“Today seems off don’t you think?” she asked one of the guards; who nodded his head, “Well, I hope it isn't just me, but I feel like something big is about to happen here in Canterlot; and that it isn't very good either.
Then she felt the presence of an evil that she knew all too well. Discord was back.
But how?
She rushed to where he was usually kept, only to find his statue missing; and in its place was Discord in the flesh.
“So it was you that I felt! Why are you here, Discord?” she questioned as her horn glowed intensely In anger.
“Well, nice to see you too. It has been ages since I was here! And, well, I am here to finish our battle once and for all.
“So you're here for a final battle? So be it.” and then her horn stopped glowing as her cutie mark disappeared, and a small crystal fell to the ground next to her. She glanced surprisingly at her lack of cutie mark, “What have you done, Discord?
“Well you see it's the part of the game and the fight. You're not the only one without their cutie mark! Hahaha, I have marked your friends Twilight, the Cutie Mark Crusaders, and Vinyl Scratch as well for this game.
“Why are you getting them involved?!” Celestia glared at her mortal enemy.
“Well, you will see soon enough, dear Celestia.”

-Meanwhile in Ponyvile-
Twilight was getting ready to head to Rarity's; when she noticed her mark gone. She panicked heavily, galloping around the library in search of a book with explanation. She was about to head to Rarity's to consult her, but before she reached the door, Pinkie and her friends appeared out of nowhere, each wallowing in sorrow and confusion.
“So, I guess you all have no cutie mark now, too, huh?” Then spike looked like he was going to vomit, when a parcel from the princess appeared.
Spike unfolded the scroll and read it to the confused ponies:
Dear Twilight,
Something terrible has happened. Discord has escaped and took our marks away; and wants to finish our “final” battle with a “game”. So I want you and your friends to Canterlot Castle immediately (bring the Cutie Mark Crusaders, too!)
And by immediately, I mean IMMEDIATELY.

“Okay, let’s go y'all! The princess needs us! Rarity and I will round up the Crusaders!” They nodded, scattering around ponyvile in an effort to get ready for what was to come.
“I’m ready, Twilight!” Applejack said as she came into the Library, followed by the rest of the Elements of Harmony and the Crusaders, which amounted to nine in all.
“So to Canterlot we go right?” Pinkie Pie confirmed.
“Yeah; and Discord is free again. I am sure of it, and I believe this will be our ultimate test, and each of us needs each other in this. Let's start and finish this together!” Twilight proclaimed, and each of the Elements of Harmony laid a hoof on each other's, and yelled, “Together!” We are here they said rushing to the gates of the castle.
Aw there they are i was wondering when they was to arrive discord said ,smiling madly. So we meet again discord Twilight and the rest said in union! indeed so shall we begin he said as they was transported to another place which they knew not of where the ponies were. What the hay is this place discord rarity asked calmly with a sneer. this place is called the crystal grove which is where the fun will begin, i will not allow the elements of harmony to be used in this game or ponies will start dying left and right.
so for the rules of the fight to come is simple. you each will find your cutie marks all over again wich when you find it your crystal will disappear symbolizing that you have your mark. second each of you may pair up if you wish but one must look for there mark alone if they are to succeed in this fight. third things aren't all what they seem and even i don't know where all this is as well so i cant help you if i wanted to.
Do you understand all this and they nodded. well time to go then and then he separated all 10 of the ponies to different regions of the crystal verse. laughing like a mad dragon he disappeared into the day
Celestia's point of view
to all my ponies do not fret please be strong and find your cutie marks its the only way to defeat the evil discord has unleashed and i don't know if i am gonna be able to help you ponies in this so be careful this is a dangerous game discord is playing on our hearts and minds.
Twilights point
well looks like i am on my own on this one and looks like i cant do magic like i used to she thought to herself.she started to move forward trotting at a good pace to get baring of her the place she is at now which looked like a freakish forest.

to each there own they must seek out the trust each pony is given a mission to find their cutie marks and find the truth in Discords plan twilight AppleJack rarity fluttershy rainbow dash DJPON3 and the CMC each must keep friendships strong in order to survive. Each will face a common enemy and find new challenges and friendships tested to the max.
can they do it and is it possible yes they each believe so as they mark the way on the journey that can change the lives they live forever.

