Discord's Warrior

I wake up to see that outside of the giant tree that was my temporary home, and saw that the woods were a little foggy the wind was cold but not enough to make me shiver.

I got up from the spot I had been sleeping on and I stretched my wings and started to fly around looking for Palewing so that I could tell her about Discord’s plan to kill the High King, and for some apples to satisfy my hungry stomach.
I flew up to the top of the tree where the big red apples where at and I picked a couple of them and then flew down and ate them near the entrance to the tree.

“Hello Storm Chaser” said Palewing I jumped because I didn’t see her at all “a little skittish are we?” “Nope just a little surprised is all” I said as I looked around for her, noticing that the fog was a little too dense to be normal.

“This forest also creates fog on occasion but it clears right up after a while” Palewing said as she revealed her face to me by taking a step toward me looking at me with what I thought was a worried look.

‘Hey, Discord how should I tell her about the plan? I don’t know if I should really tell her that you are inside of my head, and that I am a human that you turned into a pegasus, hell I seriously doubt she would believe me anyways’ I thought as I bit into another apple.

‘Well just tell her about me and that I gave you Eclipse Slicer so that you can fight the King dragons, hopefully she will understand if not touch her head with your hoof when I tell you to’.

“Hey, Palewing I was thinking would you kill or at least try to kill the High King dragon if you had the chance?” She also started to think and said “Yes even if I were to die I would give my life to kill that traitor to the code”
I was a little surprised at how she answered very quickly almost without considering the risks of such an act.

“Okay then, can you tell me what the dragon code is?” she looked at me in the eye and said “I really shouldn’t tell a pony, but something tells me you are different than they are”

She took pride in what she was saying “the dragon code is the group of rules that where set by the first dragons of Equestria to ensure that each dragon would live the life of a proud dragon”
I could tell by the way she was telling me this that this topic was very important to her.

“The code consists of five guidelines that every dragon should go by: If saved by another, protect them to the end, choose the difficult right instead of the easy wrong, watch over hatchlings as if they were your own, Fight for pride not greed and Judge not others by race but by their actions”

I was surprised about this code because if they were followed dragons would be very respected not just feared ‘I wonder if Spike knows about this code?’
“But sadly almost nodrake goes by the code anymore” she said as she looked to the ground with a disappointed look on her face.

“Wow dragon culture is very interesting but I’m guessing that no one really enforced the code did they?”
She laid down on the ground with a more relaxed expression on her face “well not really but every dragon was expected to at least live by one of the rules in the code or he or she would no longer be considered a dragon”

“Well Palewing will you help me kill the High King and restore Equestria to how it once was? I said with a determined tone as I looked at her.
The dragoness smirked at the comment almost as if she knew that I would ask her this question one way or the other, she once again got up on all fours and said “are you serious about this?”

“I am Palewing” I answered she then gave me a small smile and said “Then I Palewing of the wyvrex clan will aid you in your mission, but I must know why you want to do this”
I took a deep breath choosing my next words wisely because I didn’t want her to think I was crazy and then decide not to help me anymore.

“Well you’re going to think I’m crazy but”
“I already know you are crazy Storm Chaser I mean a pony even speaking of such things can’t be considered anything else” she said trying to tease me a little.

“Ha ha really funny” I said with a sarcastic tone “well you see Discord chose me as his warrior and told me to kill the High King dragon that took over this land”
Her face went from a slightly amused one to a confused one and then to a angered one “you expect me to believe your lies?”

I sighed “I knew you wouldn’t believe me” ‘Discord what should I do?’
‘Damn I thought she would believe you, well just touch her head with your hoof’
“Hey Palewing can I touch your head?” I asked her as I flew towards her.

“Sure I guess just don’t do anything weird”
I placed my hoof on her head hoping Discord didn’t do anything bad to her that would make me her enemy or something like that; as I touched her she closed her eyes for about a minute or two

‘Okay I explained everything to her, you can move now’ said Discord
“Well now do you believe me Palewing?” she looked a little dizzy and confused but then snapped out of it “Yes I believe you now but, never do that again if you want me to help you”

“Sorry but it was the only way to get you to believe me” the fog was now clearing up showing us a clear view to the woods. Palewing started to relax again and said as she looked up “we should start finding a way out of this forest, we can’t really kill the High King from here”

We then started walking into the woods to find the edge of them and to get out, I was flying slowly over the branches of the trees being careful of not going to high and being spotted by another dragon.

