Chapter 6: Home Not So Sweet Home

Crescent fluttered his eyes opened to find that he was in his bed, he could have sworn he was washing the dishes a second ago. He rose up from his sheets and heard some mumbling noises. He looked over to his left to find Luna wrapped around his arm, he slightly blushed but giggled at the sleeping beauty. He gave a quick peck on Luna's cheek as he got off his bed and covered Luna with his blanket. He took a fresh set of clothes as he entered the shower. He turned the valve as he felt the blazing rain shower him, he endured the burning pain but also gave a sigh of relief.

Meanwhile, Luna soon slowly creaked open her eyes as she rose up her head. She could hear the sprinkles of a hot shower being active. She yawned as she soon trotted into the tribute room, she then noticed another white box, but it wasn't the Xbox 360. "What is this?" She closely examined the mysterious white box, it was slanted and looked like a parallelogram. She pressed the button on the top which labeled 'power' as it blinked green as a bright blue light surround the front of the box. Luna moved back in defense but found that the white box wasn't a weapon. "Is this another video game?" She turned on the T.V. as she could still see a plain black screen. Luna 'hmm'ed in confusion as she looked at the text labeled at the bottom of the box. "Wii" She read as a white rectangular block was next to it, it was also labeled 'wii'.

"Could this be the controller? Quite odd for a human's hand." She said as she pressed the power button the activated the controller. But the monitor was still black as paint as she looked at the buttons on the bottom of the television, she scratched her chin as she wanted to press a button, but couldn't chose which in fear that she might break something. "What is this input?" She questioned as she pressed the button which caused the screen to turn white. She could see a very decorative screen, filled with boxes of unknown modern human knowledge, unknown towards Luna knowledge.

Luna held the controller like stick sideways as she tried to move the control pad, but nothing happened as she raised an eyebrow in confusion. "How does this 'thing' work?" She tried to move and control it in several different ways as she pointed the black end at the television. There seemed to be a hand with a number 1 labeled on it. Luna moved her control which move at the same motion on the screen. "What is this?" She moved around the hand as she smiled at the technological amusement. "This is amazing, how humans could achieve this is beyond my mother's knowledge." She moved around the hand as she hovered it over the box on the top left, she figured that the A button would be the primary button for the gaming device. She clicked the box as the screen zoomed into the box which enlarged with as she pressed play, making the screen turn black. "Oh no, did I turn it off?" But suddenly, the screen smoothed into a scene, it showed a boy in green sitting on what looked to be a horse, almost like an earth pony. She didn't know what to press as she stop to figure to see that the screen and boy began to move.

She could see the boy riding the horse on the bridge. She could see the two travel all across a land that was bathed and glazed with a honey like sunlight. She thought that the land looked beautiful as the pair has traveled at the edge of a cliff. "Does he not know that that cliff is dangerous?" Luna said in a worried tone for the boy as the camera focused the pair, but found them travel off screen as the camera moved along the sun dew land. She could then see a wolf, as it howled towards a beaming, gold wall of light, howling as if it hates it. "Where did the wolf come from?" Luna asked herself as she read the title and it's instructions. "The Legend of Zelda, Twilight Princess? A strange title." Luna held the remote as it instructed her to press A and B at the same time, which she did as instructed.

Crescent had finished his shower as continued with his morning routine, he brushed his teeth and wore fresh new clothes. He then went to his closet as he reached out a gym bag, and a travel bag. He started to pack his essentials, like a toothbrush, shampoo, soap, towels, and most importantly, clothing. He packed T-shirts, jeans, cargos, jackets, sweaters, button ups, socks and especially multiple pairs of boxers. Hmmmm... now that I think about it, Luna loves my video games.

Yea she does, but it's not like Equestria has a television or any fancy computers or something.

Yea, she probably gonna miss them, what're you gonna do?

I guess I can like dress up for her, y'know cosplay? Or something....

Euhhh.... that's weird.

So? We're all weird in a way, that's what makes us normal.

Ain't that the truth. After Crescent had 'bro fist" with his inner self, he had packed a week's worth of clothing to re-use and recycle if necessary. He wanted to pack a few things from his 'Tribute Room', he still wanted the spirit and possibly the appearance of the assassins, after all, it was his favorite video game of all time. It has beaten his second spot of 'Legend of Zelda', which was fun but.......Assassin's creed is just better. Infact he can hear the good times that 'The Legend of Zelda' has given him..........

.........Hang on, he can hear them. Crescent had raised an eyebrow in confusion as he walked inside his 'Tribute Room' that he discovered that Luna was playing his 'Nintendo Wii'. Crescent's mind was racing with contestants of confusion, that he didn't know what to say now, other than "uhh...."

Luna turned around to her surprise as Crescent was speechless. "Oh Crescent, I was...uh........" Luna couldn't scavenge what to say. She had just played a new machine of Crescent's without asking, she felt like a burglar. "I uh...... I apologize Crescent, I just wanted to try something new."

Crescent raised his hand in acceptance. "No worry's Luna." He said as he sat down next to her. From Crescent's view, she was on the setting of when the hero known as Link is currently training with a wooden sword. "So, you started huh?"

"Yes, I was very intrigued at this device. It's almost as if it's magic for humans." Luna said in astonishment as she raised her remote and nunchuck and followed the instructions of combat. "So are these humans as well?" Luna asked at the characters who were talking to her.

"Yea, though some are and some aren't. Like it was thought of as a myth, but some humans knew magic, they were known as elves. From what I can remember, they would have long pointed ears." He said as Luna swung her remote as her character lashed his sword at the practice dummy. "Amazing!" Luna admired as Crescent giggled at her childish reaction.