intro
twilight Sparkle. a wise unicorn who studies in magic is lost in a forest of time in search for her cutie mark she is Accompanied by Sweetie belle so they stick together in search of the marks and their friends as well to stop what evil has brought little do they no the trail in which they will face.
twilight why did this happen to us i feel like we was tricked into a game of cat and mouse. i agree little one but we must not be scared we need to find our friends. yea but we also need to find our cutie marks as well we must stop discord, i know and we will defeat him this time for good. Mhm sounds like a plan to me sweetie belle said smiling for once sense the start of all this.
Meanwhile a certain unicorn was watching from a far. Aw trixie i see you found your target Gamebug said in a deep voice. Yes this time i will finish what i started once and for all> they continue to watch as the manikin army that discord made approached twilights location from a far.
It had been a couple hours since the game/fight started and not an enemy was in sight.
"What is going on? I'm shocked we haven't run into some enemies at this point," Twilight said. “Sweetie Belle, can you sense anything at all?”
“Nope, nothing. Not even a sign of our friends at all and that worries me to a T.”
“I know and with all that is going on, it sucks.”
The next thing they know, they were surrounded by clones of some sort.
“Whoa, did not see this coming,” Sweetie Belle said in a shocked tone.
“Yep, and seems we know what the enemies are at this point." Changelings , she thought as she started to charge in and bucked one, but as it staggered back, it kicked her back in the same manner.
“Ouch, that bucking hurt,” Twilight muttered. “Okay, these are not changelings, so what the hay are they?”
“Seems like carbon copies of ourselves,” Sweetie Replied. “Manakins, I think that is the term they use for this, great. What we don’t need at this moment.”
“Well now, looks like the mouse has taken the bait,” Gamebug said in a sarcastic manner as he appeared out of thin air.
“So it was you who summoned them, wasn’t it?”
“Well, no it wasn’t,” Gamebug started. “It is Discord who made the army and they are growing at a fast rate that is unheard of before.”
“So why are you here?” Twilight asked. “are you on his side or ours?”
“Neither, my pony foe. I am neutral here, but that doesn’t mean I won’t step in for some fun. I am your to be your dance partner at the moment so come and dance Twilight sparkle, if you dare.”
“I accept your challenge,” Twilight said as she got in a fighting stance. She didn’t have too much time before Gamebug tried to kick her in the underbelly. She only managed to block one of his punches as she staggered back at this pace. Damn he is good, where did he learn to fight? she thought to herself as she charged up her horn and started firing rounds at Gamebug, which he dodged with ease.
“Is that the best you can muster, Twilight?” he taunted, bucking her in the head once more, sending her flying into the nearest tree. “Well, seems like one of us has the skills and the other is a chicken mare with no brains at fighting,” Gamebug laughed.
Next thing he knew, he was being sent backwards by a spell which wasn’t from Twilight but Sweetie Belle.
“Well, looks like I have a brain,” she snorted as she fired a second round which knocked him off his hooves onto his rump.
“Huh, it seems I am outmatched, so I will take my leave,” he said, disappearing into the darkness.
“Twilight, are you okay?” Sweetie Belle asked as she helped Twilight get her composure.
“I think so,” Twilight replied. “I took a hard hit from his magic and it stings a bit.”
