Corporal Golden Shield rubbed his head with his hoof as he stood up groaning in pain. Outside the bars he could see an incredibly white oval shaped room. Nearby he could see the rest of the outpost's soldiers waking up too.

"Ha! They think these bars can hold an earth pony!" shouted the Sargent as he tried to buck the door off. It didn't end well for the poor Sargent. A loud crack resounded in the room as his hooves cracked and a few thousand amps wracked the late Sargent. Golden Shield turned away from the smoldering corpse as he looked out into the room. Seams appeared in the wall and a door whooshed to the side with a clank. Golden Shield waited to see what horror was... Hey! It was Princess Luna! They were saved! She was wearing some weird armor. It wasn't metal it looked like woven strands of a strange material. Her two Lunar Guards accompanied her.

"Behind you Princess!" shouted Golden Shield as a strange creature walked into the room. It was as tall if not taller than the Princess. He had strange hooves that were covered in some sort of black boot and strange clothes that were wearing black gloves. He also wore a flat cap on his head with the insignia of a Five Star General. He was most definitely outranked by the strange creature. Luna had turned her head to look at the creature who shrugged.

"I fail to the see the problem, Guard." said Luna.

"But he's obviously the one who put us here." said Golden Shield. At this the creature spoke.

"Hardly. I was asleep until about five hours ago when Princess Luna here woke me up and my race from our slumber." He said in an impossibly deep voice.

"Then who did." said Golden Shield praying to Celestia that the answer was not what he thought it was.

"My guard here did." said Princess Luna. Golden Shield tried to hide his shock and failed miserably.

"Epsilon would you be so kind as to bring our Solar Guard friends here up to speed." said the creature.

"Certainly." said a disembodied voice.

"Who was that." said Golden Shield.

"This base's resident Artificial Intelligence." said the Creature. He turned and walked out the door followed by the Princess of the Night and her guard.

"Now my good pony it's time to educate you on Humanity." said Epsilon as a claw grabbed the unfortunate pony and tossed him into a waiting chair.

"By making you live it." A large spike drove itself into the Shield's spine tapping the spinal cord. Shield lost consciousness. Then he woke up as a human. It was like he was a passenger along for the ride as the human appeared to go through the daily morning routine. He switched on some sort of box which proceeded to play a moving picture.

"BREAKING NEWS AN UNKNOWN LANDMASS HAS APPEARED IN THE GULF OF MEXICO. THE INHABITANTS APPEAR TO BE SENTIENT AND ARE NOT HUMAN!" blared the box. The spoon fell out of the human's hand and clattered in the bowl. Then the scene switched to the meeting between Humanity and Pony kind. Then the lab where apparently the Elements of Harmony were created. All Golden Shield could tell was the place was called CERN because it was on the wall. Then it switched to the Celestial Betrayal. Golden Shield watched in horror as the Celestia began to wage war against the human's. He could only watch as the human's body he was in helped Nightmare Moon of all ponies away only to be shot through the stomach by Celestia. The psychological shock was too much for the Corporal and with a loud snap his mind broke leaving a babbling pony in his place. The rest of the unit was undergoing the same treatment they too went mad and were disposed along with Golden Shield by incineration in the cooling units for the fusion reactor. Epsilon sighed. HE had better go supervise the launch of the UHA FORWARD UNTO RECLAMATION.

Meanwhile in Canterlot...

A pillar of flame burned its way up outside. In the gardens the guests of the wedding reception were all watching in awe. Well all except one.

"No, I removed them." breathed Celestia as she watched the pillar grow ever taller. THEY were back.
