"...Twi-?"
"Twilight?!"
Twilight's eyes snapped open to see Rainbow Dash standing above her looking like she just saw Discord, Sombra, and Queen Chrysalis all coming back for revenge. "What has gotten into you Rain-," her sentence was cut short by a stabbing pain coming from her wings. She started to cry "AHHH, RAINBOW! What in the name of Celestia happened?" Twilight half asked half shouted.
"I saved your bucking life! that's what happened! You were about to become a grease spot, probably in about 5 seconds!" Rainbow said with some small degree of pride in her voice. "Can you stand?"
"Yeah... I think so" Twilight responded through gritted teeth" She stood up and her wings nearly touched the ground and were bent in many unnatural places.
"That doesn't look good," Rainbow stated
"Well it certainly doesn't feel good either!" Twilight said as she rolled her eyes.
"Come on, Fluttershy will be able to help; her cottage isn't too far away."
The short walk took much longer than expected considering Twilight's broken wings. "Fluttershy, Fluttershy! Flutter-"
"Rainbow, I'm coming, what happened are you okay? Is there a villain coming back, *gasp* is there another dragon what abou- Twilight!" she talked frantically as she came up to the door, and then saw the crippled purple mare. "Oh my goodness, oh my goodness" Fluttershy said nearly incoherently. Rainbow, please don't tell me you tried to teach her to do tricks in flight."
"She wasn't; just how to fly." Twilight said looking slightly embarresed
"Come inside, Rainbow... lie her down on the ground and hold her hoof, I'm going to set her wings, and it could be awful painful for her."
"Okay, got it" Rainbow said as she got down next to Twilight, and took her hoof into her own.
Twilight at that moment, could only think about how much her friends cared for her. I'll need to tell Celestia about helping friends in need, and maybe do a scientific study on the effects of- She cried out when Fluttershy pulled her wing into a straight line; an intense burning was sent down her spine as her wings were set and again she fainted.
