The mane 6 find themselves in the middle of a slaughter fest. Ponies all over the place are being murdered by a creature that dwells in the dream world. He goes by the name Freddy Krueger (you know, the Robert Englund Freddy). And if the dream demon himself weren't bad enough, he's joined forces with a more familiar foe.

Warning: Just like the movies that spawned this crossover, there will be gore, violence, and swearing. If you are uncomfortable with this, don't read it. If you are scared by it...GOOD! Mwahahahahahaha!

My Little Nightmare
Chapter 2
“You’ve got the body, I’ve got the brain.”
Applejack looked at her sister Applebloom’s bed, only to find a huge indent in the middle filled with blood. There were signs of struggle showing that this was a murder of some sort. There was also blood literally covering the ceiling.
“Oh no,” Applejack said, “Not you too.” she said, her eyes tearing up. She soon proceeded to cry onto the bed. The tears mixing with the, still somewhat fresh, blood. She couldn’t sleep that night, she just stayed there, crying. Trying to pull herself together but never gaining a hoofhold.
The next morning, Granny Smith and Big Mac came in, and joined in her sobs of sorrow. As did the other two Cutie Mark Crusaders when they came over to get Applebloom for their daytime crusading. Later, Applejack finally managed to get herself together enough to walk to the library to tell Twilight what happened. Figured it would help them figure out what happened. She was just as stumped.
“I don’t understand, it was clearly the same person that killed Princess Luna, but how? The deaths show signs of magic, but Celestia said it was an invisible force. Magic shows an aura. Unless…”
“Unless what?”
“Unless it’s something to do with our dreams.”
“Twilight? Y’all really think now’s a good time to be joking? My sister was killed here.”
“I’m not joking, I’m serious. Last night, I had these nightmares about this...thing…”
-Flashback to her dream last night-
Twilight was standing on two legs outside some creepy house. She didn’t want to go inside, but yet, she felt compelled to. All the while, she heard little girls singing a jump rope song. It would take her a while to get over that song, because of how creepy it was.
“One, two, Freddy’s coming for you.
Three, four, better lock your door
Five, six, grab your crucifix
Seven, eight, stay up late.
Nine, ten, never sleep again.”
It was just that in a loop. She walked up to the door and opened it, hearing it creak with every inch. She felt the wind blow across her hairless face. She walked in, hearing the door slam shut after she was fully inside. She let out a small scream from being startled. Then sighed in relief, realizing, “Phew, it’s just the door.” She looked at a stairway leading down. Like the house, she didn’t want to go down them, yet she felt compelled to. She went down the stairs and ended up in some boiler room. She walked slowly as to be cautious of her strange surroundings. She noticed a fireplace-looking thing light itself on its own. Once again, she was startled. Now creeped out thoroughly, she decided to head for the exit. She turned toward the stairway she had arrived in, only to find a figure standing before him. It was clearly male with a brown fedora, a burned face, brown pants, black shoes, a red & green striped sweater, and an old brown glove on his right hand with blades on his four fingers. Twilight was scared out of her mind. She turned around trying to escape, but found him there now too. He chuckled with a deep demonic voice. It was so demonic that any louder and he’d be confused for a death metal vocalist.
“Well, well, well. If it isn’t Twilight Sparkle.”

