Echo Dash I

-Five years later-

        "Hay kiddo, how was the first day of school?" Rainbow Dash asked.

        "Okay I guess, the only pony that was nice to me was Blueberry. Everybody else wanted to make fun of me 'cuz I'm a human," Echo swung his back pack on the couch.

        "Aww, well at least they put you in the same class as your favorite cousin," Rainbow exclaimed.

        "Yeah," Echo replied.

        "Well, you wanna learn about human's? Maybe learning something good about your kind will make you proud, instead of shy," Rainbow told Echo

        "Okay, mommy," Echo looked up.

        Rainbow sat down to teach her son about his culture and maybe learn something herself."Alright Chapter one of the textbook, human's perfected comunication. They used language to talk and write to each other like we do, and art to show their feeling's. What did they do that we didn't already do? Human's hit a major decline in population when they merely destroyed the planet when fighting over a silly dispute. The only remaining human's can be found in southern Equestria. That's the end of chapter one," Rainbow ended.

        "Wow, humans didn't get along very well," Echo announced.

        "Yeah, and some had to pay for others ignorance," Rainbow replied.

        "You wanna know what i'm gonna be when I grow up?" Echo asked.

        "What?" Rainbow replied.

        "I'm going to be the first human Wonderbolt!" He announced.

        "Really? And how are you going to fly?" Rainbow asked.

        "I'll find a way. I promise you," Echo exclaimed.

        "Okay, but you promised so you have to now," Rainbow added.

        "Cross my heart, hope to die and stick a cupcake in my eye," Echo chanted, "I love you!"

        "Love you too my little boy," Rainbow put the book away.

        Rainbow felt like melting every time echo said that and she blushed and replied "I love you too, my little star grabber!" Rainbow replied as Echo ran to his room. She though of five years back when Apple Jack told her she would be a good mom and knew the princesses knew what they where talking about. Even though none of the children, except Blueberry muffin (who is biologically the daughter of Pinkie Pies sister who died during birth) are related to there parent's they still loved each other. Then Rainbow thought maybe just maybe Family isn't who's blood you share, but the people who love and care for you, that is family.

        Rainbow wen't to go look in Echo's bedroom. It was decorated in Wonderbolts posters. most of them of Rainbow. The biggest one had a picture of a sonic rainboom and had a caption saying "Make Everyday 20% cooler!". He also had action figures of all the Wonderbolts except Rainbow. He always said "I don't need some little plastic one if I have the real one right here!"

        "knock, knock! Watcha doin?" Rainbow asked.

        "Im playing with my toys, wanna play with me mommy?" he asked.

        "Sure, i'll be spitfire," She said as she sat down.

        "Good 'cuz i'm soarin," He exclaimed

        And they played, Echo sometimes used Rainbow's hoof to represent her. Rainbow stopped at one point and realized it was 9:34 P.M and echo should get to bed.

        Rainbow told Echo to get in bed. She then kissed his forehead and tucked him in. Rainbow then told him a bed time story and then he always asked "Mommy where is Equestria in the world?" and she always told him "Equestria is in the world, the ponies live in Equestria, My son lives among the ponie's and my son is the world to me," She chanted.

        "Okay mommy, goodnight," he giggled.

        "Sweet dreams kiddo," she told him as she kissed his forehead, and left to go to bed.

        Rainbow had gone into her room at that point. She brushed her teeth and had a drink of water before bed. it was only half an hour when she heard Echo scream and she came running in.

        "What's wrong!" she yelled.

        "I had a bad dream. There were these guy's taking you away and I thought I would never see you again," Echo told her.

        "I guess you can come sleep with me." Rainbow exclaimed as they wen't into her room

Echo got into the bed first. when Rainbow got in Echo pulled her wing over his body as a blanket. And Rainbow pulled him closer to her body. and she could feel the loving warmth of her son

        "Mommy..." he began to whisper to her "I don't wan't you to ever leave me," he told her.

        "I wouldn't even leave you for all the fortune in the world. 'Cuz your my son and I love you more than anything in all of Equestria" She closed her eye's. "Just don't tell everypony I like to be a softie around you."

        Right before they fell asleep Rainbow could feel him wrap his arms around her and began hugging her, so she returned the favor and hugged him just as tight with her wings.

        Rainbow woke up at 6:12 A.M and Echo was still asleep. So she got breakfast ready. She made Pancakes, Muffins and toast. Echo came down a few minutes later, awoke by the smell of his favorite breakfast setup. Echo didn't say anything he just hurried down and started eating.

        He was dressed in jeans Rarity made and one of his favorite tee shirts Rarity made. It had a picture of Rainbow on it. He was also wearing the hat that Apple Jack gave to him the day after he was adopted. In his backpack he had some books. His lunch on the counter had apple sauce, orange juice grilled cheeze and a muffin. His hair was messy as always. Rainbow probably had a strong influence on that with her mane always messy.

