons could travel to the Forgotten Realms on the other side of the world easier. This, in turn, could help them set up new republics since the Sorceress’ recent dethroning.

Upon coming up to the large arc in the middle of the main castle complex of the Artisans, Spyro saw the Professor working on the coordinate input keys, while Bianca hung about right near him. The Superportal Version 2.0 was a large, stone archway, with emerald green orbs in the sides of it. The gateway sat on a large circular stone platform, and had three large triangular shapes coming off the top, of which sent and received signals farther. Excited to see some old pals, he ran up quickly and made some conversation.

"So it's about up and running now?" asked Spyro, eying the multiple power orbs on the side of the forty foot arch.

The short mole looked up from the control panel petruding off the side of the Arch, "Just about, I'm making sure the coordinates are perfect this time, don't want another Ripto incident flying through this thing when we turn it on. Not to mention since it is impossible for it to go through the center of our planet, I have to make sure it hooks up to multiple points around the planet in order for it to send one to the target location. Otherwise it'd just bounce back and send you onto one of the moons." replied the Professor.

The paragraph mostly flew over Spyro's head, so Bianca summed it up, "In other words, he's not letting Hunter try any more birthdays as coordinates."

Spyro laughed for a second, then replied, "I just can't wait to be using portals again rather than jumping through those holes in the ground you make. I get all nauseous and what not."

Suddenly, the portal began to hum, and the energy orbs on it blinked rapidly. The Professor simply jumped back from the control panel with a look of bewilderment.

"Professor, did you turn that on?" asked Bianca as she backed away.

The Professor poked his head from the side of the arch and stared at it with surpise, "No, It's acting like it just got connection from somewhere else!"

The Super Portal zapped, and electricity flowed through the arch area, and suddenly opened its gateway of energy. The portal energy swirled and turned purple, while beginning to shake unstably.

"Perhaps it is a good idea to prepare for something big to come through..." suggested Spyro, as he and the others began to back away.

Then, a certain pink dragoness the same age as Spyro, popped up behind him, "Hey Spyro!"

"AH!" screamed Spyro, as the unexpected hello startled him and Sparx forward, and into the portal.

Immediately, the SuperPortal sucked Spyro away, and as things normally do, exploded. A wave knocked the Proffessor, Bianca, and the dragoness back, as the arch sat there charred. Everyone there stared in shock, as the pink dragoness named Ember only apologized with "Oops..."

With spinning, colors, and all out confusion, Spyro crashed hard into some grass. He rolled forward with a hard hit on his head. Sparx the dragonfly landed on his snout, just as out of things as Spyro at the time.

"That's not what I expected..." said a feminine voice.

"Is that a little dragon?" asked another voice.

"Twilight, ah think your spell is awry, that is not a dragonslayer, it's a living dragon!" exclaimed a more southern voice.

"That's odd, It says right here in Starswirl's book that this should summon a powerful dragon slayer from another world, not a dragon..." said the first voice.

Spyro coughed and stood up, while his vision began to come back. His head hurt, and now he could make out multiple figures around him, "Alright, where am I this time?"

Upon his vision clearing, Spyro saw six ponies in front of him. The ponies in front of him looked at him in confusion, while Spyro was feeling a sense of deja vu from the first time he was in Avalar. The one in the center was a purple unicorn, of which was levitating a book with magic emanating from her horn. To her sides were a orange pony, a rainbow pegasus, a pink and yellow pegasus, a white and purple unicorn, and a all out pinkie pony.

"Alright, who are you?" asked a male voice.

"What?" asked Spyro, turning his head and causing Sparx to fall off his snout.

"Who are you?" asked the voice again, of which was a small purple dragon walking from behind the purple unicorn, "You're not a jerk like the other dragons we've met, are you?"

Spyro stared at the group for a second, as Sparx woke up and flew up beside him, "Uh, I'm Spyro..."

The ponies looked at each other unsurely, while the pink one responded "Hi! I'm Pinkie Pie!"

Spyro stared at the Pinkie, looked around, and stared at Pinkie again, "May I ask why I am here? Do you need me to fight someone, because I have been doing that a lot... Though first I'd like some explaining to be done..."

"So you're not like the other dragons?" asked the other purple, yet wingless dragon.

"I am like the dragons I know, I guess, but looking around here, yin's probably don't know of the dragon realms..." answered Spyro unsurely.

The purple unicorn trotted up closer to Spyro, eyeing him all over "Well, you seem docile enough. I'm Twilight Sparkle, and this is my assistant Spike."

Spyro looked at Spike, "Are you a lizard, or some strange dragon type thing? All of the other dragons I know have wings and horns..."

Spike quickly replied in a defensive manner, "I am dragon, obviously!"

Twilight spoke up again, "Over here is Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Fluttershy, Applejack, and Pinkie who already introduced herself."

Twilight put out a hoof, and Spyro shook it back, still looking everything. The stench of awkwardness was still very strong.

"So, I'm going to ask again, why did you bring me here?" asked Spyro.

Twilight chuckled, turned to the others, whom shrugged, and turned back to Spyro.

"I was trying to summon, a... specialist, if you will, to deal with a problem we have..."

Spike suddenly interrupted "There is a black dragon that stole the Elements of Harmony, and we were looking for a dragon slayer from another land to kill it."

"Spike!" Said Twilight, glaring at him.

"What, I am just laying it on him flat!" Responded Spike a bit snarkily.

Spyro coughed, and asked "So, you do have dragons here then?"

Twilight turned back, "Yes, but we know little about them, other than that this black one is very malicious and seems to be plotting something big. Without the Elements of Harmony, there isn't far to much we can do."

Spyro looked a Sparx, who made a shrug gesture, and replied to Twilight, "Well, I am not malicious or evil, and what could be a better expert about dragons than an experienced dragon himself." Spyro finished with a bit of mischievous smirk.

Twilight smiled, it appeared this was actually working out, "So you can help us?"

"Sure, I've helped free a whole land before! This shouldn't be too hard... But I want to know if you can send me back." asked Spyro.

"Sure we can!" assured Twilight.

"Good, but first I think I need to rest, because my head hurts... and... I feel...... " Before he could finish his sentence Spyro suddenly felt light headed, and fell to the ground before blacking out.
