“Princess, may I ask you a question?” I asked and she returned a nod. “Do you know what I am?”

“No, but if you mean harm to my land or its subjects, action will be taken,” Celestia said in a firm royal fashion. I knew she was completely serious, but also felt a little doubt in her words. She didn’t know what we are capable of; it might be better that way.

“Princess, I come from a different world entirely. I mean you and your subjects no harm,” I said, trying not to piss off the goddess. “I know my actions taken to draw your attention were a bit harsh, but I don’t know much about this land. I don’t want to wander aimlessly until I am caught by something not as civilized as yourself. Who better to talk to, and to make friends with than the ruler? I will, to the best of my ability, answer any questions you have for us.”

“Why did you come here?” She said bluntly.

“We were dragged here, it wasn’t a choice. One minute we were talking and the next we awoke in the Everfree,” I remembered to leave out the voices, I don’t know if they can be trusted yet. Right now, they are the only lead we have. “I personally made the decision to approach the ponies the way I did to gain an audience with you. Logically, it was the fastest way to do so.”

“I understand,” She replied. “Where did you come from?”

“We come from a place called Earth. A place filled with other humans, and other life, humans are the only sentient life though,” I answered.

“What are the people like on earth, and what reason would something have to bring you here?” The Princess inquired.

I replied, “Honestly, Princess, I don’t think you would like to know the quality of our society. There are few anymore that share kindness, and even fewer who actually do something to help the greater good. As to why we are here, I have no idea. I was hoping you could tell me.”

“What do you plan to do now?” She asked, with the threatening tone gone. I think realized that we were just two lost people looking for a home.

“With your permission I would like to stay with these ponies here, I hope the Element of Magic might be able to help us. I will put an end to the hostilities here.”

“What is your name?”

“My name is Aidan, that there is Colin,” I motioned to him as he was cutting out of the bonds.

“Aidan, for the time being you and Colin are to come with me to Canterlot. I hope you can understand why I won’t let you stay here,” She said in a way I knew nothing bad would happen to us. Maybe this is all for the better anyway, living in Canterlot. No doubt Celestia is stronger in magic than Twilight.

“Very well, Celestia. We will come to Canterlot,” I said looking to Colin. “Any objections?”

“You know this place better than I do,” Colin stated. True, but then again I didn’t know much about the princess herself.

Celestia walked to the door and let the ponies back into the tree house. The six ponies and little dragon followed her in.

“This is Aidan, and his friend Colin,” Celestia said motioning to us.

Rainbow was the first to jump on the opportunity to tell us off, “What do you think you’re doin talkin to the princess! You don’t deserve to look at her!”

Twilight grabbed onto the situation next, “Princess, why aren’t they in prison, or banished, or something?” She said.

Celestia stood calmly, “Aidan knows…” she said before I held up a hand to cut her off.

“I was taken here from my own world; the one person I knew I could trust was Celestia, and I had to reach her as fast as I could. The absolute quickest way of doing this was to threaten one of the Elements of Harmony and demand an audience,” I said calmly, not revealing that it was a race. “When I saw you attack Colin on sight I knew that I had to make the first move if I didn’t want to end up the same way. I know what I did was bad, but I had to see Celestia.”

Rarity stood in the corner not looking at me; she looked as if she had been crying, with makeup running down her face.

I walked over to her and knelt down so we were at eye level, “Rarity, I’m sorry for what I have done,” I took of the red mask I made earlier so she could see my face. “Look, as long as I am here I will never let anything happen to you or your friends… I promise.” The way she looked into my eyes was heart-rending. I had taken away her peace of mind because I wanted to win a stupid race.

Celestia then said, “My little ponies, it is getting late and I must leave back to Canterlot. Aidan and Colin must come with me back to Canterlot,” She looked to Twilight “I will send a letter if you are needed once more.”

We followed Celestia outside where two large carriages awaited. She told us to get into one, which was covered. I assume she didn’t want us revealed to the public just yet. Colin and I got into the covered carriage while Celestia got into an open carriage; both were pulled by larger Pegasus guards.

Colin looked at me, “What the fuck was all that shit with the small white one?”

I replied, “Don’t judge me, I have standards. They may not be high, but I got em!”

“and what was all that badassery you pulled out back there?”

“I have to admit, kicking rainbow did feel good.” We both laughed. We are cruel high school kids, treat each other like shit and talk behind people’s backs. Bull I’ll be damned if I let these ponies down. “Listen, about that promise. As cheesy as it sounds, I intend to keep it. We are bigger than them, why not play along for a while? Gain their trust, hell, they might even be able to teach us some of their awesome magic.”

“Ok, so who is Celestia?” Colin asked.

“Princess Celestia and her sister Princess Luna rule the magical land of Equestria!” I said applying a mocking tone. “There is another, Princess Cadence, but I don’t know much about her. Celestia raises and lowers the sun, while Luna controls the moon. Cadence is like cupid, she does her thing with love.”

