I have not made anything new in a long time. I think I ran away. From what? I cannot remember. I have been gone so long without any to talk to or anything to think about. I did not just lose track of time I lost the concept of time.
War tried to save me. He told me that primitive things are violent and … not things, beings. Beings? I am a being. I was primitive like War said. No. That is not a nice word. No life is more than another. That must be why I do not like War. Wait, I do not like War? No I do not. I do not think he is bad; we just did not get along well.
I had cared at one time. I learned and taught at one time. One time. I, we ascended; I discovered the inner workings of the multiverse and took my people here. Yet here is nowhere but everywhere. Just higher…higher what? Dimension? No, dimensions do not have measurements; universes do.
Why am I caring now? Why am I thinking? I had nothing new to make. Nothing new to learn. I loved to learn. I loved.

Why am I all of a sudden becoming lucid now?

Like I am not able to understand time right now.
There! That is why. It is a new universe. Yet it is different from all the others around it. So small in comparison and yet stands out like a diamond in the rough. Oh listen to me. I talk as if I have eyes to see and a mouth to speak. I have no form no body to speak of. Enough of me, this universe is far more interesting. The laws of physics are the same as any other universe. Only they can bend so easily in this one.
I want to know more. Knowledge, new knowledge, I have not felt this aware in a long, long time. I hurled my mind into this new universe, and it is…pulling me?
Everywhere just puling and pulling and … gravity? I am feeling the effects of gravity? How? I have no form. I exist but I do not. I simply am. This universe is so strange. It gives me new feelings…no not new forgotten. Wonder, curiosity, excitement, and fear. I have to communicate with the others. There are others? Yes there is. My mind is still broken it seems. Who can I commune with? A name…Macia…Magic…oh Magia! I will seek Magia out.
It has taken a long time but I have found Magia. Magia is a strange one. Magia wants to meet on a physical plane. Communication like that is pointless and too slow. I want to get back to this find, but she will not commune with me otherwise. Because of her I learned a new word; stubborn.
I have arrived. My mind has repaired itself significantly during my search for her. Which I will need a sharp mind to explore this new world. That is not right it is not a world it is a universe but my mind seems to be trying to simplify my own thoughts.
Magia is here already; I made a small world inside an empty universe for us. It was just a rock in the middle of nowhere. I did not know I could do that, I think I felt surprised when I did it…or just remembered the feeling.
We pushed out minds onto the new planet and Magia took form out of nothingness. I found that Magia had a wonderful imagination, something I very much lacked in. Magia made herself a large deer; but where the head would be was an upper torso of what looked like a great ape, well I am not sure what an ape is but it looked like that to me, but there were no eyes or mouth on the face just a pair of slits for breathing and Feathered wings were at the shoulders instead of arms. I however chose a very simple form for this meeting. A four legged canine of sorts, I believe we called it a dog.
As I approached she opened her wings with the tips straight up revealing a pair of large eyes embedded in the wings.
The molecules around me started vibrating in a pattern that caused me tense up my body. This creature has some very cautions instincts. I, however, was wondering what was making this happen. Molecules move all the time, but there was a pattern to it. It was almost like the universe itself was trying to communicate to me.
“Hello?”

“Creation?”
It is like ripples in the pond of space.
“CREATION!”
The source seems to be getting violent.
Magia, do you sense those waves of oxygen and carbon around us?

“Are you referring to my voice?”

Somehow Magia had a look to her body that told me she was amused and irritated at the same time. It impressed me that she did this with no real face. Wait her upper torso was her face. Her “face” was bigger than the rest of the body, but was shaped in a ways that it was her body. Amazing! Is this why I thought of her first?
She? Her? Oh yes Magia was female, well we really do not have genders, but I think we can identify with a gender. Some of my memories tell me she was once my student and that I brought her with the rest of us. Student? I was a teacher? I thought I was once a scientist. My own mind frustrates me so.
However with this new understanding I do see a very feminim shape to her body, but no clear lines of gender was expressed.
Creation, will you please speak to me like you used to?

