Legends of Equestria: DemonStorm

Celestia stood tall surrounded by the strong and wounded of Canterlot. Looking at the group of heroes who had just fought through the city to reach her and restart magic in Equestria. But now the reset was more important than just starting this war with the Mo'ka, if they got magic back. More than just some offensive spells of fire to burn some demons. If magic can come back. Pony mages can shield the fighters and keep demons away. It would keep more ponies safe and take more of the enemy out than just open conflict. Somepony suddenly screamed out. Celestia looked up to see an armoured and armed human walk in. Guards raised weapons and aimed. The human replied in a mirror of the ponies. Celestia prepared a spell, as weak as it may be due to the little magic remaining in Equestria, but any spell would at least cripple the human. Maybe not kill him. Rainbow Dash rushed in still shooting, being the last one in the doors closed tight and locked under the dimming magic. The demons would break in soon. The rainbow Pegasus saw what was happening and jumped in front of the human. Raising her own gun to the ponies. Celestia was shocked.

"Wait. Crystal is a friendly." Rainbow pleaded. The guards looked to Celestia confused.

"What do you mean? How can this. Human be friendly?" Celestia asked. Looking at the scrawny man before her. He was certainly no Heavy Weapons Guy. Who was wondering around the castle with Luna and Slayer making sure no demons had found a weak spot in the defenses.

"I chose to join your side. However it took over a year to find you. I was bloody and broken and your student, and her friend. Saved me from death. I am on your side and have always hated what humans did to you before that battle." Crystal replied.

"What do you mean; 'before the battle?'" Celestia asked, tilting her head side wards.

"For you, it would only be what, three, four years. But for us, humans it has been generations. History tells in how Equestria and Earth almost collided. But the two planets stopped. Just before entering each others dimensions, from some saviour on your side. But human military has always found this to be a threat. Apparently after that day we understood that not only were we not alone in the universe. But there are many universes. So we developed theories on the Multiverse. For centuries we tried to find ways in universe jumping like our worlds once had. But could never find the technology. We were about to give up on finding life in the Multiverse. But we were so fixated mainly on finding a planet very Terran like. Your planet. We were so close to giving up. That was when our tech showed signs of a portal being opened. The worlds Commander-In-Chief suddenly declared war on whatever was on the other side of the portal construction began on huge war ships. We boomed in military domination. But since the world was finally at peace. We had nothing to fight. Until the portal opened and Equestria was found. You see Princess. Humanity has been planning Equestria's invasion since our planets last came near each other. That day shaped our future. And present. We were hell bent on finding life and discovering the secrets of the Multiverse. We forgot about any peace with new life. If we had found any other planet with life it would be gone. You see, we forgot about things like love and tolerance. And if us as a race were prepared to not only outnumber, outgun but have an open conflict with no warning or talks. That we were prepared to shot a little filly in the street, then shot a grieving mother, cripple her from flight and try to kill the father after he flow her away. Then I didn't want to be in that race.

"So you see Celestia. I am not a human. I am a man, the humans are evil. Manipulated and cruel. I am Crystal." Crystal replied to the princess. She wiped a tear away and stared at the human. Who nodded and walked away, dropping the guns. He sat down in the corner. Everypony in the room lowered their weapons.

During Crystals talk with Celestia everypony had untied Twilight and the Heart. Brought the stone device into the centre of the room and Shadow had woken up and was now shouting at Spectra. Everypony except those two were staring at the heart intently.

"So. How we going to get the Heart to. Ya know. Go?" Nick asked. Staring at the thing with his black lines which were his arms crossed over each other.

"Well Dari is the only one who would know. But she can't do it because Haze is the damn Siren now." Starburst grunted.

"I do know yes. How to teach Haze will be another matter. Without magic I literally have no input in how his magic works." Dari agreed.

"Well it is the Hearts fault we now have a mentally deformed Siren." Heart Breaker joked.

"Hey." Haze grunted.