“Well fuck, looks like we are trapped for a while.” Colin said looking to the floor.

“Hey, Colin,” I said with a massive grin. “I won the race…”

“Well I don’t know, I was there at the same time so does that really count?”

“We’ll let Morgan Freeman decide.”

“Do they know why you took them?” A large booming voice asked.

“No, and they have gotten close to the princess faster than we imagined. They are exactly the kind of people we need.” The raspy smoker voice responded.

“What will you have them do next?” the first voice asked.

“For now I will wait until the right opportunity to summon them.”

“And if they refuse to help?”

“I’m their only way back. They wouldn’t dare oppose our cause!”

When we arrived in Canterlot we were greeted with a line of brutish guards. I can tell that they meant business, and would do anything to protect their princesses.

Hey creepy you there? I thought to myself.

Yes. he responded.

Why was it so important to meet the princess so fast?

To protect you from the other beings that also seek your help.

And why should I believe you and not them?

I haven’t killed you, for one.

Point taken, you have a name?

I have been dubbed many things, feared by some, hailed by others. They all call me by Vis though, meaning power, force, and strength. It’s Latin actually.

Do we really have that much of an impact on the universe?

No, that language was given to you. Humans were never alone in the beginning. They had someone to guide them, but when He left most humans lost their way and were corrupted.

Anything relate to Catholicism?

Yes, most of it is true.

Good to know. These princesses, are you sure we can trust them?

With your lives.

What should I do now?

Gain their trust, live a normal life.

Ok, but there is something bothering me. Was it you who brought us here?

No, I just was the first to get inside your head.

Just then I felt something in my head, moving. It didn’t surprise me, nor disgust me. Actually I felt safe. The simple fact that we weren’t alone here gave me rest.

So how does this work? Can you work your way into my thoughts and memories?

Yes, and I must say. Earth has changed since I last saw it. People certainly care less about one another.

Yeah, it’s a shame really. Will the other ponies ever trust me again?

Celestia was getting off her carriage and looked over to Colin and me.

Not at first, but time heals all wounds. I must not talk or Celestia will sense my presence and will never trust you. With that Vis rested into a spot in my head and stopped talking.

“Hello, Celestia,” I greeted the princess with a smile.

“Hello, you two will be staying in guest rooms,” Celestia said gaining surprised looks from the guards and us humans.

Colin started, “But, Princess, don’t you…”

“That would be wonderful, Celestia. Thank you,” I said shutting Colin up.

“Thank you, Princess,” He said understanding why I but in.

She lead us to Colin’s room and inside was a large bed, a dresser, a bathroom with a good sized shower, and a large mirror on the wall.

“This is where you will be staying Colin, make yourself at home,” She said giving him a warm smile.

“Thank you, Princess,” He replied with a small bow, I suppose he was just respecting royalty. Somehow I can’t help but think Celestia doesn’t like always being treated to highly, I know I wouldn’t.

We stepped back into the hall and moved to the door opposite Colin’s. The room was an exact copy, only flipped. The way the room curved with the walls of the tower gave the room a unique shape. We were in a large circular tower with only two rooms per floor, obviously a suite. Why would she give us this? Something tells me not to get too complacent around these ponies. Celestia walked in and shut the door. She let out a long sigh before turning to look at me.

“Aidan, I want to trust you, I know there is something good beneath that mask. So I’m taking a leap of faith. You will have to prove yourself to us before we let you live openly. I will have Twilight begin a search for methods of world transportation immediately,” She walked a little closer. “Thank you for being so open, I know this may be difficult for you.”

“Honestly, I would be more surprised if something like this didn’t happen. My life hasn’t exactly been easy, so world hopping is just another thing on the list. I’m sorry I grabbed your attention the way I did, it was careless, and I doubt the others will like me any time soon. C-Celestia, I want you to know that I am ready and willing to do whatever you need us to do. I know what this world has to offer, and I don’t want to ruin that with humanity.”

“What do you mean?” She said sympathetically, and wanting to know more.

“Our kind isn’t exactly the best out there, wars at every turn, people hating each other left and right.”

I went to sit down on the bed and buried my face in my hands and let out a sigh. Celestia sat down next to me obviously worried.

“This world is nice, sure it has hiccups every now and again, but nothing like back on Earth,”

I’m not sure if I would want to leave if they found a way. Sure there is family, and friends, but this is something big. It could just be that I’m tired. Better reassure Celestia, don’t want her to worry about me.

Celestia looked at me with a caring expression and I said, “I don’t want you to worry though, I’m just tired now, that’s all.”

She stood up and made for the door, “Good night, Aidan.”

“Hey Vis, you said the winner of the race would get something?” I said when I was sure I was alone.

Indeed.

“Who won?”