“It is just an amazing place!” I said with such excitement. “There are things there I cannot explain. Do you know how long it has been since I have had a conundrum like this?!”
I changed my body again; I was a fox that had a complex larynx for speaking. So much flooded into my mind after Magia enter my thoughts and immersed herself there. I knew what I liked, I knew what I could do, I knew so much more basic concepts of life, and I knew who I was.
As I rode on Magia back I changed the world around us. With each step plants grew, basic life became, and the air became a lot less hostile. I would make this into a garden world before I left. I even made a star for the planet to circle. It was not hard, all of the compounds were there, and I would just have to combine them appropriately. I was setting an example for Magia
“This world and every world work on similar rules. Rules I know and can follow.” I said “Sure there are variations but none I could not adapt to easily. This new universe is different. Every rule can be bent, not just a little no, at a 90° angle! All it takes is a little will of power, or is it power of will? It is natural but unnatural.”
“So you have never come across this before?” asked Magia. It amazes me that she could speak with no mouth or anything. What she was doing was vibrating her feather tips like the vocal cords in my current body’s larynx. Her “voice” sounded like an instrument.
“No, I have not.” I said definitively.
“Well do you have a name for it? I know how you like your list and labels.” I do?
“I do not, but that part makes me happy. So much could become of this new world. Only half of this world can be explained with science, it reminds me of the early days of dark matter.”
Magia giggled and then replied. “I haven’t seen you like this in such a long time. In fact I don’t think there is a measurement for how long it’s been since I’ve seen you close to happy. So there is no name for this … thing that makes up half of this world?”
“Yes I have said that” I told her a little irate about repeating myself to her.
“Well”, she continued, “dark matter had a name before we knew what it was. You know a long time ago we had a word for things that amazed us but we didn’t understand.”
“Oh, really?” My ears perked up, “What?”
“Magic.”

Yes that would describe my opinion of this place.
Those being who exist in this multi-verse think we are gods and can do anything. We are not and cannot; we play by rules and pull at strings to cause a reaction. Oh! I just used a metaphor. My time with Magia has already expanded mind a great deal. I think I feel…excitement? Or is it just a memory again? I am still questioning my own thought for my mind is still in pieces, but I am no infant trying to walk for the first time. Like now I know what time is, and it scares me how old I am. I am sure that if it was not for this new universe I would have lived in the dark recesses of my mind for a very long time.
After my meeting with Magia I started making my way back to this new universe. Magia told me that her mate would join me there. I wanted her to come with me, but she told me that she could not and that her mate used to be an assistant of sorts to me. I did not think to ask her why.
My first goal is to observe the life in this universe as their very will could reshape the world around them.
I am finding myself very disappointed. Every world that starts to develop sentient life quickly falls in disharmony due to every creature wanting their way. Causing their eco systems to crash; some going as far as to force their planets rotation to stop and causing a tidal lock where one side is always night and the other is always day. Effectively freezing and cooking the planet.
No matter how many times I pluck a few string of gravity or time to their favor they mess it all up. I almost gave up, as I pondered over latest failed planet, when Magia mate showed up.
Omega! Good to see you! So how long will you stay sane this time! I heard you found yourself a distraction of sorts. I must admit this place is so different from everywhere else. Oh, how I love it!
After a pause I responded, Who are you? Please do not refer to me as Omega, and you do not have eyes.
My, are you that far gone? It me, Chaos! I’m just teasing you Creation, jeez, and it’s a figure of speech.

You would think I would be frustrated but I do not have emotions, I think this Chaos was trying to be funny. It seems to me that I knew and trusted this person…to a point. He seemed to be a very eccentric being but had much wisdom to him. I can see why Magia is enticed by this one.

Let’s move on. I can see why you like it here. The potential rate of diversity among sentient life is beyond anything we’ll every see again! I really am tired of seeing the same bipedal shapes with hands. Sure we get the occasional tentacle creature but nothing much more. I can see some of them becoming gods like us.
Suddenly a nerve was struck and I found myself angry. Angry for the first time in a very long time.

And that was the response I was hoping for. Sorry Creation, but I wanted to test you. I wanted to see if you still hold on to your beliefs; ya’know the ones that made me and you so unpopular with the others? This world seems like a perfect place to even the playing fields with the other self-proclaimed gods.

