Queen Chrysalis's Plan

She led the group to Zecora’s hut. They found Zecora outside tending to her garden.

“Hey Zecora.” Twilight said as they walked up to her.

“Hello Twilight, what brings you might?” Zecora asked.

“We were wondering if you’ve seen anything out of the ordinary lately.” Twilight said.

“Yes I do, I see you have two new ponies with you.” Zercora said, pointing to the red pegasus and blue earth pony.

“I’m Triple Threat.” Triple said.

“And I’m Jack Frost.” Jack said carelessly.

“Anything else?” Applejack asked.

“Yes, I saw animals running away from something while I was finding herbs on the forest floor. When I went to investigate, I found nothing but a hole that wasn’t there before.” Zecora told them.

Everypony looked at Fluttershy. The yellow pegasus thought for a moment.

“Where is this hole?” She asked finally.

Zecora lead them to it. Once there, Fluttershy examined the hole.

“It not like any hole I’ve ever seen before, I don’t know what animal could have made it. Our best chance of finding out is to go down it.” Fluttershy told them.

“Last one downs a blank flank!” Rainbow Dash called as she and Triple Threat dove into the hole.

Twilight sighed. “Apparently they also share going headfirst into things.” she said sadly as she jumped in after them.

The others followed. They slid down a long dark tunnel into a room full passage ways. A trail of black sand went down the middle one.

“Follow the sand, believe me.” Princess Luna said.

They followed the trail of sand which lead them to another room that had caged animals hanging from the ceiling with a large stone pillar. The queen of the changelings stood on top of it.

“Well, Well, Well, all the big shots of Equestria all in one place, lucky me. Did you like my little show Princess of the night? It got you all together didn’t it?” the queen asked mockingly.

“Listen you, you got thirty second to release those animals or I’ll…” Flutershy screamed.

“Or you’ll what? Give me your little stare; oh I’m so scared I’m shaking.” the wicked queen said sarcastically.

“Why are you doing this?” Luna demanded.

“Maybe it’s because me and my people are tired, tired of not having what you ponies have, to be accepted. Maybe we’re tired of having to live in shadows and being viewed as out casts, while you ponies roam in the sun, all viewing each other as equal.” Queen Chrysalis said coldly.

“Chrysalis, I can understand why you would think that, and I can see why you'd want to change it, but how your going about it is all wrong. If anything, will make matters worse.” Discord said.

“Really? The spirit of disharmony understands my case?  How amusing. Do you honestly think your in any position to reason with me, Discord?” Chrysalis asked menacingly.

“Yes!" Discord shot back with just as much malice, catching eveypony else off guard.

"They didn't except me right away either, even after my reformation. But going back to my old ways wouldn't help instead, once I learned that having friends is a good thing, I started to change my approach so I could make more. I was gentle and caring towards other and in time they started to except me into society, just as you want to.” Discord continued.

“Oh please, what rubbish, me and my people have been out casted for centuries, while they roamed free. Well, it’s our turn. We will have the night and day.” Queen Chrysalis said angrily.

“You must be out of you mind if you think that’s going to happen!” Luna roared in her royal canterlot voice.

“Oh, go suck on your horn princess.” Chrysalis said.

RD and TT  looked at each other, gave a nod and flew up to attack the queen.

Chrysalis turned into a giant wisp of black sand before the pegasi could reach her, but that didn't stop the two speeders from throwing punches all over it.

“Oh my, is that best you’ve got, I can’t feel anything. By the way, why do even bother to work with Rainbow Dash, Triple Threat. You always came second to her, isn’t it time you came out on top?” the queen taunted.

Triple stopped and though about it. It was the one thing that made her weak. Why does that fact keep mocking her? Rainbow stopped punching and looked at her red coated friend.

“Triple, I can understand how you feel, but she’s only doing to turn you against us, and we have to work together. The elements only work if they are together.” Rainbow said.

Triple looked down on the element of courage, then to RD, and finally the other six ponies bareing an element of hamony.

"They're together now.” Triple said.

Twilight started the attack sequence. The eight elementals were pulled into one area, then, just as they where about to shoot the magic rainbow to defeat Chrysalis, the elements stopped glowing. The ponies fell to the ground.

"What happened?, Why didn't it work?" Twilight asked.

Luna pondered. "Jack, do you know what your element is?" she asked the blue earth pony.

"No, I don't." Jack replied.

"That's it then. The elements can only work if the ponies who represent them know what element they represent." Luna explained.

“And is that, it is, Jack Frost.” The queen continued. “I didn’t think you of all ponies would be friends with these goodie two hoofs.” Chrysalis said mockingly.

“I’m not, this is only temporary, once we kick your sorry flank, I’m gone, so thanks for ruining my life you good for nothing…” Jack said angrily.

“Well, if it’s like that, then I’ll just ignore you. But then again, I would imagine you are used to that, aren’t you?” Queen Chrysalis said haughtily.

The speedsters just about had it, they wanted to fight.

“Take your old form and fight like a mare!” Rainbow Dash yelled angrily.

“Well, I’m right up here, come and get me Rainbow Crash.” Chrysalis taunted again, now back in her original form.