“You should practice using that sword, it will be useful later you seem to know the basic of fighting with swords, but you will have to learn to wield expertly especially while flying” said Palewing as she looked up at me.

“Okay good idea” I said as I slowly unsheathed Eclipse Slicer while I flew I then started to speed up and started to slice off some branches rather easily, I then started to make spins while I flew and cut deep into some of the trees.

“Hey calm down up there Storm Chaser we still don’t want that dragon to find us” said Palewing while walking faster to catch up with me.

“Okay then” I said as I landed next to her after sheathing my sword again “Palewing why are you helping me? I mean besides the fact that you hate the High King; I don’t want you coming just because Discord told you to”
“Are you getting sentimental Storm Chaser? Well if you must know I find you very interesting and I consider you to be a friend” I was surprised that someone who has only known me for three days is now my friend and is willing to fight alongside me.

I smiled “Thank you Palewing you are also my friend” she smiled back as we kept walking.

-20 minutes later-

“Storm Chaser I think we are halfway there we should hurry the sooner we are out of this forest the better”
The forest was quiet the only sound I could hear was the sound of the very tall trees swaying slightly on the wind and the grass and dry leaves on the floor making noise as we stepped on them.

Palewing started to look around like she had done the day before this and we quickened our pace trying not to make more noise.
“Palewing why have you been doing that since yesterday?” I asked her “because now I know that a dragon has been following us I just can’t tell when he will attack or even if he will”

I gulped “do you know who it could be?” she then sniffed the air “I’m not really sure, but if he does decide to attack and he is a King dragon I will kill him” she said with anger.
“Did those dragons do something to you?” I asked her trying to figure out if she only hated them because of what they do or because she was affected directly by their actions.

“They killed all of the other dragons of my kind” she said with sadness “I managed to escape and then I came here so I could wait for them to stop looking for me”

“I’m very sorry for your loss I shouldn’t have asked” I told her feeling sorry for her “No don’t be sorry it wasn’t your fault it was those damn traitors that did it”

We kept walking until we came up to a clearing different from the one I had landed in when I came to Equestria it was slightly bigger and had a large boulder in the middle of it.

“Something doesn’t feel right about this place Palewing, almost like its too normal I mean how can it be that we haven’t seen at least one manticore or a timberwolf?” I ask her as we stop right before stepping into the clearing.

“I did notice that but there is no turning back now, besides” she smirked “if you are that scared I will protect you” she then walked up to the clearing but then opened her eyes wide in shock and looked up at the top of a big tree.

“Well well look at who I found after looking for months” said a black scaled dragon with a deep voice.
The dragon 20 feet long had red eyes spikes on the back of his head and had the look of what I had expected a dragon to look like his wings were on his back and separate from his arms unlike Palewing and was looking at her like if she was his next meal.

Palewing bared her fangs at him yelling with hatred in every word “YOU, IT WAS YOU WHO KILLED MY CLAN!!!”
The other dragon just laughed and said “Not yet Palewing after all you are still alive” while he was smiling with an evil grin.
Palewing immediately ran at the King dragon with no hesitation trying to bite him and kill him, but the other dragon just moved to his side and punched her in her side with his powerful claws.

I froze up still outside of the clearing; I didn’t know what I could do because that dragon looked like Palewing couldn’t do a thing to him.

Palewing roared with anger and slashed the King dragon with a force that could break boulders easily, but he was barely hurt by this and he again pushed her with a force that drove her off her talons.
All the while the black dragon was smiling like what he was doing was just a game to him; he then grabbed her by the tail and swung her to the boulder in the middle of the clearing.

“What’s the matter Palewing I thought the wyvrex clan was a strong one? Oh yeah right they’re not that is why I volunteered to kill them all” he said as he started to punch her in her face over and over again drawing blood with each one.
“DAMN YOU TO TARTARUS!!!” said Palewing as she swung her tail and smacked the dragon off of her, she then started to bite him with her powerful jaws.