A lot of angry thoughts came flooding into my mind, but it soon became laughter.
I always say if there is a problem you can ether fix it or laugh about it, and there is no fixing you. Any who we want to call our offspring Discord.
“Watcha got there Twilight?” The dragon assistant Spike asked. The question startled Twilight so much she dropped the old book she was reading.
“Oh, Spike, sorry I wasn't paying much attention. It’s an old book that I thought would help with the assignment Celestia gave me.”
Twilight and Spike have been back in the castle now for 2 weeks. Their presence was requested when an international dispute sparked questions about the elements of harmony. Some nations have gone as far as to call them weapons rather than a source of peace and harmony.
This soon become the center of the debate and Twilight found all eyes on her as she started an impartial endeavor into the history of the Elements.
“Thought?” Spike asked catching on to Twilights disappointed voice.
“Yes,” replied Twilight while picking the old tome up. “It was in the archives but there was no record of it. On top of that just by looking over the book I’m sure it predates Starswirled himself. Unfortunately it just seems to be just some old story.”
“So no luck then?” asked Spike.
“No, none at all,” answered Twilight “when Celestia asked me to find out more about the history of the elements I thought everything would be in the archives.”
“Tell me about it!” replied Spike, “we’ve been at it for weeks now with nothing to show.”
“I know Spike,” Twilight replied solemnly, “we may just have to check out other resources.” “Would you mind putting this book back?” Twilight asked her assistant. “I don’t think will take me anywhere.” She hoofed it over to Spike and dropped it in his claws. The old tome landed hard in his claws and spat out a column of dust in all directions, tickling Spike’s nose.
“Oh n-“spike barely had a moment to utter before he sneezed engulfing the old book in his enchanted fire.
“Oh no, that book was anci- what, how?” the said book wasn’t even blackened. “Wow I never have seen anything not be burned or transported by your fire. There may be more to this book than I thought I’m going to have a better look at this book.”
“Like how twilight?” asked Spike not sure what she could be looking for.
“Well it’s too late to get any assistance with any other department” replied Twilight realizing how tired she had become. With that she scooped up the book and made her way out of the archives.
“Assistance in what?” asked spike as he tried to keep up with the lavender unicorn. “Why don’t you just finish reading it?”
“Old tomes like this, Spike, can tell you a lot if you discover fact like who wrote it, how old it is, and even what it’s made out of. Your right though I might find out more if I continue to read it.”
Rays of light shone softly through the windows of Twilight’s chambers, like pillars making its way to Celestia’s sun, rousing the lavender unicorn from her sleep. As if to greet the morning, she raised her head let a soft yawn escape her mouth.
“Come on spike we still have wor-” she cut herself off when she discovered her lifelong assistant was absent from his basket. She started to get up from under her blankets when she felt something warm next to her hidden in the covers. Gently pulling the blankets to the end of her bed she found that the little drake had snuck into her bed last night and curled up next to her. Smiling at the endearing scene in front of her, she move closer and softly woke him up.
“Spike its morning” she cooed into his ear. She frowned when he didn’t even stir. She tried again, this time with a tap of her hoof. “Spike?” … still nothing.
“Spike wake up.” An incoherent grumble was his response.
“Spike!”
The moment perfectly ruined, Spike snapped awake to an angry mare next to him.
“Twilight what wrong?!” he took a moment to look around and noticed where he was at, turning back to the angry unicorn he rubbed the back of his neck and smiled sheepishly as scarlet filled his cheeks. The look on his face caused the mare to recover a little of the moment, giving him a happy smile as she made her way out of the bed.
This sudden change just left poor Spike confused. He just shook his head and moved on.
“What are we going to do today?” asked the dragon as he made his own way out of bed.
“Same thing we do every day Spike.” She answered, hardly giving the conversation any real attention as her own thought were wondering the same.
“Try to take over Equestria?” he asked with a false tone of sincerity.
“What?” she quickly asked slightly confused
“Nothing.” The drake just smiled at her.
Twilight paid him no mind and made her way to the wash room for her morning routine.
Spike, already knowing what she would plan this morning, started gathering quills and parchment into a saddle bag for her. Sparing room for the old tome on the night stand next to the bed, he grasped it in both claws as Twilight made her way back into the room, freshly groomed, her ears perked up upon seeing her assistant pulling a book off the table, “oh I know what we need to do,” she floated the old book out of Spike’s claw, “I wanted to get this book looked at, I bet Old Bones can tell me a thing or two about it.” She finished what her assistant started and placed the book in her saddle bag and the bag on her.
“Hop on Spike, we are going straight to work.” She said in an almost sing along tone, but as soon as he landed a growling noise surprised the two. Spike couldn’t help but giggle at his friend. Twilight turned to glare at him but as soon as she did his stomach made its own protest, now it was twilight’s turn to laugh.
“Ok, why don’t we stop by the kitchen first?” she asked.
“Sounds like a plan” he answered with a smile.
Old Bones was the resident archeologist and historian at the castle. Only in her late 20s, she loathed her name and preferred to be called just Bones.
