What Am I Doing Here?

It's been a day since me and Rose did it for the first time. I'm so glad I'm not 15 any more. Speakin' of which it's my birthday pretty soon. Anyway Rose, Twilight, Rainbow, Rarity, Pinkie, Fluttershy, AJ, a weird dragon and myself were sitting in the park having a nice picnic.

Personally I hated picnics, but Rose really wanted me to come along. Well, she bribed me really. She said if I didn't come then no more fun time. I hafta be a lady pleaser, don't I? Anyway me and Spike, the dragon, were talking about guy stuff. Mainly music and chicks. Apparently he had a liking for heavy metal like I do. He also told me that he liked Rarity.

Okay. I'm not one to judge a dragon liking a pony. Because I'm a human dating a pony.

While I was talking about Nirvana with Spike and their song 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' and how it got it's name, I heard Rarity say something just barely audibly to Rose.

"I know he's only 15, but still it's smaller then a full grown stallions. How was it?"

I grin and cocked my head into Rarity's direction.

"Rarity, size doesn't matter! It's how you use it! Oh, and I have a thing called a tongue!"

Everypony within earshot blushed very hard. Me and Spike were rolling on the ground laughing while all the girls were trying to recover from my remark. Oh, god. This is too funny. When everypony recovered, Rose smiled and nodded.

"He was amazing, Rarity."

I grinned and winked at Rose.

"What can I say? I'm a lady pleaser."

Rose giggled and winked back to me. Me and Spike were together away from the group of the mares. Mainly because all they talked about was gossip. I wasn't afraid that Rose would do something to embarrass me. Truth be told, it is extremely hard to make me embarrassed. But I knew she wouldn't. I trusted her.

I turn back to Spike and resume the discussion of Earth music. I didn't feel bad talking about Earth now. I accepted Equestria as my home and I was happy with that. But Spike decided to move to uncharted territories on my past.

"So dude, what was your family like?"

I froze in the middle of biting an apple. All the girls looked at me and Spike. I might've accepted Equestria, but that doesn't mean I liked talking about family. I lowered the apple and sighed.

"Well, my mother left because she didn't want anything to do with me or my dad when I was born. My brother died in a car accident when I was roughly 6. I can't remember much, but I know I was in it."

I took a breath and smiled.

"My dad got injured at work, so he was let off until it was healed. But, it was 30 years and still no healing. He was a grump most of the time, but when he wants to be he can be as much fun as Pinkie Pie."

I looked over to the girls. They all looked saddened. I look back to Spike and continue.

"Me and dad lived together in a small country town where everyone is friendly and only out of town people were jerks."

Spike looked saddened as well.

"What about friends?"

I laughed heartily.

"Friends? I didn't have any. And I liked it that way. I hated everyone at my school and they hated me. And for awhile I loved that. Until one fateful day, I met a strange girl on the bus."

I lie back on the soft grass and close my eyes with a smile.

"Her name was Chrissy. She took a liking to me very quickly. At first, it kind of angered me. But as the day went on, I saw that she wasn't like everyone else. And that she genuinely wanted to be my friend."

I chuckled and opened my eyes to the beautiful sky.

"Everything changed when I got off the bus home and...she took me here."

I sit back up and picked up an apple from the basket.

"She took me here. To this world. I walked into town and saw that everyone was afraid of me. Not that I blamed them. An alien wandering into town? I'd be afraid as well."

I fling the apple high in the air and catch it, taking a bite from it.

"Rose was the only one who showed she wanted to help me get home. Which is what I wanted, but no longer. Earth, my Earth, is gone. My past is destroyed. It's up to me to build a future here."

I smiled and lie back on the grass, eating the apple and staring up to the clouds.

"And that's about it."

My vision of the sky was instantly interrupted with dark shapes. I shot up and saw that the girls had gathered around me with frowns.

"Hey, that's all in the past. Just forget about it."

I was going to lie back down, before Rainbow shot forward and hugged me. This put me in a semi state of shock. I looked down to the multi maned mare.