The 2 pegasi charged at her. But before either could reach her, Queen Chrysalis’s horn lit up green, making both pegasi stop dead in their tracks. Black sand on the ground took form of a salamander. Fluttershy recognized it at once.

“What have you done to Sammie?” she demanded.

“Do you like my new trick, I learned it from you Luna.” Chrysalis laughed.

“How?” Luna asked, scared of the answer.

“Well, since you can manipulate a ponies dream, I found out how to do it myself. Then once in a creatures dream, I take away all its hopes and dreams they have until all that remains it despair. Then I put anger, hatred and loyalty to ME alone into them, thus making the perfect animal fighting machines.

“So that’s why you kidnapped all those animals.” Fluttershy said angrily.

She charged up the changeling queen and shot her the trademark stare. Unfortunately, it took no effect on the queen.

“I’d be careful if I were you.” Queen Chrysalis said.

“Why? You think I’m afraid of you, nopony has been afraid of you since Princess Candance and Shining Armor kicked you sorry hide at the wedding.” Fluttershy scream in the queen’s face.

“Oh yes, the wedding, how easily Shining believed I was his beloved Candace, so easy was it to manipulate him, and so much power.” The queen said.

Twilight unfolded her wings, ready to charge at changeling but Pinkie collapsed. Everypony gather around to see what happened

“Oh, well look at that it’s already begun” Chrysalis said.

“What has?” Rarity demanded.

“Guys, I feel so weak like I’m empty.” Pinkie said.

“Ha ha ha, didn’t any of you know about the elements weaknesses is, something I found out from our last encounter. Having the power of the elements is wonderful but there is a catch. If you can get enough ponies to stop believing in the elements of harmony, then everything they stand for go’s away and little by little so does the pony that represents it as if they never existed.” Queen Chrysalis said.

The other elements could feel themselves begin to hollow out.

“ When the Elements of Harmony no longer exist, I'll be free to do as I please, and I’m going to recreate Equestria in my own image. A world without laughter, honesty, generosity, loyalty, kindness, courage, whatever Jack represents, and magic. A world of nothing but fear and despair, and me calling the shot. And you will be out casted, my little ponies.” The queen laughed.

Just then, Twilight shot a burst of magical energy at Queen Chrysalis, knocking her off the pillar. The lavender pony took another shot, but Chrysalis deflected it with a magical burst of her own. Then the salamander attacked the purple alicorn while Queen Chrysalis made a run for it. The other gave chase. The queen lead them to an exit. Just as they all got outside, Chrysalis was gone.

“Well now what?” Jack asked.

“Now, we see to Pinkie..” Fluttershy started, but tears won over. “Why?” she cried.

Triple put a hoof on Fluttershy’s shoulder. “It’s okay, we’ll get Queen Chrysalis for doing this to those innocent animals.” Triple said.

“TRIPLE!” Pinkie managed to scream.

Triple turned to the pink earth pony. “Come on Pinkie, don’t die on me, remember the time I kissed you when we first met.” Triple said.

Pinkie laughed at the memory, and then found the strength to get up.

“Why would Queen Chrysalis only collect animals from the Everfree forest.” Rarity asked.

Then it hit Luna.

“That was only a distraction, the real prize is the tree of life.” She exclaimed.

“What?” Discord asked.

“The tree of life has leaves that hold the memories of every pony that every existed.” Luna explained.

“Wait, that means that tree has my memories, and that must mean I had a life before this, we have to get to that tree.” Jack said excitedly.

Fluttershy groaned and collapsed.

“No not kindness, come on Fluttershy, I know you’re stronger than that.” Discord said as he picked up the first friend he ever made. As he did, a tear came to his eye. It fell of his face and landed on Flutershy’s muzzle. She grit her teeth and picked herself up.

“Twilight, we  can't let this go on, I am not losing my closest friend to that ugly horse.” Discord snapped.

Twilight thought for a moment. “We’ll get the ponies to believe in kindness and laughter again.” she said.

“And how the hay are we going to do that?” Applejack asked.

“Applejack is right, we’re talking about every pony in Equestria.” Rainbow Dash said.

“She’s right, I go into 5000 pony dreams a night, and that’s not even one 16th of the total population of Equestria.” Luna said.

“It might be hard, but we can do it.” Twilight said. Everypony stared at Jack.

“Jack, I know we’re not your favorite group, but if you help us, we’ll do everything we can to get your memories back.” Triple said.

Jack looked at Triple. There was something about this pegasus he liked, but couldn't put a hoof on it. Suddenly, the pink earth pony got in his face.

"Yeah come on Jack, join us."

“Okay, I’m in.”  Jack said pushing Pinkie out of the way.

“Follow me to the tree.” Zecora said.

She lead them to the largest tree in the forest. But while the trees had leaves, this one was bare.

“Oh no, this is not good, the memories are gone.” Luna said.

“What now?” Applejack asked.

“Now we get to the carrier, we’re going to Ponyville.” Twilight said.

The group found the carrier and race to Ponyville.

"Good luck  to thee and give the changelings an assbuck for me!" Zecora called as she watched the carrier fly away.