The archives have been home to Twilight Sparkle and Spike for the last two weeks, so it was hardly a surprise to Old Bones when the duo showed up at her office.
“Come in come in you two,” the mare said, happy to have a distraction from her own studies, “I heard about your assignment, and I knew I would see you two eventually.”
Twilight observed the unicorn as she made her way to her desk. Her mane and tail were a soft blond that sported, unkempt, natural curls, and dark ringlets under her eyes showed that this olive colored mare kept her career that the forefront of her life.
“So what may I do for you Ms. Sparkle?” Bones asked once she was situated
Twilight levitated a dark brown, rather beaten up, old tome with no title out of her saddle bag. “What can you tell me about this?”
Bones plucked the book out of the air with her own magic.
“Oh wow this is an old one, look” she ran circles with her hoof over the book, “you can tell it predates Equestria because the binder is leather. The early Equestrian ponies have never used leather in anything. They believe using the skin of another animal to be atrocious. Such ideas have faded over time but the habits are still around.”
“So you will never find leather bound books unless it predates the founding of Equestria.” Twilight said with the same enthusiasm, “I noticed that to, it’s what drew me to it.”
Bones didn’t mind the interruption; it was nice to have another intellectual to talk to for once. Her job mostly involved passing on her understanding to the politics of Canterlot.
“Unfortunately that only tells us it predates an era, I can use a spell that a lot of us in our area use to date objects. Just give me a moment Ms. Sparkle.”
Twilight nodded and backed up.
Bones opened the book and read a few pages. When she was done skimming through it her horn began to glow and a yellow matrix engulfed the book and lifted it off the desk. After a few moment of just hovering in the air it was set down back on the desk.
Once the light show was over Bones had a dark and confused expression on her face.
Spike noticed it first, “what’s wrong Bones?”
“I had to check it over and over again,” she almost whispered, “at first I thought I did the spell wrong, and then I just couldn’t believe it…”
“Couldn’t believe what Bones?” Twilight asked.
“The book’s age, it’s over 5000 years old” Bones darken face seem to have ridden on her voice, for as Twilight herd the answer her express began to match Bones.
Spike, however, didn’t even know he was missing the point. “Wow, so it’s really old.” Both mares slowly turned their heads to the young drake, a dead, unexpressed look stayed with them as they stared at the poor thing.
“What?! What did say,” he paused, what am I missing?”
Bones spoke up first “The earliest known written records are only 3500 years old”
“And the ponies have only been around, as far as we know, for 4000 years” added Twilight.
“So it was written by a non-pony?” Spike pushed on
Bones’ expression soften in her response, “it's possible, it is in Latin after all”
Suddenly Twilight’s ear perked up,” no its not it’s English, I been reading it all night, and I don’t speak vowel of Latin.”
“Funny,” Spike spoke up, “I, I thought the book was in dragon runes.” Spike found both mares staring at him again.
“Twilight?” said Bones without taking her eyes off him.
“Yes?”
“Is it true that dragons are born with some knowledge of their kind?”
“Yes but spike was hatch by magic so a lot of that was lost, he could talk early on though” she answered.
Spike did not like the mares talking as if he was not there, “and I could read ya know! You even used me to translate some runes for you when you were just a filly; remember?”
Twilight’s whole face seem to widen at the realization, “he’s right!” she turned to face Bones, “he could read runes before he could talk properly. Spike you’re a genius!”
“What did I do?” asked Spike even more confused now.
“I think I see now!” Bones’ excitement was beginning to catch up with Twilight’s. “The book is enchanted, anyone can read it.”
“But what’s wrong with it being so old?” Spike was still a few steps behind the mares.
“Because it’s too old”, answered Bones
“It shouldn’t exist”, finished Twilight.
Spike was starting to get annoyed with the vague answers, especially after they started talking, almost, as one. “Ok, pretend that I'm a baby dragon who is only an assistant of a certain unicorn; why would the age of this book be a problem?” Twilight gave him a toothy, apologetic smile.
“Because it predates books,” answered Bones, “this find has opened a new door into ancient history.” Bones was trying so hard to keep you excitement at bay. “What’s even better is that it’s a journal of some kind.”
“Wait what?” Twilight perked up in surprise, “No it’s not its fiction; it has to be. How much did you read?” Twilight seemed a little exasperated.
“Not much, but the book is in the first person, any writing we have ever found in the first person that was 500 year old or more was always a journal or autobiography. Writing anything fictional in the first person was almost like lying. Whoever this book is about” she tapped the tome, “he existed.”
Chaos was right. The life forms in this universe are so different from each over. Magic is a new building block in the process of evolution. Thanks to Chaos’ abilities the likelihood of sentient life has gone up almost 32%! A mutation here a super nova there and out of random and sometime violent occurrences more potential life was emerging. I can only build with what I have, Chaos can make new atoms for me to bend and create with. If I need to flood an empty rock of a planet with carbon and iron; then he makes a star go nova and I have my material.
We have been at this for such a long time that I am starting to forget what time was. Chaos says we need to take a breather. I told him we don’t have lungs. After one of our many augments on our nonexistent anatomy, he told me I should go see Gaia.

