Harry Potter: Into Darkness Part 3

Harry looked around and around for the amulet but couldn’t find it. Just then he heard faint whispering coming from a box. He walked up to it and opened it. Their inside was the diadem he’d been looking for.

“Well, well.” said a voice.

Harry turned to see Draco and his two friends with their wands pointed at him.

“What brings you here, Potter?” Draco asked.

“I was going to ask you the same.”  Harry said.

“You have something of mine. I’d like it back.” Draco said.

“What’s wrong with the one you’ve got now?” Harry asked.

“It’s my mothers.” Draco replied “It’s powerful but not the same. It somehow doesn’t understand me.”

“Why didn’t you tell Bellatrix?” Harry demanded “You could have called the dark lord and you didn’t. Why?”

“Just kill him, Draco.” the fat boy said.

The three walked to Harry when Hermione and Ron appeared. Hermione fired a spell but Draco dodged it. The fat boy fired a kill spell but Hermione ducked and fired a stun spell which caused the diadem to fly to the top of a pile.

Ron ran after Draco but then was hit by a stun spell. Astoria Greengrass then walked into view.

“Astoria?”  Hermione asked.

“Stay away from him.” Astoria said “All of you.”

Astoria then followed after Draco. Hermione then looked back to Harry who was climbing the pile. She joined him in the pile and the two began clearing stuff. A group of bats flew out briefly spooking the two. Harry then pulled the diadem from the bottom of a red chair.

“Got it.”  he said.

Hermione and Harry then climbed down to the floor and heard a faint hissing sound. By now Ron had recovered from the stun spell.

“Ron, go check that out.” Harry ordered.

Ron nodded and ran towards the source of the sound. But strangely after a few seconds he was heard screaming. A faint orange red glow started to appear and grow. Ron then came to them running for all his worth and screaming.

“They set the bloody place on fire!” he yelled grabbing Hermione.

Harry looked and suddenly a plume of fire in the shape of a snake came at him. Harry then ran for his life. In a few seconds he caught up to Ron and Hermione and fired several spells that blocked the path of the fire temporally. The fire then formed into the shape of a dragon.

Draco, Astoria and the dark skinned student backed up right next to a pile. The fat boy had started the fire but now he couldn’t control it.

“What have you done?!” Astoria demanded “You’ll kill us all!”

Draco then turned towards the pile behind him.

“Quick, follow me!”  he yelled.

The dark skinned boy and Astoria followed Draco while the fat boy threw his wand in the fire and followed. They managed to climb up just in time as the fire surrounded the floor around the pile.

Everywhere Harry, Ron and Hermione turned the fire seemed to follow them, turning into various animal shapes as it did. They now found themselves trapped in a corner. As the fire closed in on them Harry swiped his wand and a force field temporarily blocked the fire. Ron then noticed some brooms and threw one to Harry and one to Hermione.

Before the fire could reach them, they took to the air and headed for the exit.

The fat boy tried to climb the pile but slipped and fell into the fire screaming. Astoria had already reached the top as the fire was slowly climbing towards the pile’s top.

“Look!”  she said.

Harry, Ron and Hermione passed by them.

“No! Wait! Come back!” the dark skinned boy called out.

“Come on! This way!” Ron yelled.

Hermione turned to look behind her to see Draco, the boy and Astoria on the top of the pile. Though he didn’t love her, Draco was still her friend. She suddenly turned around.

“We can’t leave them!” she yelled to Ron and Harry.

“She’s joking right?” Ron asked as he and Harry turned around.

Harry caught Draco’s hand and Ron caught the dark haired boys. Hermione caught Astoria just as the pile burned. They then turned their attention to the exit. The fire began to grow higher and higher threatening to block their path but Hermione fired a spell giving them a clear path. They flew through the door (which was still open) and landed hard.

Wasting no time, Harry took the Basilisks tooth and stabbed the diadem. He was thrown back by an agonizing pain in his chest and the diadem flew into the room and disintegrated. Astoria then slammed the door shut and sighed and fell to her knees.

Voldemort felt an agonizing pain in his chest and clenched his chest. His breathing was very agonized. Nagini coiled nervously. When the pain faded away Voldemort then began to walk towards his army.

“Hey, buddy?” a Death Eater asked “You alright?”

Voldemort fired a kill spell at the man killing him instantly. Voldemort now felt very weak. So weak he thought he’d fall over. Nagini slithered beside her master.

“Come, Nagini”  Voldemort said “I need to keep you safe.”

He and Nagini then apparated away.

With his breathing now normal, Harry relaxed a bit.

“It’s the snake.” he said “It’s the last one. It’s the last Horcrux.”

“Look inside him, Harry.”  Ron ordered “Find out where he is. If we find him we can end this.”

Harry then shut his eyes and bit his lip.

An image of Voldemort in the boat house then appeared. Lucius Malfoy then walked up behind Voldemort.

“My lord” Lucius said “I think we should call of this attack. Just look for the boy yourself.”

“I do not need to seek the boy” Voldemort said turning to Lucius “Before the night is out he will come to me do you understand?!” he then slapped Lucius “Look at me! How can you live with yourself?”

“I do not know.”  Lucius said.

“Go find Severus.” Voldemort said “Bring him to me.”

Harry opened his eyes and looked to his friends.

