CMC Adventures: The Dance

                               As the morning began,  Applebloom awoke and began heading down stairs

as her family had already started breakfast. When Applejack saw Applebloom coming down the stairs she happily spoke to the little filly, "Well look who's finally awake, I take it you slept well Applebloom?"

The little filly took a moment in order to wake up before responding, "Yea I did..." Applebloom moved over to where her family was sitting, as she sat down Applejack gave her a plate that was full of pancakes, "Thanks Applejack, hey I was going to ask you if you had any idea where Rumble's older brother lives?

AppleJack looked a little confused at her sisters question "Well I can tell you his address if you want, but why do you need to know it, did you have a question for him?" as Applejack turned off the stove she looked at her little sister.

"Oh um, well you see, I kind of wanted to ask him about his little brother..." Applebloom was trying to hide her face from her big sister and the rest of her family as she finished her sentence. Applejack began to catch on to what her sister was talking about but before she could respond Applebloom spoke up "can you just let me know the address this is kind of important."

Applejack was a little hesitant to respond "Well... sure lets just finish breakfast first alright?" Applejack gave her sister a small smile.

Applebloom returned the smile as her family resumed eating, Applejack gave her big brother a knowing smile as they continued eating their pancakes.

                         Sweetie Belle woke up in the morning at Carousel Boutique, she slowly got

out of bed and made her way down the stair's to the kitchen, much to her dismay Rarity already finished cooking breakfast and was setting up the table when she saw Sweetie Belle, "Oh good morning Sweetie, I hope you don't mind that I cooked breakfast without you but, you just looked so peaceful while you were sleeping that I just didn't want to wake you up," Rarity motioned for Sweetie Belle to join her at the table.

As she walked to the table, a thought came to her mind "yea just like the past couple of days,". Despite the thought that occurred she was happy about the day "It's okay Rarity, breakfast looks really delicious this morning,"

"Well you seem happy this morning Sweetie is something going on? Do you and your friends have any big plans to get your cutie marks today?" Rarity was quite curious as to her little sisters positive mood.

"Well it's not really about our cutie marks today, you see I'm going to try and spend the day playing with Pipsqueak today," Sweetie Belle was trying not to reveal to much to her sister, she continued eating after she finished speaking.

Rarity's curiosity was peaked as her sister concluded her sentence "Oh... really? why is that, I didn't even know you were friends with that young colt," Rarity was holding back her happiness as she asked her sister to elaborate.

"Oh well, we're not great friends but, I'm really hoping to change that soon, do you have any idea where I could find Pipsqueak? I really only see him at school," Sweetie Belle looked at her sister with curiosity hoping she could answer her question.

Rarity took a moment to think, "Well I think I see him running around the market place with Rumble on occasions, so I would start by looking at Rumble's house, I'll give you the address, though if I may, is there a reason you want to spend the day Pipsqueak?"

Sweetie Belle attempted to sound calm, "Well I just want to... make a new friend you know," Sweetie Belle smiled nervously.

Rarity smiled at her sisters response, "Really and wanting to be his friend wouldn't have anything to do with the Autumn Flower Dance coming up in a few weeks, would it?" Rarity was giving Sweetie Belle a knowing look.

"Oh would you look at the time, the crusaders really wanted to meet up before I look for Pipsqueak, so if you'd be so king as to give me that address, I'll be on my way," Sweetie Belle spoke nervously as she tried to end the conversation.

"Alright here's the address," she gave the address to Sweetie Belle who promptly left for the door as she received it, "I hope you have a good day today Sweetie," Rarity lightly yelled as Sweetie Belle made it to the door.

"Okay you too," Sweetie Belle left as Rarity was giggling at her sisters slight embarrassment.

                         The stress of asking dinky to the dance had woken her up early she was riding her

scooter around until the crusaders needed to meet up. A voice called to Scootaloo as she was riding around, "Hey kid what are you doing just riding around like that?"