Eventually Chaos had his way. He said he would no longer help me if did not go and see Gaia. Every time I left my heaven my mind sunk even deeper and I became lost. I found myself inverting to my most basic thoughts o…- bees are such a basic creature with almost no intelligent there but the structure of their hives are so complex that many have thought that were sentient. What are bees?

I found myself floating through a bright orange and yellow fluid it was so warm. I don’t think I have skin to feel temperature. In fact I am not sure how I got here. Here? Where is here? I was not here I was taken here. Someone took me here. That someone was here right now in the warm orange and yellow fluid.

Suddenly my mind opened up to the world around me.
The swirling condensed plasma of hydrogen and helium not only surround me, it was flowing through me, from me even. It was a star. I am in a star? I am in a star!! I was surrounded by the very building blocks of not just life but everything. The tremendous energy and heat all around me, the magnificent power, baffled me and propelled me into an estate of trepidation that I would not come down from.
With this I learned the purpose of a face: expression. I just didn’t know what to call the face I was making.
Face? I have a face? I explored the front of my previously unknown face with my paws; I could feel pointed ears on top, muzzled jaw, and two eyes.
Paws? I…I was a fox again wasn’t I? I seem to have an affinity to this form. I am a fox…inside a star?
Gaia how is this body not incinerated?

Nope, it’s made out of hydrogen, your own invention in a way; ya called it a fire fox when ya first showed me. It thrives inside a star; you made it so we could have our private moments. That and how many people can say they’ve had a date inside a star?

Suddenly my eyes focused on another fox that was with me. Her body was translucent in a way that the plasma that made up this star was flowing right through her. Yet I could make out features like fur, eyes, even the color of this impossible creature. What could the eyes be made out of that could allow us to see through the thickness of this stellar body. I want to ask Gaia but I have the feeling only I knew the answer. Wait she is getting closer really close. How is she moving? There is no surface to walk on. Again I think I know the answer but I cannot remember.
Oh wow she is inches from my face. I need to stop going in and out of my thoughts it could be the end of me…although I think I am immortal.
Ya don’t remember me do you? I can feel so much sorrowfulness in the thoughts she was giving me.

Physical bodies made the conversation awkward at least that is how I felt. Gaia is even closer down. Wait felt? I was feeling again? Why did I not notice it before? I seem to be slipping in and out of the inner workings of my mind. What was I doing? Oh yes Gaia had a question.

I did not want to tell her that I remembered; I do not know when I will slip into the darkness of my mind again and become a mindless drone. Gaia’s presents seem to be pulling my mind from the darkness even more so than Magia. I will give her no reason to leave my side.

It takes a long time to leave a star, even as living energy, so Gaia had time to fill me in on the events I missed in my lobotomized state. Apparently when I left my jewel of a universe I forgot what I was heading out to do. One of the ‘others’ found me adrift and told Gaia. She brought me back here to help me come back. According to her I was out long enough for the worlds to start evolving complex creature of all types, some we never seen anything similar to before.
What I found outside the star was the perfect planetary system. A planet system like this was Gaia talent, and man was she good at it.