"Um. What are you doing?"

Without warning, everyone starts hugging me. I was trapped within a group hug and I didn't like it. But, it felt nice so I decided to let 'em do it. Why not. It's not killing anyone. When they pulled away, Rose was still holding onto me. She lifted her head up. She had tears in her eyes.

"What's wrong? Why are you crying?"

Without warning, she pressed her lips to mine, kissing me. Now I'm not complaining about the kiss, but I hated the "Awwww" the girls did when they saw Rose kiss me. When she pulled away she smiled and hugged me.

"You're in a better place now."

I chuckled and patted her back.

"Don't make death references, my old bones can't handle it."

She laughed and pulled away from the embrace.

"Well, you're with us now. That's all that matters."

I laughed and nodded.

"Sure is."

I laughed and lied back on the grass. The mares went back to their spot except for Rose, who rested her head on my chest looking upwards.

"The sky is beautiful lookin' today."

I raise my hand with a thumbs up.

"Good work, Rainbow!"

I heard a faint "You know it!" and lowered my arm. Rose looked up at me with a pleading look.

"Do you wanna go on a date?"

I look down at her in confusion.

"I'll have to get a job first and earn some money though."

She shook her head.

"No, I'll pay."

I laughed so fucking hard.

"Sorry, Rose. I'm a gentlemen when needed to be and I'll pay."

She smiled and rested her head back on my chest.

"So, what are your rules? You said you only used them because it's a moral standard of yours."

I laughed and ruffled her mane.

"Okay. One rule you already know, is not attack unless attacked first. It helps when someone angers me, trying to provoke me into hitting first."

She rolled over and placed her hooves folded on my chest while she rested her head on her hooves.

"Another is to never lie. If you lie, and people find out you lied you'll get into more trouble then if you just told the truth."

I pat her head and smile.

"The others aren't really usable in this world."

She smiles and kisses me on the cheek.

"You're like my knight in shining armour."

I laughed and shook my head.

"I'm no knight. I'm just some guy."

I lifted my head in the direction of the mares.

"Hey, any of you girls know where I can get some work?!"

AJ nodded and waved a hoof.

"Ah always need a helpin' ho- hand!"

I smile and clap my hands. Rose gets off my chest and allows me to jump to my feet and walk over to AJ.

"No time like the present, right?"

She smiles and jumps up, donning her hat.

"Okay. Let's go."

As she walks towards her farm I spin around and walk backwards, waving to Rose. I spin back around and continue following her to her farm. We got there in about 10 minutes and I saw Big Mac and Applebloom. Big Mac nodded to me as a greeting while Applebloom ran up to me and tackled me to the ground in a hug.

"Crystal!"

I pat her head and smile.

"Hey, Applebloom."

She gets off me and frowns at me.

"Big Mac and Granny Smith took mah screwdriver off me."

I frown but turn it into a smile.

"As unfair as I see that as, I can't do much about it."

She frowns and gives me the cutest yet saddest look I've ever seen.

I groan and walk up to Big Mac.

"I'll try and get it back."

I walk up to the massive stallion and sigh.

"Hey, Big Mac? You mind if I hold onto Applebloom's screwdriver? None of you know how it works and it can be dangerous if the wrong pony were to get their hooves on it. I won't give it to her I promise."

He stares at me with an excellent poker face for a few seconds before nodding his head.

"Ah suppose yer right. Ah'll go git it later."

I smile and look to Applebloom.

"I'll give it back to you when I feel the time is right."

She half hearts a smile as I continue following AJ further into the farm.

"Say, AJ? Who's Granny Smith?"

"Monster! Monster on tha farm!"

AJ facehoofed and looked back to me.

"That's Granny Smith."

Within seconds a green elderly mare runs past me and up to Big Mac.

"Big Mac! There's a monster on tha farm!"

I shook my head and continued following AJ to a barn. She opened the doors and revealed the inside. She pointed to a large group of baskets.