        "Alright squirt time to go to school!" Rainbow grabed her Wonderbolts suit.

        "But mommy, why can't I stay home?" Echo asked

        "Beacuse you got school, I gotta go to Wonderbolts practice. You can go hang out with your aunt Twi." Rainbow said as she turned off the light's.

        "Alright," he replied with a sappy tone while walking out the door.

        Rainbow picked up Echo and gently lifted him down to the ground as she always did since he wasn't a pegasus, or a pony for that matter. Rainbow always let him down in a flower patch on the ground near they're house. Fluttershy planted one flower on each of his birthdays. After Echo was put on the ground, his mother walked him to school every day because she had a bad experience with bullies going to school on her own.

        "Mommy," Echo began. "Who where the bullies that made fun of you when you were in school?"

        "Oh just some boy's. They thought it would be fun to be mean to the Filly Fooler," she explained to Echo.

        Echo knew what the term meant, mare's who preffered other mare's instead of stallion's as love partners. However Rainbow wasn't insulted by it because it was true and Echo was proud of his mother. He was proud of her just the way she was. But when she was getting bullied the bullies realized the word didn't insult her, so they changed from verbal abuse to physical violence. Rainbow Dash was bullied so much she even considered suicide but instead she learn't there was more to life and left Cloudsdale to move to Ponyville.

        "Well we're here. Don't let the other's bully you or your cousin and you have to stick up for each other." Rainbow told him as she flew off to Wonderbolts. Echo waved goodbye to his mother and she did the same. Then Echo walked in and saw the little purple pony with a blue mane... It was his favorite cousin Blueberry Muffin.

        "Echo hay! Over here!" Blueberry shouted.

        "Hi Blueberry!" Echo greeted her as he sat down next to her.

        "Auntie Twi showed me a new spell this morning!" Blueberry Told Echo as she turned an eraser into a muffin.

        "Wow! I wish I could do magic!" Echo told Blueberry in amasment.

        "Well hey, my mom says anything's possible if you put your mind to it, just don't forget to celebrate it when you've done it!" Blueberry replied.

        "Hay look it's the magical mistake and the Two legged rat!" Called out a mean toned voice.

        "Stop Dark! Stop making fun of us! Why do you hate us so much?" Blueberry retorted.

        "Why. Why! Beacuse your just a bunch of misfit's without families! You were just adopted losers!!" Dark Star said.

        "Shut up!" Echo got a little angry.

        "You know what? I haven't got time for this." he had an evil laugh before he turned Blueberry's muffin into a grand cake and many other dessert's. "Hay Teacher! Blueberry and Echo brought food in and aren't sharing!" Dark hollered.

        "Echo! Blueberry! Go to the Detention room now!" the teacher ordered.

        And so Echo and Blueberry left to the detention room. There were no light's, window's, teacher or furniture in the detention room. It was cold and they were sent to stay there for the entire day. Echo didn't like the idea but he knew that Blueberry had some entertaining spells they could do. So it wasn't completly a waste of they're day.

        "Pssst Hay, I brought a muffin!" Blueberry whispered.

        "We could use that duplication spell you know!" Echo suggested.

        "Okay!" Bluberry got excited when she took the one muffin they had and created four more.

        "But im pretty sure one plus four is five and we can't make half's!" Echo was a little confused.

        "No the last one we'll duplicate if we wan't more. We'll still get two each," Blueberry Explained.

        Echo and Blueberry had a fun time and before they knew it it was time to head home. But because Echo's mother was at wonderbolts and Blueberry's mom Pinkie Pie was in Canterlot helping princess luna cope with the death of her apprentice Snowdrop. They had to go to there aunt Twilight's.

        "My mom told me that we both have to learn about extra stuff after school from Auntie Twilie. What does she teach you?" Blueberry asked.

        "She teaches me about Human history. What about you?" Echo asked in return.

        "How to use my magic properly," Blueberry replied."Look there's the library! Race ya there!"

        "Your on!" Echo ran past Blueberry.

        "Hey!" Blueberry hollered as she started to use magic to speed herself up.

        "Stop cheating you silly!" Echo hollered as they slowed down and gasped for a breath.

        "Good... Game... Echo... I feel... very... out of... breath," Blueberry panted and fell over. Echo followed.

        "Yeah... you're... out... of... breath... and ... you... cheated," Echo looked over to Blueberry "So... I... won."

        "Hay you two!" Came a voice from inside the library.

        "Auntie Twi!" Echo and Blueberry hollered in unison as they ran into the library.

        "Hello Auntie." Blueberry greeted "Yeah, hi auntie Twi," Echo followed.