Yep, both me and Chaos, we've been at it for a while. We can’t make life like you can but we can arrange a few pieces to the process.

We were traveling through the system…no not travel. We have a level of omnipotence that makes travel unnecessary for us. Its more like shifting our attention.

My way of thinking is becoming more colorful.
We pushed our minds into the planet and I was already thinking about ways to make this planet habitable for complex life.
The others are here with me on this barren planet. Chaos, Gaia, Magia, and me; Creation; I do not think it was the ‘magic’ in this universe that brought me back from the brink of a lost mind. For at this moment, among my friends, I am more self-aware then I have ever been. Everything is not just atoms and laws to me. I remember so much more.
Gaia, oh Gaia my memories of you makes me long for ages long since passed. Chaos you always made things fun. Magia, I have never met someone more loving of life then you. Here among me was part of my old team; our goal was to help the mulit-verse produce complex life forms of all types. Gaia would make the perfect planets, Chaos and Magia would stir up the land and animals introducing enough variations to increase the odds of what we wanted, and I directed it all.
There was more was there not? Oh yes! There was War he led the way for natural selection, and the rest…oh so much is still in a fog. I can feel the pain of loss for the first time; no not the first time. I am remembering it, but now, for the first time, I feel pain for my memory loss. It was just an annoyance to me before, but now I seem to be understanding what I loss.
I seem to be remembering terms that that I did not recognize before: sheep, bear, volcano, date (that one made me feel happy) scars, wood, and so many more.

Something told me it was Magia that yelled at us as we descended into the atmosphere of this planet. The planet had so little pressure that the clouds were made of hydrogen, this was not going to be ideal for any form we take. There is also tons of carbon dioxide built up under the crust; most likely from early volcanic activity. This gave me an idea.
Wait everyone it will be easier to take form if the air here is less hostile. Chaos I need your help, there is carbon dioxide trapped underground all across this world. Release it for me.
If Chaos had a face I’m sure he would be smiling at me like I just gave him a present.

I’m really finding it easy to express myself lately; I am certain now that my reclamation is due to my friends.
Refocusing on my work I started shredding the oxygen molecule apart from the CO2. The carbon becoming lighter floated up into the atmosphere giving this place more pressure; which is what I wanted for my next action. Turning my attention to the hydrogen clouds I discharged the oxygen into them and soon the desired affect took hold all across this world almost all at once.