"Hey Luna, I'm going out to buy some essentials. Is it okay if you can stay here by yourself?"

"Yes, I will be fine."

"Cool, and don't use magic please." He said as Luna giggled. Crescent applied on some clothes as he entered his garage, he picked up a green diesel with straps similar to a backpack. He applied the gas can backpack as he opened his garage, left, and closed the garage. He started to walk with his hands in his pocket past his deserted neighborhood, houses were cracked, chipped, broken, and gone. He would only see a few people, barely he could recognize. He walked for what felt like fifteen minutes as he approached a gas station. He saw only 2 pumps and a car outside which was being pumped. But the owner of the car wasn't to be seen.

"Where the car's owner? The car would've been stolen by now." Crescent placed down his diesel can next to a free pump as he entered the shop. He walked up the the clerk as he pulled out five dollars. "Just about 2 gallons." He said as he passed the money towards the clerk, who cashed in the money a flashed the price on his register.

"91.10$" Crescent's eyebrow cocked at the insanely large price.

"What f- 91.10? That's high way robbery." He said as he frowned at the clerk who's face started to sweat.

"91.10$" The clerk repeated as he placed a two fingers over the period and the 0 on the price. Crescent squinted his eyes as he closely looked at the price.

911

911!? He looked at the clerk in shock as he eyes seen to point below him. He fingers only stuck out a thumb and index indicating a gun. Crescent nodded at the clerk as he walked around the store. "Actually, lemme buy some booze while I'm at it." He said as he walked towards the bathroom. He lied back against the wall as he panted heavily with choice. Crap, a burglary!

What are we gonna do!?

Okay okay hang on. We gotta stop this. Crescent said as he looked around the bathroom to aid his survival. He found a small red crowbar with a steel colored hook in a tool box, no less than at least 7 inches long. He picked up the crowbar as he noticed from shattered mirror glass, he picked up a small but skinny piece as he wrapped the bottom part with toilet paper, making a makeshift shiv. He wielded both makeshift weapons and held them tight as he brought along with his, a bottle of whiskey. As he reached the clerk, he placed the whiskey on the table as pulled out a few hundred dollar bills. He quietly brushed his finger against the clerk's table, it was made out of wood and fiber, weak enough to punch through.

Crescent raised his foot and waited for the frightening moment. He slammed his foot against the boundary of him and the robber as her heard a "Uaghfff!" Come from him. The clerk burst for the door as he ran for his life leaving Crescent to deal with the robber. The robber got up as he pointed his gun at Crescent who couldn't feel nothing but shock. He started to sweat with beads full of fear. "Alright man, you better give me those hundred dollar bills!" He demanded violently as Crescent pointed at the counter with the bills, still placed there. The robber turned away from Crescent as he saw his chance.

Crescent took the crowbar as he swung it over the firearm as pulled it away from the robbers hand, letting it slide far across the store. The robber then pulled out a knife as he swung it towards Crescent with his right arm, he counteracted as he caught the knife with the hook of his crowbar as he brought his shiv toward the bicep of his arm. The shiv easily pierced through the skin and muscle as the blood soon poured and spat out with pain. The robber screamed and grunted with pain as Crescent brought up the crowbar and hacked the edge of the hook onto his neck, causing him to spurt out blood from his mouth and fall to floor, only to have blood slowly dripping out of his mouth.

Crescent had just realized what he had just done, he had just killed someone. Crescent felt sick, he just committed something he thought he would never do. His hand shook with fear, he dropped his weapons as his breathing took to heavy steps and bumpy breaths. He slowly with floods of liquid fear walked towards his gas can and filled up the can to the top, hoping not to get caught with stealing. Oh God... now I'm....stealing.

Calm down, it was just self defense.

Yea, but self defense doesn't kill someone!!!

But he could've killed you!

But I never wanted to kill someone!

Look, it was either you or him! I mean would you want to give Luna a gallon of grief!?!? Crescent heard that, he heard that with his heart as Luna flooded his mind. He gave a gulp as he strapped the gas can to his back and with all of his strength, sprinted back towards his house. Hopefully, no cops saw him.

Luna was continuously playing Crescent's game known as Twilight Princess, her motions kept flailing her wii remote and pushing the nunchuck, as she had gotten far in only fifteen minutes. Heck, she was at the part where Link had been imprisoned inside the 'Twilight Realm' and had first met the twilight being by the name of Midna. At this moment, she had just begun to escape from the castle's dungeon, or at least the sewers. She continued to play with a smile of amazement as she heard Crescent's garage door begun to open. She paused the game as she trotted to meet Crescent with glee, only to find him within a flood of sweat. "Crescent? What's wr-" Luna was interrupted as Crescent swiftly gave a tight embrace onto Luna. She was slightly confused but turned to shock as she could feel tears, drop onto her coat. "Crescent." Was all she could muster to say as she embraced the human and gently patted his back for comfort.

His crying continued for minutes, Luna continued to conform for her crying human, but she didn't know why he was crying. "Crescent, what has happened?" She asked with a sad look as Crescent scavenged and hiccuped at his words.

"I.....I....I will tell you later Luna. Just....please, I must take a small nap." Crescent said as Luna gave a nod in respect to Crescent's choice. She trotted back into the 'tribute room' as she continued to play Crescent's Wii. As for Crescent, he walked into his room as he slumped onto his bed and screamed with violence and bloodburst through his pillow, strong enough to make his throat sore. Luna perked up her ears as she silently flew to Crescent's door, she leaned in her ear as she could hear sobs of misery. Luna turned the knob and slowly creaked open the door, she peaked in only to see Crescent was lying face flat on his pillow, fighting something.
