Stuck as a Filly

The Snow on the windowsill glistened and glimmered reflecting a pretty rainbow-like pattern on the ceiling of the large, ornamented library.  This is not the library where I usually write my diary entries but a public library instead.

It was a rather calm winter day, The smell of a hot, fresh coffee beside me and the warmth of the clothes I was given two day before. This day couldn't possibly become hectic it was just to cal-

*THUMP*

The sound of books colliding with the table startled not only me but the entire silent sanctity of the library.

The Criminal behind this crime against silence was none other than my big sister, twilight sparkle.

For all of you keeping track, no, she's not my sister but it makes it easier for me and for her if i just go with it.

Twilight rested her for hooves over the set of books. she was grinning happily at her accomplishment.

I looked the books over, examining each title:

Star swirl the bearded's guide for young unicorns, Magic 101, Magic concept and study, and last but not least

beginners book of alchemy and potions.

"Who are these for?" I ask twilight.

Twilight's grin fades.

"You, obviously" She dead panned. "Remember, I said that after we visit our parents we would hit the library

and borrow some books for you. Are you sure your feeling alright?"

"Of course, on a beautiful day like this who cant be alright?"

"Then why did you ask such a stupid question?" Twilight snapped.

I break out into a cocky grin. "Come on twi, I was just trolling you" I stopped laughing once I realize that joke shot right over her head, horn and all.

"What?, you were.... Trolling me?" Twilight questions.

"Ye-Yea you know, when you say something that would purposely make a fool of someone."

Twilight didn't seemed amused or she just didn't get it. "That's really stupid, Rain." Twilight stated bluntly. Twilight isn't a big fan of my jokes from back home. I never tell her the origins of these jokes. I don't want to hear more of her

"Humans aren't real rants " If she knows, I know about whats going on things may get nasty.

"Twilight, I'm tired. Lets just go back to our library back in Ponyville and celebrate new years together." I mumbled. Twilight looked at me and I looked at her. What am i seeing? Concern? Pity? or perhaps shame and disappointment, yea, that's probably it. Great, here comes the guilt again...

Actually, you know what sis, Lets go to the back study room now. I wan't to try out some of these spells and stuff, Don't you?

I didn't continue looking at her but I knew from the quiet *squee* noise that she was holding in her excitement.

"Come on twi, let it out" I finally demand.

Twilight cheered at the top of her lungs only to be ushered by the old lady librarian manning the secretary office.

"Oops that was kinda unprofessional wasn't it? Come on lets go" Twilight pulled my for hoof over to the back study room. she had a sort of spring in her every step.

This is going to be a long day isn't it. Well its whatever makes twilight happy I guess.