Taking that as a cue I used all the other chemicals discharged by Chaos’ fissures and (in what would have taken millenniums to happen on its own) I forced photolytic bacteria to form all over the newly formed oceans. This resulted in trillions of cubic tons of oxygen to make up the majority of the atmosphere. When the sky turned from a brown green to a blue I let everyone know it was safe.
I knew that my friends would take their favorite forms but I could not remember what they were so I was looking forward to this meeting of ours on the surface. For Magia living things was her talent so she took form faster than any of us could. The overall shape she took was a humanoid… humanoid? I know the description but I do not know what a human is; Magia is good with creatures off all types, I will ask her after the meeting.
Oh she is done! Her head is much different from rest of her, with a deer antler on the right side of her head, a goat horn on the left, one long fang, and a lion like mane covered her head in a feminine way that I would describe as cute. She has the right arm of a lion, the left claw of an eagle, the right leg of a lizard, and the left leg of a goat. In addition, she has a bat's right wing, and a feathered left wing. Despite her standing straight on two legs she had a dragon-like snake's tail with a white tail tuft. Besides the mismatched parts she seemed to have a gray coat of fur with what I would assume would be a bust on her chest. What stuck out the most was not what she had but what she lacked; a nose, not even holes for nostrils it was just two yellow eyes with red pupils and a mouth with that one long fang sticking out when she smiled. Such a kind and warm smile she had.
Wait I can ‘see’ her smile. Yes I took a form; I seemed to have done it without thinking much about it. That must mean this is my favorite form. I seem to take on an great ape like creature only…let us see…not much of a tail in fact I am completely bipedal, really dexterous hands and my nose was small and pointed. Oh goodness, am I hairless? No, but almost, seems most of my hair is on my head and tail. It is white, why? Am I old? Might be a hormonal problem. Oh what useless feet for an ape, the toes are nowhere near as dexterous my hands, although I think I could run better than I can climb, that might be the point. Why did I choose such an ugly creature?
“Um, Creation if you’re going to take that form can you put some pants on?” Magia asked not really looking at me, some red color seemed to be accenting her face.
“What are pants?” I asked her in response.
“Oh goodness no,” was all I got for an answer.
“Just remove your gender Creation.” A powerful voice said above me. My eyes slowly made its way up towards the sky to find an excessively long snake like creature that was so large it took up most of the sky above Magia. It was grass green with a yellow underbelly and red spines; the massive head donned a loose mane with yellow tips. No wait it had four, very useless, legs. Why is it so freaking big? It is colossal no it is, oh I have not words! Only one of us besides Magia would make something so, over the top, but what was this absurd creature?
“Chaos! What in Tartarus are you?” Tartarus? What was a Tartarus?
“Dragon.” Oh, I knew that.
Chaos gave me a smile as he brought himself closer. A creature this size without being crushed under its own weight was impossible…no not here it is not it is…bending the rules.
“Chaos are you using magic to make that form possible?” I yelled at him, I was not surprised or overwhelmed, any more; I am just not sure how well he could hear me all the way up there.
“Sorry I don’t talk to naked men.” That was not the answer I expected.
“Naked? Men? What?” too many terms in that sentence that I did not understand.
“Just remove your gender; it will make us more comfortable.” I complied with his request. When I was done someone named Ken came to mind, I do not know who that is.
“Are you happy Chaos? Now answer my question; are you using mag-” the ground before me gave way as another great ape like creature rose up out of the ground like a plant. No it was a plant. No wait it’s an ape…I have found myself
confused… again. This one was tailless with green leafy skin and like me there was gender expressed in the body but none there at all, but she was defiantly female. This had to be Gaia as she was the only one left.
“Gaia is that a random mixes of creatures like Magia’s?” I asked as she looked at me.
“Not really dear, it’s a wood nymph, kinda like the mermaid of the forest.” I had no idea what ether one of those was.
Gaia would not take her eyes off me as she studied my face, she seem to be really keen on getting my attention for some reason but that was redundant as I was already focused on her. I turned my attention back to Chaos. Gaia suddenly looked hurt, was she expecting something from me? Why not just tell me?
“Chaos, my question.” My speech pattern seems to be changing. I think I might be irate.
“What question?” he asked with a smirk.

I felt like I was falling, but slowly. As I sank further and further into this abyss a sensation of drowning came over me, but I seem to be still breathing. It was almost a relief when my mind once again became devoid of feelings and emotions but unlike last time I sank even deeper into my own depravities. Hours and hours went by, the deep pressure swelling around me become my new world my only comfort, and still I sank. It is just like the last couple of times only I am not blacking out I am still self-aware and can relay my thoughts to you. You? Wait, who? Who are you? Have I address you before? Where it is dark. I did not like the emptiness here. So I made Khaos and Khronos. It worked out so well I made Gaia, Tartaros, and Eros. Eros changed it all; I even renamed her to ProCreation since it was her idea to further life, she did not like it so I told her to choose any name for herself, she did. Magia. Asked her why, she told me because life is full of magic and she was full of life.
Some time went by and our number swelled. Because I was the first, I lead my people and taught every one that joined our ranks. I eventually released the reins of our people to Khronos who then changed his name to Chronus. I know there is not much difference but it is difficult to convey in writing my story, for we communicate through thoughts and ideas. Ever heard a picture is worth a thousand words. Imagine an entire language in one.
I just did not want to be a leader. I like learning and teaching other what I learned; I was a scientist, a teacher.
From Cronus to Zeus; but the leaders still came to us for advice, us being Khaos Gaia and me, the other primeval beings had their own endeavors… they mostly faded to the back as relics of the past. Sometimes the younger ones forget we are here. It’s understandable we don’t live in world that has matter in it. We have no forms or presence here we simply, are.