‘Fuck, fuck, fuck I don’t know what to do why can’t I do something she could die right in front of me if I don’t do something’ I thought as I was panicking

‘Snap out of it Storm Chaser use Eclipse Slicer and kill that blasted dragon’ said Discord sternly
The black dragon then lifted Palewing by the neck and pinned her to the boulder as he was choking her, he then moved his other hand back positioning it over her chest.

I flew over to dragon while I unsheathed my sword without thinking only wanting to protect Palewing from anymore harm “Stoooooop!!!” I yelled as I swung my sword at the arm that was holding on to Palewing’s neck but as the sword was coming down the dragon looked straight at me with a glare that froze me in fear.

My sword just bounced of the King dragon’s arm like if I had hit him with a stick “No” I said “YES” he yelled as he stabbed Palewing through her chest with his claws.

Palewing yelled in agony as the dragon kept stabbing her over and over while he laughed evilly every time more blood would paint Palewing’s beaten royal blue body, after she stopped screaming in pain he said “Well that was incredibly fun, it was well worth the wait”.

He then ripped her arms off her body with a sickening ripping sound as the wing membrane separated from her body which he then started to eat in front of me.

“Nooooooooooooooooooooooo” I yelled with anger and pure hatred as a black shroud of energy came off of my body.

“Hmm that’s interesting” said the dragon looking at what seemed to be an explosion of black energy come out of me and Eclipse Slicer. My sword then turned into the energy and seemingly disappeared.

“What’s happening to me!!!?” I yelled as claws grew out of my hooves, my teeth sharpened, my body became shrouded with the black energy, my wings turned into dragon wings the transformation hurt but at the same time felt like I took a weight off of my body and I could feel pure power that rivaled the hatred that I felt toward the dragon that had just killed my friend.

‘Sick em Storm Chaser’ said Discord I smiled took a deep breath and answered with “ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAR!!!!”
My roar rivaled the one that Palewing did when she had saved me. I then looked straight at the dragon and he said “what the buck are you?” I smiled and said “I’m your murderer”

I charged straight to the dragon leaving a small crater where I was at as I ran at full speed towards him I then jumped and kicked right on the face with a force that was impossible for a body my size to wield.

The dragon was swept of his talons and fell hard with a smack he got up and tried to slash me with his claws that I held in mine, I smiled and broke them as he yelled in agony.

“Buck you, you freak” he yelled in fear while holding his broken hand he then used his fire breath on me, but the flames just brushed of me like if it was a gentle breeze.

I laughed at him and this time flew faster than anything that dragon had ever seen in his waste of a life. I then flew straight down with my claws pointed forward and again hit the dragon full force on the wing this time ripping it clean off.

The dragon screamed in pain and I yelled “what’s the matter? I thought you like pain” I then balled my claws up to be fists and started punching him in the face over and over again each with bone breaking force.

He then tried to bite me but I just moved downwards next to the huge boulder were Palewing’s dead body was so he moved there and swung his tail right at me, and I flew straight at it and I cut it right off making him give another wail of pain.
I was literally bathed in his blood and he hadn’t landed one hit on me. “Please just let me live I promise I won’t ever kill anything ever again in my life” he said almost crying in pain and fear.

I slowly walked up to him and said “I am sure you will never kill again goodbye you fucking worthless piece of shit” I then flew up until he couldn’t see me. “Thank you I swear I wi” I flew down and landed on his head with a sickening crunch sound before he could lie to me again.

“That was for Palewing asshole” I said as I got off of what used to be his head. The energy that cloaked my body then came off and turned into Eclipse Slicer turning me back into a pegasus.

I looked around to see the destruction I had caused the clearing was scorched, and the trees around it were all smashed and broken.

I then walked up to Palewing “I’m so sorry that I couldn’t save you I was too weak” I said as I started to sob “I swear to you that I will save Equestria and kill the High King I’m not just doing it because I have to anymore but to keep your memory alive.

I cried next to Palewing for a few more minutes feeling useless I mean how could I save Equestria if i cant even save a friend its just so unfair she didnt have to die "I cant believe i couldnt do a damn thing to help her! I mean what the hell is wrong with me?" ‘Storm Chaser we need to go, I think the forest ends around here’