"Ya'll need ta git one of those baskets and buck some apples. Ya did a great job last time, let's see if'n ya can do another."

I nodded and cracked my knuckles. AJ flinched at the noise.

"Right. Better get started."

I walk over and stack two baskets then another two. I pick them all up and start walking out the barn with them. I heard AJ shout from behind me as I was carrying the two stacks on my shoulders.

"Ya'll might wanna take that shirt off! Apple buckin' works up a mean sweat!"

I nodded and tried waving a hand.

"Don't worry! I'll do it when needed!"

I walked towards the nearest tree and placed the baskets around the edge of the trunk. I step back and readied myself in a fighting stance I taught myself.

"I wanna see how ya do it."

I heard AJ behind me, but didn't turn to look. I pull my fist back, and smash it into the tree. Not enough force to dint the tree, but enough to shake all the apples out. I walked over to the baskets and placed them on my shoulders. I looked back to AJ, who had a shocked look on her face. I laugh and snapped my fingers in front of her face as I walked to the barn.

"One down, a few hundred to go."

She snaps out of it and stares at me as I place the baskets inside the barn and grab another stack. This time, I had an idea. I walked over to the next tree and placed the baskets around the edge, then walked back into the barn and did the same thing to the next one. I repeated this until a row of about six tree's had baskets. I didn't know if what I was about to do would work, but worth a shot. I stand in front of the tree's and take my shirt off. I throw it aside and kneel to the ground.

"AJ, this might hurt a lot. So ready me a first aid kit."

I started breathing very slowly with my eyes closed, then I raised my arm very high in the air.

Oh yeah, this was going to hurt.

I snapped my eyes open and smashed my fist down on the ground. At first, I felt nothing. But then I felt the pain.

Oh god the pain. I'd rather turn back into a pony again.

While I was lying on the ground holding my hand in pain, I stood back up and looked at my handy work. All the tree's were now empty and all the apples were in the baskets. Well, a lot of apples weren't in the baskets but you can't argue with results. AJ runs up to me with the first aid in her mouth before dropping it in shock.

"What did ya do?"

I turn to her, still grasping my hand.

"A very stupid thing."

-----A Few Hours Later-----

Well, my hand was bandaged and AJ specifically told me to never use the hand until she deemed it worthy of use. Well, at least I could use my feet. My legs were one of my strongest assets. I broke bones with these fuckers on multiple accounts.

So as I was going around smashing tree's with my feet, I heard a voice behind me.

"Well look at you, sexy."

I grin and lowered my foot and turned to the owner of the voice.

"Hey, Rose."

She smiled and tackled me into a hug.

"How's your new job?"

I chuckled and let her down. I scratched the back of my head nervously and show her my hand.

"It started out rough but I'm fine now."

Rose grabbed my hand, which hurt like a mother fucker and I tried hiding it. Rose noticed I was in pain and let go.

"What did you do?"

I laughed and shook my head.

"A very stupid thing."

-----One Hour Later-----

AJ was more then pleased with my work and gave me my payment, and a bit extra for the amount of apples I was able to get. I put my shirt on and waved to the Apple family as I walked home in the dark. Nopony was out at this time, but I could see faintly in the dark thanks to the full moons light. I've been told that Princess Luna raises the moon at night. I really wanted to meet her now. I was always interested in space and science. I'll get around to asking Twilight if I could meet her.

As I enter Rose's home, I noticed that all the lights were off. I started tip toeing around. I closed the door quietly and slowly crept up the stairs. I slowly enter Rose's bedroom an try my fucking hardest to crawl into bed and not wake her. I was finally in and I wrapped my arm around her sleeping form.

"You're late."

God mother fucking damnnit!

She turns around in the bed. I couldn't see her face in the pitch black darkness.

"I'm sorry, Ro-"

I was going to apologize, but instead I feel her lips meet mine.

"Shush now. It's fun time."

I'm the luckiest bastard alive.