They made their way to the tree and sat down to rest for a bit. As much as they wanted to move, Twilight was in no condition to go anywhere.
“We rest up here for a while ok?” Sweetie Belle confirmed.
She nodded and fell asleep instantly.
(Meanwhile not far from the duo)
“So, you failed to get rid of Twilight Sparkle, Gamebug? Seems like I have to do everything myself,” Trixie huffed.
“I am sorry, it wasn’t my intention to get backed into a corner by that filly Sweetie Belle,” Gamebug explained. “But I was outmatched at that point, so I had to retreat.”
“Hmm, very unfortunate but it can’t be helped.”
“Since I am to be Twilights opponent soon, I will get Sombra to separate them two,” Gamebug said in a harsh voice and Trixie nodded as she went back to what she was doing.
(Back to Twilight)
“My head hurts but not as bad,” Twilight said to herself as she nudged the filly for her to wake up.
“Mmm, 10 more minutes,” Sweetie Belle mumbled and Twilight levitated her with onto her back. “Where am I, Twilight?” Sweetie Belle asked sleepily.
“We are in a clearing in the forest, and I believe we are being watched from afar so let’s keep going.”
“How do we get our cutie marks, Twilight? That is what bugs me more right now.”
“I don’t know, but I am sure we will find out sooner than we realize.”
They made it to what looked like a palace of some sort. After a while of walking, they noticed it wasn’t just a palace but a version of the crystal palace from before.
“This can’t be good,” Twilight said to Sweetie, who could only nod as they made it inside the palace walls only to find themselves separated without blinking. Sweetie Belle, where are you?!” Twilight yelled.
“I don’t know,” she said from the other side of a wall.
“Well see if you can find your way back to me soon, ‘kay?” Twilight instructed. “So if I’m not mistaken, Sombra must be here and separated me and Sweetie belle.”
“You are correct,” Gamebug confirmed, appearing yet again. “Only this time, we get to finish our battle as the filly meets her doom at Sombra’s hand.”
Gamebug vs. Twilight Sparkle.
Twilight began charging a spell to cast only to get bucked twice at an insane speed as Gamebug got the upper hand at the start of the battle. Okay, this pony is strong so I gotta be smart she thought to herself as she barely managed to dodge another attack. She then slammed her hoof into his face to try and get some distance but couldn’t get that lucky, so they continued to beat each other up as Twilight hit him full force with a fire spell.
“Well, seems like you got guts,” Gamebug said to twilight as he charged again only to run into the pole which appeared out of nowhere.
Gamebug then charged a big lightning attack which wasn’t a good idea, considering the place is made of crystal, and he took aim hoping to hit Twilight but to no avail.
“Stop playing cat and mouse Twilight, it is getting old really quick,” Gamebug chided, then got hit by the magic that twilight casted earlier, sending him into a ground breaking halt. “Seems I have underestimated you Twilight, and that is a mistake I will not make again,” he said as he charged Twilight only to get bucked at lightning speed by her hooves.
“I win,” she said as he nodded in defeat.
Sombra (Manakin) vs. Sweetie Belle.
Sweetie Belle continued to run away from the Manakin who seemed to want to rip her head from her body.
“I can’t get any bucking distance from this guy, it’s annoying,” she muttered as she shot a round of flare bullets at the clone only to get smacked full force with a crystal shard. “Well, now he isn’t playing fair,” she whined but charged up a second round, finally hitting her mark and watched the clone disappear into thin air. Seems I got rid of him pretty fast she thought as she continued to look for Twilight.