“Welcome to Primetime, Bitch!”
“H-how-how do you know my name?” She could barely speak she was so scared.
“You see, this is my world, Twilight. I know everybody that goes in and out of my world.”
“Don’t you mean everypony?”
“If I were you, I wouldn’t correct the grammar of the guy with the knives. Besides, no, I don’t, because you’re only the third pony to come into my world. All the others have been human. But I’ll tell you this. You ponies are much more fun than they are.”
“Discord? Is that you?”
“Nope, but I do like the way he thinks. Now, I’m afraid our conversation’s up.”
“Does that mean you’re gonna kill me?”
“No, you got lucky. I just need you to tell your friends about me.”
“Why?” With that, she woke up back in bed as a pony again.
-end flashback-
“Wow, you really weren’t kidding.” Twilight nodded in response.
“It all felt so real. I even felt the wind outside the house.”
“Well, did y’all catch his name?”
“No, but the song said ‘Freddy’s coming for you’, so I’d assume his name is Freddy.”
“And ya reckon this guy went into Applebloom’s dream and killed her that way?” Once again, Twilight nodded.
“I’m not quite sure what else could possibly be happening.”
“Well, normally, I wouldn’t believe ya, but after the story you just told, I gotta think it’s at least a possibility. What bugs me is why did he want the rest of us ta know about ‘im?”
“I don’t know. But I don’t think I wanna find out. I can’t endanger you guys for my own life. It would be selfish...Uh oh…”
“What is it, Twi?”
“I just realized I told you about him, which means you could be in danger. Think you can go another night w/o sleep?”
“I’ll try, but I can’t guarantee anythin’.”
“You have to try. If not, you could be next, and the elements of harmony won’t work against him. Not only that, but I’d hate to lose any of you. It’s bad enough he got Applebloom, we can’t let him get to you, too.”
“Well, I’ll just have to be ready for ‘im, iffin’ he even shows up. I’ll know what I’m up against, so it should be easy.”
“But we don’t even know what power he may possess. You found Applebloom as a puddle of blood. He’d have to have a lot of power in order to do that.”
“Well, I’ll try to stay awake, then. From what we know, he can’t get me if I’m awake.”
“Alright. Sorry to hear about Applebloom.”
“Y’all don’t need ta worry ‘bout it. Ain’t your fault. Well, I’ll see ya.” Twilight nodded as her friend left the room, heading for home. Twilight began pacing in the room, not knowing what to do. Suddenly, she remembered something.
“Spike, take a letter.
‘Dear Princess Celestia,
I think I may have a lead on who killed Princess Luna. His name is Freddy, and, I know it sounds crazy, but I believe he kills his victims in their dreams, making them die for real. I gathered the information by having him be in my own dream last night. He didn’t tell me flat out, but I figured it out on my own. I’ll write you again if anything else comes up.
Your faithful student,
Twilight Sparkle.’ There, now we can send the princess that progress report and see what comes up.”

Sorry this one's so short. If you'd like to see Freddy kill a character you can't stand, just request it in the comments. If I get to it, that pony might just be Freddy's next victim. The only rules are no villains, Rainbow Dash or Twilight Sparkle. Anypony else is free to die.

Chapter 4: “Tell ‘em Freddy Sent Ya”
Twilight walked outside to Ponyville to maybe get a grip on ideas of what she could do about Freddy. She looked around and noticed a familiar stage.
“Trixie?” she asked looking at the stage in wonder. She went over it to see what was up, sure enough, Trixie was putting on a show. She had just displayed a fire spell, with modifications that made it harmless. She noticed Twilight place herself amongst the crowd.
“Excuse me one moment, there is something I have to do.” She left the stage going towards where Twilight was at. Twilight wasn’t sure how to react. Trixie had done a lot of damage the last time she was there, but perhaps she had changed. After all, she had just spoken in first-person for once. “Twilight Sparkle.”
“Yeah, Trixie?”
“I just wanted to apologize for the damage I had caused the last time I was here. Both to the town and your friends. That’s actually the real reason I came back to Ponyville. I’m sorry.”
“It’s alright, Trixie. You did the right thing, apologizing and not, you know, seeking revenge or anything like that.” The both chuckled slightly awkwardly due to the fact that neither one was used to the new Trixie.
“Well, I’ll meet back with you after the show. I’d hang out now, but they came to see me perform, so that’s what I’m going to do.”
“Go get ‘em, Trixie.” Trixie nodded and returned to the stage, continuing with her show. The spells were quite flashy, yet entertaining. Much different than her first visit. Afterwards, as promised, she returned to Twilight to talk, maybe even hang out.
“So, did you enjoy the show?”
“Yeah, it was amazing”
“Thanks”
“You’re welcome.”
“So you wanna hang out?”
“Sure”
“Alright.” And with that they headed off to the park and sat on a bench nearby. They were both having a good time as FRIENDS (got that, Twixie fans?). Anyways, they chatted and were having a good conversation. Twilight was telling Trixie about what happened since the last time they met, and Trixie told her how she had come to her realization that what she had done was wrong and the journey she took to apologize, they even shared a few laughs. It was clear Trixie was serious about her reformation, and Twilight accepted that. They sat there and chatted until Twilight remembered what had happened and realized she still needed information on Freddy.
“Well, it’s been great hanging out with you, Trixie, but I have something really important to do.”
“Oh, I understand. It’s alright. You go ahead.”
“Alright, maybe we could hang out with my other friends tomorrow.”
“That would be nice.”
“Okay, see ya.” And she had walked back home, hoping she didn’t accidentally offend her new friend, but still keeping in mind the situation. She needed any way necessary to get that information. Even if that means meeting with him again personally. And right now, that seemed like the best option, so she got home, then told Spike to wake her up if she seemed to be in danger. Spike agreed and Twilight slowly drifted off to sleep...