"Sorry, but you understand about as much of Siren Magic as you do in knowing how to stay fucking dead." Heart Breaker replied. Winking. Haze just rolled his eyes.

"Dari!" Celestia called in a rather sing-song tune. The ex-Siren turned to see Celestia with Treeborn and Spectra's filly and colt. Rainbow instantly ran other and Dari got up to go see her magic born daughter.

"Now Rainbow, Dari. I have a few questions." Celestia muttered once the two mares were away from the others.

"Yes Princess." Dari replied. Smiling. Treeborn laughed and noticed Dari's lack of wings.

"Fly?" The filly asked.

"No, no fly. Not for me." Dari replied. Saddened she couldn't fly with her daughter once she knew how.

"Yes,that is one of them. But let's start at the beginning. How the, pardon my human, how the fuck is Haze back." Celestia asked. The swear sliding off her tongue like a bar of soap. Rainbow was shocked at the Princess using such language but she really was the only one who understood the most about swearing. For everypony else it was just how humans talked. How Haze had talked all those years ago. How he still bloody does.

"There was a portal. We received a parallel Haze. One of a dark and cruel Equestria. You were dead and Luna was a stallion, amount other differences. This Haze seemed okay, more aggressive and loud than what we expected but the same. Then we found the Heart. It did something to Haze when we got near it and the parallel one went and we got a bloody, raw living corpse that was our Haze. He was near on blind and completely lost. Only crying out for Dee or whoever spoke. He was crawling around. We debated whether to kill him or not. In mercy. But Dari here cast a powerful spell, aided by the Heart wherein she gave up her Siren powers, along with her wings and gave them to the Heart so it would heal Haze, but in a backlash, it gave the powers to Haze. So Dari lost her wings and Haze was a Siren. However he is still blind in his left eye. You probably saw it was near on pure white." Rainbow explained. Celestia nodded after a moment and looked to Dari who nodded in agreement.

"I see. Well I don't believe I have anymore questions. You can go back now." Celestia smiled.

"But Princess. What happened here?" Rainbow asked. The Princess raised her wings up slightly and looked to the door. The spell holding it shut should be giving of a solid red colour. But instead it was a pale pink colour, and fading. Celestia knew it was weakening when the banging on the doors began. Celestia turned to a guard. Aiming his gun at the door.

"Go find my sister and our guests. Bring them back here. We may need more gun." Celestia ordered. The guard nodded and galloped off. "Well a few days ago a portal opened up and a few demons appeared. We took most out without problem but around five escaped into the forest. Two days ago they returned, but with thousands. Either from similar portals or they had been breeding. We were instantly laid siege to and we held them out as long as we could. Two portals opened in that time for creatures of our side. A parallel pony named Slayer, apparent defender of Equestria and freedom fighter against the Equestrian Defense Force or EDF as he calls them. He has become a reliable fighter and brave soul. A lot like Haze. Then during the siege another portal. A human, he calls himself Heavy or Heavy Weapons Guy. He has some huge gun of some sort that was tearing demons apart in seconds. But even so we were slowly pushed back to the castle, where we have been hiding ever since." Celestia explained.

"But when we first arrived here we heard an explosion. It is why we came here." Rainbow muttered.

"Oh well, using complicated spells in such a low magic environment is deadly. A traitor mage discovered that. He had been talking about joining the demons or the Mo'ka, the 'winning team' as he referred to them as, for some time. But earlier he snapped and tried to blow the building up. But the protective wards not only backfired the spell. But due to its complication in spell castings manner, it failed and he managed to kill himself. Causing a small but loud explosion you heard earlier." Celestia explained. Dari and Rainbow nodded.

"So what is the plan?" Rainbow asked.

"Once my sister, Heavy and Slayer get back we restart Equestria's magic and break this siege." Celestia replied. The two mares nodded and the door banged loudly again from demon assult.

"Well they better hurry." Rainbow muttered, staring at the door. The shield was falling.