Twilight and Sweetie Belle separated from each other continuing their search to find the others only to find themselves lost in the fray as they go their separate ways without them knowing where the other is as an evil plot is being formed as they both walk the path to get their cutie marks. Will they succeed, and will they find out what Discord’s plan is?

I fear this is only the beginning she thought as she walked the famous halls of the castle she called home. They have been sent on a journey that will end up badly at this rate, all I can do is hope for the future and to win the war that is taken place here.

chapter 3 the time is now
Twilight (pov).
What seemed like hours was only a few minutes as she continued her way into a main clearing of what looked like a lightning field.
“Well, I don't know much about this place, but it is safe to say that I am walking into a death trap. The manakins are getting stronger,” she said out loud as she slammed her hooves into one as it disappeared. “Well, I hate this and being separated from Sweetie Belle is killing me here.”
“What have we here?” said the all too familiar voice of Lightning Dust. “Another opponent for me to beat down, it seems.” He watched Twilight come into view. “Oh, this is too perfect.”
“Lightning dust, why are you here and why do you look so different?” Twilight asked, looking at her armor.
“Hmm, seems like the mare is clueless. Let me make it simple; I was given power by someone who said I would get a chance at Rainbow Dash for making me look like a fool at the Wonderbolt Academy.”
“So it's revenge you want, huh? Well not on my watch! Lightning Dust, prepare yourself!”
Twilight Sparkle
vs Lightning dust.
Lightning Dust started to fly around the lightning field as twilight gave chase, shooting off rounds of fire and water, trying to hit her rival.
“Twilight, seems your aim sucks and believe me, I know, 'cause your attacks aren't hitting their marks at all,” Lightning laughed.
“She is going to be hard to hit, 'cause she can fly,” Twilight told herself as she leaped at Lightning and planted a hoof across her skull, sending her opponent downward.
“So Twilight has some fight in her it seems. Well I am going to end this quick!” Lightning exclaimed as she shot a lightning blast at the now falling Twilight. Before it made contact Applejack bucked the lightning back at the now shocked Lightning Dust as Applejack let out a good ol' “yeehaw!”
“Well buck, this didn't end well now, did it Lightning Dust?” Gamebug stated, appearing next to the fallen mare.
“Buck off Gamebug, this is my fight not yours.”
“Quite the contrary, my dear. This isn't your fight, nor is it mine so we best be going or the boss is going to skin us like yesterdays chicken and believe me, she is one mare I don't want to cross.”
Lightning only nodded as she and Gamebug left the battlefield.
“Thanks Applejack,” Twilight said gratefully. “I don't know how much longer I would have lasted.”
“Aww shucks Twi, I had to help a friend in need and besides, your opponent is going to be a pain to beat, I reckon.”
“True and how did you find me?” twilight asked, sighing.
“Oh, I was following the wind and it lead me here. I got separated from Scootaloo as I entered a volcano area of sorts and been fighting those buckin' manakins.
Making their way to shelter, Twilight was skittish. A lot had happened the last few days, so she explained what had happened and she was separated from Sweetie Belle the same way that AJ got separated from Scootaloo.
“Hmm, seems we gotta do the cutie mark thing alone or something like that, or is it me that Gamebug appears to confuse us even further?” AJ said grumpily but kept her calm.
“I agree, obtaining our cutie marks we got to do alone, but we need support from friends, otherwise we are doomed.”
“I know Twi, but we don't know how to get 'em and I'm still confused over the crystals we have. I don't know how much more I can take.”
“For now, lets sleep and talk in the morning,” twilight said as she laid her head down, falling asleep nearly instantly. Both mares slept the entire night away.
Meanwhile across the plane.
“Stupid fool, you let Twilight escape again! Must I do everything myself?” Trixie huffed.
“You said you wanted to beat her to a bloody pulp, so I decided to step in before things got any worse, before lightning killed her,” Gamebug retorted.
“Well, you did well and seems like the lightning fields will be the battleground for me and Twilight's battle to come. Make sure you get Applejack away from her long enough for me to finish what I started.”
“Yes miss Trixie,” Gamebug said to her as he put applejack in a cage, saying “Trixie, it is your time to shine so have at it.”
Meanwhile back in the shelter.
Morning broke as Twilight, who seemed to not want to wake up, noticed her counterpart was missing.
“AJ, where are you?” she called out. “Seriously, where are you?”
She stopped for a few minutes and nothing, so she decided to storm the plains in search of her friend. “Princess, what do I do?” Twilight said aloud.
A bright flash and the princess appeared.
“My dearest Twilight Sparkle, do not fret; you will be okay.”
“But princess, I am alone and lost, how do I find what is lost?” Twilight asked, sobbing.
“Follow your heart and find the strength inside you, for there you will find your answer,” Celestia said to her student.
“So follow my heart, and it will lead the way. I got it and I know what to do,” she said as she ran to a mountain.
“So you finally make it here,” Trixie said, “I was starting to wonder if it was to much.” Trixie's evil laugh was visible.
“Trixie! You were behind this from the beginning, weren't you?”
“Indeed I was Twilight, and you fell for my traps more times than i could count! But that matters not now, 'cause I plan on making you pay for kicking me out of Ponyville!” Trixie roared.
So it's a fight you want? Well you shall get it Trixie, now bring it on!”