Chapter 5: “Bon Appetit bitch”
Twilight found herself that same way in front of the same house. All of a sudden, she felt something grab her shoulder, she screamed.
“Well, well, well, looks like you’re back for more, huh?”
“I have some questions for you, Freddy.”
Suddenly, they appeared in a room where they both sat down in chairs. “Well, then. Ask away.”
“First off, what is your last name?”
“Krueger. Full name’s Freddy Krueger.”
“Why are you killing all these ponies?”
“Because I want to.”
“Why is your face so burnt?”
“You see, I was originally human, the bastard son of a thousand maniacs they called me. My mother worked at an insane asylum where she was raped multiple times. I was a child murderer. That is until the parents tracked me down to the warehouse I would take my victims to and burned it down with me inside. I died and ended up becoming the thing you see before you today.”
“Wow. Well, maybe all you needed was some friendship.”
“Should’ve expected that response from a pony. Especially you. Besides, I’m fine with the way I am.”
“Well, your hat’s pretty cool.”
“Thanks, but compliments won’t keep you alive. You’ve somewhat done what I’ve asked. Your usefulness has run its course. But wait, I have somepony else in mind.”
“Who?”

He chuckled, “You’ll see”

And with that, Twilight woke up, startled a bit. “Spike, how long was I out?”
“An hour, why?”
“What!?” She looked outside and noticed the sun was down, “Oh no.”
“What’s wrong, Twilight?”
“He’s going to kill one of them.”
“Freddy?”
“Yeah, Freddy Krueger.”
“So you got more information?”
“I found out how he came to be who he is.”
“Well, what happened? I can send a letter to Princess Celestia.”
“Good idea, Spike.”
She told him the story of how Freddy Krueger came to be as he wrote it down onto the paper, and sent it off to Princess Celestia.
----Meanwhile------
Trixie found herself outside the house that Twi had been before, with the same form but different style, and that same creepy jump rope song.
“Well, if it isn’t the Great and Powerful Bitchie!”
“Wh-who are you?”
“I’d tell you, but you won’t be around long enough for it to matter. Now then, I have someone I’d like you to meet.” Suddenly, another Trixie appeared behind her.
“You think you have the audacity to call yourself the Great and Powerful Trixie?”
“No! I-I’m not like that anymore!”
“You might not think you aren’t, but do we ever really change?”
“No, no! Get away from me. I don’t want to be that jerk I used to be.”
“The Great and Powerful Trrixie a jerk? Why Trixie was just earning a living.”
“And we were putting others down to do so.”
“Only because they were beneath Trixie!”
“No, we’re not above anypony.”
“WE are not, but TRIXIE is!” With that, the ‘jerk’ Trixie walked up to her putting her face to face with herself, “And if you’re out of the way, then it’ll only be a matter of time.” With that, she used her magic to bash her head with a rock, knocking her onto the ground. Then Freddy’s claws appeared on her hand and she spoke with Freddy’s voice. “Nighty night, bitch!” And she swung her hand down, slashing her chest clean open, killing the newly reformed Trixie.

“Dear Princess Celestia,” the princess began, reading the letter Twilight had sent her, “We are happy to inform you that the one that had killed Luna, as well as two other ponies, has been brought to justice. We are glad to say Freddy Krueger should no longer be a problem again.” She smiled and began walking to her bed, “I knew I could count on them.” she said to herself. She laid down to rest her eyes. Just then, a hoof with a red & green striped sweater and a glove with 4 blades on it shot right through her chest, causing her to scream in terror as Freddy’s laughter could be heard.

It was just an average day in Ponyville. A cyan pegasus by the name of Rainbow Dash was relaxing on a cloud above without a care in the world. Suddenly, she heard a familiar voice.

"Rainbow Dash!" It was her friend, a purple unicorn by the name of Twilight Sparkle.

"Hey, Twilight. What's up?"

"I just got a letter from Princess Celestia, she says she has something to tell us and it's urgent."

"Well, what're we doing sitting around here for!? Let's go. Where are the others?"

"They're all back at the library. C'mon."

They got back to the library to see the other four of their friends waiting for them in the main room. There was a white unicorn named Rarity, a yellow pegasus named Fluttershy, and two earth ponies, one orange and named Applejack and the other pink and named Pinkie Pie. In the room was also Spike, a purple dragon and Twilight's assistant.

"Alright, is everypony ready?" Twilight asked. everypony else just nodded. "Then let's go."

A quick train trip to Canterlot later, they arrived at the castle and trotted into the throne room, only to find the princess in a very depressing state. She was pacing back and forth with tears streaming from her eyes. She was so upset, she didn't even hear the 6 come in. She was whispering to herself "Why in Equestria did it have to be her?"