Scootaloo looked up to see a rainbow maned Pegasus talking to her, "Oh hey, Rainbow Dash I'm just getting in some practice before the crusaders need to meet up," Scootaloo gave Rainbow Dash a wide smile.

Rainbow Dash raised an eyebrow, "Really? because it looks like you're trying to distract yourself from something, what's wrong?" Rainbow Dash flew down to stand next to Scootaloo.

Scootaloo looked up at Rainbow Dash "Wrong? nothings wrong, what in Equestria would make you think something is wrong," Scootaloo gave Rainbow Dash an obviously fake smile.

"Okay, now I know somethings up, and you're not going to your meeting until you tell me whats going on," Rainbow Dash gave Scootaloo a stern look wanting an answer to her inquiries.

Scootaloo continued to look at Rainbow Dash slightly nervous "I... fine, you see the Autumn Flower Dance is coming up in a couple of weeks and I really want to ask Dinky to the dance but, I'm really nervous about it, I mean I have a plan to ask her but I'm really nervous about it." Scootaloo couldn't stop looking at the ground as she concluded her explanation.

Rainbow Dash could see the filly wasn't really good at any of this "The way you're talking about this, it sounds like you're hoping for more than just a date to the dance, Scoots do you like this filly?" Rainbow Dash typically wasn't one to display compassion, she made an exception for Scootaloo.

"Well... yea I really like her, and I guess I just don't want her to think I'm lame..." Scootaloo's expression softened as she opened up to her mentor.

"Listen Scoots, I'm not that great at this sort of thing but, why don't you just ask her, I mean if you feel this way about her and if she feels the same you shouldn't worry right?" Rainbow Dash used her wing to bring Scootaloo closer to her.

"Yea, I guess that right, it's just kind of hard to do this thanks Rainbow Dash, oh one more thing, do you know where I could find any kind of book?" Scootaloo was looking back up at Rainbow Dash her happy expression returning.

"Well if you're low on bits Twilight might be willing to give one to you if you had a good reason," Rainbow Dash gave her admirer a smile.

"Thanks Rainbow Dash, I should get going, the crusaders are meeting up soon so I'll see you later," Scootaloo grabbed her scooter and prepared to head off, "Oh and thanks for the talk Rainbow Dash ... I really appreciate it,"Scootaloo gave Rainbow Dash a small smile.

"No problem kid, just don't mention this to anypony else okay I have to keep up my coolness, alright?" Rainbow Dash spoke somewhat playfully and somewhat serious.

"Don't worry Rainbow Dash I won't and thanks again," Scootaloo spoke happily as the buzzing of her wings began to move her foward on her scooter.

As she left Rainbow Dash sighed, "Why is love always so complicated?" she laughed off her question as she flew away.

                    The three fillies arrived at their clubhouse they all seemed to be relieved that the short

meeting had begun, they greeted one another when they arrived and began a recap of their plan for the day.

"So we all know what we're going to do right, we all have our plans right?" the yellow filly wanted to make sure everything was clear, "Scootaloo are you clear on what you're doing, I'm headed to Rumble's house first."

"Yea I'm clear all I got to do is head to Derpy's house, luckily I know where it is," Scootaloo became confidant on what she was doing.

"Perfect what about you Sweetie Belle, have you figured out where to start your plan?" Applebloom turned her attention to her unicorn friend.

"Actually, I'll be heading out with you to Rumble's house, Rarity said it would be the best place to start looking for Pipsqueak," The white filly was happy that she was clear on where she was going to start.

"Perfect! Then we're all set and we all agreed to meet up tomorrow morning to see how our plans went,  right?" the red maned filly asked her two best friends.

Both Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo answered simultaneously "Yes".

"And we all agreed that if they say yes we invite them to the movies tomorrow night,  right?" Applebloom felt like she was going through a checklist.

Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo replied simultaneously again "Yes!"

"Perfect, then we better get started, we don't have all day now do we?" as Applebloom finished they each said there quick goodbyes. Scootaloo began walking to Derpy and Dinky's house, while Applebloom and Sweetie Belle both headed out to the address that their sisters had given them.
