Follow the adventures of pirate wanna-be Spike the Dragon as he does (against his better judgement) battle the forces of evil incarnated in the evil ghost LeSombra. Be amazed as he fights, tricks and seduces his way through the Caribbean in search of glory, treasure and love!

That said, I don't think I'm really good at conveying what Monkey Island is about for those who have never played it, really. I'll try to be brief.

Monkey Island, the game, takes place in the Caribbean and you, the player, control Guybrush Threepwood. He starts out as a kid who wants to become a pirate and later, after many trials and tribulations, he does become a (self-titled) "mighty pirate" (who no one has heard about). The series is not exactly known for it's ultra-realism, instead preferring to make a setting that is largely a mix of true-to-history piratical (is that even a word?) facts, light humour and pop-culture references. I must admit that it does a great job at it.

Now, I'd like to begin by stating that I didn't just take the script page by page and rewrote the character names, while I've kept to the main plot and actors of this story, I've also found it necessary to invent or change both scenes and dialogues to suit my needs (and sense of humour), I've attempted to give it a touch of flavour and to adapt it to the wonderful world of Equestria, all while keeping to the core of stuff that makes Monkey Island a gem of the graphic adventure and comedic genre.

Only time (and you, my dear readers) will tell if I was successful or not.

Now, I'll spare you the "this is my first story so please be nice" line and argument. This is my first story, at least the first story I've ever typed out and 'published' but I know that I'm not perfect, my writing skills are not going to get better unless I a) exercise them regularly and b) people correct me when I make a mistake.

So please, go ahead and correct me, make suggestions, give me ideas. I promise I will treat everyone with due respect and consideration.