"We came as soon as we could, your majesty...what's going on?" Twilight asked her mentor

"My sister, Princess Luna, has been murdered." A suprised gasp filled the room as the jaws of the mane 6 immediately hit the floor.

Chapter 1: "No running in the hallway!"

They couldn't believe what they just heard. Princess Luna wasn't only dead, but KILLED!

"I couldn't believe it, myself," Celestia told them, "but I watched it happen. It was a normal day, she was taking one of her daytime naps, when I heard her screaming in her room. I came in and saw her being dragged all over the room, bleeding like crazy. The strange thing was she seemed to still be sleeping, and I couldn't see who, or what, was dragging her. By the time the screaming stopped, she was on the ceiling with four blade cuts across her torso and blood was all over the room. I wouldn't usually trouble you with such a disturbing image, but I believe it might help you find out who did this."

"Could it have been Discord?" Twilight asked.

"No, even HE isn't this dark. Besides, he's still encased in stone." It was clear none of their former enemies would do this. This was a brand new threat. It was also obvious that whoever, or whatever, it was, they'd be their most dangerous threat to ever come to Equestria. They didn't know what to do. Even if they did find out who did this, would they even be able to stop them? All these thoughts were circling in their minds. Finally, Rainbow dash broke the silence.

"Don't worry, your majesty. We'll find out who did this and put them to justice."

"Thank you. I knew I could count on you six." And with that, they set off for home. Once they got back to Ponyville, it was already nighttime, so everypony went home to rest for the night. When Applejack got home, however, she felt the urge to check to make sure the family was all there...well, not ALL there, but you know...when she checked Applebloom's room, she realized the blanket was covered with some sort of liquid. she went over to it, to find that the liquid was blood. She put her head against her little sister's torso to find that there wasn't a heartbeat. She pulled off the covers to find blade cuts on her torso. They seemed to say something. They spelled out the words "HERE'S FREDDY!". Her eyes welled up with tears at what she was witnessing. Here was Applebloom, her little sister who hadn't even gotten her cutie mark yet, murdered. She couldn't sleep that night. All she could do was cry over poor Applebloom's corpse. When Big Macintosh and Granny Smith woke up and saw the same thing, they were also shocked and welling with tears. Princess Luna's death was bad enough, but now it got a whole lot more personal for Applejack. Now, she had an even bigger reason for taking down this menace.

“Welcome to my world, bitch!”
Twilight walked up to the house and knocked on the door. Right after, she heard a voice behind her.
“You just don’t know when to quit, do you?” she was startled, but turned and faced Freddy sternly, “I mean,” he continued chuckling, “I’ve met some dumb people in my day, but you, “ he laughed and then continued, “you take the cake.”
“I’m going to stop you?”
He laughed again in response, “What? With your little toys? Please, what makes you think that’ll work?”
“It has before.”
“Nothing’s worked in me before, but you wanna give this a shot, knock yourself out. Literally.”
“What do you mean?”
“You think the humans haven’t tried to stop me?” he points his left pinkie finger out, “first, they tried burning me,” he slices it off with the blades on his right hand, and puts his ring finger out, “Then, they tried burying me,” he slices that one off, “and this one’s my favorite,” as he put his middle finger up, flipping her the bird in the process, “they even tried holy water.” he slices it off, “and every time,” he flexes his fingers, all re-attached, “I just keep on tickin’. Keep that in mind when you try those shiny little trinkets on me.”
“I’m not scared of you, Krueger! Not anymore!”
“No, but your friends might be. Who’s to say they’ll be able to concentrate on using their elements? Especially that yellow one. She was too fun to kill earlier. The bitch was afraid of her own shadow!” he laughs at the memory of the time he went after Fluttershy.
“Don’t you dare talk about Fluttershy like that!”
“Awww, did I strike a cord?” Twilight couldn't take it anymore, she leaped at him, pinning him down best she could.
“C’MON, WAKE ME UP!!!”
On the outside, they heard her yelling and went to wake her up. She did wake up, and Freddy seemed to materialize before them, only as a pony.
“Now!” she said as her friend Pinkie tossed her her element of harmony, while everypony was wearing theirs already. It landed on Twilight’s head and they immediately began to begin. As usual, Twilight’s eyes went all white as a rainbow surrounded the three friends and then began swirling around Freddy. Faster and faster, and eventually, both the rainbow and Freddy had disappeared. They all stood there, panting heavily.
“Well,” Twilight began, “That worked...At least it’s all over now.” after a minute, she caught her breathe and said to her assistant, “Spike, take a letter!”