“Omega!” I was snapped out of my day dream.
“Don’t call me that Khaos I am Creation I will never become Omega.” A long time ago Chronus predicted that I would discover the end and thus called me Omega, it stuck but I was still me and I rue the day I become this…Omega.
“It was just to get you attention. I have a request Creation.”
“Why else do any of you talk to me for? What is it?”
“I’m making a son I’m not doing it Eros-”
“Magia.” I corrected.
“Whatever I’m not doing it her way he will be me in every way but a blank slate.”
“So? I teach all of the new ones.”
“Yes, but this time I want you to teach him your thoughts and ideas not just the laws of the universe.”
“Why?” this was getting interesting.
“I want him to be your assistant. With each generation our kind is getting more and more arrogant and self-important. Zeus made a new word today. God.”
This single word caused so much anger in me. In our world a single word could carry an infinite of many ideas and meaning. This word Zeus coined, its intention was deliberate: we are better so we deserve to rule over.
“Such backward thinking, but how is proper education of just one of us going to change that?” I asked.
“He will not be the only one. Magia has left us into the lower worlds where Tartaros decided to live after he became Tartarus. Ares-”
“Ares? Ha! He’s a brute who enjoys a game of wit.” I didn't like him.
“Yes but he is young and impressionable, and he respect the powerful, that’s you. He will be loyal to you. Gaia is your mate she will be behind anything you do, and she is the most trustful. Oh and take Prometheus with you. He is at odds with Zeus and generous to the lesser beings that Magia keeps making. He thinks they could become like us one day.”
“With me? Am I going somewhere?”
“Yes I want you to join Magia. Her little project could use you all. I believe Prometheus is right, we can’t be the only one of our kind to exist. What would be the point of it? I think Zeus wants to make a move into the multiverse and be recognized as so called gods.”
“What?! You’re not talking about teaching our kind the right way to exist you’re talking about war! You’re making a move before Zeus dose. I have lived my time, let Zeus do what he wants.” I might as well been growling like an angry dog at this point.
“What he wants to do is enslavement and segregation! Have you grown so cold in your long life? You’re the first, you’re Creation you made us and you can unmake us.”
“No! I do not destroy”
“But you let sentient life be destroyed?”
“Magia and Prometheus creations are sentient?” I was not aware of this.
“Yes, and Zeus plans will corrupt them. They will be nothing more than entertainment for these so called gods.”
He was right; everything he said was true and righteous. Magia taught me how important life was and here I was hesitant to go help preserve not only life but freedom of it as well. I must have grown cold.
“So the six of us against the rest of our kind?”
“Yes.”
“Bring me your son my old friend, what have you named him.”
“Chaos.”
“Prometheus you are charge with ‘divinity interference’. When you gave a tribe of great apes an understanding of fire and how to use it as a tool, you slowed down their indoctrination. What do you say in your defense?”
Zeus, that arrogant bastard, has but my good friend Prometheus on trial. My team and I have been at work for eons in the lower worlds. So many new ‘children’ were created. Faster than Zeus has been able to…enslave them, but we have been fighting a losing battle, he had to start dethroning these ‘gods’ from their seats.
Prometheus was a little careless. We have to take these things slow, but he had to help those dirty apes jump ahead a little too fast. This was his mess I should let him suffer his mistake, but there are so few of us that share our views.
Today we will let our intentions known, today we declare war.
“Creation?!” Zeus was surprised to see me; it was expected as I have not made my presence known in a very long time. “What an honor to have one of the primordial gods with us. I would love to speak with the one that gave us all an existence, but I have court at the moment.”
This was it. A few words and all of my people, except five of them, would become my adversaries.
“I am not a god.”
An eruption of rage encircled me as I spoke my last words among my people.
“All of you owe your existence to me so none of you, are gods. Stop this senseless enslavement of the sentient races!”
“A command from you? You no longer lead our kind Creation. I can overlook your… indiscretions as you are the father of us all, but if you denounce our divinity again, I’ll send you strait to Tartarus.”
“So I speak the truth and you decide to lock me up with the worst of our kind?”
“You undermine us!
“You undermine yourselves! When you proclaimed your selves as gods you stopped your own evolution and started looking back instead of forward. When a species halts its own evolution there is nothing more it can do but die off and make room for the next.”
“We are the ones that control evolution.”
“Your wrong Zeus, we can influence it but we live by its rules like every species.”
“Nothing rules us! We are gods! You dare speak to the king of gods?!”
“I speak not to a king but a child who plays with fire. We cannot control life; they will evolve with us or without us. They will also surpass us.
I would say Zeus was laughing, but laughter is a happy thing, this was menacing.
“How would these primitives surpass us?”
“They are trying to reach perfection; we think we already are perfect. They can die. We can’t. They can evolve. We no longer are.”
