The Prince Returns

"I got news he has arrived and we are ready to take him in a week." Celesta said to Luna.

"What are we going to do when he gets here?" Luna asks.

"We get him back on the throne, simple as that." Celestia replies.

"What if he doesn't want to?"

"Nonsense. He left because I banished you to the moon when you turned into Nightmare Moon, remember?"

"So? What if he never wants to?"

"Stop being so negative Luna. He will come back, and we will be waiting."

Chapter 2

"Shadow huh? You don't happen to be the prince of time by chance?" Twilight asks.

"Yeah, But I am never going back." Shadow replies.

"Why?" She questions.

"I want to live my life on my own, not with some fancy pantsy servant walking around to get me whatever I want" He answers.

"Okay, thanks for the talk. If you need any place to stay. Your welcome at mine." She walked back to the rest of the ponies.

The ponies were talking about him but he couldn't overhear. He flapped his wings and flew quietly out the barn door. Once the ponies turned around they noticed he was gone. "Hey! Where'd he go?!" Applejack announced.

When she said that he was well away from anypony else. He continued flying until he reached a tree to lay under. He knew the ponies would look for him so he decided to take a nap till they got to him. He could hear their voices bouncing around in his head. Maybe it wasn't his head, maybe he was near them.

When he woke up from his nap the other ponies were surrounding him and all staring at him. He jumped and crawled back. "What are you all staring at me like that?! You almost gave me a heart attack!" He said as the ponies backed away to give him some space.

"Well, we never really finished our talk. You see, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, and Fluttershy still had some questions for you. If that's okay with you." Twilight replied to the shaking pony.

"It's fine, Maybe I'll go with you to your house after this Twilight." Shadow replied.

"Pinkie you go first." Twilight added as she pointed the pony who was jumping up and down.

"Do you like parties!? I love parties! Do you like cupcakes?! I love cupcakes! Do you like-" Pinkie stopped as Applejack covered her mouth.

"Let the colt speak, go ahead sugercube." Applejack said.

"Yes and yes." he answered.

"Rarity?" Twilight asked.

"Do you like to get dirty?" Rarity asked.

"Yes, it's actually quite fun cause then i have to clean up again." Shadow answered.

"What do you think of fashion in Canterlot?" She asked.

"To fancy, can't stand it." He added.

"Fluttershy?" Twilight turned to Fluttershy.

"What kind of animal did you have as a pet?" She wondered.

"A Blue flamed phoenix." He said.

"How rare is it to find one of those?" She continued.

"1 out of 1,000,000." He replied.

Twilight came up to Shadow. "Lets go." she said.

The two ponies went to Twilight's home. Where Spike was in the window with a piece of a gem cake. As they entered the house Spike spun around and looked at the two ponies. "Spike, this is our guest, Shadow. He will be staying here for a week with us. So be on your best behavior." Twilight instructed.

The purple dragon hopped down and met them at the foot of the stairs. "Anything I can get you, You can call my name." Spike told Shadow.

"That won't be necessary Spike." He said to the confused dragon.

"Spike, he doesn't like having a servant around. So you don't have to help him." Twilight added.

Spike nodded and went back up to the window and started eating his cake. "Shadow, could you help me find a book that can explain more about you?" She asked.

Shadow nodded and searched the room. The two looked around and continued searching. "Found it!" Shadow exclaimed a he turned to Twilight with the book in his hoof. When Twilight turned around she looked at the book then at him and using her magic she took the book. She flipped through the pages and Shadow looked over her shoulder as she got to the page with Shadow on it.

She began to read about him as Shadow read along behind her. Twilight turned around to see him behind her. She continued to read as Shadow flew over to a spot on the floor and he laid down. When Twilight finished he was still laying there with his eyes staring at the ceiling. "Shadow? Shadow?" Twilight went as she walked to where he was laying but diddn't notice him.

She tripped on him and was on top of him. When she realized she was on top of him and he was staring at her she blushed crimson red. She got up and backed away. "Oh! So sorry, I didn't see you there." Twilight said as she looked away hiding her blush.

"No, it's alright. You didn't I was down here." He apologized.

There was a knock on the door and it was Ranbow Dash. "Hey Twilight, Why are you blushing?" She asked.

"No reason, I just did something embarrassing and Shadow saw it." She lied.

"Well, anyway...I wanted to see if you were going to watch the comets with us tonight." Rainbow asked.

"Of course, I'll try and get Shadow along too." Twilight replied and went inside to get everything together.
