Perigee

Twilight awoke in her hotel room.

"Morning?"

She got out of the bed and stepped out of the room

"Comet must be up by now." Thought Twilight.

Twilight walked down the stairs and saw Comet Tail sitting on the couch, a half eaten doughnut floating next to him. He noticed her walking down the stairs.

"Morning Twi."

"Morning."

Comet Tail took a bite of his doughnut.

"Spikes in the bathroom, he should be done shortly."

Twilight sat down next to Comet on the couch.

"What time is it?" Asked Twilight.

Comet Tail looked up at the clock.

"Nine thirty." Replied Comet Tail. "We got an hour and thirty minutes before brunch."

Twilight yawned.

"We should drop Spike off at my parent's place before we go there." Said Twilight.

"Good idea." Said Comet Tail.

A door nearby opened and spike stepped out with a towel wrapped around him.

"Morning Twilight." Said Spike.

"Good morning."

Twilight got off the couch and walked into the bathroom.

A taxi pulled up to a cafe. Twilight and Comet Tail stepped out of it.

"I'll pay this time." Said Twilight.

Twilight took out a few bits and paid the taxi colt.

"Thanks." Said Twilight.

The taxi sped away as the couple looked at the cafe.

"Lets find them." Said Comet Tail.

They stepped into the cafe. The inside had white tile floor, blue walls, and several tables that had ponies seated at them.

"You ever eat here before?" Asked Comet Tail.

"Once with my brother." Said Twilight. "But that was before I got my cutie mark."

"Twilight, Comet. Over here!" Called a voice.

They looked towards the source of the voice. It was Grey Sky. Him and Mystic Shine were sitting at a table waving at them.

"There they are." Said Twilight.

The two unicorns took seats at the table with them.

"Glad you two could make it." Said Mystic Shine.

Twilight put on a fake smile.

"Wouldn't miss it for the world."

Comet Tail looked at Grey Sky.

"So how have things been with you two the past few years?" Asked Comet Tail.

"Well after the teacher dragged us away after that incident with the book, we got put into a different class." Said Grey Sky. "Learned our lesson after that."

Mystic Shine looked at Twilight.

"Bullying you was wrong." Said Mystic Shine.

A waiter came by with four glasses of lemonade.

"Hope you don't mind but we ordered your drinks for you." Said Mystic Shine. "But then again who doesn't like lemonade?"

Mystic Shine levitated the glasses onto the table and took a sip from hers. The waiter stepped away.

"Its fine." Said Comet tail.

Comet tail took a sip of his lemonade.

"Later on we started dating and graduated from school." Said Grey Sky.

He took Mystic Shine's hoof into his own.

"Thats interesting." Said Comet Tail.

Twilight looked around the room, trying to avoid the conversation. Mystic shine looked at Twilight.

"Twilight." She began. "You have been awfully quiet."

Twilight turned her attention back to Mystic Shine.

"I know that its going to take alot for you to forgive us, but we hope this is a good start." Said Grey Sky.

He took out a small box from under the table and set it in front of Twilight.

"Open it up."

Twilight sighed and began to open the box. Inside was a silver necklace with a large sapphire in it.

"This looks expensive." Said Comet Tail.

"It was a gift from a friend." Said Mystic Shine. "But It doesn't look that good on me, so its all yours."

"Thanks....." Said Twilight.

Grey Sky took a sip of his lemonade.

"I know we might never be able to fully make up for all those years of torture we brought upon you." Said Grey Sky. "If I could go back and change what we did, I would."

"We just hope that we are getting on good terms with you Twilight." Said Mystic Shine.

Twilight looked at her former bullies.

"Maybe..... Maybe they have changed." Thought Twilight.

Twilight smiled.

"Your getting there."

Grey Sky and Mystic Shine both smiled back.

"Thank you Twilight." Said Grey Sky.

The four ponies started to talk the way old friends would talk to eachother.

Twilight stepped into the suite with Spike on her back and Comet Tail following her.

"That wasn't so bad."

Said Twilight.

"So your giving them a second chance then?" Asked Comet Tail.

Twilight smiled.

"Im willing to give them another chance." Replied Twilight. "They certainly want one."

Spike hopped off of Twilight's back.

"If you two need me, I'm going to be using that hot tub." Said Spike.

Spike walked towards the glass door and stepped went into the patio area.

"We got quite a bit of time before we should head over to my parent's for dinner." Said Twilight.

Twilight took out the necklace Grey Sky gave to her,

"Im going to put this in my room." Said Twilight. "Then I'm going to pay my friend Jade a visit."

Twilight trotted up the stairs, leaving Comet Tail by himself.

"Guess its going to be me for a little bit." Thought Comet Tail.

Comet tail looked at the cupboard in the kitchen area.

"Never did find out what was in there."

Comet Tail opened the cupboard and noticed a 200 piece puzzle box inside.

"Odd place to put a puzzle." Thought Comet Tail.

Comet Tail picked the box up with magic and walked over to a nearby coffee table.

Comet tail placed the final piece of the puzzle into its spot.

"Thats done."

Twilight walked in through the entrance.

"Im back."

Comet Tail got up and smiled.

"How was it?"

"Good."

Twilight looked at the clock.

"We got an hour before we head down for dinner." Said Twilight. "I think we should use it to get ready."

Comet Tail nodded in agreement.

"If you need a shower or anything, you can go in first." Said Comet Tail. "I can wait."

"Thanks." Said Twilight. "Could you get spike ready?"

"Of course." Said Comet tail.

Twilight gave him a quick kiss on the cheek before trotting into the bathroom.

Back at the Penthouse of Grey Sky and Mystic Shine, the pair chuckled at their success.

"She's on the same page as Comet Tail." Said Grey Sly."She thinks we changed!"

"Just wait until that necklace starts working." Said Mystic Shine.

Mystic Shine chuckled.

"They don't even expect it."
