Chapter 16- War of the spoons

RD POV

Sweet Celestia I love this soup.  It’s been so long since I had some, ever since that day. I shuddered as I remembered that day, that ladle hurt. Well anyway back to eating soup. NOM NOM NOM

Around 30 minutes later…

I shouldn’t have eaten all that soup. It’s declared war on my stomach and is winning. I look over at Matt and he’s still eating it. Spike and Twilight look full and also shocked as Matt keeps eating food. Wow Pinkie might have finally met her match.

“Um… why are you staring at me?” he said with one of his eyebrows raised.

“I never seen anypony eat that much food , do all Humans eat this much?” Twilight said

He started laughing. I am starting to like his laugh, it’s really awesome.

“Well, normally I don’t eat this much, but before I had saved Dash here, I had not eaten for about 2 days, so I’m making up the difference.” I blushed when he mentioned saving me, I still have to pay him back for that.

“But you have been eating a lot lately without a lot of working out so you BMI could be changing in a negative way” I have no idea what she said, egghead as usual. I don’t Matt understood it either.

“Dash, did you understand any of that, cause all I heard was working out and negative way?”

“Nope, you got to lean that Twilight is an egghead and something’s she says don’t make that much sense”

“I think you’re on to something there Dash, maybe Twilight should take some…” he was cut off by Twilight throwing a spoon at his head. It stopped about 2 inches from his face, and flew right back at Twilight. She epped and ducked under the table. The spoon went under the table after her. She screamed and ran into the library, spoon still chasing her. By this time me and spike were rolling on the floor laughing, but stopped when a large book hit Matt in the head, knocking off his hat. It landed in the sink which was filled with water. Matt suddenly stood up and went to the sink, pulling out his wet hat. The room got deathly quiet. He looked the hat over and I swear his eyes turned red.

“OH IT IS ON” He yelled .Twilight giggled and got another book ready. Before she could throw it, 5 spoon’s she had flew towards her. She screamed and ducked. Matt  and the rest of us where  laughing as they continued to follow her around the room. Suddenly 4 books flew by us and hit Matt hard in the head. I gasped as he stumbled back and nearly fell over. I saw blood start to run down his face. Twilight gasped.

“Matt, I’m so sorry, I didn’t mean to hit you that hard” he raised his hand up and she stopped talking. I suddenly had a bad feeling in my guts.

“You wanna play it like that huh, okay lets have some fun” his normally happy voice was now very calm and had no emotion in it. Suddenly every single spoon rose up from the cabinets and table.

“Um Spike, I think we should duck” he followed my advice and me and him ducked under the table. All of the spoons zoomed after Twilight who ran out of the library as fast as she could. The spoons followed her out. We got back up from under the table.

“MATT, WHY DID YOU DO THAT” Spike yelled at Matt looking very angry. He turned around and faced us. Blood was still coming down from his face. He did’t look that scared of Spike.

“Does this look like a reason why to you and besides those spoons will only chase her for about 10 minutes, so no worries” I had a different view than Spikes.

“MATT THAT WAS AWESOME, YOU SHOWED HER” he gave me a weak smile and collapsed and fell on the floor. I flew over to him. He was knocked out and blood was still pouring from a cut on his head

“Matt MATT, oh horseapples, Spike stay here, I’m going to get Rarity, she knows some Healing spells.” I flew out the door as fast as I could. When I got to Rarity’s, I saw that she and AJ where talking to each other. I flew down and landed right next to them.

“Hey Rainbow, do yall know why Twi was being chased by spoons?”

“Yeah, and besides Matts hurt, Rarity I need you to come with me QUICK”

“Oh my, what happened?”

“I’ll explain when we get there, NOW COME ON.” They looked at each other and ran to the library with me. On the way over, I could see Twilight running in the distance, spoons still after her. I held the laugh in.

When we got to the Matt, he was had stopped bleeding but was still knocked out. Rarity and AJ gasped when they saw him.

“What in tarnation happened?”

“Yes, what did happen?”

“Less Talky more Healy, I’ll tell you after that” Rarity’s horn glowed and the cut sealed, and then disappeared.  The blood disappeared, and he looked a lot better. He was still knocked out, but I guessed that he would come out of it in a bit.

“So Rainbow dear, could you explain what happened?” AJ nodded in agreement.

“Well, Matt had gotten some soup from the…” I told them the story and by the end of it, I had 2 different reactions.

“OH, does that mean I get to fix his hat for him, I have so much planned. I’m going to MERPH” she was cut off by AJ sticking a hoof in her mouth like she does with Applebloom.

“Yes Rairty that’s nice and all, but what ah’m wondering is how he got bread from the soup shop. That pony doesn’t like anypony.” Rarity nodded in agreement. The 3 of us began talking but was stopped by Matt suddenly waking up.

“Well I’m SO glad that everyone was worried sick about me getting knocked out, it really warms my heart” his voice was dripping with sarcasm. All 3 of us suddenly turned around to see Matt standing up, looking a little bit annoyed.

“Were sorry, we kinda got a little bit of topic“ AJ said

“It’s ok” he grumbled rubbing his head. Just then, Twilight ran back into the library, spoons still following her.

“MATT I’M SORRY; PLEASE MAKE THEM STOP CHASING ME.” He smiled and the spoons went back to where they came from.

“I accept you apology, but you still ruined my hat. So…” I guess Rarity took this as her cue.

“I would be happy to fix it for you, I was planning on” she was cut off by Matt

“I will let you fix my hat under 1 rule, YOU WILL NOT CHANGE ANYTHING TO THIS HAT, if you do I swear I will make it that every single metal thing you have in your shop will stick to the ceiling.”  I suddenly rememberd Twilight running away from the spoon’s, I started laughing and soon everypony even Matt was laughing.

“Um, why were we laughing?” Spike asked

“ I have no idea, laughter is infectious” I started laughting again and it happened all over again. Rarity of course had to go and spoil it.

“If you don’t mind,but I will take some time for me to fix it darling.” Matt gave the most confused look after Rarity had said darling.

“That’s fine, but I am a man of my word”

“Matt, what is it with you and that hat.” I asked him, this had been bothering me for a while.

“1, its awesome, 2 it’s awesome and 3, it’s really comfortable” The hat was awesome, but now it was stained and dripping wet. He gave Rarity the hat.

“Hay, has anyone seen Pinkiepie lately” I had’t seen her since the party. Everypony and Matt all shrugged.  Pinkie suddenly popped out from the sink, scaring Matt and everpony except me.

“I’m right here silly”

“What, how… Is a regular thing with her?” he stuttered looking at me

“Yup, that’s Pinkie for ya” we all stood around for a little bit, not sure what to do. Thankfully AJ saved the day.

“Well ah’m gonna go check on Hoop’s and Dumbbell” she walked towards the door but was stopped by a crashing noise outside. If it’s The Doctor I swear I am going to go buck him up for randomly leaving us and telling us anything else.

Authors Note

I am sorry about not posting a long chapter. I had a 4000 word one done when the power went out and shut down my computer. It took 2 hours for it to come back and when I checked the document this was all that I had left. ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

I will try to post another chapter in a couple of days. Oh and the reason I deleted the update was because I didn’t really need it. So sorry if anyones mad.