“I know where he is.” Harry said.

The battle had now grown fierce. Wand battles were quickly descending into fist fights. Gunfire was occasionally heard. A few students including the brown-haired girl from the Quidditch Match a year before flew beside Oliver Wood who led them into battle.

On the ground, Harry, Ron and Hermione ran down the stairs. Harry and Ron stopped by the door and Harry managed to stop Hermione before a beam of magic hit her. Harry then fired a spell at the Death Eater and killed him. The trio then ran into the courtyard where all the Mane 6 where busy fighting back at attackers. Twilight and Rarity were using their magic, Fluttershy was with the Quidditch team, Pinkie Pie, Applejack and Rainbow Dash were busy using their fists. Harry, Ron and Hermione pushed through the crowd of fighters and briefly passed Sybil Trelawney who was having a really difficult time fending off Barty Crouch Jr.

The trio then headed through the walkways and Hermione saw mother who was reloading her gun when she noticed a Changeling coming up behind her.

“No!”  Hermione yelled.

Jennifer looked to her daughter and the Changeling looked at Hermione exposing itself. Hermione then fired a kill spell and her mother ducked and the spell hit the Changeling killing it instantly. Jennifer looked up and her daughter and the two nodded knowingly at each other and Harry, Ron and Hermione ran towards the direction of the boat house. However, when they arrived at the entrance to Hogwarts they saw more of Chrysalis’ changelings flying towards Hogwarts hissing as they did.

The three turned around to see Aberforth, Neville, Catalonia, Rosie, Colin, Lavender, Ginny, Madeline, Wilson and John walking towards them. Aberforth then fired a spell and a blue wave of magic flew out and hit the incoming changelings, disintegrating them all.

Harry, Ron and Hermione looked to Aberforth who nodded to them and they ran to the direction of the boat house. Aberforth and his men ran back into the fight.

By the time the three arrived Voldemort and Snape were already there. They hid behind a window and began listing in on the conversation.

“You have performed extraordinary magic with this wand in the last few hours alone.” Snape said.

“No. I am extraordinary but the wand resists me by weakening me.” Voldemort said.

“There is no wand more powerful. Ollivander has said so.” Snape said “When the boy comes it will not fail you, I’m sure of this. The wand answers to you and you alone.”

“Does it?” Voldemort asked.

He then began to walk around Snape.

“The wand…does it truly answer to me?” Voldemort continued “You’re a clever man, Severus. Surly you must know. To whom does it’s loyalty lie?”

“With you.”  Snape replied.

“The Elder Wand cannot serve me properly because I am not it’s true master.” Voldemort said.

The gears then turned in Voldemort’s head and he looked to Severus and his face turned to mid-anger and mid-smiling.

“You killed Dumbledore, Severus.” he said “While you live the Elder Wand cannot truly be mine. You’ve been a loyal servant Severus but now….you must die.”

Severus gulped nervously. “But, my lord-”

Voldemort slashed at Snape’s throat, cutting it. Snape gasped for air and fell and hit the window where Harry, Ron and Hermione were hiding.

“Nagini…kill!” Voldemort ordered.

Nagini lunged at Snape at least six times biting him in the throat. Harry, Ron and Hermione shuddered each time Snape was slammed against the window. Nagini then slithered away to her master and they apparated away. The trio then walked in and Harry put his hand on Snape’s throat to stop the bleeding. A tear ran down Snape’s cheek.

“Take them.” Snape gasped “Take them…please…”

“Hermione, do you have a vial?” Harry asked.

Hermione nodded and gave an empty vial to Harry. Harry then caught Snape’s tear.

“Take it….to the Dish of Memories…” Snape gasped.

Harry tried his best to fight back the tears. Snape then smiled at him.

“You have your mother’s eyes.” Snape said.

“Snape, m-my mother’s soul is inside the Elder Wand.” Harry said.

“W-what?” Snape asked.

Harry nodded.

“Tell her….tell her…” Snape started to say.

“NO!” cried a voice.

Bellatrix Lestrange had come to ask Voldemort if there was a change of plans but hid behind a wall when she heard footsteps. When she felt she was alone she rushed into the room only to find Snape and the trio.

Harry prepared to pull out his wand but Bellatrix fired a spell and Harry hit the window. Before Ron could pull his wand out, Bellatrix fired a stun spell and Ron hit the floor. Hermione tried to pull hers out but Bellatrix fired a whip out her wand and whacked Hermione with it.

“GET AWAY FROM HIM!” Bellatrix roared her eyes welling up in tears.

She knelt down and took Snape’s hand and then apparated herself and Snape out of the room.

Ginny and Fred ran towards the stairs. Ginny had a slight limp and she couldn’t walk straight. Fred helped her up the steps.

“After them!” Barty Crouch Jr. yelled.

Barty and a small group of Death Eaters came charging at the two.

“Ginny, go!” Fred said.

Fred pulled out his wand and fired spells killing three of them. A Death Eater tackled Fred but he snapped the Death Eaters neck. The others, however, immediately tackled Fred.

“Fred!” Ginny yelled with tears in her eyes.

Fred looked up at his sister who was slowly climbing up. When she looked back at him one last time a tear streamed down is face.

“Goodbye.” Fred said.

The Death Eaters were then on top of him and Ginny limped up the stairs as fast as she could.
